Palin-bots hope to convince Palin to run for President by showing up to watch her crappy movie.

Essentially the Palin supporters have become so desperate to find some way to get Sister Sarah into the 2012 race that they have pinned all of their hopes on this one movie, "The Undefeated."

First they hope to convince the voters that by showing up en masse to the film's debut they will show that since THEY are pathetically unintelligent enough to believe this woman could actually handle the job of President, that surely there are OTHER voters pathetically unintelligent enough to believe the same.

From the Sea O'Pee:

If voters in Iowa hear about how a large group of Palin supporters, who did not have tickets to see the Undefeated and did not have any guarantee they would be able to meet the Governor at the post-movie barbeque, still came all the way to a small town like Pella just to show support for her potential candidacy, that should have an impact on voters that I described in the preceding paragraph and the narrative.

"Don't you see? if enough people simply stand outside the theatre waving misspelled signs and chanting incoherently, surely that will convince America that SHE is their only hope to help take this country back to its foundations, back to when black people knew their place was trimming the hedges, NOT trimming defense spending."

The Palinese Liberation Army also hopes that if they show up in large enough  numbers they can convince an even more reluctant hold out that Sarah Palin should run for President.  Sarah Palin herself.

As I speculated about earlier, this event may not only have an impact on the narrative and on voters but it may have a big impact on the Governor’s decision on whether to run for the presidency. If what she is gauging is the amount of spontaneous support that exists for her candidacy, the Undefeated’s debut in Pella, Iowa on Tuesday presents her supporters with a great opportunity to show her that such spontaneous support exists. It’s not often that regular people can impact events that could change the country. Whether Palin runs or not is one such event that could change the country and regular people certainly can impact what decision she arrives at if all goes well Tuesday in Pella, Iowa.

"Come on gang!  I mean surely she quit her bus tour and skipped out on jury duty for something!  She MUST secretly want to run for President, even though all indications are that she does not, she MUST! Or what else do we have to live for? Seriously, what do we have to live for?"

Her supporters are already gettin' excited!

Sadly the drive would be prohibitively long.
A plane ticket round trip STARTS at $1000.
So I'm afraid I'll have to be there in spirit only

I would like to go to Pella but I don't have a car right now. I'm also a military veteran who is still severely underemployed. I have to be careful how I invest my time and very limited money.

Y'all might want to bring your own fixins. I got a hunch they won't be able to feed everyone.
I'll be there in spirit.

However there are a few hardy souls willing to embarrass themselves in public for Granny Grifter.

I already considered that and after C4P asked people to show up, even if they couldn't get a ticket, I canceled my late morning hair appointment Tuesday (it will take a month to get another one) so that I could leave with plenty of time to spare. I have over a three hour drive and I anticipate horrific traffic. I may have to park a long way from the Opera House so I'll be wearing comfortable shoes and sporting dark roots, but I am determined to make it on time.

Whew!  Sounds like quite a robust show of support to me!

By the way the Pee-pods are making a big deal about the Opera House ALREADY being sold out.  Which I guess MIGHT be kind of impressive, if it held more than 324 people.

Man I would give ANYTHING to show up outside of that Opera House on Tuesday to interview these people. That would have to be some of the most entertaining footage ever!  Just watching these poor souls stumbling to come up with a sensible reason for their continued support of this woman would be worth the plane ride alone.

My fingers are crossed that there is a reporter near this place who has that very same idea.

If the Governor does decide to run for the presidency, we can help make sure that the history books indicate that Tuesday was one of the turning points and that was the day that provided the Governor with conclusive evidence that she was the one Republicans and Republican-leaning independents wanted as their standard-bearer. If you can go to Pella, Iowa on Tuesday, go….

I admit I usually skip over the comments you post from those under the Pond, because I seriously think C4P is a parody site.

