Donald Trump's attorney is continuing to use intimidation to silence adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Courtesy of NBC News:

President Donald Trump's lawyer is trying to silence adult-film star Stormy Daniels, obtaining a secret restraining order in a private arbitration proceeding and warning that she will face penalties if she publicly discusses a relationship with the president, NBC News has learned.

The new pressure on Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, comes a day after she filed a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court alleging that a nondisclosure agreement she made to keep quiet about an "intimate" relationship with Trump is invalid because he never signed it.

Tuesday's lawsuit says that Trump attorney Michael Cohen — who brokered the agreement with Clifford during the presidential campaign — attempted to "intimidate" Clifford and "shut her up" by initiating what it calls a "bogus arbitration proceeding" against her in Los Angeles on Feb. 27.

On that day, Cohen obtained a temporary restraining order against Clifford from the private arbitrator, a retired judge, which bars her from disclosing "confidential information" related to the nondisclosure agreement signed in October 2016, according to a copy of the order obtained by NBC News.

Okay so here's a silly question.

If Donald Trump never had a sexual relationship with this woman, as the White House has stated repeatedly, what is the need to keep this woman from telling her, apparently false, story?

And, once again a silly question, why would anybody pay $130,000 to prevent her from telling it in the first place?

By the way as it turns out Sarah Huckabee Sanders was not supposed to spill the beans about that arbitration yesterday.

President Donald Trump is reportedly somewhat less than thrilled with his press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, for her comments during Wednesday’s briefing addressing the Stormy Daniels story.

According to CNN’s Abby Phillip (citing reporting from Jim Acosta), Trump believes that Sanders essentially breathed life into the Stormy Daniels controversy with her Wednesday remarks.

“According to this source, Sarah Sanders’ comments were essentially putting the Stormy Daniels storyline on steroids yesterday,” Phillip said.

Oops, Rachel Maddow better make more room on her wall, because it looks like another White House staff may get tossed to the curb.

Damn, this Stormy Daniels story is getting more interesting by the day.

FB>"Imagine a Hollywood producer trying to pitch a film about the Trump Administration to a studio executive:
It's sort of like Tom Clancy meets Days of Our Lives meets the Marx Brothers. We will have secret meetings between shadowy business associates and Russian agents in the Seychelles (I can show you on the map or we can just call it a "tropical island"). There's great roles for men and women who want to try out their Slavic accents. It's like we're back in the '80s and the Cold War. Great for drama, remember?
But don't worry. It's not a "foreign film." The drama will also be on the American side. We will have payoffs to porn stars and an alleged pedophile running for Senate. There's these outside lobbyists throwing around millions of dollars to subvert the will of the American people. We will have meltdowns and takedowns. There will be all sorts of corrupt government agents promoting gratuitous self-interests and blowing taxpayer dollars on such things as fancy dining room tables and first class plane tickets. Oh the sheer hypocrisy.
It will definitely be a big cast with lots of roles for character actors. You won't have to remember too many of them because they will come and go quickly, but I promise you one will have the nickname "Mooch."
At the center of it all is the role of a lifetime. We need an actor with chops, who's up to the job. He will have to be paranoid and profane, insecure and insincere. You could call the part Shakespearean (not that the character being portrayed would know what that means). And oh, the family around him. Great roles galore.
And like all great films, there will be conflict to spare. At the heart of it all is a showdown that builds in tension between a president and prosecutor. Yeah, I know it seems far-fetched but the entire fate of the nation will hang in the balance. And these guys couldn't be more different. This prosecutor role is certainly Oscar material. I think you could have two nominees up for Best Actor.
How does it all end, you may ask? That's the one thing. I don't think I've figured it out yet. I mean there are more twists and turns than a carnival ride designed to induce vomiting. But one thing is for certain: the ending will be big. Big. Big.
Ok. I hear what you are saying. Nobody would believe a plotline like the one I've laid out for you. I know. I know. It is not in the least bit realistic. But isn't that the magic of the silver screen, to transport audiences to an alternate universe?" <Dan the man Rather

Donald Trump is one of the most disgusting human beings that have ever walked the planet. The idea of him being within a yard of me makes me puke, but to engage in sexual acts...UGH to the nth degree. What the fuck is wrong with these women????

Trump is trying to distract from the campaign finance crimes that are part and parcel of this "agreement". He's damned if he does and he's damned if he doesn't.

how about stormy just outright spills the beans, and then sets up a go fund me page to raise the money to pay the million dollar penalty specified in the agreement.

she should get away clean and maybe even turn a profit.

How can he sue her for breach of contract when he never signed the contract.

It he does sue, then he acknowledges there was an affair and made her sign the non disclosure agreement.

little donnie should learn a lesson from this, don't be so cheap, pay more money next time:)

my guess is Donald wants his lawyer to stall and try to buy her silence again - after all, that's what the RNC funds are for.

  12. Poor Trump. After all his sleepless nights about Mueller it's a woman that is going to take him down. How poetic.

Trump should have stuck to his amateurs. Stormy Daniels is a professional. She is not like his models and pageant winners and immigrants.

I'll bet she's known that NDA was invalid from day one and has had this planned all along. She was just waiting for the most opportune time.

Trump's stupid lawyer isn't going to see his $130,000 back either. Not from Daniels and not from Trump.

I want Daniels on Late Night with Stephen Colbert as soon as the muzzle is officially off.

There is a rumor out there that part of the disclosure includes a phrase about parental disclosure. What ever that means.

FYI: MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell managed to pick this passage out of Daniels’ court filings, which he presented on-air on Wednesday evening: “sexual partners, alleged sexual actions or alleged sexual conduct, related matters, or paternity information.” Unless Trump’s attorneys were so incredibly sloppy that they merely copy-pasted boilerplate language into the nondisclosure agreement that had nothing to do with the affair, this implies that Trump got Daniels pregnant.

    1. Could be standard. Doesn’t necessarily she got pregnant. Although if she did, that means that $130,000 partially paid for an abortion. Will the Evangelicals give Trump another Mulligan on that one? It could also. Be he disclosed information about his own children. Perhaps he discussed Baron with her and doesn’t want her disclosing what he told her.
