House Intelligence Committee ends it's "investigation" and, surprise surprise, finds no evidence of collusion. Update!

Courtesy of NBC News:

House Republicans investigating foreign interference in the 2016 election say they have found no evidence that Russians colluded with any members of the Trump campaign and dispute a key finding from the intelligence community that Russia had developed a preference for the Republican nominee during the election. (Holy shit that's a lot of stupid.)

Those are the initial conclusions of a 150-page report from GOP members of the House Intelligence Committee, who are formally bringing the panel’s year-long investigation to an end over the fierce objection of Democrats.

Lawmakers had been telegraphing that last week’s committee interview with former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski was likely to be the last of dozens conducted since the committee launched its Russia probe last March.

Yeah you could see this result coming from a mile away.

The Republicans would not be able to see collusion in this case if collusion if it his them right in the face.

This report was apparently written without any input from the Democrats on the committee, and in fact they did not know it had already been written.

In fact there are still witnesses that the Democrats wanted to call.

Once again the Republicans in Congress prove that they can see no wrong doing unless it concerns a Democrat, and they invent it all by themselves.

And Fox New is already using this to undermine all of the investigations.
Nice try assholes.

Update: Well you knew this was coming.
And typed in all CAPS which reminds us that first and foremost Donald Trump is an online troll.

Mueller getting too close and irrefutable evidence piling up, sending the White House into a panic?

Republicans in Congress worried that there won't BE a Republican party left by November?

Idiots can't save Donald Trump. The more they try the worse for GOP. History will not be kind to Nunez. The more they document their pathetic attempts, the better for more peeps to see what they are. When they are sitting in prison, they will have plenty of time to write their books of lies.

  3. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, which leads me to believe wingnuts didn't make much effort to find collusion.

When Russians contact Drumpfuck JR with reams of dirt on HRC and set up a meeting, that is collusion. It wasn't only a few people in Drumpf's campaign having accidental meetings with Russian agents. It was every single one and sometimes multiple meetings. That is collusion.

I noticed about these Republican people that they think if you say it then it is true. Wow. If it were that easy all of us would be having the best of life.
Hitler said that the Germans were superior an then proceeded to prove it by having those barbaric assholes kill Jewish people.
Just because you say it, doesn't mean it true.
Now, that the Republicans think it's over we shall see how everyone else thinks and whether it's over.
Remember this is the same bunch that held Monica Lewinsky's dress in the spotlight to catch light of Bill Clinton's sperm spots. Remember this is the exact same party that won't let go of shit they accused Hillary Clinton of.

House GOP Cuts All Ties With Reality By Ending Russia Probe And Declaring Trump Innocent

The House GOP probe was a sham from the beginning, but Monday removed all doubt: The Republican Party is completely detached from reality.

  18. Anonymous7:09 PM

Devin Nunes and the House Intelligence Committee take their desperate final Trump-Russia swing

Palmer Report has been warning you since the middle of last year that this was coming eventually: the Trump-controlled House Intelligence Committee has released a report today which makes the laugh-out-loud conclusion that there was “no collusion” between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia during the election. So what does this mean? What will come of this? And where does Trump-Russia go from here?

As we’ve explained all along, the House Intel Committee was always going to strategically release this report this with this conclusion in the end, in spite of the facts. In fact, we’ve pointed out that House Intel was racing through interviews with Trump-Russia witnesses as quickly as it could, so that it could publish its fraudulent findings before any of the legitimate congressional investigations (Senate Intel, Senate Judiciary, etc) could get their fact-based reports out the door. There are three important things to understand about today’s House Intel report.

The first is that this report carries no legal weight whatsoever. It won’t interfere with any of the legal maneuvering that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is carrying out. No Trump-Russia suspect will be able to point to this House Intel report in a court of law, and say “See, I was exonerated!” This is merely an attempt at confusing the general public about what really happened, in an attempt at turning the tide of public opinion in Trump’s favor.

The second thing to understand here is that this is a desperation ploy, and that desperation ploys rarely work. It doesn’t matter how Fox News covers this House Intel Committee report; those viewers are already on Donald Trump’s side. It matters more how the legitimate news outlets cover it, but the reality is that this report is unlikely to change a single mind among the public. The third thing to understand here is that this was Trump’s last, best swing at trying to sabotage the Trump-Russia investigation. If this report flops, or largely flops, it’ll mean Trump is out of ammo.

  19. I think he’s getting away with it all

    1. Anonymous7:46 PM

Patience. It's difficult but patience. Mueller hasn't weighed in.

  20. Anonymous7:10 PM

I think it's quite a coincidence that this report comes out right after Putin has been more vocal than ever that he didn't interfere with the election. It's almost like someone gave the house republicans orders to do this now.