If those poor folks are being serious however, I really, really, really wish they could post one thing this nut has done since she QUIT her elected position as governor over a state with fewer people in it than Charlotte, NC that convinces them that she is the catalyst for change needed in the WH. Sure, she'd bring about 'change,'alright, but not the way they would want it.

Do they understand just how difficult the job of POTUS is? Being 'purty,' having a litter of kids, being on reality TV, and loudly proclaiming you're a Christian (in name only) aren't serious qualifications to the office.

How long exactly are they going to allow themselves to be strung along hoping that the crazy lady will announce her run for the presidency?

o/t but interesting would explain why Apr 18 Trig looks like May 3rd Trig and current Trig, yet the weight was seemed lower on May 3rd. I am of mind that Trig was indeed born Apr 18th. Preterm or 2 weeks early, I have no comment as there's no hard evidence.

Neonatal weight loss is another issue of concern to nurses and pediatricians. A weight loss of 5% in the first week of life is considered normal for the bottle fed infant. A loss of 7% is average in the first week for the breastfed infant, 10% is the absolute maximum (Lawrence and Lawrence 397-398). If the baby loses 7% in the first 72 hours, breastfeeding should be observed by a trained professional for proper technique and milk transfer. If the baby is nursing well, appears otherwise healthy, and has appropriate stooling patterns another weight check should be scheduled in two days. See Is baby getting enough?

    Why Do Babies Lose Weight?

There are several theories about why neonates lose weight. The most common theory is that babies are born with extra weight to help with the stress caused by labor and the transition to extrauterine life. Also the extra fat stores are there because mother's mature milk does not come in for 3-5 days.

The use of I.V. fluids in labor causes a large shift of fluid from the mother to the fetus especially when D5W or Lactated Ringer's is used (Keppler). In cases of maternal gestational diabetes, IDDM, or women who have received large amounts of IV fluids in labor, it is important to be aware that the birth weight may be inflated by excessive fluid stores in the infant. The infant's initial weight loss may be greater than 10% maximum due to surplus fluid loss.

Romney 23%, Bachmann 22%, where is Sarah Palin? She must be counting on her fans gaming the polls and the voting to nominate her by sheer force of prayer, bypassing the debates, the appearances on Sunday morning talk shows and actually doing any hard work.

    The Fundamentalists Are Pimping Jesus

Jesus is for sale; everywhere in America, in every community, in newspapers, television, radio and Internet. Fundamentalist Christians are selling their version of an illiterate first century Galilean peasant to anyone who’ll buy but they seem no more interested in his life and teachings than Paul of Tarsus. All that matters is that he’s dead. Hail to the king, baby. The king is dead. Love live the king.

The question “What would Jesus say?” comes immediately to mind. Dead celebrities sell, but Jesus could not have expected the media blitz that followed, or how valuable a commodity he would become. Hollywood has never pushed a hot sexpot starlet like the fundamentalists push Jesus. Try him, you’ll like him!

Granted, Jesus was friendly with prostitutes but I doubt he expected to be made one himself, and that is exactly what he has become for fundamentalist pastors, pundits, and tax exempt organizations across the country. The question seems not to be “What would Jesus say?” but rather “How much can we get for him?”

Demonstrably, it’s not all that important anymore what Jesus actually said or thought. When was the last time you heard any of these talking heads mention the beatitudes? Probably not recently; love and compassion don’t sell in modern fundamentalism.

I have worked in TV and film my entire adult life, and I taught screenwriting for two semesters at a film school. I even wrote film reviews for a small website briefly, though my film professor at university might not appreciate knowing that as he was none too impressed with my failure to repeat the opinions of wiser critics. I actually got the worst grade I ever got in my entire college career in film history class. Still. I’ve worked on indie features and studio blockbusters. I’ve worked on projects of love (read no money) and commercial ventures. I’ve worked with talentless clowns and brilliant artists.

And I have never seen anything like this. Just never.

