Perhaps the best review of "The Rogue" so far. And a little additional information from me.

Courtesy of The Star:

Weighing in at 318 pages, The Rogue isn’t merely an act of character assassination — it is one long, hard, steel spike through the political heart of Sarah Palin.

Whatever remote chance remained that the conservative firebrand might one day end up in the White House is poised to unravel Tuesday, when the controversial Joe McGinniss book hits stores.

Put aside the jaw-dropping allegations of cocaine and adultery. Forget about the claim Palin and former NBA player Glen Rice had a one-night tryst back in 1987, when she was a single young reporter and he was a university basketball player. And never mind the insider accounts of the almost Biblical vengeance Sarah and Todd Palin visited upon enemies, real or perceived, during the march from Wasilla, Alaska, to where they reside today, at the astronomically high-paying intersection of Washington and Hollywood.

The Sarah Palin portrayed in The Rogue is nothing short of a born-again hypocrite — and one so self-obsessed, yet so utterly unaware of herself, as to not even know it.

I quite literally JUST finished reading my copy, and will have a comprehensive review for you on Monday.

What I will say is that Joe McGinnis did NOT shy away from "babygate" as so many have claimed.

In fact he did a remarkable job of sticking his neck out to make sure that the widest possible audience would hear Palin's ridiculous story of the "pregnancy." As well as her version of the Wild Ride to her fake delivery at Mat-Su Regional hospital. Not to mention how few people living up here in Alaska believe her version of events.

Joe did a great service to ALL of us, as well as to Fred whose book will essentially take up where "The Rogue" leaves off.

In other words, to borrow a phrase that I first heard used somewhere else, GAME ON!

Geez Gryphen, with that review how am I ever going to wait until tues for my kindle copy! I think the difference between Bailey's book ( I did not buy it, but read a friends) is that a "rill amurikan" author of standing wrote it and I can hardly wait! I could barely drag myself through Bailey's book, but know I love the way Joe writes.

I seriously think that McCain and his team should be made to answer for putting this insane woman within reach of the WH. Is this how republicans "vet" candidates for high office? As far as I am concerned, McCain was a traitor in Viet Nam, and named "Songbird" but putting insane Sarah in the VP slot was also a traitorous act. He was so determined to be president that he would have put Jeffrey Dahmer in the VP slot, if necessary. He should be made to answer for putting the country through this nightmare of the Palin family.

Just a few more days and we will all be able to read the book. Then Levi's book, then Fred's book. By the way, any update that you can share with the release date for Fred's book? A few days back you wrote that you would have an update in the near future.

The American people are finally REALLY interested in knowing the TRUTH already! Joe's book exposes Palin's sleazy side, and the fact that people in Wasilla seem to be controlled and bullied by the Palin family. Palin is in no way qualified to be POTUS, and whether or not she will try to turn all of this around, continue to spin and manipulate people into believing that she has high Christian morals, is something we will now get to see.

The question people seem to be seeking answers to is CREDIBILITY! Many sources in McG book seem to be anonymous, and I can certainly understand their reluctance to try to come forward and speak out. WHY are these people so afraid? Have they been so intimidated by bullying and fear tactics of the Palins? This is what the voters throughout America need to really check out for themselves and vote accordingly when considering what ALL of these Repub candidates for POTUS are all about.

Here's what I find fascinating...the beltway press and the MSM are defending her, (they have to attempt to protect their 'cash cow' before she's truly put out to pasture, but they maintain the same old 'dung' painting her a victim, instead of a predator), but her GOP colleagues haven't said a word. I don't watch FOX so I have no idea how they are handling it, but unless that changes on the mainstream Sunday shows, it seems that they are letting her hang out to dry. She blew her wad, she's dead in the political water. Thank GOD.

The thing that's so funny to me about BabyGate is that it is Palin's own words that damn her, even more than the photos.

I mean, the way her story started out insane and then changed in VERY important ways every time she told it after that (that's what she gets for thinking a "no microphones" rule would actually keep her speeches from sneaking out) just points to her either having some sort of early onset dementia, or being a very bad liar.

...And the fact that the changes in her story corresponded exactly with criticisms leveled at it from blogs like this one pretty much rule out the dementia angle.

