Following Donald Trump’s much awaited medical exam on Friday, the White House released a statement purportedly written by the doctor who administered the exam. The note said the exam went “exceptionally well” and pronounced Trump to be “in excellent health.”
There’s just one problem: As Rachel Maddow pointed out Friday night, it appears that the note was not, in fact, written by White House physician Ronny Jackson.
The statement was signed “Dr. Ronnie Jackson,” so unless the White House doctor suddenly forgot how to spell his own name, it would appear that someone else in the White House released the note and put the doctor’s name on it.
It should also be noted that most medical doctors sign their name, followed by their degree (for example, “Ronny Jackson, MD, FAAEM“), rather than using their title (“Dr.”).
And then there's this.
You know you would think that a White House that lies as often, and as casually as this one does would be better at this sort of thing. But in 2010, the WH Physician did issue a more detailed same-day report on Pres Obama's first physical in office. Feb 28, 2010, including lab results.— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) January 13, 2018
I would think that there must be a ton of reporters working to get an interview with this doctor right now.
And if they are not they are really falling behind on the job.
"Excellent health" my ass.
It has Trump's little fingerprints all over it. But then we don't expect anything except lies and deception from him. Another normal day in America. SHIT! this is getting so old.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else in trumpland orbit the poor guy was either bribed, bought off, extorted, threatened or harassed in order for frumpy trumpy to continue his scam. Lets hope the guy is ethical and honest.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope the AMA holds him to it!

Delete7:24 - The problem is that HIPAA laws are very strict regarding the release of a patient's medical information. He can only disclose what he is given permission by the patient to disclose, and you can bet that Trump will not allow him to share any of the accurate and specific results.
Delete7:24 please go do some research on HIPAA law and fraud and national security issues. I am tired of posting about it. In fact, all of IMer, go do some research or look in the archives. Years ago we posted this info.
DeleteIf I have time, I'll go look in my documents and repost it.
Hey Gryphen, why not do a new post on HIPAA and fraud and national security. Let's open up the info for more to see.
Anon at 9:31pm. Remember that the medical report issued regarding Hillary Clinton was complete - with test results - and mentions of ongoing issues to watch. At this point in his life, Trump has to have a slew of issues, now chronic. Very few people reach their seventies (I know this from personal experience) without some medical issues. Even those of us, who (fortunately) never have to be around him personally, are aware of at least some of them: weight, preferred diet, anger management issues, verbal problems, gait and energy issues, obvious memory issues, hand issues as evidenced by his inability to hold a water bottle with one hand or even pick it up with one hand. And on and on. Many problems are probably age related. But they're there and should be reported on.
DeleteAnd then there's the tone of the so-called report that is just like the one produced during the 2016 campaign: full of hyperbole and unlikely superlatives. Remember Trump's supposed to be the "healthiest" inhabitant of the White House - ever.
Beaglemom
Give me a break! That's not an Official or detailed report of Trump's physical. That sounds more like a summary that came from Trump's 20-something mistress, Dr. Hope Hicks.
DeleteWe need to remember when we attack Trump, we align ourselves with him. We need to spread LiGHT not dark. LOVE not hate.

DeleteGo ahead Sarah! Take credit for the idea! You know you want to. Why should Donald get all the glory?
Delete*grin*
Dr CBJ wasn't it her thing to care for abused children? I think Sarah gave her an award.
DeleteYou read my mind 4:34!!
Delete7:20
DeleteCBJ is a family practice physician FPP. As such, she can attend the birth of a standard risk pregnancy, like a midwife can. Her real specialty area was/is abused, mostly sexually, children. What she couldn't have done, without much annual competency renewal such as doing c sections to keep up her skills, is attend a high risk pregnancy. She was not qualified. Neither was MtSu regional hospital credentialed for high risk births. So, the whole inducing a high risk pregnancy shit is fraud.
Sarah nominated CBJ for FPP of the year award, which the doctor won from the FPP group. They should be SO PROUD of the phucking fraud they lauded. The nomination was years before Sarah called on the doctor and told her "YOU OWE ME. Sarah and McCain ran roughshod over her and CBJ never corrected anything.Shame on her.
Now she no longer acts as an FPP. She continues to act as medical director of ALaska Cares which cares for abused and neglected children.
For comparison: Here is Dr. Ronny Jackson's 2016 report regarding President Obama's medical exam. https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/sites/whitehouse.gov/files/documents/Physical_Exam_March_2016.pdf

President Donald Trump’s White House was caught completely unprepared for Saturday’s false alarm about a missile attack on Hawaii, said Politico.
DeleteThe news about the potential attack “sent White House aides scrambling” as they frantically called federal agencies trying to find out what to do and how to respond, raising serious questions about their preparedness for an actual attack — nearly a year into Trump’s presidency.

