Did Sarah Palin just stand up Lou Dobbs on his show's debut as payback over rumor that Roger Ailes is going to dump her?

According to Cincinnati.com Sarah Palin was supposed to be a special guest to help Lou Dobbs launch his brand new Fox show:

Former CNN financial expert Lou Dobbs returns to TV tonight on the Fox Business Network with “Lou Dobbs Tonight.” Sarah Palin will guest on his premiere at 7 p.m. on Fox Business.

Not only that but the Palin-bots over at the Sea O'Pee have been pimping it like its a brand new whore fresh off the bus, with a recently purchased set of fake ta ta's.

Well guess what?

The show started, no Sarah.

The middle of show arrived, no Sarah.

Then the show came to an end, and still no Sarah.

As you can imagine, the Palin-bots lost their shit.  Then at some point the Sea O'Pee went down. (As of the writing of this post, it is still down.)

This drove the Sarah Palin junkies into a frenzy, and they ran over to another sympathetic website to vent their frustrations, blame everybody EXCEPT Palin, and to run around like chickens with their heads cut off.
So, wha hoppen?  Well as of right now I don't know.

However I should point out the odd coincidence that all of this is taking place two days after the story that McCain picked Palin solely due to her gender comes out, one day after the story that Roger Ailes may be over his crush on Palin came out, and on the same day that Mika Brzezinski announces on Morning Joe that she believes that Ailes is planning to dump her.

Personally I am not sure if these stories are  connected to what happened today or not, however who was it again who said that they did not "believe in coincidences?"

Update: My favorite comment thus far over at the Sea O'Pee:

Look, if they announce that Palin is going to be on Lou Dobbs and Palin isn’t on Lou Dobbs, that’s grist for the Politico mill, guys. Let’s find out why this happened before Johnathan Martin and the rest of the propaganda ministry get out there with the Ailes/Palin Feud.

One thing Palin wouldn’t do is not appear on Dobbs because she was in a snit with Ailes. Palin is nothing if not professional.

Seriously, how much longer can even people THIS simple continue to delude themselves?

Checked out your Palinbot links, Gryphen, and all I have to say is, man what a delusional group of robotic worshippers they are. At first they weren't sure if she was going on Dobbs show, then they swore they read it on another site, then they were frantic that Dobbs didn't mention her and then one poor, sorry soul came up with the "brilliant" idea that she wasn't on because she told Ailes she was running for president. (cue the eye roll)
Not one of them connected the dots that her stock has sunk so low, she is even toxic to her fellow conservaturds.
No wonder Palin imagines she is the chosen one. They worship her like a supreme being.

Roger Ailes being the Chair of Fox News has gotta be mixing with other head media types who discuss Palin, and part of the "coincidence" has got to be the new movie with Julianna Moore playing Palin. Perhaps, Ailes is waking up and finally read the book: "Game Change".

O/T: I went to the Fred Meyers on Northern Lights today. Top of my list was purchasing paper towels. Guess what!? I was so happy. They were all out of all brands of paper towels, except Brawny. No one was touching Brawny! Let's keep boycotting Koch!!

    Angel Soft toilet paper
    Brawny paper towels
Dixie plates, bowls, napkins and cups
    Mardi Gras napkins and towels

    Sparkle napkins

Pain is a graceless, feckless clod. She is so vindictive and harbors petty grudges in perpetuity that if she thinks she's being dissed by Ailes or Murdoch himself, she would lash out at them, or at least unleash her stinky horde of flying monkeys to do so in her stead.

She simply cannot forget or walk away from any slight, no matter how insignificant or unimportant it is. No subject is too small for her tiny little brain and soul.

Maybe Palin just pissed in her own punchbowl. I do hope that she's throwing a hissy fit by not going on Dobbs' program. It would be marvelous if she received a direct order from Ailes to do so for he would have grounds for termination of her contract. If they've been looking for a way out to rid themselves of that irritating bitch, Palin may have just handed it to them on a plate.

I would love to see the look of disbelief, of faint comprehension, of dim understanding when she realizes that the easy FauxNews money is going, going, gone.

If I were a betting man, I think I'd wager that Palin is going to have to let the FauxNews techies enter her lair to dismantle her studio by the end of the week. Surely she'll throw a tantrum.