To be honest though, while the barrage of books is exciting, what I'm REALLY pining for is closure from $arah herself:

Is she going to announce her pretend run, or is she going to crush the hopes and dreams of her followers?

I'm betting she WILL announce, just for that reason. It's a hell of a choice though. Either destroy herself, or be destroyed by the media. At least if she's destroyed by the media, there's a chance she may hang onto just enough of the white male over 50 crowd to sell another book about how mean the media was to her...

    ReplyDelete
  10. Anonymous12:29 PM

What is your sense about how the media will treat the Babygate chapter? Do you think anyone who interviews Joe on the book will actually bring it up? Or will it be up to Joe to point to "chapter 19 in my book where I talk about how this woman is so ambitious and crazy that many of her peers believe she faked a pregnancy"? Speaking of peers, did Joe interview anyone outside of AK to get their take on babygate and/or other issues? Like, Steve Schmidt? Or Megan McCain? Can you at least tell us if he talked to VP campaign people too? That would be delicious.

I want to thank everyone who is pulling back the curtain to show that The Empress is wearing no clothes.

I am so angry and disgusted that someone of such "character" was (IS) holding herself out to be the paragon of virtue...the way, the truth, the light of today's politics...when in realty she is the anti-paragon whose biggest dream is to be a rich celebrity, with as little effort as possible. I am insulted that she thought she could pull it off.

Sarah Palin has had EVERYTHING to do with attracting the deluge of hits that is coming her way in the form of books, movies and articles. She is truly one of the nastiest pieces of work I have ever seen in politics, and she seems to THRIVE on it.

Except it's now catching up with her, turning her into a hapless harridan of epic proportions, visible to the entire world, and simply with her own choices.

She has not hesitated to do all she can to bring down our wonderful president and his wife, disrespect the office of the President, bring on violent actions resulting in deaths and near deaths, and opening the door to the wackjob members of the Tea Party.

She and her minions have spawned C4P, providing a hub of hate and lies for sick minds to gravitate to and gorge on the unholy juices of Sarah Palin.

I have a deep respect for Joe and Gryphen and all the others who were willing to put themselves and their reputations on the line to ferret out the bullshit that has perpetuated the myth of Sarah the mom, wife, candidate, parent...all just lies inside of lies, given free passes by the media narrative.

Well, no more. It took a while, but it IS happening and it ain't gonna be pretty, but it WILL serve the purpose of bringing Sarah down, which is what we've all been wishing for.

Oh sure, she'll still sling shit on facebook and twitter, but just like a monkey flings his shit, after awhile, you just turn away from the putrid odor and find something sweeter to enjoy. Like THE TRUTH.

It is not an exaggeration to say that reading that post made me literally breath a deep sigh of relief.

Not just about JM, because for me if the Wild Ride etc was covered to any extent at all in his book it was going to do damage.

But about all of it. The chance we now finally have to once and for all curtail this woman's ability to meddle in American politics.

Thanks to all who helped in this effort, truly.

99% of the troll posts are by the same two people.

Of those, 99% are Bristol and the other 1% is the troll known as "Brooklyn" due to her posting ISP as Brooklyn, NY.

Bristol thinks that because she posts from an iPad now and it only shows up as "United States", she can't be identified.

WRONG, Bristol. Your unique IP will give you away in the event your 3rd grade writing style doesn't.

Just got home from running errands on a dreary day, and the following portion of the opening sentence cheered me up immeasurably: " . . .it is one long, hard, steel spike through the political heart of Sarah Palin"

May that be true and may it bring this endless, tragic saga of a dysfunctional politico and her family to a quick and relatively painless end.

May she be one of the last hatemongers, polarizing figures for a long, long while.

Oh, I know, we have Bachmann, Newt, and most disturbing of all Rick Perry, but I think they, too will bite the dust as disillusionment spreads amongst those who call themselves Tea Partiers (but are really disturbed reborn John Birchers following the Koch trail).

So glad that there are still two book (Fred's and Levi's) and the documentary still to come! If Joe's work doesn't do her in, surely the next set of revelations will do so.

Being Canadian, I guess I'm more than a little bias but I truly believe that the Canadian media, as compared to their American counterparts, do a more thorough & honest job in presenting the news.

