In what should come as a surprise to nobody, Donald Trump cheats at golf. Update!

Courtesy of Golf:

LPGA legend Suzann Pettersen is fond of the sitting U.S. president. But she's not so sure about his handicap.

In an interview with Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang, Pettersen detailed the many sides to her relationship with President Trump, whom she has known on and off the golf course for over a decade.

"He cheats like hell," the 15-time LPGA Tour winner said. "So I don't quite know how he is in business. They say that if you cheat at golf, you cheat at business." Pettersen also said the president must pay his caddies well, as drives that are headed for the woods always ends up back in the fairway. She also mentioned his fondness for gimmes.

You know this is going to really piss Trump off, as it undermines his personal mythology about having a 3 handicap.

But why would we be at all surprised?

The guy cheats at business, cheats on his wife, and cheated in the 2016 election.

So of COURSE he cheats at golf.

Update: Pettersen is now calling this article "fake news."

Well, it certainly appears that somebody got an angry phone call.

The National Enquirer buys former Playboy model's story of her affair with Donald Trump, to keep it secret.

Trump with Karen McDougal.
Courtesy of the Daily Mail:

The National Enquirer's publishing company paid a Playboy model $150,000 for her story about having an affair with Donald Trump - but never ran it, sources have said.

Karen McDougal, the 1998 Playmate of the year, claimed she had a consensual relationship with Trump over several months beginning in 2006, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

But the National Enquirer didn't publish anything about McDougal's allegations, despite paying six figures for the information, according to people familiar with the matter and documents reviewed by the Wall Street Journal.

Trump married Melania, his third wife, in January 2005.

And there goes the last of the journalistic integrity that the Enquirer earned by reporting on the John Edwards affair story.

This is completely indefensible.

Besides its not like most Americans do not already simply ASSUME that Trump cheats on his wife, virtually everything we know about him would lead to that conclusion.

Still seeing the Enquirer do this offers a peek into how Trump "manages" unflattering press and keeps his "useful idiots" from learning the truth about him.

Hillary Clinton's longtime personal assistant Huma Abedin is finally dumping her scumbag husband. Update!

Courtesy of Mother Jones:

In a statement to NBC, Huma Abedin announced she is planning to separate from her husband Anthony Weiner.

Anthony Weiner appears to have deleted his Twitter account amid new allegations that the former New York congressman has been sending lewd messages to an unknown woman over the past 19 months, the New York Post reports. The report is the latest in a series of sexting scandals involving Weiner, including one that brought down his 2013 campaign to become the mayor of New York City.

One of the photos allegedly sent by Weiner, the husband of Hillary Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin, includes their sleeping son.

So to the question of whether or not there are douchebags on the Left to match the douchebags on the Right, I give you exhibit A.
You know in full disclosure there was a time that I really liked Anthony Weiner but damn is he a POS!

And I really feel sorry for Huma.

Not only is the poor woman now under constant attack from the Right Wing, but she also has to put up with this shit.

And I shudder to imagine how the Right Wing and Donald Trump will use this to attack Hillary Clinton. Because you know they will.

Update: Well that didn't take long.

Courtesy of the New York Times

But Ms. Abedin’s separation quickly became political fodder for Donald J. Trump, Mrs. Clinton’s Republican opponent.

“Huma is making a very wise decision. I know Anthony Weiner well, and she will be far better off without him,” Mr. Trump said in a statement.

“I only worry for the country in that Hillary Clinton was careless and negligent in allowing Weiner to have such close proximity to highly classified information,” he continued. “Who knows what he learned and who he told? It’s just another example of Hillary Clinton’s bad judgment. It is possible that our country and its security have been greatly compromised by this.”

And I imagine that is only the beginning.

Samuel L. Jackson talks about golfing with Trump, the fact that he cheats, and the time he hooked him up with Bill Clinton.

Courtesy of TV Guide:

Samuel L. Jackson appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers Tuesday night to address a recent insulting Donald Trump tweet.

"I don't know @SamuelLJackson, to best of my knowledge haven't played golf w/him & think he does too many TV commercials - boring. Not a fan," the Presidential candidate tweeted Tuesday, in response to accusations from Jackson that he a.) cheats at golf and b.) signed Jackson up for a paying membership at one of his country clubs without permission.

Seth Meyers informed Jackson of the tweet, and the bemused Hateful Eight star doubled down on his claim that he has in fact met Trump on numerous occasions, including playing golf with him, and said that he has someone who can back him up: former President Bill Clinton.

Well Jackson just gift wrapped an attack against Trump and handed it to the Hillary campaign. Now all Bill has to do is talk about all of the times that Trump invited him to go golfing, and all of the gifts he was given, and oh and by the way, he's lying about not knowing Samuel L. Jackson.

I find it a little ironic that the things that seem the most damaging to Trump's candidacy are being reported on TV guide.

Finally the voter registration fraud the Republicans have been warning us about is discovered to exist. Wait, which party was caught red handed? Update!

