Unlike Sarah Palin, who whines and complains about nonexistent death threats, local Palin critic, Andree McLeod, only wishes hers were imaginary.

Courtesy the FrumForum:

On December 29, the Anchorage Daily News posted an article reporting that four journalists and McLeod, a local citizen activist, were still waiting for the state to release Palin’s emails in response to requests that they had filed two years earlier. (I am one of those journalists.) The Anchorage Daily News noted that the governor’s office had recently asked for and obtained from the state attorney general the 14th delay in processing the request, and it highlighted McLeod’s role in the request. The paper reported:

McLeod has accused the administrations of Palin and her former lieutenant governor and now successor, Sean Parnell, of abuse of power “with these delay tactics.”

“Who does Sean Parnell protect and defend by keeping these official e-mail documents secret?” McLeod wrote to Sullivan, objecting to the proposed 14th delay. “Who does he serve? Ex-governor Sarah Palin, or the people of Alaska?”

Two days later, an anonymous person posted a death threat targeting McLeod in the “Rants & Raves” section of the Anchorage Craigslist. The posting, which echoed an email sent to the Anchorage Daily News, read in full:

I find it very offensive that Andre Mclead [sic] is asking the state for every e-mail written or received in ANY account maintained by Palin and her husband. Where does this bitch get off thinking the public should shell out for her revenge for the Palin family. I’ve heard enough from this, and I would like to use stronger words to express my feeling for Andre. Well…I think Andre has used up to [sic] much oxygen. So I have my scope cross hair on her head! She better watch out, the request may have been her last!

I know you won’t publish this. ADN relish in bashing the Palin’s too!

Let’s clean up the political garbage.

Gee nothing imaginary or misinterpreted about that.

The facts are that serious death threats and real insanity does NOT come from the Palin critics.  It comes from those who are so mentally unstable that they actually believe that she has the qualities necessary to lead this country.

As a matter fact, in my opinion, one of the signs of a serious mental illness should be the desire to support or send money to Sarah Palin.

Stay safe Andree.

The fucking perpetrator wrote in her threatening letter to the ADN: "So I have my scope cross hair on her head! She better watch out, the request may have been her last!"

See there? Even the Paylin lover knows what that crosshair business means. Also too, seems the wacko who threatened Andree (for asking questions of the quitter queen) loves the baby Jesus, and goes on and on and on about how she's a"christian" on her my space. These people are the ones we have to protect ourselves from!

You aren't kidding. Palinbots are odd birds, period. I remember reading a column from a middle school teacher who is gaga over Palin. She asked her students what they thought about her, and when one little girl said she didn't like her, the teacher said in her column that she cornered the girl at her locker and demanded to know what she based her dislike of Palin on.

She had no idea how insane she sounded in her column.

If Sarah Palin's flying monkey's are so opposed to having her emails released, aren't they really saying, they know that her emails will expose her and what really was going on in the governor's office?

Why would Parnell want to tie himself to a sinking ship this way? Won't the next person that runs against him say, "not only did he support Sarah Palin, but he did everything he could to cover it up". Because this will ultimately all come out.

You can bet the GOP will make sure this all comes out if it's not released sooner and all Parnell is doing is making it worse for himself.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Anonymous7:26 AM

What's funny is Parnell is helping her cover all this up, and the truth is, if the roles were reversed, she would release everything and say she was the one "cleaning up the governor's office from corruption". She would stand on his head while releasing them. Parnell knows this.

It's amazing that the authorities in AK wouldn't even go talk to the woman who made those threats. How long will the Palin Cult be protected? What's it going to take for people to just come out with their stories, spill the beans on Palin, investigate where there's good reason to investigate? Why are people still waiting to speak out? Those emails must be loaded with illegal activities.

These anti-government types think it is okay for Sarah to run the most opaque administration in the history of Alaska. They somehow just KNOW she is doing good things, even though they are too stupid to even check on the stuff she DIDN'T hide. And I'll bet most of them STILL don't know that Andree is a Republican. Fucking morons.

Doesn't Alaska have a state equivalent of the FBI?