This is why people like Palin, Bachmann, Perry & the like would never be given the credibility that the Amercian press gives them. They would be laughed out of the political arena from the get go.

Looking forward to reading your review of Joe's book, Gyphen. Let's hope the MSM finally wake up and give The Rogue its rightful due. Joe Mcginniss has done the U.S. a great service in writing this book and should be applauded, not scorned.

  24. Thanks Gryphen! Can't wait for your review. I was really disappointed in Keith Olbermann on Bill Maher last night. What the "media" needs to see is the fact that this "woman" almost made it to the second-highest office in America and is about as qualified for this post as Gary Busey is to pilot the Space Shuttle. And the fact that we dodged the V.P. bullet doesn't make us any safer from Sarah and her ilk. Just ask Gabby Giffords . . . So let's hope other pundits and newsfolk will do their jobs and make this a search for TRUTH. After all, Joe McGinniss is one of America's most respected and credible journalists. If Joe says it, even Rich Lowry should "sit up a little straighter," wink or no wink.

What is really fascinating is that the National Enquirer has the chops to really get to the bottom of these 'allegations' as they are calling them, and they are ALL IN, so they will completely back up what all of these authors are saying, stay on top of it, promote it, blast it in 7-11s, grocery stores and convenient stores all over the country...and the world. People will form their own opinions without the input of the ones that are protecting their corporate asses in the media.

I think that it's interesting to compare the handful of negative reviews from here in the U.S. with this one in the Toronto Star. The Star clearly doesn't give a shit about Palin and feels under no obligation to sugar coat their coverage of her. Why some domestic reporters STILL feel like they need to protect or at least downplay criticism of Palin is beyond me. The contrast between our sober, cold eyed Canadian brothers and our own cringing sycophant toadies is rather striking.

Hey, domestic press: you do know that continuing to ignore all of Palin's MANY warts in favor of her bullshit mythology makes you all look like morons, don't you?

Go Canada! Now THERE is a true ally!

It is really quite odd that there's been absolute silence from any of the Palin klan, just a lameass defensive cry from a faked Papa Grizzly statement. Why isn't Sarah on one of her FOX pundits screeches? Why hasn't Greta done a show with her, why hasn't Hannity been sniffing her panties? What is up with the 'Liberal' press coming to her defense, forgetting how she has sullied the political discourse? Why isn't Bristol speaking up? Why aren't her parents speaking up? Why aren't we hearing from Van Flea, from RAM? Where are all these people who 'love' Sarah so much and would stand by her no matter what? Why aren't we hearing from her old 'mouthpiece' Stapleton that left to take care of her own daughter? Why isn't Glenn Beck ranting on his show, instead of hiring a comedian to poke, sorry no pun intended, fun at Sarah's expense? Where's the boisterous outrage from Tammy Bruce? From those DJ's in Alaska? Where's the Ailes/Murdoch pitch to protect their prime investment?

    Yeah, crickets.

She done did herself in. And she has NO ONE to blame but herself, and it looks like she's on her own to fend off the icebergs, and I don't feel one bit sorry for her. Like Jo Dee Messina says - My give a damn's busted:

    Red Hot Sarah

There once was a news girl named Sarah
Whose loins were a burning caldera
'Til a black guy named Rice
    Was able to advise
Her to let him hose off her Sahara.

Then Sarah grew fond of Glen's juice,
But it certainly made her flower loose
So they went back and forth
    Until Sarah went north
And, true to form, started dating a moose!

Now Sarah, the political over achiever
Was able to cool off her Alaskan beaver
    But now we all know
That there's more to her show
'Cause this candidate once had Jungle Fever!

    Later Sarah decided to marry
    Her sweetheart who's quite ordinary
    Now "once you go black
    You never go back"
Is liable to give Todd his first coronary!

  35. Well, isn't it just precious that the majority of the US MSM reviews are pearl-clutching, oh-it's-so-tawdry, while the meaningful, critical thinking ones are from Canada & the UK?

Maybe that's because the Merikin media has a coop-full of egg on their faces. They enabled this crap and now they're being outed & embarrassed by their lack of professional standards, so they have to minimize the truth when it's being told.