  21. Anonymous7:11 PM

That's good that they closed their sham of an investigation, where Devin Nunes was running interference on DonTheCon's behalf.. at least now we won't have to worry about intelligence being mishandled and violate. They can scream and moan all the way to high noon that there was no collusion, Trump is innocent, meanwhile rational and just people know that DonTheCon is as guilty as sin, and the only investigation that matters to this day is Robert Mueller's.

However, noticing how the GOP has run interference on gun control, and kowtowed to the NRA, and everything else their controlling leaderships have failed to do to be the 'check and balance' on the executive branch, if Mueller's report comes out clear as day that DonTheCon is indeed a Russian plant in our government, we can all be certain that they won't do anything and make silly, and retarded excuses as they do to everything else.

They must be removed from office, starting tomorrow, and on to the mid-term elections. It's the only way to work towards restoration of American greatness.

    Dakota's Instagram page is interesting.

Sunday, March 11, he posted a photo of himself and the two girls in what looks like a restaurant in a warm climate (shorts, short-sleeved shirts).

    Here's more of Jena:

Didn't he say he went to church?

Bristol has a picture of herself with sisters and dogs. It doesn't say when it was taken. It is all she has. Her old myth of her Alaskan life, posing and selling Teami and posing her kids. She does not do things like cook and she has nannies and maids. Her stay home life is a big fat nothingburger. Dakota is one lucky man to be moving on.

    2. Anonymous6:15 AM

When he first posted the picture of himself and the girls, he originally wrote, #singledadlife. Unfortunately,a few people chastised him for that, telling him he needed to make his marriage work and that he shouldn't be proud of that particular hashtag. Within a few hours he changed it to just #dadlife. How sad that he let himself be pushed around by either Bristol's paid fans or clueless religious fanatics. I'm not a fan of Dakota either, but he has every right to be a proud single dad. Maybe he'll get pushed to the point of telling mama pig's dwindling fan base what it was really like being married to Barstool Palin.

This tells you everything you need to know about the sham report from the House Intel Committee.

Rep Rooney (R-FL) was on the committee

Rooney argued that the investigation needed to end because the committee was losing its credibility.

"We've gone completely off the rails and now we are just basically a political forum for people to leak information to drive the day's news," Rooney said. "We've lost all credibility and we are going to issue probably two different reports, unfortunately."

BREAKING: It turns out that Donald Trump was conspiring with an *active* FBI informant while he was secretly leveraging his presidential run in 2015 and 2016 to get a business deal with Russian nationals.

Do I need to point out how *hard* that's going to come back to bite him?

BREAKING: Readers of this feed know I wrote about this last fall—how the men at the 3/31/16 meeting lied about what happened, and how Trump and Papadopoulos had previously undisclosed contacts—but now a book says so, so it can be accepted as breaking news.

6/ This thread from two months ago discusses how every trip taken by George Papadopoulos was, according to both him and his wife-to-be, authorized by the Trump campaign, *including* trips he took to try to make contact with Russians (e.g., to Greece).

5/ Here's my thread, from five months ago, on the aspect of tonight's "breaking news" that involves the men at the TIHDC meeting lying about how Trump reacted to Papadopoulos' revelation he was authorized by the Kremlin to set up a Putin-Trump summit:

Swalwell responds: "The Republicans' decision to shut down the House Intelligence Committee's Russia investigation sends a bright green light to Russia to continue its interference at America's ballot boxes."

Panicked GOP releases ‘intel report’ contradicting U.S. intelligence

The end of the GOP-led investigation notably coincides with the start of primary elections. And it has the appearance of a partisan maneuver aimed at shielding Trump from special counsel Robert Mueller’s very credible — and very active — investigation.

...According to CNN, Republicans have concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin was not trying to help Trump win the election when he ordered an intelligence operation aimed at influencing the presidential election.

But this is precisely the opposite conclusion reached by the U.S. intelligence community in a high confidence assessment released in January 2017. In their new release, Republicans referred to that assessment as a “narrative” with which they disagreed.

  39. Anonymous9:07 PM

So, I guess, since they came officially to that conclusion, the wall between the GOPers and the Dems will not be built?

I wonder if the Dems will EVER grow a spine and will release their OWN findings.

"A GOP member of the House Intelligence Committee is breaking ranks with his fellow Republicans over a contentious report released Monday on Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible ties to the campaign of Donald Trump.

Rep. Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) told CNN that “there is evidence” the Russians worked to help Trump.

“I don’t know that necessarily there was a full-fledged campaign to do everything that they could to help elect Donald Trump,” he added. “I think that their goal was chaos.”"

"“We’ve gone completely off the rails, and now we’re just basically a political forum for people to leak information to drive the day’s news,” Rooney said. “We’ve lost all credibility, and we’re going to issue probably two different reports, unfortunately.”"
