Top DEA official to quit, cites Donald Trump's lack of respect for the law.

Courtesy of MSN:

The acting head of the Drug Enforcement Administration will resign at the end of the week, according to law enforcement officials, who said he had become convinced that President Trump had little respect for the law.

The official, Chuck Rosenberg, who twice served as chief of staff to the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey and remains a close confidant, had grown disillusioned with Mr. Trump. The president fired Mr. Comey in May, and then in July told law enforcement officers “please don’t be too nice” when handling crime suspects.

Mr. Rosenberg forcefully rejected Mr. Trump’s comment, sending an email to all D.E.A. employees at the time to tell them that they should not mistreat suspects.

“We must earn and keep the public trust and continue to hold ourselves to the very highest standards,” Mr. Rosenberg wrote in the internal email. “Ours is an honorable profession and, so, we will always act honorably.”

I actually don't see how any government official with any ethics can continue to work under Donald Trump.

I know that some probably see themselves as a necessary bulwark to resist the corruption that is spreading throughout the federal government, but I think they will ultimately find themselves corrupted as well or fired for not being team players.

Donald Trump did not get elected to drain any swamp. That was him projecting the fact that he was planning to install a swamp of his own design.

I would be surprised if by the end of this first four years, assuming he makes it that long, that the number of indicted Trump Administration officials will rival the number indicted, convicted, or subjected to a criminal investigation during the Reagan Administration.

That number by the way was 138.

Donny only knows where he has been. He needs to stop running rough shot. He needs to plug small business, and leave the government to the professionals.
But he's being stubborn right now. Shrug.

I was a young adult in those days, we did not get much information prior to. The evening news and news paper was it. Being young busy working and active in family I only remember some televised hearings and not understanding the full dossier of the crimes committed and guilt of those involved. Today we must sort through the groves of liars, evidence, victims and swamp to reach the tip of this sewer of dung.

HHS has already cut the open enrollment period in half, from 90 to 45 days, scheduling it to end December 15 as a fun surprise for people who in previous years may have waited until the end of the year to sign up. Instead of making ads promoting enrollment, the department’s using its promotion budget to make videos about “Families Burdened by Obamacare.” The budget for promoting open enrollment has been slashed by 90% and the administration is also cutting funds for in-person help with signing up. And since there’s a risk people might try to sign up for health insurance when they’re not at work, the signup website will be closed 12 am to 12 pm every Sunday, for “maintenance.”
"HHS would “not be supporting marketplace efforts by being out in the regions this year,” too bad, so sad:

OT?The U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence Committee issued subpoenas in August seeking “any and all documents” about both agencies’ dealings with former MI6 officer Christopher Steele, according to a letter seen by Reuters from committee chairman Devin Nunes

  8. Principal.

As for this directive, I hope the Principal is ready for his team to have a losing season when all of his best players get kicked off the teams for taking a knee. You know that Louisiana has a large majority of African American students in their public high schools and I would wager a large majority of their high school football teams consist of black players. You put out a directive like this and it is inviting defiance. This principal will be lucky if there are enough players left to play at all. Would be priceless if they had to forfeit because they didn't have enough players for needed substitutions.

If I were a parent, I wouldn't be letting my child play football anyway, not with all of the information we now have on traumatic brain injury specifically linked to football.

And it's PRINCIPAL, you dumbass journalist. This is why spellcheck is NOT enough.

I'm sorry to see an ethical man leaving public service; I know it is difficult to be an honest man among thieves.