Sarah has invited this blowback so any amount of whining is just more of the same victimization. She bought her own media hype and came to believe that she would get away with anything. That it is all catching up with her and she's not the big fish in the little sea of Wasilla, but the little fish in the big sea of public opinion, she ain't likin' that that comes with the good and the bad.

She blew it. She had an amazing opportunity handed to her and she unequivocably BLEW IT. She is responsible for a child being killed in Arizona, she is responsible for a Congresswoman nearly losing her life and fighting for her normalcy again. She is responsible for creating an atmosphere of suspicion, hate, dividing the country into 'rill amerikans' and NOT real americans, she is responsible for the 'dog whistle' of racism, of 'other', of not being like the rest of us crap that she's promoted about our President ad nauseum...all of which is insidious and hateful in and of itself.

She gets no sympathy from me and that she is getting any sympathy instead of rearing up on her Mama Grizzly hind legs and fighting for her reputation is really pathetic.

She sends out a formulated response from her emasculated excuse of an EX husband. If in fact Todd isn't around, but instead is drinking himself into oblivion knowing that he was NOT the first man, nor the last.

That Todd isn't so well endowed according to Shailey's first hand experience, just digs the knife deeper into his insecure, cowardly, bullying, predatory, castrated personality. What a loser he is, riding on his wife's financial coattails, though they are in tatters and stained with the puke of hateful rhetoric and violent imagery.

And he will never be able to forget that his wife knew Mr. Rice in a 'biblical way'.

  44. The current political climate, one that sees an audience cheer for executions and yell out to let someone die who has no insurance, can be traced back to Sarah and her, "paling around with terrorists" lie back in 2008. Since then, she has fomented the gullible fringe who see everything in simplistic black and white terms to say and do things unthinkable in modern day politics. For this alone, she should be banished and ignored, yet the media handles her like she's a rock star, hanging on her every word and following her Tease Trail all over the country. Perhaps the books, especially The Rogue will serve to put the MSM on notice that it is not doing its job and that pandering to a crazed political hack like Palin has set this country back to very dangerous times.

I hope she is totally disgraced like Father Coughlin and Senator Joe McCarthy who also did great damage to the psyche of America.

No one crowds around her anymore, all she remembers is that it as so fabulous to have secret service protection while crowds shouted "Sarah, Sarah!". Now all that's left is a few die hard journalists who will expose the creepy gullibility of the American media. And meanwhile, week after week, she dithers about announcing Presidential bid, proving that she is no more capable of making decision than she was of telling Katie Couric her reading material.

  51. Glad to see this thread is relatively 'troll-free' so far but I guess both of them have their hands full on the earlier articles. Their unfamiliarity with irony is most glaring in that their comments actually appear on G's blog and other anti-paylin websites but sites like C4P accept no remarks from the opposing side. This must give some of them the false impression that no one disagrees with their thoughts.

I was surprised like many others with the negative blowback against McGinnis until I started noticing the family tree of many of the sources --- they link to the Murdoch or Koch funded media. They realize with fear that the exposure of Mrs P may shine a dim light on the others of their chosen persuasion. Bachmann and Perry will still come to closer scrutiny when Paylin is finally exposed as a non-viable candidate and is eliminated from political contention.

In time I pray much of the dominionist house of cards will collapse when the majority of the voting public realizes the inherent danger of mixing politics with radical religion. Palin can then go fishing or hunting or attend a few hockey games or whatever it is that she claims to fill her moments and the rest of us can get down to the business of trying to resolve the real problems facing this Nation.

WHY are these people so afraid?

c'mon - the guy that delivered the chairs to McGinnes had his truck windows shot out THAT NIGHT.

People's dogs got killed, houses were burned down and more.

The Palins have a long history of brutal retaliation for imagined slights. No person in their right mind wants to deal with insane people.

Todd is just as crazy as Sarah. That's why he beat up a child and almost killed him. He easily could have killed him. No regrets....nothing in his stupid statement that said "I'm sorry".

He could have greeted the author with a glass of wine and a howdy do, but he didn't. He greeted him with threats and bragged of his political position that would allow him to get away with any action he might take.

There is nothing normal about this family...any of 'em, ALL of 'em.

People SHOULD be afraid. THANK GOD McInsane was not elected. I have no doubt, he'd be dead now if he was.

