LPGA legend Suzann Pettersen is fond of the sitting U.S. president. But she's not so sure about his handicap.
In an interview with Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang, Pettersen detailed the many sides to her relationship with President Trump, whom she has known on and off the golf course for over a decade.
"He cheats like hell," the 15-time LPGA Tour winner said. "So I don't quite know how he is in business. They say that if you cheat at golf, you cheat at business." Pettersen also said the president must pay his caddies well, as drives that are headed for the woods always ends up back in the fairway. She also mentioned his fondness for gimmes.
You know this is going to really piss Trump off, as it undermines his personal mythology about having a 3 handicap.
But why would we be at all surprised?
The guy cheats at business, cheats on his wife, and cheated in the 2016 election.
So of COURSE he cheats at golf.
Update: Pettersen is now calling this article "fake news."
Well, it certainly appears that somebody got an angry phone call.
Correction, 33 handicap.
ReplyDeleteIf Suzann Pettersen is calling the interview fake news does that mean she never gave the interview in the first place? That should be easy to find out. Shouldn't she be suing Verdens Gang for making false statements in her name?
DeleteOT Did anyone watch Rand Paul on Morning Joe discussing more over sight of the FBI? At the end he stated the FBI had never before been involved in politics. I waited for someone on the panel to say that never before did a political party demand an investigation of emails of a candidate and never before did a candidate, Trump, ask for Russia to help, engage with Russia, hire people who are foreign agents, and more.
ReplyDeleteJust saying, I disagree the FBI suddenly chose to insert themselves to have political influence. There were and has been extraordinary circumstances. Rand Paul did point out that Comey “tore to shreds” Hillary Clinton.

Nothing worst than a ugly liar, cheater, thief and rigger. The guy is a boar loser.
ReplyDeleteDid you mean born liar or boorish liar. Both would be true of T.Rump. and you forgot "short-fingered vulgarian."
DeleteIt is believable that Trump also cheats at golf because he cheats to win at most things has come to light. He lives by I win, you lose, not by improving his self. I feel sad the people were conned and they voted for hatred, a pathological liar, bully, sexually deviant, unscroupulous, ignorant immoral personality disordered man.
ReplyDeleteNice invective stream you had going there until you got to "unscrupulous"; just remember to do spellcheck to make it more effective.

Danny Danon? Any relation to Danon yogurt?
DeleteI think you are correct!@12:57 "Danone was founded by Isaac Carasso, who began producing yogurt in Barcelona, Spain in 1919. The brand was named Danone, which translates to "little Daniel", after his son Daniel Carasso.[3][4]
DeleteIn 1929, Isaac Carasso moved the company from Spain to France, opening a plant in Paris.[5] In 1942, Daniel Carasso moved the company to New York.[6] In the United States, Daniel Carasso partnered with the Swiss-born Spaniard Juan Metzger and changed the brand name to Dannon to sound more American.[7]"
"On 18 June 2010, Danone partnered with Unimilk, one of Russia's main milk producers. Danone and Unimilk merged their fresh dairy products activities in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus. The joint-venture gave birth to the number one dairy products company in this region. Russia became one of the five most important markets for Danone" CRIMEa!/China!

ReplyDelete"Why lie about something that is so easily proven wrong? Good question! I have 3 theories:
1. Trump heard somewhere -- likely "Fox & Friends" -- that his State of the Union was the most-watched in history. So, he tweeted it. The end. Might he have misheard it from Fox (or wherever)? Sure. It's possible that it was the most-watched among a certain segment of the population and Trump just missed that part. Or, wherever he heard it just got it flat wrong.
2. Trump is unaware he is lying. Trump is someone who has spent much of his adult life telling himself a story about his own life in which he is the benevolent hero. I'm not sure that if he took a lie detector test and was asked about some of his prominent lies (inauguration crowd size, Muslims celebrating on New Jersey roofs on 9/11, etc.) he would fail. There is the real possibility he believes the untruths because, well, he needs to.
3. Trump knows he is lying and doesn't care. This follows the same logic as theory #2 except for the fact that Trump is self aware enough to know that he is deceiving people by pushing out untruths -- and he just doesn't care. If it works for him and the point he wants to make -- in this case: I am extremely popular and watchable -- then he says it. Whether it's, you know, true or not, is immaterial.
Regardless of the "why" what we know now is that this President is saying things that aren't true at a remarkably fast pace. According to stats kept by The Washington Post's Fact Checker, Trump said more than 2,000 things that were either totally false or broadly misleading before he had even spent a full year in office."

ReplyDeleteBest Foreign Actress? 1962
"Natalie Wood was born Natalia Zakharenko[1][2] in San Francisco to Russian and Ukrainian immigrant parents Maria Stepanovna (née Zudilova, Russian: Мария Степановна Зудилова; 1912–1996) and Nikolai Stepanovich Zakharenko (Ukrainian: Микола Степанович Захаренко; c. 1912–1980). Nikolai was a son of two Ukrainians from Kharkiv: Stephan Zakharenko and Eudoxia Sauchenko. Nikolai was born in Vladivostok. As a child, he immigrated with his mother and two brothers to Montreal, Quebec. Later they moved to San Francisco. There, he worked as a day laborer and carpenter.[11][12]
Natalia's mother was born in Barnaul, southern Siberia.[13] Her father Stepan worked in a chocolate factory in Russia. He was killed in street fighting between Red and White Russian soldiers in 1918 during the Russian Revolution.[14] After Stepan's death, Maria's mother left the country with her children, resettling as a refugee in the Chinese city of Harbin.[15] Maria married Alexander Tatuloff, in China, and had a daughter, Olga (1927–2015).[16]
Natalie liked to describe her family as having been either gypsies or landowning aristocrats in Russia.[17] In her youth, her mother had dreamed of becoming an actress or ballet dancer. Natalie and her sisters were raised Russian Orthodox Christian and remained in the church.[citation needed] As an adult, she stated, "I'm very Russian, you know."[18] She spoke both English and Russian with an American accent."