Trump will take care of that little problem. It's a free country, he doesn't have to care about California. Only 18 dead and they are crying about the inconvience of their little roads being blocked. boo hoo...
I was heartened to read comments today on Wonkette from people who are liberal but who don't think Rachel Maddow is all that great. People were weary of her repetitive natural of explaining things, her blinking, her giggling and yes, her hand waving. I know this remark will upset Gryphen and he'll probably block it since he's as thon skinned as Trump. But it was nice to see thst other people can give valid criticism to this woman and not be called homophobic. Maybe oeople should try it here.
ReplyDeleteand maybe you should go somewhere else, if all those places are so much better. Better yet just go blow yourself, like Bannon. Cause no one else will even give you the time of day.
DeleteMSNBC has four anchors, each with a different style -- Chris Hayes; Rachel; Lawrence O'Donnell; and Brian Williams.
DeleteI note the criticisms of Maddow are about her style, not her content.
I am not much of a Rachel fan either, but thank you for your sermonette! I will do penance tomorrow in honor of you.
Delete"People were weary of her repetitive natural of explaining things, her blinking, her giggling and yes, her hand waving."
DeleteThose are valid criticism?
Because Rachel has a show, and come-to-Jesus Palin can barely ride herd on her kids. Damn lesbians.
DeleteExercise your freedoms. People, learn to use your remote and change the channel.
DeleteOne learns to put up with people's foibles when they are.....FUCKING BRILLIANT. Rachel will get a Pulizter one day.
DeleteI watch evvery night, faithfully and yes sometimes it takes her a while to cut to the chase, but she is brilliant and pithy and respectful of her guests.
So, go away with your constant RMS troll shit. Don't watch her if you are too scared of her. I'm sure she uses bigger words than you can process and you totally can't get her humor.
So...why r u here???
DeleteRachel is one of the best out there. She is very thorough, has a great team, and respectfully interviews her guest. She deserves a journalism award for her reporting.
DeleteI like her style.
6:39 PM - skeered!

Rhodes Scholar Rachel Maddow is a flippin' jewel. And very much her own person, which I admire as much as her brilliant commentary. We are beyond fortunate to have her.
DeleteRachel is ok. Gee change your channel. Don't you have like 200 channels to watch?
Delete6:55 PM - with facts to back it up!
DeleteI think Rachel is great and record her program so that I won't miss what she says each day. Appreciate her in depth content and research. Personally, I like repetition.

DeleteRather ironic that someone who is obviously too functionally illiterate to concoct a coherent sentence with proper spelling is casting aspersions towards Maddow who is master of the English language.
Moron.
Maddow sucks dick, except she doesn't.
DeleteNobody is "scared" of a strong woman. Joy Reid and Katy Tur, for example, are consistently terrific. Rachel Maddow pretends to be humble but is really an elitist jerk who expects people to bow down to her because she's a lesbian. Not to mention that she proudly refuses to support President Obama, the greatest president in modern history, by far.
DeleteJust like SP, it seems that The Donald doesn’t read either.
ReplyDelete“In 2000, when Shiflett co-wrote Trump’s book on politics, a newspaper that was writing about the book asked what author had most influenced Trump. Shiflett said he called Trump’s office to find out what he should tell the reporter, and he was told to pick any writer he wanted to. “So I told them he likes Dostoevsky,” Shiflett said. “It was all just good times; the spirit around him was kind of mirthful. Everybody understood that and nobody took any of it very seriously.”

The 20-year-old man that DID vowed to make good use of it helping others. Hey, dotard, you suck.
DeleteAs I pointed out on another post, R. Johnson, MD is in a conundrum, much like Dr. CBJ.
ReplyDeleteBut actually, not as bad as CBJ. If the WH forged is name, since Drumpf is (nm) president, the Dr. is free to clear his name and SHOULD. HIPAA laws are overridable in instances of fraud, or in cases of a national security risk. Drumpf as a crazy man for president, is a national security risk.
Hmmm....what will the good Dr. do?
Thank you for correcting me on HIPAA laws the other night. I do believe you told me to fuck off; all good!
DeleteDo I hold out hope? Hell no, and I'm a positive person. We have been here before.
I don't think I told you to fuck off, I think I wrote "for the gazillionith fucking time" because, ya know, after 9 years of people writing HIPAA HIPAA HIPAA re: Palin and the fake birth, I get frustrated. I did a lot of HIPAA research way back when and firmly believe the national security risk and fraud loopholes were underutilized for Palin and MUST be used for the idiot in charge to be taken out.
DeleteLuckily, this physician will answer questions in person on Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteHe may correct this "excellent" report, which clearly was put out by a press office so incompetent ("Normay") that it can't spell his name and doesn't know the proper way to sign a doctor's name (with credentials after his signature).
He can't be pleased by being "Bornsteined." He's a Naval officer and presumably an honorable one.
Except, madame Huckabee will be standing right next to him, no doubt waving off any real questions, or denying the doctor said anything negative. Can't wait to hear that he weighs 230, since he's obviously gaining weight and was NEVER 230. I am a foot shorter than he is, and I weigh 240. My stomach is not the basketball his is. He's 300 pounds if he's an ounce.
DeleteI cannot believe anymore that anyone who works for Trump is "honorable."