For those IM readers interested in astrology, here's a fun fact for our dear Sarah Palin. As of yesterday, September 16, Pluto reversed its retrograde course and is now moving direct for the first time since April. Along with this comes two major themes: truth and transparency.

In other words, that explosive secret you're hiding, Sarah....yeah, it probably won't remain a secret too much longer. The universe has another plan.

@Crystal Sage, I agree with you, but the "gullible fringe" have spilled over into conservative populism. Mob Mentality. I guaranty that those conservative, well-dressed people would never have thought to yell "Yeah!!!" to Blitzer's "should he die?" question in 2007, they wouldn't have whistled and cheered Rick Perry's death toll, Joe Wilson wouldn't have shouted "You Lie!!", and possibly neither Arizona nor Oslo would have happened.

Sociologists study and warn of mob mentality, often using the Hitler reign and the phenomenon that neighbors would turn in neighbors, even friends, co-workers and extended family members would turn on each other. The un-American-by-location meme, the poor-are-robbing-us-blind, the "union thug" label attached now to kindergarten teachers, nurses, fire fighters... It's reached mainstream conservative normalcy, and it horrifies me.

The Koch's think tanks, as well as Dick Armey and others, are staffed with brilliant sociologists, they recognized the perfect storm: the fear the economic melt-down created, the hate a black President flamed, and their accidental happy surprise? A female VP candidate, wrapped in the flag & carrying a bible, who was willing to go to any lengths to test how far was "too far". Palin proved how ripe the time was for division, it probably shocked the hell out of them how far political correctness could fall. They capitalized on it, the Tea Party was born, and the true Palin legacy for this country will be felt for years.

Hopefully their local news can get a press release to national news organizations that should be taken seriously. Not like what was done with the shoddy coverge of the original story. MSM is a joke.

When do you think Sarah started thinking that pulling her marathon hoax was a bad idea? Is she so arrogant that when she realized she couldn't run the marathon she had signed up for, she chose to pretend she did instead of pullnout of the race. Heck, it appears it worked before, why would she stop?

I am an Alaskan and have family that lives in the valley. The folks I talk to either really don't give a damn about S.P. at all so sick are they of all things Palin, or they are embarrassed about discussing such concepts, or they think Palin is a crazy bitch and capable of anything.

But of course, I don't talk to those Church of God Palin supporters who think she's God's anointed. And while there is a significant amount of those types in Wasilla, Wasilla is a small town. Alaskans in general are totally over Palin - if for nothing else than quitting. Real Alaskans hate quitters of any kind.

Some have asked why are people in Wasilla still afraid to speak out against the Palins. The answer to that one is because so many of her sycophants are still holding the offices that she appointed them in. So if you call the cops, or try to find some records down at the mayor's office, etc. etc., you just might find yourself on the receiving end of difficulties created by the vindictive "friends" whose controlling the paperwork, permit, complaint, etc.

    Levi on TV next week:

    Dr. Phil
    Tuesday, September 20

Feuding Almost In-Laws with Levi Johnston
During the 2008 presidential election, Levi Johnston was thrust into the national spotlight as the boyfriend of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol. The attention toward the young couple escalated when Bristol became pregnant. In the media, Johnston was portrayed as the sweet-faced 18-year-old teen set to marry into Sarah Palin’s happy family. But Levi says the moment the election wrapped and their son, Tripp, was born, the Palins grew distant. He and Bristol called off their engagement, and she later published a book criticizing Levi as a father. Now, two years since their breakup, the 21-year-old dad tells his side of the story in his new memoir, Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs. Dr. Phil sits down with Levi to discuss the highly-anticipated book and his soured relationship with the Palins. What’s the latest in this political soap opera? And, find out why Levi says Bristol’s claims about his fathering skills couldn’t be any farther from the truth.

    Hello Palin Fans,

Please help me understand an indelible and chilling image that I have of Mrs. Todd Palin during the 2008 election. Mrs. Palin was at a rally and some in the crowd were yelling, "Kill him, kill him." These Palin fans were of course referring to the demise of Mr. Obama. In response, Mrs. Palin maintained a smug and smiling smirk on her face, instead of requesting the offenders to cease.

Please help me understand Mrs. Palin's position and why it was appropriate.

