Check out what this frequent MSNBC contributor had to say about Trump's response to the Mueller indictment.

We might question Dworkin's sources in the interest of accuracy, but personally I think this sounds exactly as I would expect Trump to respond.

After all he has a pattern, and this certainly fits that pattern.

Besides this is exactly how I hoped he would respond.

P.S. I wrote this first thing this morning, and then later I looked to see if Trump had tweeted anything that would give these statements more credibility.

Twitler did not disappoint.
Damn! I hope someday to see this guy questioned under oath by Mueller and his team, because I have no doubt that he will trip himself up in the first ten minutes.

The guy possesses absolutely no chill.

""There is a lot of pressure on people who are under investigation to cooperate with Mueller after this indictment," Michael Zeldin, a lawyer who served as a special assistant to Mueller when he was director of the FBI, told the New York Daily News."
"Regardless of who receives an indictment on Monday, the fact that Mueller has already filed charges highlights a significant change in the investigation.""We're moving away from a political fight, where everyone can see it the way they want, and into ... a legal process — where there are rules of evidence, facts are established. ... Bob Mueller is known to be a pretty careful prosecutor," "I think it means this will be a rolling investigation. Rather than conduct his entire investigation and then wrap things up with indictments and possibly a report at the end, he is doing it in stages, the way the Justice Department might attack a drug cartel or a mafia family.""

    1. Exactly. Mueller wouldn’t be indicting unless he had charges. He wouldn’t be filing charges unless he had solid evidence and plenty of it.

This is no fishing expedition. It isn’t a bluff. He’s not doing this to put pressure on someone to cut a deal to GIVE him something. He already HAS something. Enough to stand up in court and get a conviction.

I do think that this is only the beginning. While he may have enough to convict the FIRST person on his list, this won’t be the LAST of it. And I think we all know where all this will eventually end.

The only question is what will happen first:

Trump will have a stroke or heart attack.
Trump will resign under a deal to escape prosecution.
      Trump will be impeached, successfully.
Trump will wait it out and things will move so slowly he serves his four terms and doesn’t run for re-election.

I think that last one is a long shot.

I think the first two are the most likely scenarios.

Trump Horrified As Adam Schiff Slashes Through His Steele Dossier Distraction In Seconds

During an interview on ABC’s This Week, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee investigating Trump and Russia, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), cut through the GOP Steele Dossier distraction in seconds with a single vital question.

    Video:

    http://www.politicususa.com/2017/10/29/trump-horrified-adam-schiff-slashes-steele-dossier-distraction-seconds.html

Trump Is Having A Real Time Frantic Unraveling Over The Russia Investigation Criminal Charges

...The President’s tweets are a bullhorn to the American people screaming of guilt. Trump’s tweets were loaded with lies. For example, the Steele Dossier wasn’t Clinton made. The research was initially funded by a conservative, and every report states that Steele worked independently of his funders. The dossier is opposition research, not campaign materials. Trump also openly states his belief that James Comey was part of a conspiracy against him. It isn’t Democrats that are using the Russia investigation for anything. There is a special counsel, and he just filed his first criminal charges related to the Trump campaign and Russia collusion.

Trump is living in that dark place of conspiracy and denial that no president’s mind has resided in such Richard Nixon. The President believes that he can make the Russia scandal go away with endless lies, but each lie digs him in a little deeper.

As the Russia investigation progresses, Donald Trump is unraveling on Twitter for the entire world to see.

"“These transactions -- which have not been previously reported -- drew the attention of federal law enforcement officials as far back as 2012, when they began to examine wire transfers to determine if Manafort hid money from tax authorities or helped the Ukrainian regime close to Russian President Vladimir Putin launder some of the millions it plundered through corrupt dealings.”CRIMEa

The Trump Organization vowed early on there would be ‘no new foreign deals’ during Trump’s tenure as president; these two projects in India were inked before his election. But the high-profile launches demonstrate that the pledge comes with an asterisk — agreements made years ago can move forward or be revitalized, such as the Trumps’ 2007 deal to build a luxury beachfront resort in the Dominican Republic that may be revived.” <Human Trafficking!

He wants to build a wall. He doesn’t want to fix infrastructure. He doesn’t want to sanction Russia. He wants to continue building his “empire.”

Gowdy: Republican Lawmakers Should Let Mueller ‘Do His Job’

House Oversight Committee chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) on Sunday said he would encourage Republican colleagues who are calling for an end to special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election to “give the guy a chance to do his job.”