Courtesy of Salon:

A man originally reported to have been working for the Republican Party of Virginia was arrested by the Rockingham County, Va., Sheriff’s Office on Thursday and charged with attempting to destroy voter registration forms by tossing them into a dumpster behind a shopping center in Harrisonburg, Va.

“Prosecutors charged him with four counts of destruction of voter registration applications, eight counts of failing to disclose voter registration applications and one count of obstruction of justice,” according to a report late Thursday afternoon from TPM’s Ryan Reilly. More charges could be forthcoming, according to officials.

But there is more to the story, as evidence emerges to document that it ties into a still-expanding nationwide GOP Voter Registration Fraud Scandal that the BRAD BLOG first began reporting in late September, after we’d learned that the Republican Party of Florida had turned in more than 100 allegedly fraudulent and otherwise suspect voter registration forms in Palm Beach County. The story has continued to widen ever since, to a dozen Florida counties and several other states, now including Virginia, and even to the upper-echelons of the Republican Party itself.

The man arrested today was 23-year-old Colin Small of Phoenixville, Pa. As it turns out, he does not only work for the Virginia Republican Party. According to an online profile, he appears to be working for the Republican National Committee and, prior to that, served as an Intern for Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Joseph Tanfani at the Los Angeles Times is reporting that Small was “working as a supervisor as part of a registration operation in eight swing states financed by the Republican National Committee.”

That the Republican party is  responsible for the very acts that they accuse of others of doing, should not come as a surprise to ANY of us. Especially since the party has engaged in aggressive acts of voter fraud or voter suppression for over twelve years now. And in many places far longer.

In Alaska this is simply the status quo, and we have been the victim of tossed ballots, suddenly appearing absentee ballots, and voter machine vote switching for decades now. With no change in sight.

In my experience it has always been that while the Republican party is pointing to the left and saying "Look, those people are cheating!", over on the right they have been cheating all along.

I think that we are way overdue for both campaign finance reform and tougher fair election laws to be passed in this country.  But I am not holding my breath because it is clear to me that the Republicans simply do NOT want to compete on a level playing field.

Let's face it, without their mountains of money, and ability to game the system, they would have to actually run on their antiquated policies. And how can they possibly win in any place but the deep South with those?

P.S. By the way while we are on the subject of corrupt voting machines, guess whose son (Yes the same son who wants to "take a swing" at our President.) owns the ones Ohio is using?

Update: Here is a petition requesting that Eric holder to investigate Tagg's connection to the voting machines. I signed it and I think so should we all.

Voting machines being used in swing states owned by Bain Capital controlled company.

Here is more from the Daily Dolt:

Hart InterCivic is a national provider of election voting systems that are used in swing-states Ohio and Colorado, as well as in states we don’t really care about so much because we already know how they’ll turn out (e.g., Texas, Oklahoma, and Hawaii). Private equity firm H.I.G. Capital, LLC bought out a “significant” portion of Hart in July of 2011, and now the majority of Hart’s board directors are employees of H.I.G. (It’s not entirely clear how much of the voting machine company H.I.G. owns, but the financial advisors responsible for the transaction state that “Hart Intercivic was acquired by HIG Capital.”)

H.I.G., in turn, has ties to Bain & Co. and Mitt Romney directly:

H.I.G. was founded by Tony Tamer, a former Bain employee and bundler for Mitt Romney’s campaign.

Of H.I.G.’s 22 American directors, 21 donated to Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign. One person made no political donations at all; one person donated to both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama; the remaining 20 directors donated exclusively to Mitt Romney in 2012. (See below for links to donations.)

Of these 22 American directors, seven of them (nearly one-third) are former Bain employees. Now, we should note (as a reader helpfully pointed out), this is Bain & Co., which Mitt Romney left in order to start the affiliated Bain Capital. The connection is therefore a little more tenuous, but we still find H.I.G.’s overwhelming allegiance and financial support of the Romney campaign surprising (not that it’s surprising that a private equity company would lean Republican, but this level of support is pretty unusual).

Four of H.I.G.’s directors, Tony Tamer, John Bolduc, Douglas Berman, and Brian D. Schwartz, are Romney bundlers along with former Bain and H.I.G. manager Brian Shortsleeve.

Two of H.I.G.’s managing directors, Douglas F. Berman and Brian D. Schwartz, were present at the $50,000 per plate fundraiser where Mitt Romney made his notorious ”47%” comments.

H.I.G. employees currently make up the majority of the Hart InterCivic’s five-member board of directors. Two of these three directors of the voting machine company, Neil Tuch and Jeff Bohl, have donated directly to Mitt Romney’s campaign.

H.I.G. is the 11th largest donor to Mitt Romney’s campaign. H.I.G. employees have given $338,000 to the Romney campaign, outpacing even Bain Capital itself, which gave $268,000.

Republicans of course will call us paranoid and conspiracy theorists for being troubled by this, but we have already seen that the Republican party and Mitt Romney will do ANYTHING to win, so why would we NOT consider this a serious problem?

After all we do remember what happened in the 2004 election, don't we?

