Nazi sympathizer upset that he lost his job after the Washington Post revealed that he was a Nazi sympathizer.

Courtesy of WaPo:

Tony Hovater, the white nationalist and Nazi sympathizer featured in a controversial New York Times article this weekend, said he lost his job and would soon lose his home following a swift backlash over the article.

Hovater, a 29-year-old Ohio resident, told The Washington Post on Wednesday that he has been fired from his job and that he and his wife, Maria, are in the process of moving out of their home in New Carlisle, Ohio, for financial and safety reasons. They could no longer afford to pay the rent, he said, and somebody had published their home address online.

“It’s not for the best to stay in a place that is now public information,” he said, adding later: “We live alone. No one else is there to watch the house while I’m away.”

The lengthy Times profile that was published Saturday portrayed the daily and seemingly normal life of Hovater, whom writer Richard Fausset described as the “Nazi sympathizer next door” and a “committed foot soldier” of the far-right movement. The article also described Hovater as a “Seinfeld” fan whose “Midwestern manners would please anyone’s mother.”

Hovater said that he, his wife and his brother-in-law were fired Monday. All three worked at 571 Grill & Draft House, a small restaurant in New Carlisle.

The restaurant’s owners said in a statement Wednesday that they did not know of Hovater’s white nationalist views until the Times article was published. They said the article illustrated “some very disturbing images and thoughts” that they do not share.

That is the problem with people finding out you are a Nazi, they tend to be less than impressed by the news.

Personally I do not feel even a little remorse that this asshole lost his job. I do feel a little pity for his children however, and I certainly do not support the threats made against his family or the restaurant where he once worked since that is indefensible.

As for suddenly being unemployed, well I am sure there is a job at Bretbart just waiting for him.

P.S. Here is the original article that started the trouble.

I didn't see any mention of children but if any suffered, perhaps the parents should have considered the consequences of being Nazis. We need to root these people out as quickly and thoroughly as possible. We already had a world war over this and these fucking cowards lost.

He shouldn't worry; David Duke will come to his rescue. Or maybe Trump will give him an ambassadorship somewhere. Or he can become a GOP candidate for Congress.

Time to financially starve Nazi sympathizers and sexual predators. If you’ve been fired by a company for sexual harassment or worse, a law should be passed to have that termination become a question on any job application. Have you ever been terminated due to a sexual harassment allegation?

Gee? I think the word your looking for is "conviction" convicted without reason of doubt. Any skank can accuse. Allegation is just someone accusing someone. Its not that easy. And remember? anyone can accuse anyone for anything at anytime. Usually rules of procedure and an ethical court of law sorts this out.

6:23 if you’ve been terminated from a job due to sexual harassment you’ve been found guilt by the company.

Even in at will states the employee has employment rights. Wrongful termination is usually looked at through administrative law judge. Corporations usually put employees on paid administrative leave until decided. If a person is wrongfully terminated due to accusations? That employer will be paying big bucks to that employee if found innocent. Yes a skank are the few women that would falsely accuse a man for profit or to ruin a career. I believe those women should be convicted along with those who aided her LIES. get it sheriff nano? Just like nasty lying men there are nasty dirty lying women.

what the kids? should we starve them because dad or mom said something not right. this is getting a little out of hand. a person should be have an invesitgation before firing. funds should be made for for food and rent for such a length of time-paid directly to store and landlord. i don't want to see kids on the street just because dad's an ass. we have homeless kids who come into the store i work at. they get milk and something to eat because i pay for it. the shelter last for only so long and it is a bad place.

I have no sympathy for him either. Choices and convictions have consequences, as he is now finding out.

Ohio is an "at will" state, so too bad so sad. While I do not support threats of any kind, Hovater's job was in the service industry so, what, another "I refuse to wait on/cook for" non-white people, LGBTQ, etc. and here we go again.

The owners had every right to say, "don't let the door hit ya..."

I don’t know why people think “free speech” means you can say and do whatever you want without consequences from private citizens.

The lowlifes who think the way this "thing" does do NOT understand that every single right we have has limits. ALL of them, including the 2nd and free speech and religion.

I don't believe they ever will.

I don't like labels but this pos gives "white" a bad one. WTF is he fighting for? white people? who the F are they? I'm so tired of dump chits. And who is the genius that developed the "white" box on applications and everything? Each of us has heritage and a majority percent of us are british isles of some actual nationally because our ancestors fled for various reasons. You may not know yet. But DNA ancestry will tell you what box to check. "white" is a made up label that this pos and others like him are using around the globe to inject ignorance and hate in societies. It must be stopped and ban everywhere immediately. And lets change the box from "white" to British Isles. All of us should have dual citizenship and bridge to our heritage.

There is a whole lot of mental illness out there. It seems to connect to this trump guy, global white nationalist, alt right, and a few ding dong militias types coming home from man made war for profit. The Republicans built it, own it and will be dismantled due to it. They are traitors to America. There is no forgiveness to that according to our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

on both sides. our president needs medication and a straitjacket-and to be impeach. looks like that may happen even sooner than i hoped. there is a lot of lose screws in congress-republican and democrat. time to vote them out. let's take our country back and turn it into the country the Forefathers wanted it to be.

Maybe I’m old fashioned, but I don’t have a problem with people threatening nazis. Millions of people have died to stop nazi ideology and these assholes want to bring it back. Threaten away non-Nazies!

"it would not be a big stretch to define him as a "hate group" under the FBI's simple definition: “an organization whose primary purpose is to promote animosity, hostility, and malice against persons of or with a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, or gender identity which differs from that of the members or the organization.”"

i'm sorry, but losing your job over beliefs you didn't announce to the world isn't right. did he try to recruit at work? does he have a nazi flag out side his house? did he partake in a violent rally? these are the questions to ask. i hate the nazi's and everything they stand for-for everything they have done. but we have rights in this country and they cover us all. we take away some one's rights like this and we could be next. i could be fired because i a am a Mormon. you could be fired because you are a republican. or went to jail for bad checks or another non-violent crime. or you're gay. hell, i couldn't find a job because i'm fat or could lose my job over that. watch what you say. you could next.
