Glenn Beck is now going to do for education what his Fox show has done for journalism. Destroy its credibility for generations to come.

Apparently if you still have a few functioning brain cells that you have not managed to kill through rampant binge drinking and methamphetamine use, attending online classes at THIS school should finally snuff them out.

I always thought that "stupid" was something you were for NOT learning, but that was just for the slackers, now there are these online courses available so that you can receive an unaccredited degree in "stupid".

Leave it to Glenn Beck to create a cottage industry out of the dissemination of ignorance. "Hey!  I am not just your everyday, run of the mill stupid!  I have a PHD in stupid!" says the Beckerhead.

I swear that everybody at Fox News is running some sort of scam on their viewers.

From Sean Hannity's Freedom Concert's where virtually NONE of the money went to the children of fallen troops, like they promised, to Sarah Palin's scam urging her undereducated minions to donate to her NEW legal defense fund after the old one was found to be illegal, to their ongoing pillaging of the Teabagger crowd. Fox News seems to be set up as one giant confidence game designed to rip people off and dumb them down with misinformation so that they are even more vulnerable to their tactics in the future.

Well at least this "University" only exists online, so that vulnerable students will not have to get to close to the idiocy which is Glenn Beck.  After all even one of his so-called "professors" was rendered unconscious when he flew to close to the stun.

You know I was a little surprised that Beck, who was a black out drunk himself, did not understand what Buckner meant when he kept repeating "I am passing out".  Surely Beck has said that numerous times himself in the past.  Or perhaps he believed that helping the guy before he hit the floor was too much like "government intervention?"

  2. That tool Buckner that Beck uses as an expert on economics is an adjunct professor of psychology and education at Teacher's College:
    http://www.tc.columbia.edu/faculty/about.htm?facid=db767

He isn't teaching economics to anybody. Notice that Beck cannot find a real professor of economics from Columbia University's School of Arts and Sciences or from NYU or any of the many other institutes of higher learning in NYC to spew his twisted theories.

Is it just me, or does this look staged? It looks like, to me, when he is on the floor (and Beck is leaning down) that he is getting up and then Beck asks him if he needs help.... I need a life....

You Americans pay far too much attention to Beck's gong show. By doing that you make him rich and more influencial in politics. But hey, that's your politics!

  5. I would think you would need a degree to even consider running your own school of "higher" learning. If that hasn't already ruined your brain cells get read for Bristol. She is on TV tonight.

"I swear that everybody at Fox News is running some sort of scam on their viewers."

That's for sure. Many of the scams are not new, some are just reworked. Beck is a Mormon and they have great on-line courses. Just ask Levi and Bristol Palin. Where is Sarah? She really did flake out on the troops.

  7. It seems that we see a lot of men passing out on TV. Petraeus was the last one. A couple more, can't remember who. Why don't women do this? Are they more tuned into their bodies so they know when to take a breather? Actually, I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they were passing out when it happened. That's a pretty complex thing to do (talk).

Alcohol was not Beckie's only indulgence. Now he is just a lard butt scamming the elderly, and uneducated. Same for his sidekick. Lee

It is not the paying attention by those asking question of the loons that make them rich. The same schemes have been cooking for years with religious and neo-con types. They've been "writing" books and selling that crap as if it is a best seller and doing charity to self promote, whatever it takes. They get organized church groups involved with their gaining popularity. The loud mouth exhibitionists attract the backers with money and they get set up to get the hate radio jobs, TV or where they can build a name brand, with all the promotions and bells and whistles to attract attention.

If people with intellect did not pay attention to the bigger picture it would be only warmongers and religious kooks paying attention and they would sell more worship of false idols and lies to more victims.

This idiot made $32,000,000 last year off his minions - guess that wasn't enough for him, now this crap.

Just like Sarah, fleece the gullible for all you can and laugh all the way to the bank.

Anon 8:36- Agree. I'm Alaskan and American, and I often wonder if - by giving attention to the nuts - we are essentially giving them "power." If we instead spread positive messages about the Obama adminstration, we would be giving our present administration the power. As Mother Theresa said, she would never go to an "Anti-War" demonstration, but she would go to a "Peace" demonstration. Aligning with the positive solution, not the problem.

However, matter-of-fact journalistic exposure (w/o emotion) is needed to counter the deceptions of people like Beck. I like the way Rachel Maddow presents the facts and doesn't go into the emotion.

Actually, I don't personally know anyone who watches Beck. (His ratings suck.) But many Americans do believe in "Someone else watches the lunatic so the rest of us don't have to."

    Thanks Gryphen!

Hey, kids! Don't forget to go to the public library to read up on the dangers of progressivism. It's free!

(And be sure to buy gold. Lots and lots of gold! Gold! Gold!! Gold!!)

Nothing says well-dressed like a tie and jacket over a pair of scruffy jeans.
Beck, just put on the camo-tee you normally wear with those jeans.

Chris Rodda is, in my opinion, the leading authority on all things Beck and Barton. She is the author of "Liars for Jesus" and the senior research director for the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (aka MRFF, pronounced murf)

Chris is on this. She has already enrolled as a student in Beck U. so she can see for herself what is being taught, and prepare her rebuttals, which she does so thoroughly and competently in her contributions to Talk2Action, Daily Kos, and the Huffington Post. She also maintains her own website where you can explore, and learn, and watch videos of Chris rebutting some of Barton's crap.

All of us wish we could make a contribution to ending this madness. Most of us do not have the time, the money, or the inclination to do the kind of research needed, or make regular and substantial financial contributions to those that do. So how can we help? First, get educated. There are plenty of organizations, authors, and bloggers who have this information available. There are researchers who live on limited incomes who devote themselves to digging out the information and acting as watchdogs. There is no fame or glory for them. Then there are folks like Gryphen and Leah who find that research, condense it into small readable posts and pass it on to us. They are the messengers. There are those such as MRFF, The Southern Poverty Law Center, the ACLU, and AU (Americans United for Separation of Church and State) who make it their business to fight the illegal breaches of our Constitution, through the court system, if necessary. Pick just one researcher, author, blogger, or organization and commit to making a $10.00 a month contribution for the next year.

More than you can handle right now? I get it. Lots of folks are hurting right now. So here’s one more idea. Go to Chris’s website http://www.liarsforjesus.com/ and just under the page title is a link to buy her book. Please be sure to use this link, as it will help her to earn just a tad more money. Buy the book. It’s only $23.99 and not only do you get to contribute, you get something in return. Even if you never read the book, you’ve done something that will help the cause. It’s a one shot deal and will go further than you know to helping. And for those who don’t have one spare nickel right now, you can help too. Share the info. When you find a particularly helpful blog post, or news item, pass it on. Post it to your Facebook page. Email the link to your friends and family. Getting the word OUT is just as important as getting the word to begin with.

I apologize if this comes across as spamming. I’m just trying to encourage everyone to get involved.

You might be amused by the 'Cracked' article that sets Beck straight about founding father Thomas Paine (misused historic symbol #5).

How hilarious that it's called Beck U, like eff U. The media have such contempt for their audience, probably because it's so easy to manipulate the masses.

Wait, what's that sound? Is it the wind? No, just the ghost of Edward Bernays laughing and laughing and laughing...

Daily Show last night did a piece on Michael Steele, Chairman of the RNC, pointing out that he is actually running a 'Ponzi scheme of stupid.' How true and Fox is his overpaid PR firm.

Good grief! Dude was completely gray. Is Beck totally unable to think about anyone other than himself? 'Somebody help him please?' as they all just stand around and watch. How about YOU help him and call 911? Oops, I forgot that is a socialist system set up to take away our individual right to die on camera.