Wouldn't it be cool if she tried to keep Murdoch's stuff?

Although I strongly doubt that when the time comes when she will need to begin her extreme up-hill challenge of a Presidential campaign, she will back down, as is her pattern. She loves the spot light (and it’s paycheck) but none of the responsibility of doing actual hard work. Her dismal record during her short, self-abdicated term as Alaska’s Governor combined with all of the self-made hideous images that are undoubtedly going to be replayed over and over again from the horribly failed 2008 campaign and forward, have already doomed her to political satire and nothing more. If that is not enough, her previous VP candidacy allowed for more than ample post-campaign follow-up investigative reporting (mostly from the people that know her best – her home town and home state newspapers and reporters) that details Palin’s woeful lack of leadership, intellect, honesty, integrity, focus, language skills, etc., and will drown out any message that she may have – and some message it is: a clueless, pretty lip-stick wearing, family-exploiting, anti-American low-intellect, air-headed winker, who incites violent rhetoric from her duped supporters. And this is what is on record today – imagine what is still out there to be revealed if she does try to mount a serious campaign! That “microcosm of American” that she called Alaska is just proof that she is either an adroit liar or total idiot; – statistically, Alaska is nothing like any other of the lower 48 states and she isn’t like most Americans – honest, hard working, respectful people – she is not worthy of representing this nation, and those who support her candidacy will receive their just ridicule as well.

Statement from Ovation CEO Charles Segars Regarding Comments Made by Sarah Palin on Fox News' "Hannity" Show on March 10

LOS ANGELES, March 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- "While it's not surprising that those hungry for constant media attention, like Sarah Palin, would use the misguided words of one former NPR employee as fodder to call the entire organization a mouth piece for the Left, I am surprised that she would go so far as to extend this thinking to the NEA. She has called the NEA 'frivolous' and said it should be cut. This kind of knee-jerk, uninformed rhetoric is the stuff of cheap-shot campaign commercials. America's arts sector is a huge driver of our economy and proposed cuts to the NEA don't take into account the substantial return on investment those funds generate in tax revenue to local, state and federal treasuries. Shame on her for turning the arts into partisan politics. It doesn't take much creative thinking to work this out. The Arts are good for America and Americans, and on Arts Advocacy Day April 5 -- you'll hear many more voices join the chorus."
    About Charles Segars
Charles Segars is the CEO of Ovation, the only television and multi-platform network dedicated to arts culture.

Mr. Segars is also the co-creator and executive producer of the "National Treasure" movie franchise, and the Honorary Co-Chair of Arts Advocacy Day 2011.

The Right-Wing War Against Sarah Palin

When has disapproval from establishment Republicans stopped her in the past? And especially from conservative intellectuals? If the goal here is to intimidate Palin into staying on the sidelines, it seems to me the likelier effect is that it will goad her into entering the race.

@ 7:11, I always thought she (he?) was reporting legitimately on what some inside observers had shared about DWTS, as well as a few other Bristol tidbits here and there, but she/he lost me on the whole "every young male pop singer is gay" train of thought - though I realized the few to whom she was referring.

Also the "many actors and celebrities have doubles" thread pushed it, imo. It truly stretched the bounds of believability. One bad picture of a person and they were deemed a double! It was kind of absurd. She and her posters are convinced Bristol uses doubles these days. I do think the family was happy to confuse people with some of the cousins around the campaign period, but I don't think Bristol is actively employing someone to impersonate her at this point. She does look different after the unfortunate cosmetic procedures, but I think it's her!

Major error about Sarah's book in a recent post; MI mistakenly said Game Change was Sarah's. In her intro she claimed someone offered her money for a screenplay or series (?) about her own life story...

I think this person was in over her head, basically. Definite connections to the entertainment industry, perhaps not only a writer but someone well known herself, who had the occasional juicy info to post but that's about it. She just didn't have enough material to keep it going, and she didn't seem to like people holding her accountable for some of her contentions.

I doubt she had anything to do with the Palins. She really didn't write about them that much. She did seem particularly interested in claiming that Todd is bisexual, saying she knows some of his male lovers.

She kept saying how busy she is, so that's likely the real reason she stopped. I bet she'll come around again.