Surely it or the FBI itself should be called in because of the political nature of the death threats.

The local police should be investigated by the Attorney General's office for not following through on an investigation.

Unlike pro-lifers on abortion, I believe every life is important. No one should have to worry about this kind of madness, particularly not because you are exercising your rights as a citizen to look into government corruption.

Sarah Palin or Sean Parnell should step forth and ask that the email disclosure be expedited. Otherwise, it looks as if they do have something to hide.

Sarah has enough shame on her head with the Tucson incident. He could save some of her reputation if she would publicly denounce this threat and denounce all such behaviors.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Anonymous7:59 AM

So where is Sarah's voice on this? Shouldn't she be taking the point on this and saying no one should threaten anyone?

Gosh, Sarah, do you not have any shame or any compassion?

Be the woman some poor folks think you are - lead. Lead by denouncing this threat!

It might just salvage your political career and get more people to buy tickets to your speeches. Stand up for what is decent. Stand against violence now!

It's going to be very interesting - and give loads of data for those social psycologists out there - to watch these people twist themselves into Gumbies to justify the unethical and potentially illegal actions that "Gov" Palin(s)perpetrated upon the people of Alaska for 1 1/2 years. I am just hoping it ends up with some serious criminal charges. I want some major justice to come down on their heads. And then watch the Palinbots turn them (the Palins) in to maryters. Minnesota Statute....
    609.713 TERRORISTIC THREATS.

Subdivision 1.Threaten violence; intent to terrorize.

Whoever threatens, directly or indirectly, to commit any crime of violence with purpose to terrorize another or to cause evacuation of a building, place of assembly, vehicle or facility of public transportation or otherwise to cause serious public inconvenience, or in a reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror or inconvenience may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than five years or to payment of a fine of not more than $10,000, or both. As used in this subdivision, "crime of violence" has the meaning given "violent crime" in section 609.1095, subdivision 1, paragraph (d).

    Subd. 2.Communicates to terrorize.

Whoever communicates to another with purpose to terrorize another or in reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror, that explosives or an explosive device or any incendiary device is present at a named place or location, whether or not the same is in fact present, may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than three years or to payment of a fine of not more than $3,000, or both.

Are we to presume the same organization was in charge of dismissing this horrible life threat without contacting the violent writer? Maybe the same law body that maybe did not like what they found out about the NICU registered nurse's demise that died in her house fire, that maybe implicated someone they wanted to protect?

Is it the same group of authorities that never gave us any answers about the fire at the church?

Is it the same legal organization that apparently did not want to divulge what might be found out by looking into the materials list for building the hockey stadium in Wasillyville?

Now, can we presume if the same authorities are the "go to" people for looking at Toady's behavior that they can "prove" Toady's was a case of mistaken identity? (or maybe just someone trying to get back at $P?)

Andree McLeod deserves support for her endeavors and safety and that now needs to be provided by the "authorities" in AK.

What kind of warning do the authorities have to have to act? Does this palinbot idiot own a gun? Are there earlier criminal problems in their past? Have they harmed someone following threats in the past? That is basic law enforcement work!

What can we do to help Andree? Anyone, suggestions?

    Wikipedia on Death Threats...

"In many jurisdictions, death threats are a criminal offense. Death threats are often covered by coercion statutes. For instance, the coercion statute in Alaska says:

A person commits the crime of coercion if the person compels another to engage in conduct from which there is a legal right to abstain or abstain from conduct in which there is a legal right to engage, by means of instilling in the person who is compelled a fear that, if the demand is not complied with, the person who makes the demand or another may inflict physical injury on anyone..."

I wonder how many people Sean Parnell will allow to die before he steps up to the plate and starts enforcing some laws.

I feel another Tucson coming on - Andrea should continue to pursue this as far as she can go with it. Even if she has to take it to the Justice Department.

Since, in order to be a Palin fan, you must be totally ignorant of her record as mayor and governor, the person who wrote that threat probably can't imagine there might be even more incriminating material in that which has been withheld.