ReplyDeleteAnyone who still supports this cruel man is as sick as he is. Hawaiians thought they would die this afternoon, and he has not spoken a WORD about it. No reassurances to the nation. Nada. Who does he think speaks for the nation, who is supposed to be our leader and hope? Good God, GOP, stop the fawning over his signature and get him out before more people die.
ReplyDeleteWell, remember that President Obama was born in Hawaii and that most residents are not "pure Aryans" like Trump. Besides, it's out there in the ocean - probably not even part of the US, at least in Trump's eyes.

The Dr. is also a military officer. No where in that signature does it reflect that. I think his commanding officer (Trump) had his White House staff write it. Did we really expect some bombshell health report?

ReplyDeletehmmm. Just like that, no one is talking about the physical. I wonder if the alarm in Hawaii was a purchased distraction.
ReplyDeleteOn the religious channel here in Fairbanks, they really talk up ole Donald. They live in a bubble and to them Donald is a real president. Odd. It's like we live in parallel universes.
ReplyDeleteWhile Hawaiians were running to duck and cover, Trump was ON THE GOLF COURSE. He didn’t even bother to tweet anything, even after the false alarm.
ReplyDeleteHe did continue he regular hit parade of Hillary, Fake News, denials and bashing.
Anything on those Montecito mudslides that have already taken 18 lives? Not that I’m aware.
Trump cares about Trump (and his family to a lesser degree), his assets, his enemies and everything else is inconsequential. That is what the American people are to Trump. In consequential.
President Shithole indeed.
Oh, and it didn’t take long. One enterprising artist with a projectd put “This is a Shithole” on Trump’s D.C. hotel along with poop emojis and such.
If he is in excellent health i hate to see what poor health looks like: overweight, lardass, giant spare tire, snorting, teeth fall out, stains means high cholesterol, memory loss.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Donnie wrote the letter, add impersonating a medical professional to his list of crimes.
There is no way this man is in "excellent health." Look at him, he's morbidly obese, he has a very slow gait to the point where people around him have to lessen their own pace, it's obvious he has moments where he seems to forget where he is, the red face, the diet, I mean come on! Plus, How'd they make such a determination on the same day, don't they have to wait back for lab results? And no, don't use as an age as an excuse; just look at the video of him and Buzz Aldrin from last year. Aldrin's 15 years his senior, but look at how much better he's put together.
ReplyDeleteDr. Ronnie's report is too much like the bogus medical report (remember that Trump was the healthiest person ever to seek the presidency?) that got put out during the 2016 campaign. Hillary Clinton produced a genuine 4-page long medical report, with test results, etc. and Trump came up with his doozy of a letter from a doctor (?) who certainly looked like a quack.
ReplyDeleteWhat astounded me in 2016 was that the media lapped up the bogus physician's letter and the same thing will happen again, despite the fact that the tone and language used smack so heavily of Trump's actual and preferred phraseology. He's always the "best" at everything.
And then there's lots of physical evidence pointing to issues: the quickness to red-in-the-face anger, the dozing during meetings, the problems with his hands (water bottle holding), the excess weight and diet problems, the obvious mental confusion (hearing loss perhaps?), the verbal slurring, etc. Perfectly healthy men, even of Trump's age, don't have those issues at least not on such prominent display for all the world to see. This so-called medical report is a phony again.

So, in the first paragraph, a physician could disclose that Drumpf is sufferening from dementia without Drumpf's consent because Drumpf is president and puts the USA at risk.
In the second paragraph, MatSu or CBJ could have stated that Sarah never gave birth as she claimed on 4/18 at MatSu, i.e fraud was committed on the American public. This narrative was used to get her on the ticket for VP and used to persuade voters to vote for her. Also Were records faked? Was insurance fraud committed? Were records covered up?
"Excellent health" -- blood tests not completed, so no mention of cholesterol levels, pre-diabetes?, prostate levels.
ReplyDeleteWeight -- visual evidence, for all the world to see, is that Two Scoops, who was "overweight" 15 months ago, has packed on the pounds since then. Even if he fudges his height -- which, presumably, his Navy doctor would not do -- he's now obese. Morbidly obese.
The doctor would advise exercise, a diet of fruits and vegetables, much less caffeine than he gets in his diet sodas, many fewer diet sodas.
Why does he have that dry mouth? A symptom of other medication he's taking? What medications?
If that physician is allowed to answer even a half-dozen real questions in the press room on Tuesday -- weight, triglyceride, HDL, LDL, blood pressure, vision, hearing, balance, blood sugar -- well, there are so many questions, but even the basics will belie the "excellent" press release.
The reporters will be sure to spell the officer's name correctly. LOL.
