Let's end our day with SNL's brilliant cold open from last night.

That...that was great!

"I got a whole hard drive that's just labeled 'Yikes!'"

Just seeing Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro back together was worth the price of admission.

    Ben STILLER.

Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara's little boy.

    And it was awesome.

I so hope they bring Robert De Niro back as many times as he's willing to reprise his Robert Mueller.

Jerry Stiller makes a great Cohen too. Hope he's willing to do a few more guest spots for just the right bit as well.

Can you see De Niro and Baldwin together when it comes to the Trump "testimony" or statement or whatever it is?

SNL on it's way to some more Emmys this coming year.

After Trump Blitzes Syria, Comey Book Tour Will Blitz The Media

Comey and his book will undoubtedly dominate political conversations for the next two weeks at least.

The Comey-Trump feud got a head start late last week when explosive book excerpts first appeared. And tonight things may get taken to the next level. Comey is scheduled to appear on a special Sunday night showing of the popular ABC television show “20/20.” He will be sitting down to talk about the book with veteran news anchor George Stephanopoulos.

Other stops for Comey on his media blitz include these very high profile engagements:

Interview with Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier,
    Interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper,
    Interview with PBS’s Judy Woodruff,
Town hall on CNN hosted by Anderson Cooper (at Comey’s alma mater of William and Mary),
    Appearance on ABC’s “The View,”
Appearance on CBS’s “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” and
Appearance on MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show.”
“It’s going to be the media equivalent of the carpet bombing of Tokyo,” said media reporter Jon Levine.”It has the potential to eclipse everything we saw from Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury”. Provoking Trump into additional responses on Twitter and elsewhere is now part of the equation”

      7:19 Here you go...
"A series of scandals and ethics investigations that continued after Palin left office have also shaped Alaskans' view of her. None has resulted in any smoking guns, but cumulatively, the persistence of multiple minor allegations has sullied her legacy here.

Said former Gov. Wally Hickel, who had been cochairman of her 2006 gubernatorial campaign: "When Governor Sarah Palin was elected in 2006, we believed she would put Alaska first. But once elected, she put Sarah first," he said in a statement released in 2009."
"formal ethics investigations launched by citizens themselves. They include complaints about Palin receiving state per-diem payments for nights spent in her own home in Wasilla, using state money to pay for travel for her children for seemingly frivolous trips, using her position as governor to promote her husband’s snowmobile-racing sponsor, and using state employees and resources to help promote her vice presidential campaign.

She faced about 20 formal ethics complaints. On most, she was cleared by the Personnel Board, though she did have to reimburse the state about $8,000 for her children’s travel and pay back taxes on the per-diem money she collected.

Palin has said the ethics complaints presented her with crushing personal legal bills."

This New York Times Editorial doesn't hold back.

The President Is Not Above The Law

...Republicans used to warn the nation about Mr. Trump openly, back when they thought they could still protect their party from him. Here’s a short sampling: “malignant clown,” “national disgrace,” “complete idiot,” “a sociopath, without a conscience or feelings of guilt, shame or remorse,” “graceless and divisive,” “predatory and reprehensible,” flawed “beyond mere moral shortcomings,” “unsound, uninformed, unhinged and unfit,” “a character and temperament unfit for the leader of the free world,” “A bigot. A misogynist. A fraud. A bully.” Some still say these sorts of things, albeit anonymously. Just last week, one of the president’s defenders in Congress told a conservative columnist, “It’s like Forrest Gump won the presidency, but an evil, really [expletive] stupid Forrest Gump.”