I hate to say it's taken me this long to figure it out b/c this is the one thing I never really put much thought into but I just figured it out.

First let me say I'm dealing with all going on in WI so I've not paid much attention to Queenie lately. I'm right in the thick of things and it is sooooooo much more than budget and even bargaining rights and unions. This man is deconstructing our state as we speak and his gop hanger-ons are in huge trouble. We're in full recall motion here and moving quickly.

Secondly I'll say what dawned on me today. Sarah has been strung along with the book offers, the lavish tours and high paid speeches with lavish hotels, chance meetings with celebrities, high profile events, fox news gig, reality show, etc. All has been funneled money even the PAC is a ruse. Anything to keep her as a huge distraction. They know she'll say, do, act, etc. however she pleases, can't be controlled, is a hysterical sideshow. So they used what is to them piddly amounts of money to get her out of the way so 1. they could rape AK lands even further
    2. keep everyone distracted, angry, confused, and most of all again DISTRACTED
    3. start laying down the groundwork to take over in 2010 election using govs funded by citizens united ruling.
    4. while lying down the governor takeover the plans to take over everything else

Again, she has been nothing but a distraction that they paid mightily for a big job and she's either just been made aware that while they appreciate her valuable services she will not be getting any of their $$ support for a race or she is about to get dropped completely without so much as an explanation with the big boys thinking that she understands that means time to walk away and be grateful for what we gave you and how rich you are now.

Will be interesting to watch play out but is certainly a most likely scenario. She's such a sensational type personality that she became a great distraction that fell heavily and willingly into their lap. Wouldn't surprise me if they actually picked her because she pulled off the greatest stunt of all mankind by faking a pregnancy in such a ridiculous way. Maybe they realized that made her the golden ticket. Keep digging on this craziness while we 'shoplift the pootie'.

It's ridiculous I know but face it people. What is happening here in WI is the proof we all needed that we are currently living in someone's production. In a movie of our own making.

At free republic, "techno" of c4p long-winded fame is their "go-to" person and de facto leader tonight. Here are some of the statements directed to techno re the no-show on Dobbs and the c4p site down:

"I am worried for the folks downwind of the most recent nuclear devastation in Japan. Is Mrs. Palin at home taking care of her family?"

"I think they are fixing to release her. Only my opinion but she is running. Secondly, she has a cold."

"... she is madder than a hoot owl about the latest Politico article and Roger is afraid of what she will say, lol!!!"

"Thing is, C4P is the Cadillac of Palin blogs. If they say she was going to appear, she's appearing, damnit."

"Is “Windflier” on FR yet? I think Windflier’s got Sarah’s cell number. Maybe we can check up on her and make sure she’s ok."

The consensus seems to be that either she is announcing her candidacy OR she has to leave early for India (taking re-routed flights due to Japan tragedy). Bwaaaaaaaaahahahahah!

I'm having a lovely time, reading your post, Gryphen and all the witty, fun comments. Thank you all!

There is always the possibility that SP just blew off her appointment (she often flakes out at the last moment) but I'm thinking Anon7:21pm has an excellent theory.

Lou Dobbs may have just said he would ask her some unscripted questions, and she just freaked out.

I like DootDid's idea of Sarah as distraction. Last year, we followed those $100,000. speeches, commented on her awful clothing and/or hairdo, Bristol help with the game, too. Meanwhile, the Republicans energized those Tea Party voters in November.

Please don't think that Wisconsin was an isolated case of undoing citizens' rights, attacking teachers and unions. Michigan is going to pass a law that will literally take away the power from any local city, town or village. (Rachel has been reporting on this). Other states are poised to bust their public employee unions. In other states, they are passing laws to demand a drivers license as voting ID. This affect primarily the poor voters who don't drive and who do vote Democratic. Much of this smells like a Karl Rove organization. If not Karl, it's someone who thinks like him. So, Sarah was very useful in getting Democrats to take their eyes off the ball. Remember, that was Sarah's best game, stealing the ball.

Now, she has become an embarrassment. Roger and her lawyer told her not to respond to the criticism following the Arizona shootings. Sarah can't take even the smallest amount of criticism. She has to respond, and she did.

I also wonder what Roger thinks about those rumors that Sarah is moving to Arizona, especially after Fox paid a pretty penny for that TV studio in Alaska.