“Do you support any effort to either curtail or end the Mueller investigation?” Chris Wallace asked Gowdy on “Fox News Sunday.”

“I don’t, and I readily concede I’m in an increasingly small group of Republicans,” Gowdy said. “I think Bob Mueller has a really distinguished career of service to our country.”

CNN reported Friday night that Mueller filed the first official charges in his investigation into the Trump campaign and administration’s dealings with Russia.

Gowdy said Mueller is “a pretty apolitical guy.”

“I would encourage my Republican friends, give the guy a chance to do his job,” he said. “The result will be known by the facts, by what he uncovers.”

NBC/WSJ Poll: Trump’s Approval Rating At Its Lowest Since He Took Office

...The drop for Trump has come from independents (who shifted from 41 percent approval in September to 34 percent now), whites (who went from 51 percent to 47 percent) and whites without a college degree (from 58 percent to 51 percent).

Ex-US Attorney Bharara: Mueller will watch for Trump’s overreaction to Monday’s arrests before making next move

Appearing on CNN’s State of the Union, former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said that Special Counsel Robert Mueller will be keeping a keen eye on how President Donald Trump reacts to the indictments being handed down — and arrests expected to be made on Monday — before making his next move.

Speaking with host Jake Tapper, Bharara — who was dismissed by Trump — said the Trump’s history indicates he may lash back, and that could be telling.

“We know from history, at least from several months, that the president of the United States has strong reactions to public events, even events that have been caused by his own actions,” Bharara explained. “So after he fired Jim Comey, he went on television with [NBC’s] Lester Holt and said some things that were incriminating in connection with a obstruction investigation. He said he fired Comey with, being on his mind, facts related to a Russia investigation.”

“So I would look for a couple things,” he continued. “I would watch and see if Donald Trump has a reaction and talks in away that could be used against him in the future. The second thing I would look at is if the president sends some kind of message to the potential defendant or at other witnesses. Is he sending a message of intimidation in some way through himself and his cohorts, suggesting that people should not be talking and should keep their mouths shut?”

The former U.S. Attorney also suggested that Trump could use a presidential pardon to temporarily derail the process.

“Well, because i think we have to call a spade a spade,” Bartlett shot back. “I think one of the problems in the media is that they’re afraid to say Trump is lying. Five Things to Watch as Robert Mueller Makes His First Big Move

The special counsel may be charging someone close to Trump in order to “flip” that person.

First, an indictment means that a grand jury has found that probable cause exists to believe that a crime has been committed by a particular defendant or defendants. Probable cause means a reasonable basis or fair probability that a crime has been committed, a lower standard of proof than the guilt beyond a reasonable doubt required for conviction at trial. But Department of Justice policy provides that a prosecutor should file charges only if there is a reasonable likelihood of conviction at trial, where the standard of proof is guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Because Mueller is required to comply with DOJ policy, an indictment means that he and his team believe that they have evidence sufficient to meet this higher standard.

Second, this is likely only the first of several indictments.

As usual, not one word of Trump’s Twitter rant is factually accurate or true. But it does reveal just how severely he’s now panicking. He’s not threatening to do anything, or vowing to take any action. Like the anti-leader that he is, Trump is begging others to “do something” to save him. It might be a little late on that front, with Mueller set to arrest one or more of his Russia co-conspirators tomorrow. But Trump wasn’t done, as he added one more tweet which revealed just who it is he’s hoping will save him.

The man who helped cool Trump's Russia rage

White House lawyer Ty Cobb, a veteran of multiple special prosecutor investigations, helped coach the president on what not to say as Mueller ramps up his probe.

Since the end of July, President Donald Trump has noticeably tempered his public complaints about the Russia investigation, avoiding any Twitter allusions to a “witch hunt” or threats to fire special counsel Robert Mueller.

That’s partly due to the intervention of White House lawyer Ty Cobb, who since joining the administration 2½ months ago has impressed upon Trump the risks of using such loaded language when it comes to Mueller, according to a White House official and several sources familiar with the president’s legal strategy.

Cobb’s ability to keep Trump’s Russia rage under control is going to be tested in the months ahead as Mueller’s probe heats up.

By a margin of 46%-28% voters surveyed in the NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll said that they want to elect a Democratic Congress in 2018 to limit and check Trump.

NBC News reported, “46 percent, say their vote in November 2018 will be to send a message for more Democrats to serve as a check and balance to Trump and congressional Republicans. That’s compared with 28 percent who say their vote will be a message for more Republicans to help Trump and congressional Republicans pass their agenda. Another 22 percent said their vote would be a different message than either of those two choices.”

