The man who guessed the password on Sarah Palin's personal email account and posted details online when she was a nominee for vice president in 2008, died last week in California.
David Kernell, 30, died of complications related to progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) late Friday or early Saturday, according to a statement his family released on Thursday.
His family shared that Kernell had been diagnosed with MS in 2014 and began participating in clinical research trials at the Cedars-Sinai Neurosciences Research Center in Los Angeles. He hoped to help develop cures and treatments for other victims of MS, the page-long statement detailed.
Despite what the Palins would have had you believe, Kernell was actually a very kind and giving individual.
'David did not let this incident define him,' the family said, according to Commercial Appeal.
'He returned to UT Knoxville to complete his economics degree and further refined his programming skills by helping his local community.
'He first volunteered his expertise to Tennessee Voices for Children, a child advocacy non-profit group. Later, he moved to California and worked to develop facial recognition software that could identify children at risk of abuse.'
So he actually did something positive with his life, and DIDN'T just try to sell crappy diet products on the internet?
I think everybody here knows the story of the then 20 year old easily guessing Palin's password and then anonymously bragging about it on the internet, which then led to Palin calling it "worse than Watergate" and taking Bristol to Tennessee to lie to the courts about being terrified even though at the time the Secret Service were patrolling their property in Wasilla.
This led to Kernell receiving a felony charge and spending 10 months of his short life behind bars, all for a college prank.
She tried to destroy this young man's life, as she has tried to destroy so many others before and after him.
And now he's dead.

There is just the fact that Tundra Turd had tried to destroy a young person's life for guessing her password on an illegally-for-government business-used email account, actually sent him to prison for almost a year, and now that same young man, who did so many good things once he got out of prison, is dead. If he hadn't had to spend a whole ten months in prison, who knows just what else he would have/could have done during with his life that time. Maybe he even would not have gotten MS (they still don't know 'how' one 'catches' MS...)

I think it is important to speak out about abusers like the Palins. It is clear David Kernell is a polar opposite of the Palins. He made a mistake when younger but it could have been handled different. He was not likely to be a repeat offender.
One of the witnesses against him committed perjury on the stand and the case should have been thrown out and Bristol Palin charged with perjury.
That is not what happened and Kernell and his family handled their part from a higher ground.
It was the Palins that had to lie in order to win. Sick.
Today Sarah's oldest and troubled son is to be in court for a pre-trial hearing. He is most likely to call it in, if they can't get it called off. This is another time when the Palins will be manipulating the system.
This time it is not to seek revenge and damage another. As is more common it is to make sure Track Palin will not have to take any responsibility when he violates laws.
There is no need to 'attempt to trash the Palins'. They are trash.

Enough about that old wretch. Seriously, this young man was an outstanding inspiration. Look at all he accomplished with his life, in the midst of his suffering, and all for the sake of the less fortunate! And yes, I do feel like a hypocrite for ranting just now about Palin when I could be following David's example and doing something beautiful for my community. So thank you David, for that lesson. Still, the injustice of it all just breaks my heart. All the work he did, all of the lives that he touched are better off because of him, and all the money in the world can't top that.

As the Kernell family said, the 2008 incident does not define David. He went on to do good for his family and community. I would ask the public to let David’s good memory supersede anything else. Kernell wasn't convicted of felony hacking into her account or posting her private information. That was a misdemeanor. If that was all he did he wouldn't have served a day. Any of us would have felt violated if someone did that to our online accounts.
ReplyDeleteThe felony he was convicted of was destroying evidence to impede a federal investigation when he tried to wipe his hard drive. Palin had nothing to do with that - that was something he did all on his own. He did it because he knew he had f'd up and tried to hide it.
To his credit, Kernell apologized to the Palins and said that he was going to feel ashamed for the rest of his life for what he did. It is sad that the "rest of his life" was so short. Condolences to the Kernell family.

Bristol went so far as to lie in a Federal Court to help their case against the more harmless offender. She could only do it by making up lies and swearing under oath to a judge that it was reality.
The other offender is a timebomb and a danger to others. Before he was beating his father and taking a gun from him in his most recent case, Track Palin had attacked 2 different women and 2 different children that we know of. Their lives are in danger. They only have a respite when Track is in jail. Track makes threats and has "friends" that would do things for Track while he is in jail. So no one is ever actually safe.
The Palins show a completely different attitude and treatment of the violent offender. They will lie for him but it is to coddle him and get him out of the legal entanglements of his crimes.
The Palins had money to bribe when this young man went to jail. I wonder if they will have enough money to get Track off the hook?

But when it comes to her daughters-in-law? She knew her son was violent and she did nothing to protect them. When he broke into her own home and attacked his father, it finally dawned on her that if Todd could get beat up, then she could get beat up or killed as well.

The entire Palin family have learned a lot of weird behaviors from Grandpa Heath such as him telling Sarah to sleep nude because it was "healthier". I'm pretty sure Bristol learned some fucked up shit at the knee of Grandpa as well, and this is the result.
