"The Insider" was with Levi Johnston Thursday night as he watched "The Tonight Show" and heard host Conan O'Brien's personal apology for "misrepresenting him in any way" during a skit the night before. Read on for more...Levi exclusively tells "The Insider": "I'm glad I gave him something to talk about on his show. Obviously it's good that I'm on there."
There now. Was that so hard?
Of course not. And now Levi has salvaged his reputation without damaging a potentially advantageous relationship with a well known talk show host. See how this is done Sarah? Perhaps YOU should take notes.
Does anybody doubt that Conan will have Levi on his show in the not too distant future? Of course he will.
Like I pointed out in my previous post, It was not the fact that O'Brien and Shatner were poking fun at Levi that was the problem, it was that it was not REALLY Levi they were quoting.
Once they found some real quotes from Levi to use in their segment, Levi laughed right along with them.

I LOVE that one of the real quotes Conan used for the 2nd Shatner reading was all about 'Super Mom' Quittypants sending people out for Crunchwrap Supremes!!

ReplyDeleteThere is a serious disconnect with media when it comes to Levi. Too many believe (left, middle or right) the fake Twitter "facts" of life.

Can we send a fact checker to Geraldo at Large?
Ann Coulter is worked up over Levi. Her main message is PAY NO ATTENTION TO HIM OR HIS STORY. Coulter complains about the lack of fact checking on the lies, she says easy to disprove Levi lies. The message is to black list him, DO NOT REPORT ON A LIAR. Why? He is bad mouthing his almost mother in law.
Most of all Coulter wants no one to do a story on Levi. Kill his career, destroy his income is what her scream is saying.
Coulter claims no one fact checks Levi.
Where is she getting her facts?
Why is no one fact checking Geraldo's posse?
Why is no one fact checking the McCains? The history of Mafia connection and coverup is old hat.
Please don't forget The Daily Beast's, abandoned as a child, 'Chesty' McCain who saw up close both Johnston and the Palins. She won't say much about the Palins, that doesn't stop her from bashing Levi. Keep in mind the old family friends diary and memory of young 'Chesty.'
Gosinski details a conversation with Jeri Johnson, Cindy McCain's aunt, regarding Cindy's nanny, Diane, in a July 28, 1992 entry.
Diane voice concerns regarding Cindy's use of drugs and the effect it is having on the kids. Diane told Jeri that Meghan recently told her to "f^ck off" after trying to discipline her. She also told Jeri that she is concerned that Cindy is giving the kids drugs which unnecessarily sedate them. I hope that is not happening.

Miss Jeri (Cindy's aunt) was visiting with Dalton Smith, the Hensley's Pilot about Jim and Smitty confronting Cindy about her drug problem. During the conversation Dalton mentioned an incident which took place a couple of years ago -- Cindy had taken too many pills and had been rushed to a hospital near their home on Oak Creek. John McCain was rushed to the hospital and rather than helping Cindy obtain help he had her dismissed from the hospital and taken to the Cabin.
Even now, more than a decade-and-a-half later, Gosinski says he's not convinced that Cindy has cleaned herself up. Asked if her behavior in public and on the campaign trail this year mirrored his experiences in 1992, Gosinski agreed.
Gosinski, who believes he was fired because he had learned too much about McCain's drug abuse, says he has remained quiet out of fear of retribution from John McCain or his political allies.
Several hundred pages of documents from the extortion investigation and Gosinski's lawsuit also were distributed Wednesday, along with excerpts from his journal.
You refer to SP as being immature among other things. That woman is a sociopath. Read the book "The Sociopath Next Door" and you will see her. She has no conscience--NONE. Thats the sign of a Sociopath. It's all about her baby and anyone who gets in her way, including her own children, get the wrath of Sarah.
ReplyDeleteLevi needs to read some pretend Shatner quotes. "I named another horse after myself. Bill Shatner was bread to a mare in Arizona. . . Beam me up, Scotty along with this green demsel in distress." It could be funny.
ReplyDeleteIn the prior post on Levi I said Shatner said he channeled his "babe magnet" Kirk. He actually said Captain Kirk. I wish people knew that part. It changes the whole perception. He meant it more as more of a "wink-wink" nod to depict Levi as a "lady's man" rather than a mean spirited jab. I love that Shatner was genuinely appalled when he learned the reason Levi asked for correction. It shows compassion and decency.

It is just not common knowledge where some of the info about Levi is coming from. As his story gets out, that can change. He is up against a big machine.
Kiki, I knew that Shatner was complimenting Levi. It was actually a huge compliment now that Chris Pines is the new Kirk!

ReplyDeleteI agree, readers would be well advised to read "The Sociopath Next Door". Not only will they see the many traits of Sarah Palin discussed in that book, but most people will have known somebody who was unaccountably destructive and reading the book will help explain what they were dealing with.
John Dean's book "Conservatives without Conscience" is another good book to read to find out why people like Sarah appeal to the
"authoritarian follower" types. Finish off with Max Blumenthal's "Republican Gomorrah" and the whole picture with Sarah will be plain.
Those books will also help explain why Sarah has repeatedly lashed out at late night comics and anybody else who "crosses her", even when it is bad public relations. Levi, on the hand, might be an "Alaska redneck" but appears to have a conscience, something Sarah clearly seems to lack.
I love the fact that Ann Coulter is upset about Levi. Boo effin' hoo Ann! Levi, for all his youth, his lack of sophistication (which I think he will develop over time) his character is so far superior to Palin's it is very interesting to watch this whole saga unfold. Again, this could have been unavoided had Sarah Palin acted as a mature adult. I know that is something that is totally beyond her. It just gets better and better.

ReplyDeleteWatch the vid: does Conan look even remotely regretful. The whole thing is another bit. Compare Letterman's apology to Palin with O'brien's to Levy.
The latter was followed by Shatner using real quotes that made Johnston look even more like an extra from "Deliverance" than the first.

ReplyDeleteI cant say I quite understand what Letterman has to do with this. I'm curious how you determine sincerity. Certainly you realize there's not a scripted apology that they must follow. How sad that you feel the need to dismiss an apology based on delivery. I dont claim to know what's in his heart but I do know when Conan knew WHY Levi asked for correction he cared enough to explain it to Shatner, who in return INSISTED on setting the record straight for Levi immediately. And-also-too, while I hate to be the bearer of bad news, in the spirit of saving you further embarrassment, the quotes were SO NOT about Levi. The zings were directed at Sarah. The laughs were at her expense so maybe Sarah can get an apology too.

ReplyDeleteActually, Letterman did NOT give a completely contrite apology to Palin. His apology was more to his audience and to the daughter, and had more to do with a joke not being good if it requires explaining. It was thanks to Sarah that the underage daughter was dragged into the situation in the first place, and Dave apologized that the joke allowed that perception. But I'm with Kiki, not sure how Letterman has anything to do with this, anyway.
But since you brought him up, SP's followers who protested outside Letterman's studio did not do SP a favor. No wonder Ziegler got in a cab and skedaddled out of there when he was how things were going.