I do have a comment to make and I really would like to maybe send this comment to the "news" networks, the "news"papers, any source calling this book a hit piece. You see, we have endured 3 long years of a HIT PIECE on our President by this evil mouth - Sarah Heath Palin. And the media has not only allowed it but in most cases, perpetuated it! They have no INTEGRITY. Remember that word? Well, it is a seldom used word these days because it is so seldom seen. I am sick of any time someone reports the truth about Sarah they are accused of hate, of writing a hit piece. I hope this is a stake through her political career; too bad it can't be a stake through the heart because she is evil and sometimes that is the only way to get rid of it!

Now, it has been a long time since I made this request from you: you let me know when I can finally pop that cork on the champagne!

You all DO realize that no matter if Sarah had brought her children onstage on Sept 3 2008 (as ALL candidates have done) or not, there would have still been massive amounts of press, gossiping and snooping. Don't deny it.

Even when Bristol desperately tried to stay on the DL and raise her child (or have Todd raise him) bloggers wouldnt stop putting their noses where they don't belong.

Sarah is the creation of the media, legit and fluff. In 2007, she was mercilessly attacked by Alaskan radio and legis. opponents. In late 08, that spectrum broadened. Once the election was over and Sarah was flitting around on government business up until Tripp's birth, the media followed.

She's just fascinating. If even a biased man like Joe M can say she's a phenomenon and not just say, "I want to end my career with a piece of trash," that means something.

No one understands that Sarah is nothing new. She's just the precedent to having people obsess over her so greatly that it's become a sickness. In reality, there will always be careerminded, ambitious, ruthless folk. Sarah is not the precedent in this arena. She's not even the worst there is.

To stray from Sarah a bit, people in this country seem to be immensely jealous of successful people. Most republican politicians have elaborate, established careers. Most democrats are career politicians. Obama isn't even that. That wasn't a dig, it's the truth. Democrats have the MSM in their pockets and always have. It's coming to a time when we have got to stop trying to cause opponents personal destruction and actually vet our leaders. We cannot allow inexperienced people to attain power, especially when he (they) fucked over good people to get it (cough Obama cough)

Why is there a double standard? idk and we'll probably never know.

These books will lose steam in about a week and life will continue.

We will still have a lying President, an angry, lazy Congress, ignorant koolaid drinkers on both sides, and a crashing economy.

I have to say I'm surprised at S. Moore

She offered up a rendition to the crew at the flats of her "reluctance" (childhood gone affect) at having to denigrate Mr. McGuiness.

Judging by the syntax and typos she is not as bright as I thought. Or most likely she was drunk- or both.

Nothing like twisting the knife after dipping it in syrup huh Shannyn?

What disgusts me- is IT''s ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

    From Author S. Moore...

"I’m sure Joe’s book will show Sarah for who she is. I’m trying not to
say “It takes one to know one” here. By releasing the draft manuscript
of Frank Bailey, Ken Morris and Jeanne Devon, he’s shown himself to be
    more like his subject.
I don’t think they are that different.

    Money. Loyalty tests. Vendettas.

Please realize how hard this is. Joe McGinniss has stayed in my home, helped my daughter with her homework and
made me laugh like no other. His phone number is stored as “Larry David”
on my cell phone. We had one of the best weekends of my entire life in
Alaska last summer. Driving the 220 miles to my hometown of Homer, I
explained to him the detailed caution of porcupine copulation. Visiting
my folks, his kindness towards my mother and a trip to Halibut Cove on
    my pop’s boat.

That night, we drank fantastic scotch, talked about life’s regrets
which included missed opportunities for cannibalization, spent the night
and in the morning, after fresh eggs, stood at the grave of a dear
friend of mine he’d met in the 70′s while researching Going to
Extremes. Watching soccer with him was religious. I introduced him to
Oxford Fall’s “Wake Up Crabby” Bloody Mary Mix and shucked countless
Kachemak Bay Oysters. These silly details seemed part of a sacred
    friendship.

    I was played.

While I watch a the investment of almost two years by three people
evaporate because of his fear, I still find myself mourning Joe."

I understand the belief that there were possibly documents purposefully destroyed but what could be in the church files that wouldn't be filed with the county's vital statistic's office or in legal documents.