Trump will go to jail on interstate money laundering which along with the instant asset forfeiture that would bankrupt Trump within weeks and Schneiderman and Mueller don't care how long trial lasts. No bank card til trial over. That's Eric Schneidermans end game. Trump is terrified of Schneiderman. He got the conviction of money laundering against Trump for Trump U. 60 counts of money laundering against Trump, but bc it wasn't interstate. Trump flaunted that he'd never lose. He did last Friday. He paid the 25 million or his supporters for the RNC re-election fund did. Schneiderman and Mueller nailed Manafort for money laundering in VA first. They will not indict until it's interstste. I think Muellers end game is proving THE NRA has been laundering for the Russians, the Kochs and the MERCERS among others. This is why GOP is so scared. This is why Cambridge Analytics is key. This is why the Mercers are in hiding. If Mueller can find the necessary predicates of RICO. He will seize the assets the NRA and possibly the Kochs and Mercersand anyone else who are complicit. The GOP's major concern and silence is the gear of illegal campaign contributions through that the Treasury dept will confiscate from all recipients whether they knew or not and a bunch of them did. He could destroy the elites by asset freezes. The weird thing is Paul Ryan suddenly resigning. He might have received money but his was from the 1%. I think he's Russia-free and his departure is to save his reputation and possibly be the only one left standing a year from now. I think his resignation has future implications and was co-ordinated by someone.

The only pressure on Donald Trump is from his own criminal actions. He assumed office with a healthy economy, and with both the House and Senate controlled by his own Party. He's too self-concerned to realize that Barack Obama was challenged by a House and Senate openly devoted to ruining him, a Depression caused by the previous President, and the daily assualt by Trump himself howling that Obama wasn't an American, with the barrage of hate and propaganda pushed by Fox. And Barack Obama was the President we needed, a man Trump could never be compared to. Trump will be the only American President to be charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison.

Comey said trump is not morally fit to be president

Said trump should not be impeached because that is a legal concept, the voters should go to the polls and vote him out because trump doesn't tepresent the morals of our country.

We already did that, trump LOST the popular vvote, where did that get us ,a traitor in the WH.

Impeach sounds good to me and LOCK HIM UP.

Comey seemed restrained in his answers, but trump still looks like a lying traitor, especially inviting the russians to the oval office alone, smearing Comey.

Also mr your fired appentice star was too cowardly to fire Comey in person or with a letter.

Rest of interview was nothing new, except for trump's over the top response, which leads me to believe comey knows more than he is saying, probably classified.

“I don’t think he’s medically unfit to be president. I think he’s morally unfit to be president.”

“A person who sees moral equivalence in Charlottesville, who talks about and treats women like they’re pieces of meat, who lies constantly about matters big and small and insists the American people believe it, that person’s not fit to be president of the United States, on moral grounds,” Comey said.

“The challenge of this president is that he will stain everyone around him,” he told Stephanopoulos. “And the question is, how much stain is too much stain and how much stain eventually makes you unable to accomplish your goal of protecting the country and serving the country?”

"Among the more salacious topics during the interview focused on the infamous Steele dossier that was compiled by a former British spy and alleged that footage exists of Trump watching prostitutes urinating in a Moscow hotel suite. Comey informed Trump about the allegations in private before his inauguration several times, and he writes in his book that Trump was obsessed with disproving them.

On Sunday, he said he was unsure if the rumors were true, but said they left the president open to blackmail by the Russian government.

“I honestly never thought these words would come out of my mouth, but I don’t know whether the ― the ― current president of the United States was with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow in 2013,” Comey said. “It’s possible, but I don’t know.”

Stephanopoulos also asked if he thought Russia had “something” on the president.

“I think it’s possible,” he said. “I don’t know. These are more words I never thought I’d utter about a president of the United States, but it’s possible.” "

This was more important to investigate than anything. I don't buy the lame excuses for not requiring ALL paid government employees to be on same type servers, rules, etc. WTF do you call trump entertaining Russians in the oval office? At marlardo dump? on airforce one? It is time to raise wholly hell about ALL paid elected servants to walk the fine line and stop running wild on USA taxpayer money. Cut them off, raise hell, stop the liars and demand. Kick their ass out the door and elect decent people.

  24. Inside tip about SNL. My son and his wife were in the audience last night because one of the actors is his close friend. My son said the set is very, very small - which I said we could tell - and then he said that the actors are reading off cue cards. Michaels tells them not to memorise lines, just to get the gist of the skit. They went to the cast party - which I assumed was some wild bachanel - but it's dinner at a nearby restaurant with each actor or writer having their own table. They stayed til 5a this morning. He said the show was great fun and, basically, the actors are all very friendly to the guests.