8:42 DootDid, I think you have it spot-on, Sarah Palin was a Republican funded distraction while the real GOP was and is robbing the bank. I can't wait to see them recalled and I can't wait to see Walker forced out.

  81. In talking to each other the fans at the PeeZoo are trying to reassure themselves that the reason that Palin was NOT on Lou Dobbs is because she was never supposed to be on. Those ads that were shown were all about her previously appearing on Pirro's show, not Dobb's show so anyone who saw the ads about Dobb's premiere show was just seeing things, didn't you know that??? Also, Palin was probably just too busy according to one PeeZoo member because of her trip to India and all that she has to concern herself with because of Japan!!!! Did you know they were waiting to hear from Palin to know what to do next in Japan? Apparently waiting with baited breath for her instructions as to what to do in regards to the devastation. Don't worry, she'll get back to you just like she did the senior citizens and those who needed aid in Alaska when she was Governor and don't worry your pretty little head about the rumors that people died waiting for her to make a decision, it was only 256 people, not all that many since she never said a word about the deaths she could have prevented!

My god do they really think people are going to start flocking to their site? I guess they think SP is really going to run. One thing, at least their comments are hysterical.

I can't stand Lou Dobbs. He is such a smug nitwit. Would love to know why SP wasn't on since it was advertised that she would be on his first show.

  92. When Sarah was getting ready to quit the governorship, she lined up several money making options. Now, while she is trying to decide if grabbing at that "presidential candidate" title (or even POTUS in her personal fantasy)is worth the money and hassle, she is busily going through her list of money making options. Her eyes have always been on the biggest prize she can get. I think Arizona is on the table with several options. And Sarah really wants a successful TV show. I'm sure of it. She has tried 3 ways. That bogus interview show, the reality show, and her fox analyst gig. She has totally stunk in all three, but I'm sure she blames that on the people around her. She's still looking for the right vehicle, but it needs to be one that includes lots of exposure and minimum work. And lots of money. If you keep Sarah's motives down to the basics, her behavior makes more sense. More than anything, she is driven by basic ambition to be richer than anybody she knows and more famous than anybody, and to get back at everybody who ever dissed her (any of 'em, all of 'em). While she may have been born with her personality disorder, I suspect that old Dad Chuck played mind games with his kids.

The derby one with truckstop hat, white top, boob pump up with black bra makes her look like she is going out drinking and partying after being at the races.

The picture of her face all screwed up like seriously like someone with severe mental issues and is so holy cow fukking ugly.

Sarah has aged 20 years since 2008.

Why Paylin didn't show on Lou Dobbs. He's in the holding pen for Beck's time slot, I guarantee and since Paylin is such a fan of Beck, she's playing petty games. the pee pond is now trying to spin this as "she was never scheduled to appear on Dobb's show" but I'm willing to bet she did a no show as a "protest" to the rumor that Beck is about to get canned so Dobbs can slide into his slot.

I expect we're going to get a statement that Sarah had never actually committed to appearing with Lou Dobbs; it was discussed but Lou never confirmed. She's used that in the past and it's worked for her.

"Sarah really wants a successful TV show. I'm sure of it. She has tried 3 ways. That bogus interview show, the reality show, and her fox analyst gig. She has totally stunk in all three"

If you consider her early years and reading sports news on TV, that makes four TV attempts she's stunk on.

@6:06, sorry, but Sarah Palin is loyal to one person and one person only: Sarah Palin. Also, if she were "protesting" Dobbs, she wouldn't have agreed to be on the show in the first place, and then look like a flake or diva for backing out.

  106. I am not surprised - nor particularly sorry - to see MI's blog go down. I posted once or twice, and each time her immediate posted response was unnecessarily snarky and also slightly inaccurate, one time even all but accusing me of plagiarizing a pretty common two-word phrase to describe Sarah (don't remember the actual words now) but it was a startling way to use a blog with its commenters.

Also, I just got tired of reading all the ways that we should be impressed with her, her experience, her projects, her secrets, her connections, her yada yada yada.

Glad she went on to her greater good elsewhere. We really just did not deserve her valuable time, and apparently did not adequately appreciate her vast knowledge and insight.
