Donald Trump frees up more time in his daily schedule to watch TV.

Courtesy of Axios:

Trump's days in the Oval Office are relatively short – from around 11am to 6pm, then he's back to the residence. During that time he usually has a meeting or two, but spends a good deal of time making phone calls and watching cable news in the dining room adjoining the Oval. Then he's back to the residence for more phone calls and more TV.

Take these random examples from this week's real schedule:

  • On Tuesday, Trump has his first meeting of the day with Chief of Staff John Kelly at 11am. He then has "Executive Time" for an hour followed by an hour lunch in the private dining room. Then it's another 1 hour 15 minutes of "Executive Time" followed by a 45 minute meeting with National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster. Then another 15 minutes of "Executive Time" before Trump takes his last meeting of the day — a 3:45pm meeting with the head of Presidential Personnel Johnny DeStefano — before ending his official day at 4:15pm.
  • Other days are fairly similar, unless the president is traveling, in which case the days run longer. On Wednesday this week, for example, the president meets at 11am for his intelligence briefing, then has "Executive Time" until a 2pm meeting with the Norwegian Prime Minister. His last official duty: a video recording with Hope Hicks at 4pm.
  • On Thursday, the president has an especially light schedule: "Policy Time" at 11am, then "Executive Time" at 12pm, then lunch for an hour, then more "Executive Time" from 1:30pm.

Trump's schedule wasn't always like this. In the earliest days of the Trump administration it began earlier and ended later. Trump would have breakfast meetings (e.g. hosting business leaders in the Roosevelt Room). He didn't like the longer official schedule and pushed for later starts. The morning intelligence briefing ended up settling around 10:30am.

Aides say Trump is always doing something — he's a whirl of activity and some aides wish he would sleep more — but his time in the residence is unstructured and undisciplined. He's calling people, watching TV, tweeting, and generally taking the same loose, improvisational approach to being president that he took to running the Trump Organization for so many years. Old habits die hard.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders of course pushed back on this:

“The time in the morning is a mix of residence time and Oval Office time but he always has calls with staff, Hill members, cabinet members and foreign leaders during this time,” Sanders said in a statement to Axios. “The President is one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen and puts in long hours and long days nearly every day of the week all year long. It has been noted by reporters many times that they wish he would slow down because they sometimes have trouble keeping up with him.”

I'm sorry but at this point I just reject out of hand anything that this White House says.

You just cannot listen to them lie to you day after day, and then take a denial like this seriously.

I absolutely think the Axios report is accurate, and it fits in well with everything we know about this fat, lazy, phony.

One reason why Christians are happier than non-believers is because "church" whether you attend services or not is a
"hospital for sinners." Non-believers are of the bad opinion that most Christians are judgmental and that is just false. ALL Christians want is people to mind theirs and let others mind theirs while fighting the daily grind and striving to be better every day. I'm not too sure many liberals truly understand this considering how many I see repeat the same sins against humanity.

If going to a place of worship makes you uncomfortable, there are many other ways to "practice" being a Christian or whatever you want to align yourself with and it doesn't make you less than what you want to be.

Paula White, a prosperity gospel minister who has often served as a spiritual adviser for President Donald Trump, has regularly drawn criticism from conservative Evangelicals for preaching what they consider to be “heretical” teachings that warp the divine message of the Gospel.

A lot of Christian's are liberals, the ones who refuse to be manipulated by fear. I just don't think that good Jewish man, Jesus would align himself with many professed Christians. I've always said when Jesus comes back it will be a certain type of Christian that will nail him back to the cross. If you couldn't get his message the first time, I doubt you'll comprehend the message the second time. Saw a bumper sticker a few years back, that says it like it is.... Jesus is coming, and he is gonna be pissed!!

being a Christian i find myself agreeing with some of your points. the first being-the topic here is trump. second, some churches are very greedy. some churchs run homeless shelters. there would would be none here in the small city in Wisconsin where i live. it's been below zero for weeks now. some churches provide a meal a day. some pay rent for people, provide clothing and good day care so people on the bottom can work. if you haven't to a food pantry lately you would not know churches run those as well. without these people some people would die. you have the right not to be Christian or not. i respect your beliefs. kindly show a little towards mine. it has always been Christianity who has helped those who need help. we only tithe if we want too, and how much we want too. did you have a nice Christmas=Christ's mass. don't forget your Easter eggs!

They are desperately trying to coverup his unstable health and mental state. He's an old man who is failing, miserably, and they are doing all they can to acquiesce to his sick and twisted demands so they don't get trashed on Twitter. He is a fuck up, a lazy piece of shit and we are screwed until we get him the fuck out.

Garrett Haake of NBC News reported on the Republican strategy when asked about Trump’s sanity and intelligence, “Deflect at much as possible. Degrade the quality of the journalism in the book and to the degree possible and someone like Lindsey graham does it all the time, laugh it off. Try to change the subject. Generally the way Republicans are handling this issue.”

Egads! I once worked fro an investmetn bank team. One was a very hard workign, extremely qualified financial advisor. The other was what we called Mr. Social Butterfly. Flitting from one desk and office conversation to another, but never accomplishing anything. Mr SB would come back ot eth area and begin with grandiose planse fro snagging anothe rclient, and huge worklists for everyone else. We quickly learned never to bother beyond typing teh Get address for _________ becuase by tomorrow, SB's attention woudl be elseshere, and if you actually presented completed work, it was, "well I decided that wasn't worth our time." I think our beagles worked harder than Trump does. They were very active between the morning naps, afternoon naps, evening naps and then sleep at night.

Actually I don't think Trump ever "worked hard." He never had to shovel snow in the morning or after work. He never had to mow the grass or rake the leaves. He never had to commute for over 1 1/2 hours a day, then come home and fix dinner, clean up, and do laundry. He never had to squeeze in Christmas shopping and grocery shopping during the weekend.

All those real estate deals Trump brags about so much were made by others, primarily lawyers, and all Trump did was sign on the dotted line.

I believe a pre-schooler spends more time “working” than trump does.

Executive time-is this code for tv and twitter time? For someone that brags he only sleeps 3-4 hours a day, why does he get to “work” at 11 am, according to his so called schedule he could be done “working” by 11 am since he goes to be at 6:30 with his cheeseburgers.

If this was suppose to demonstrate how hard he works, it is a big failure like everything else trump does.

I am beginning to think he is just a figurehead, obviously he has no clue what is going on and his only function is to go to rallies. Pence, McConnell and Ryan are running the country.