It’s been likened to a soap opera, but the silly seriousness and unavoidable pretension of the “cause” bring “Courage” to a new level of smarmy drama.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. These palin lemmings, with their inane, unabashed stupidity, are a sad commentary on the state of mental health services across the country. Surely we can do better, but why bother spending money trying to fix stupid?

Donate five bucks to Obama's campaign to "be there in spirit", it'll help get them the help they so desperately seek.

Do they really believe that "showing up" without buying tickets will forward their doomed cause?

I hope the reporters who show up are not Fox News. They'll surely overestimate the number of attendees to this "Audacidy of Dope" rally.

As one documentary about Sarah Palin - Undefeated - is set to debut Tuesday, a more critical look at the former Vice Presidential candidate is making the rounds, looking for a distributor.

    http://caucuses.desmoinesregister.com/2011/06/26/theres-still-room-for-more-candidates-poll-indicates/

The poll asked respondents whether they had a favorable or unfavorable impression of several prominent Republicans in addition to those now in the running for president. Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann has the highest net favorability among those listed, rating at plus-53 points. (Net favorability subtracts those who view a candidate unfavorably from those who view the candidate favorably). She is followed by former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty at plus-45 points.

But some noncandidates did well. Perry ranks next at plus-35, and Christie follows at plus-31.

Wisconsin’s Paul Ryan, the budget-cutting congressman, has a net favorability of plus-25.

Sarah Palin, the former vice presidential nominee and Alaska governor, continues to polarize. Fifty-eight percent view her favorably, but 37 percent view her unfavorably, for a plus-21 spread.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani also divides respondents sharply, with a net of plus-1.

Wasn't fall 07 the most serious time for B and L? Why didn't they attend school dances together? Or is Bristol's account correct? Was Levi THAT anti school that he never attended events? That makes sense. Staying in school for hockey, attracting the complete opposite girls. It really does sound like bristol was swept into the stereotypical high school life quickly and lived for thrills. But it also seems that she now realizes that was the basis for her huge mistakes. Thats why I think the book was worth writing. The more these teen girl types speak up about and repent their pasts, maybe things will change.

This is interesting. The Pella Christian High School has been running a "Presidential Series" for a couple of months. Seems like Pella is used to having the GOP candidates come to visit. An invitation was extended to Palin, according to the article. Looks like she wanted to visit Pella, but didn't want to face the "structured Q&A" that the other candidates agreed to.

The first thing that's wrong with the new documentary glorifying former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is the title.

"The Undefeated" profiles Palin's rise as a national heroine to the tea party, but it fails to mention that she's actually been defeated. Setting aside the 2008 presidential race when her party's ticket did not claim the White House, Palin lost a 2002 GOP primary for lieutenant governor.

The flick, set to debut Tuesday in the small town of Pella, Iowa, is a flattering portrait of Palin as someone unafraid to take on her own party's bosses. There's little doubt Palin, who did not participate in production of "The Undefeated," will be pleased with the final result. But it's not a good film.

Well, first there are all of the complementary tickets given to the director, producer, Palin and local government muck mucks to give to their friends. Then there are the tickets the journalists and media buy to cover the event since Palin is supposed to show up and scatter a little word salad, plus there is the actual movie to review. And the free food. So what is left for the rest of the public? 25 tickets?

Choosing a small venue is a really smart idea. If it is anywhere near to sold out, it will look very good on video and print. And then can say over a 1,000 people were there by showing a portion of the packed house. And they can LIE about how many people were turned away at the door.

Plus they can add some (non-palin-in-person) showings for the late-comers and disappointed commoners who don't have any connections or know anyone to get the golden tickets.

She's also got a serious ethics problem, and she's sessionist, who hates America!

Most people didn't give a damn when $arah Palin met those world leaders from other countries, and her speeches were not well received by people who are smart. Most people still think she's an idiot, and not qualified to be POTUS. $arah Palin met most of those world leaders in 2008, during her "field trip" to the U.N. They were photo-ops. She didn't talk to them about anything serious. Oh, and Margaret Thatcher doesn't want anything to do with $arah Palin.