Hillary would be so much better as POTUS! She's smart, experienced at so many levels of our government, dedicated and pro women and children (something she's been since starting in politics all those many years ago).

Trump knows he doesn't measure up to her and hates the fact she got more votes than he in the election.

Just think how much easier it would be for Doug Jones to win if he actually had the Democratic Party behind him?

The DNC will wait until the last minute, then do some token stuff to make it look like they supported him. Just like they did with the four candidates before him.

“Straight out of the Kremlin.” Media writer exposes the GOP’s Russian playbook

The Republican Party isn't even trying to hide their emulation of Vladimir Putin anymore.

...The Republican Party used to feel quite differently about Vladimir Putin’s Russia. Indeed, their own candidate in 2012 labeled the country as our “number one geopolitical foe.”

But ever since Russia helped the GOP win the White House — installing Donald Trump in the Oval Office instead of their common target of irrational hatred, Hillary Clinton — suddenly Republicans are singing a different tune.

And it’s a starkly disturbing and highly un-American one.

After news broke Friday that special counsel Robert Mueller had secured the first indictment — and possibly more than one — the Trump team and the right wing went into immediate panic mode.

And of course, that had to involve desperate claims that Clinton is the real corrupt one among us, that the “real Russia” scandals are the Trump dossier that was partially funded by the Clinton campaign and the debunked conservative spin about the Uranium One deal involving Russia’s nuclear energy agency.

As a GOP strategist noted, this is all “total misdirection.”

And as Shareblue Media’s Eric Boehlert pointed out, it’s also “classic Putin.”

“This is straight out of the Kremlin,” he added.

“You take what is being accused of you and you turn it around,” he continued, noting that this is nothing new for the GOP.

    https://shareblue.com/straight-out-of-the-kremlin-shareblue-media-writer-exposes-the-gops-russian-playbook/

On eve of indictments, desperate Trump demands smearing of Mueller in full-scale meltdown

...No matter how much Trump and his cronies try to push their bizarre alternative reality where Clinton is the president who must be held accountable, the actual reality is that it is the corruption-laden Trump team currently in power, and in the line of sight of Mueller.

The repugnant smearing of Mueller, a decorated Vietnam veteran, will also not serve to distract the public from the truth.

And Trump can tweet all he wants, but he should keep one thing in mind: These are all admissible as evidence. Perhaps Republicans should consider that, too.

    https://shareblue.com/on-eve-of-indictments-desperate-trump-demands-smearing-of-mueller-in-full-scale-meltdown/

Wall Street Journal hints there may be more than one indictment coming in Russia probe

When CNN dropped a Friday bombshell, reporting that a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., had approved the first charges in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, all thoughts immediately turned to what name might be within the sealed indictment.

Saturday, the Wall Street Journal kicked that speculation into high gear by hinting that it may be more than one.

“At least one person was charged Friday,” the Journal notes, adding pointedly, “The number and identity of the defendants, and the charges, couldn’t be determined.”

It will likely only be mere days before the facts emerge, but the list of possible names is well-known already.

...And those names don’t even comprise the entire slate of possible indictments, which could also include former Trump policy adviser Carter Page and Trump lawyer Michael Cohen.

Indeed, Trump’s circle is a dark one, and it seems as though no one in his orbit is operating above board.

If I had my druthers Mueller would strike at the heart of the beast on the first go-round: Rebecca Mercer. If there is the prospect for exposure of the evil and some measure of justice to be had, this big fish's capture would slay that dragon. For dessert, I'd like to see Rohrabacher next, because of the terror that would ensue among the colluding co-conspirators in the legislative branch. I think staffers and congresspeople would fall all over each other in exposing the criminality they know about (Ryan"that's how we know we're a family"). Nobody much would miss Rohrabacher anyway. Devin Nunes, likewise.

“The truth is important.” GOP strategist nails Fox shill for “total misdirection” on Russia

Fox News and the right wing have been doing their best to distract the public from the reality of the Russia investigation. But a GOP strategist didn't hold back from calling one of them out for their "total misdirection."

...But GOP strategist Matthew Dowd — who noted that he is not exactly a Clinton fan — was having none of it.

“We need to give up the David Copperfield or Harry Houdini award for misdirection in this thing,” Dowd said.

He noted the similarity to the Obama-era Uranium One deal, made while Clinton was secretary of state, and which the right wing has insisted, erroneously, was a major scandal because it involved people who had made large donations to the Clinton Foundation. Dowd noted that story has been “debunked all along the way.”