Let's face it folks our very democracy has been under attack for the last twelve years and if we are not extremely vigilant the Republicans will essentially make voting in this country an exercise in futility for ALL Americans. And we are already almost there.

The ONLY thing that beats this kind of cheating is a HUGE voter turnout for the Democrats.  So whatever else you do to help, make damn sure you VOTE!

Yes it DOES appear that Mitt Romney might have cheated by bringing crib notes to the podium during the debate. Update!

"No props, notes, charts, diagrams or other writings can be used by the candidates; however, they can take notes on the type of paper of their choosing. The candidates cannot ask each other direct questions, but can ask rhetorical questions. The candidates cannot address each other with proposed pledges. Each candidate can use his own makeup artist. No candidate is allowed to use risers or any other device to make them look taller. The Coin Toss: At least 72 hours before the first debate, there will be a coin toss on the order of questioning and closing arguments."

Some have suggested that Romney simply brought a handkerchief to mop his brow.  But this photograph clearly shows a folded piece of paper with writing on it.

Courtesy of Democratic Underground.
And if you watch the video carefully you can tell that Romney identifies the camera that is behind the podium and positions his body to hide what his hand is doing. At least that is what it looked like to me.

If this is proven it will COMPLETELY discredit Romney's campaign. He will essentially be finished as a viable candidate.

Your thoughts?

Update: Okay I am still a little hazy on whether we have absolute proof of cheating here, but check out the video that the Daily Beast put together and see if THAT changes anybody's mind.

Sarah Palin goes from a fake Minnesota accent to using British slang. Can you say "dumbarses?"

Apparently Palin was on the Sean "Got the short straw again" Hannity, angrily defending her new open marriage buddy Newt Gingrich from his second wife's explosive interview tonight on ABC. (Gee don't women whose husbands have cheated on them usually stick together?)

Here is the transcript courtesy of Think Progress:

PALIN: I call them dumbarses. They, thinking that by trotting out this old Gingrich divorce interview that’s old news — and it does feature a disgruntled ex, claiming that it would destroy his campaign — all it does, Sean, is incentive conservatives and independents who are so sick of the politics of personal destruction, because it’s played so selectively by media, that their target, in this case Newt, he’s now going to soar even more. Because we know the game now, and we just won’t put up with it.

So, good call media! Way to go to covertly hype this, even Gingrich opponents, for being so brilliant they sure are dumb.

And here you can hear it for yourself on You Tube:

Okay first off, what the hell is a "dumbarse?" (Okay well I looked it up and it is British slang, for "dumbass,"

Obviously this is just her chickenshit way of saying "dumbass, " and trying play the demure Christian gal card by using a more television friendly replacement instead. Though from her it just sounds idiotic.

You know Sarah I happen to know that you can curse with the best of them, and have heard many examples from your vast vocabulary, so don't think anybody is fooled here.

And as for this helping Gingrich "soar," I don't believe there is an updraft in the world that could lift Newt's flabby carcass off the ground, even with a running start and a pound of pixie dust shoved up his ass.

And I also believe that there is really only so much that REAL Christians can stand, and a man who cheated on two wives, and then tried to start some kind of home based swingers club, is pushing the envelope a little too far for most family values voters to bear.

Of course Palin does not get that because she, like Gingrich, is a complete phony all the way from her road kill fright wig, to her completely unnecessary glasses, right down to her water filled fun bags.

By the way,  I would just like to point out to any family values voters who accidentally find themselves here that our President, or as YOU refer to him, Barack Hussein Obama, is happily married to his FIRST wife, and attended his church in Chicago religiously for TWENTY YEARS!

I just thought you should keep that in mind.

Fox News hires disgraced, Appalachian hiking ex-Governor Mark Sanford . Scrape, goes the bottom of the Fox News pundit barrel!

"Oh God I have to work with Sean Hannity! I guess cheaters never DO win."
Courtesy of the Sun Times:

Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is joining Fox News as a political commentator through the 2012 presidential elections, a Fox Channel spokeswoman confirmed Saturday.

The network spokeswoman told The Associated Press the two-term Republican governor has been hired as a contributor, though she declined to give any details on his pay or when he would start.

Sanford was a rising political star before he vanished from the state for five days in 2009, and reporters were told he was hiking the Appalachian Trail. When he reappeared, the father of four admitted to being in Argentina with a woman he later called his soul mate.

The international affair destroyed his marriage, which ended in divorce, and derailed his once-promising political career, which had included talk of presidential aspirations.

I believe this is just more proof that Fox is about to dump Palin.  After all who better to replace a disgraced ex-Governor, than with another disgraced ex-Governor?

My understanding is that Sanford will host a travelogue series, featuring exotic locations that he traveled to in order to cheat on his wife.

Episode one will feature a visit to the Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, nude snorkeling off the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and because this is aimed at Republicans, a men's room in the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, with a strategically placed hole about waist high.

Of course I imagine they only settled for Sanford because their first choice, David Vitter, is inconveniently STILL able to serve as the senator of Louisiana.

Darn the luck!