$arah Palin can barely speak english, and she refuses to give interviews with people who won't give her the questions in advance. Because she can't answer tough questions. She's stupid and lazy. I checked out the newspapers in Pella - Pella Cronicle and Towncrier News - nothing! No article about her comin' to town; nothing listed under movies showing; nothing under events.

Somebody might tell Palin that there doesn't seem to be any Pella fanfare waitin' to cheer her on - unless Bannon and Paylin is paying locals to stand on the street.

There has to be money in it for Sarah somewhere.

  132. In spite of the name of this 'film', Sarah is feeling defeated and deeply conflicted. She doesn't want to attend the premier and probably announced that Todd would go with her without even discussing it with him first. There's trouble brewing in Wasilla.

Sarah can drag out the coming blow-up or do herself and everyone a favor and just let it all go now. The sooner it blows, the sooner she and her family can start over...out of politics. On/around June 30/July 1 (the premiere is close enough) would work just fine. Or she can be obstinate, dig in her heels and prolong the agony.

I think it would feel horrible to have supported Palin for so long, defended her and placed one's trust in her words presently twisting in the breeze if she will run.

I believe her supporters have tirelessly gone to bat for the Palin family even compromising their principals so Palin run for POTUS.

C4P anticipated DWTS to ignite love of Bristol paving the path to the oval office for Sarah. Hence they voted like crazy as if a win for Bristol would guarantee a presidency.

You forgot Sarah's other major accomplishments:

1.) She wore push-up bras to get the town council to vote the way Sarah wanted.
2.) She oversaw the building of the $26 million "Road to Nowhere", which was supposed to connect to the Bridge to Nowhere, had the road built even after Sarah knew that the Bridge to Nowhere would not be constructed, and thus the road went literally - nowhere.
3.) She left the small town of Wasilla in over $20 million debt, even though the town had little or no debt when Sarah took Mayorship.
4.) She made the irrational and irresponsible decision to do the "Wild Ride" and fly from Texas to Alaska after her amniotic fluid had started leaking in the wee hours, while still down in Texas, avoiding hospitals all the way.
5.) She QUIT her governorship half way through her term.

THESE accomplishements far outshine whatever feeble accolades you try to give her.

Hell, her crowds are nowhere near as large or diverse as a local cover band's!

"So is Sarah taking her ex-husband Todd along?"

If he's not off playing with his buddies, harassing people Sarah hates, getting massages, or recruiting hookers, maybe.

If anyone wants a good laugh, take a quick visit to c4p...some poor fool is desperately begging everyone to GO TO PELLA, IOWA. I'm guessing he's thinking people are really going to drive a thousand miles to some podunk town in the middle of nowhere so they can...do what, exactly? Press their noses against the windows and peep in at an event they weren't invited to?

Yeah, this is going to draw about the same number of people who swore to jump off a bridge or something for Palin last July.

Sarah is probably hopin' by showin' up in the middle of nowhere, she can avoid them big-city elitists askin' tough questions like "What did you learn today?" or "Where's Trig?"

Listen for Sarah to say the followin' as she panders to the Iowans, speaks in a fake country twang, eats barbeque, and drops her g's:

    y'all
    shootin' varmints
    I'm a farmer in Alaska!
    pickup truck
    I love corn!
    livin' off the land
    has anybody seen Todd?
    "Pella"--great name for a kid!

OK...visited C4P...ugh. It is interesting, though, that the new post is telling the bots NOT to attend. ; ) Wonder if someone got a call from the SnowSnookie herself?

This could become a cult film like The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Her fans could costume themselves as snow machiners w/porn stache, disgruntled tweens, Bristle before and after, RAM, not to mention Lou Sarah.
Witch doctors and faith healing would open the show.
