Happy Birthday Mr. President!

I just wanted to take a moment to say happy birthday to one of the best presidents we have had in this country, and perhaps the BEST one we have had in my lifetime.

Let's give him the birthday gift of helping him to keep his job for four more years, shall we?

And you can help by visiting here.

P.S. The Republicans used the President's birthday as an opportunity to take a political shot at him, but instead demonstrated a rather startling lack of comprehension:

The Republican National Committee (RNC) yesterday sent President Barack Obama a cake for his birthday, and inscribed on it, “You Didn’t Bake This,” a reference to the President’s comments that success is mutually attained.

Of course, the President didn’t bake that cake — obviously — and in stating the obvious, the RNC both endorsed the President’s vision, and proved themselves, well, ignorant in the humor department.

Okay seriously, HOW do these people keep winning elections?

Of course the RNC fucked up. They are all idiots and
can't even wish the POTUS of the United States of America a Happy Birthday!

How UN-American is that? And the leader of the Pac is Stoopid Sarah who with her ignorant hillbilly racial bigotry "the pied piper of H8" brought out every ignorant racist pig from under every rock in '08!

The good thing is stoopid sarah recently dissed Darth Cheney...heh! Her life isn't worth a plug nickle now...

Sarah's mouth was bound to get her in trouble sooner or later. She has spewed so much hate, not to mention lie after lie after lie... Well, that might fool the "low information" voters, but it's not going to sit well with the GOP. Up until now, they've tolerated her... but now that she's pretty much given the middle finger to Cheney... her days as a "political commentator" (or whatever she's calling herself) are indeed numbered.

This is astonishing in its abject emptiness. Like so much of uber-conservative rhetoric it means nothing at every level. It's not even funny in a dark way, say for example, like "Kiss my ass. This is a holy place.", courtesy of an official Rmoney campaign court jester.

When anger seethes so deeply that even humor is impenetrable - as is apparently the right wing hatred for our president - perhaps the source isnt external hatred for a Black man in the White House at all, but some sort of twisted right wing self-loathing.

At first I thought it was some crazy reference to Romney's foot-in-the-mouth comment when offered cookies in a primary state and immediately told the hostesses: "You didn't make these." Scolding them for getting out of the kitchen.

Yes, happy birthday to the best and most hopeful, and not to mention the most intelligent president this country has had, since, oh I don't know, 1992-2000. We suffered through the 'dark ages' of Bush II. People and fellow patriots, let's not do that again.

"Okay seriously, HOW do these people keep winning elections?" The answer lies in your earlier post on education. Stupid people are easily fooled.

Boy, I sure hope the White House had this cake checked out. I don't trust the Republicans for a nano-second. I find it interesting that there are all sorts of tv ads right now that extoll the people behind the people, which is of course exactly what President Obama was talking about when his words were taken totally out of context.

Happy Birthday, Mr. President. I celebrated by making a contribution to the Obama/Biden campaign!

Shit yeah happy birthday! Check out HuffPo! Sheldon Adelson -- one of the biggest donors to Romney's campaign (after his dog in the race, Newt, petered out -- is under investigation. The GOP will say that Obama did this for political reasons, but, really, who would you rather be, the guy accused of using the DOJ for revenge -- which no one but crazies is going to believe -- or the guy having to answer questions about whether you're going to return the millions and millions that this guy had given to you and your Super PAV while also facing questions about influence peddling and whether you're being bribed to have the DOJ look the other way?

Our political campaigns are ridiculously, disgustingly expensive. I had vowed to stop contributing (I'm unemployed) until the final few weeks before the election and then to focus on Emily's List pro-choice congressional candidates...but I caved and just sent $51 to the Obama campaign.

    Happy Birthday, Mr. President!

Thank you on behalf of all Americans. I'm serious; it's essential that we the "little people" do all that we can to oust every Republican from every position and to keep them all as far away from Washington, D.C., and state capitols as humanly possible.

Happy HAPPY Birthday, Mr. President! Your intelligence, eloquence, and perseverance through the blatant racism that you knew you'd face if elected has out shown everyone ONE of your detractors.

And I'm quite sure that whoever DID bake it also: grew, harvested and ground the wheat to make the flour,
raised and processed the cane for the sugar,
raised the chickens for the eggs,
dug a well for the water,
mined the aluminum for the pan and mixing spoons,
dug the clay for the oven bricks,
grew the trees for the fire and the cardboard box,
built the roads that they walked on to deliver it to the White House.....

Can't they put aside their seething hatred of the man for ONE FREAKIN' DAY?????

Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein is the lastest Hollywood figure to plan a high-profile fundraiser for President Obama. Weinstein will hold a $35,000-per-person dinner at his Westport, Conn. home on Monday, Aug. 6.

The Rethugs, using Romney's own words to his supporters "you didn't bake these cookies," so very original. Thinking that equaled their out of context & facts lies.

    More than clueless.

Happy, Happy Birthday Mr. President! You're awesome & we're going to re-elect you.