The rest of us, having actual documented unethical behavior by Palin as probable cause, want to know what else she was up to, and what business she felt needed to be so far out of public view as to insist that it be conducted on private email. She lies constantly and she stole from us, and we see no reason to protect her from the truth.

Thank you, Andree, for continuing to point out the flaws in our ethics legislation and for working hard to make them stronger, so we can't be Palinized by anyone else.

To the person that posted that threat: Maybe you and Palin need to get together and do some praying. If either of you are Christians, we are having a hard time telling it from your behavior, and it seems you need to do some confession, repentance, and atonement before you meet your maker.

@8:24 Exactly! That is the only reason I can think of that he has allowed this delay to go on beyond what the law says on this situation.

So, we have a complicit Gov, a complicit AG, and a complicit State ethics/personnel board. What recourse do the citizens of the State have at this point?

The courts are going to have to intervene, because if it's left up the current administration in Alaska, they will delay the FOIA requests in perpetuity. The best avenue would probably be to sue in federal court, but the state courts might do.

I find it interesting that in an overt threat on McLeod, one of Palin's flying monkeys uses the EXACT SAME IMAGERY that Palin has maintained was NOT a threat. Even the flying monkeys know what was meant by the bull's eye graphic and at least this one isn't disputing that it is a threat.

In one post this flying monkey proves that Palin surely meant the graphic as a threat, that the flying monkeys are violent thugs, and that they are all morons.

Palin had better hope that none of her troop so much as cuss openly at McLeod or it will be just so much more confirmation that Palin was indeed inciting violence.

  32. I have to admit, I used to think McLeod was a crackpot with some sort of personal vendetta against Palin. In actuality, she just saw early on what many others either refused to see, or were too idealistic with the "rogue" to "get it." Thanks to McLeod, many issues were brought to light that would have remained covered up. As well, if Palin really did step down as Governor in part due to all the lawsuits, then I'd like to say "Thank you, Andree!" McLeod held Palin's feet to the fire when others were afraid to do so.

Yeah, Parnell needs to release those bloody emails so that people can see what the heck Palin was really doing when she was supposed to be running our state.

    ReplyDelete

Another blow to Palin's presidential hopes

History will record that Sarah Palin's presidential hopes ended the week of the Tucson shootings. Palin may not have been responsible for the tragedy (a point eloquently made by Dan Hodges) but her inept and confused response made her look unpresidential in the eyes of most Americans.

The latest polls confirm the damage that the affair has done to Palin's standing. A poll of Republican members in the kingmaker state of New Hampshire put her in fourth place on 7 per cent behind Mitt Romney (35 per cent), Ron Paul (11 per cent) and Tim Pawlenty (8 per cent). Meanwhile, in the Times (£), ConservativeHome's Tim Montgomerie suggests that Jeb Bush is now the most credible Republican candidate for 2012 and adds that "the sooner Mrs Palin is removed from the race, the sooner voters can have a good look at other candidates."

Another recent survey by Public Policy Polling found that Texas would become a swing state if Palin was selected by the Republicans. While Mike Huckabee has a lead of 16 points over Obama in the state and Mitt Romney has a lead of 7 points, Palin leads the President by just a single point in a hypothetical contest. Psephological reality means that there is now no chance of Palin winning the Republican nomination.

    1) The Police/FBI/Alaska Law Dept should have a case file for the "Scope cross-hair on her head" person. The person could be a verbal crack-pot .. but again, could be a crack-pot with a gun and low anger threashold. Either way - this person (as well as Andree) should be monitored for more "signs" of instability.

As I posted earlier, the next two years are going to be a bumpy ride and we certainly don't want our civil rights infringed upon any more than the Patriot Act already does.

Also, too, if the authorities are working on a case here, they would want to be scrupulous about the collection and authentication of evidence.

    This is totally IMHO.

Andree McCleod is everything Sarah Palin claims to be, truth be told. A relentless reformer of closed, secretive government run by people who think they are entitled to act without questioning. And she is proving she really doesn't "need a title" - or media infamy - to make a difference.

Take close note, Sarah Palin. "Falefel Lady" as you call her in your book is playing a key role in exposing you for the total fraud you are.