FYI, in case it is different in other places, I live in New Orleans and all birth records, marriage and death records are in what is called the vital statistic department for each parish.

" So SP was preg 6 months after that 1-nite stand with GR. "

Excellent observation which Palin's lapdogs in the media didn't pick up.
Just a few months after Glen Rice was visiting
    the glory hole,
the sainted Palin became pregnant , out of wedlock ,
    with her first child.
    I purposefully didn't say Todd's child
because of the Curtis Menard Jr
    paternity speculation.
Palin has the morals of an alley cat .
Logic and common sense would dictate that the three men we know about
are not the only ones Palin serviced.

    @4:55 PM

$arah Palin bringing her children on stage is beside the point. She is a bad mother because she has encouraged media snooping and gossiping about her whole family. She made her family a campaign issue in 2008. Everybody doesn't do that.

If $arah Palin had quietly gone back to Alaska after her 2008 LOSS, and not quit her job, and become the grifting, attention-whoring Paris Hilton of politics caricature, while stringing people along with a possible fake future presidential run, none of this would be happening. That moron had no business even running. Within a few short weeks she proved that she was in over her head.

Bri$tol has never tried to raise her kids on the DL. Only months after Tripp was born, she was running around doing interviews with him in her arms. She also dragged him along on her failed book tour, and has posed on the covers of numerous magazines with him. Recently, she has been filming a "reality" t.v. show with him, that no one will watch. Bri$tol Palin expoilts Tripp to make money.

$arah Palin, the perpetual victim! There is a list of people that $arah Palin has mercifully attacked over the years, but they are not whining. $arah Palin is an annoying shrew who loves it when the idiot media chases her around.

Even a trainwreck can be a phenomenon. Snooki is a phenonmenon. This book about a piece of trash will not end Joe M's career. Keep dreaming.

$arah Palin is not the "precedent to having people obsess over her." If people were really obsessed with that idiot, she would be surrounded by a 1,000 paparazzi's. $arah Palin may not be the worst, but she is near the top.

I could smell the Obama bashing coming, before I even finished reading your asinine post. When it comes to career politicians, Barack Obama has held elected office longer than $arah Palin has. Barack Obama's career is more established than $arah Palin's. He's more accomplished, also.

The democrats do not have the MSM is their pockets. Wealthy republcans own all the major news networks, republicans also outnumber democrats on t.v. and on talk radio. So, you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. $arah Palin has done but try to cause her opponents personal destruction. Not long ago evil bitch said she was on a mission to make sure Barack Obama is one-term president. And. $arah Palin wasn't vetted, FYI.

But, you are right. We can't allow inexperienced to attain power. That's why Americans will make sure $arah Palin never gets anywhere near the White House, unless she's getting a tour. Thanks to people like Joe M., soon people will get to learn how many people $arah Palin fucked over to obtain power.

I am not jealous of $arah Palin. I, like many, want her taken down, because she is hateful bitch! Why would I be jealous of some cartoon character quitter, who attended 5, or 6 colleges, is hated by many, and is an international punchline?

Gee, I don't know. Why is there a double-standard? Why do pristine white republican women like $arah Palin get away with such bad behavior, while others like Bill Clinton, John Edwards, Anthony Weiner, and Tiger Woods, etc., do not?

"These books will lose steam in about a week and life will continue."

That's o.k. Because $arah Palin already lost steam a long time ago.

"We will still have a lying President, an angry, lazy Congress, ignorant koolaid drinkers on both sides, and a crashing economy."

And we will still have a lying, angry, lazy, grifting, psychopathic, $arah Palin still poisoning the country with her vitriol. And we still have ignorant Palin kool-aid drinkers (cough-like you-cough)still trying to defend this stupid woman on this blog, while our President tries to fix the fucked economy he inherited from G.O.P. assholes!

You are an annoying broken record. Fuck off.

Me again from the Nick Broomfield thread posted...

Hello all. I'm finally home and couldn't be more thrilled. I'm re-acclimating, finishing some things for work, unpacking, and so on. Very much looking forward to collaborating with Gryphen this coming week.