“There is no similarity between what Robert Mueller’s investigation on collusion and what the Russians wanted to do, and a dossier paid for in part by the Democrats,” he declared.

...“Every single intelligence agency said: not only did the Russians interfere in our election — they were interfering on behalf, to get Donald Trump elected and Hillary Clinton defeated,” Dowd stated.

“The argument that has to made on the dossier is that somehow Hillary Clinton and the Democrats contributed to her own defeat by what the Russians wanted by doing that,” he added.

I think Trump expected to lose in 2016, and really did the entire campaign to boost his ego and have fun spewing hatred and racist dog whistles.

He increased his brand value enormously, and gained huge cred with the alt-right and the evangelicals in the process by pandering shamelessly to the 7 mountains crowd.

WHen he found out he won, and he'd have to change gears and actually be "Presidential" he probably thought it would just be delegating shit to underlings, making speeches, and getting even with Obama for the insults at the dinner.

Even someone as narcisistic, delusional, ignorant, and entitled as Trump was due for a wakeup call when it began to dawn on him just how huge a job it is being PResident, and how much work it entails

Trump, being a titanic entitled sociopath began to immediately find out being President was not being a King, and that enrages him more and more.

Being an idiot, he fired Comey, not realizing what that entailed, and what it might do to him in the long run.

When Sessions recused, and Mueller was appointed, it hit him like a bomb, realizing that the corruption and dirt might actually get revealed, and he could not dare to fire Mueller.

The cumulative effects of the pressure, lawsuits, bad press, sinking polls, people mocking him, and zero accomplishments are really taking a toll.

I bet when he heard indictments are imminent, he completely lost it and was literally screaming into the phone for Kushner, Ivanka, Sessions, and others to DO SOMETHING, exactly as his desperate tweet reveals.

    https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/924641278947622913

If this thing has real legs, and Manafort or Carter Page, or Flynn flip on him, and/or there is solid proof of money laundering or campaign collusion, his future is grim.

Donations for 2018 elections would dry up.

At very least, a group of Repub Senators could block his legislation based on principle.

Worst case, if Dems take the house in 2018, impeachment hearings would begin in earnest, and more evidence will come to light.

Nothing like this has been seen in American politics since Nixon days and the Watergate debacle.

Let's hope it ends in Trump resigning for "health reasons" and that Trump can be controlled and stopped from starting a war to divert attention.

This afternoon, Comey posted a conspicuously timed tweet. He included a picture of the Washington DC monument to Martin Luther King Jr, and added that “We are in an ‘inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.'”

So at a time when the most treasonous plot in modern American history is finally about to result in the first arrests of some of the co-conspirators, James Comey appears to be trying to provide big picture context. He seems to be reminding Americans that the Trump-Russia crisis affects us all, and that we all await the same fate. It’s not a coincidence that Comey re-entered public life this week, just as it was becoming clear that Robert Mueller was preparing to take Donald Trump down.

Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH) on Sunday said President Donald Trump is being “too defensive” with his remarks dismissing Russian interference in the 2016 election.

Asked on NBC News’ “Meet the Press” about Trump’s remarks calling Russian meddling a Democratic “excuse for losing an election” and a “hoax,” Portman said he does not agree with Trump.

“Too defensive. I mean, look, he won,” he said. “And we ought to instead focus on the outrage that the Russians meddled in our elections.”

Portman said Russia interfered “long before Donald Trump.”

“They’re going to do it long after Donald Trump, if we don’t do something about it,” he said. “So we need to get to the bottom of it. And we need to go where the facts lead us.”

As Robert Mueller moves in, Donald Trump Jr caught connecting with Russian puppet on Twitter

During the course of the election and its aftermath, The Intercept reporter Glenn Greenwald – who had initially claimed to be a supporter of Bernie Sanders – gradually revealed himself to instead be a Donald Trump apologist and a Russian puppet with ties to Julian Assange and Edward Snowden. Today, for reasons known only to him, Donald Trump Jr began following Greenwald on Twitter. It’s not clear why Junior would begin following Greenwald, though the most logical reason would be in order to facilitate a direct message conversation between them.

Donald Trump Jr didn’t appear to realize that anyone would catch him in the act of following Greenwald – but let’s just say people noticed. More accurately, a computerized algorithm caught him in the act. There’s an automated Twitter account called “Trump Alert” whose sole purpose is to monitor Trump’s people on Twitter and announce any changes. Sure enough, Trump Alert tweeted “DonaldJTrumpJr has just followed @ggreenwald” this afternoon.