I just wanted to drop a few notes because SO much has been going on. Sarah is in an acutely manic state and I think her mind must be like a pressure cooker these days. Todd did NOT know about the Rice incident and Sarah had no idea it would ever come up again. (hardy har har, I said "come up again" ;)

Anyway, Todd is PISSED. Way more so at Sarah than Joe. Todd also was not at all pleased with the "statement" Sarah's team put out. (penned by Rebecca Mansour) They didn't even run it by Todd before sending it out. He was very angry, saying not only did it not sound like him at all, but that all people were going to get out of it is "I make my wife mow the lawn".

Much more to say on these issues about what is and will be coming out in books and other avenues, but that's for another day.

One thing I just found out over the weekend--I was asking my person from Sarah's circle why the hell I'd heard about Willow tooling around in a seventy thousand dollar SUV. Last I knew, Sarah and Todd were determined not to have another PR fiasco courtesy of Willow and were really trying to toe the line with her...including telling her she needed to get a job if she wanted a car. They said if she saved a certain percentage they would foot the rest. (I guess that's "toeing the line" in the land of Palin)

Well miss Willow decided to play dirty, probably because that's all she sees everyone else in her family doing. She basically demanded the use of her vehicle of choice "or else". Todd called her bluff--"or else what?"

Turns out Willow came up with a pretty grown up threat. "I bet lots of people would be interested to hear whose purse I really found an ultrasound picture in".

I think Bristol's Trig pregnancy might have been "outed" very late, and by Willow who was snooping through Bristol's purse.

  140. The publicity for this book has been nothing short of brilliant. Everything that has been mentioned from the book so far is scurrilous but not illegal. We all know what brings up the interest level, that's right, the scurrilous parts. Once that is out of the way we can start on the legal ethics of Sarah Palin. Why is it that I believe she will eventually be prosecuted for every single thing she did that was against the law? .....and her entire "Palin Camp" too. She has changed the culture of elections in this country and has made us a laughing stock around the world.

The media is evolving. There's a role reversal going on between bloggers and journalists....

It's now bloggers and authors who are committing their time, analyzing complex issues, forming the big picture, and presenting real investigative news. They're starting to fill the massive void created by craven mainstream news outlets that have abandoned traditional journalism.

Nowadays, news shows are politically opinionated blogs geared for quick profits. The shows race each other to dish out heaping portions of empty-calorie fodder for the masses - oceans of superficial, sensational minutia. The only strategy employed is to do whatever it takes to get the audience to tune in and stay tuned in. And, chasing the trends to get better ratings does not mean doing better journalism.

No!! I don't feel sorry for them one bit. Think of this as an "opportunity" for them to grow and change and get educated and therapy. If that doesn't work, think of that little girl, last named Green from Arizona, bleeding to death. If that doesn't work, picture the crosshairs on Gabby Gifford's district. Think of the Palins bullying that lady in Homer. Think of all the times Sarah has recounted her birth story with Tri-G and how gullible people lapped it up like cream .Think of the tray of cookies she brought to the freezing starving natives Alaskans. Think of the Louis Vitton bags and $1000 faux glasses and all the plastic surgery. Think of Sarah outing Britta's & Track's wedding to People magazine and then lo and behold Britta's really pregnant before marriage, in an abstinence only family values family! I could literally go on for hours but hopefully you get my point. I for one and enjoying every moment of schadenfreude. Even if Sarah commits the most selfish act and kills herself, I will not feel sorry for her. Rather, I will be angry at her and all the people in her life: family, friends, admirers, hangers on-ers and GOP members who have enabled her all these years, didn't get her the help she really needed, and stood by as she self destructed.

I have absolutely ZERO sympathy for Sarah Palin. Everything that is happening to her is a direct result of her own words, actions, and attitudes over the last 3 years. While I don't care who slept with whom, these revelations underscore and reinforce what we already know about SP. She is a loud-mouthed, ignorant, hateful, bible-thumping hypocrite who has muddied political discourse in this country. Of course, she's not alone in muddying political waters, since she is in company with the likes of Limbaugh, Beck, and others.

She is reaping a very bitter harvest from the divisiveness and general ugliness that she has spewed on the national scene since 2008, and her political demise cannot come soon enough.

I noticed that the GOP is distancing itself from her at this time, but that party in general and John McCain in particular, have a whole lot to answer for to Americans for foisting this clueless, hateful, and no-class banshee on us.
