"Yeah I didn't want your stupid President job anyhow. Besides my house is TWICE as big as the White House!" |
“He wanted to be president less than anyone I’ve met in my life. He had no desire to . . . run,” said Tagg, who worked with his mother, Ann, to persuade his father to seek the presidency. “If he could have found someone else to take his place . . . he would have been ecstatic to step aside.
Oh please! Mitt Romney, the guy that has been planning to run for the Presidency his entire adult life, and ran in both 2008 and 2012, DIDN'T want to be the President?
The guy who was so arrogantly assured that he WOULD be President, that he didn't even bother to write a concession speech, instead only having an acceptance speech written, did NOT want to be President?
The guy that was SO devastated by the fact that he lost the election that he spent the weeks directly afterward moping around the country like a hobo with a broken heart did not WANT the job of President?
Seriously?
how fucking stupid does this family think the American people are?
Oh yeah, they think they are stupid enough to have actually elected Mitt Romney as President of the United States, THAT'S how stupid they think we are!
This is the kind of thing that a school boy says after he challenges somebody to a foot race and loses. "Yeah I didn't want to win anyway! If I had, I would have totally beat you!"
And here I thought Mitt Romney and his family could NOT get anymore pathetic.
This is the kind of thing that a school boy says after he says he wants to slap a real man, but does not have the balls ( wait- balls? slap? NEVER MIND) to actually do what they talk about. "Yeah I didn't really want to hit the Kenyan, but if I had, I would have totally beaten his ass!"
ReplyDeleteBalls slap?...that's funny! I may use someday on someone deserving.
Delete"The Fox and the Grapes," fable, pretending not to want something one cannot or does not have.."I didn't want those grapes they were sour anyway".
DeleteIt looks like Mitt and Ann's mendacity was inherited by Tagg. What a crock of BS to say Robme didn't want to be President. The dumb fuck has been running for President his whole life.Never has there been a more illequipped awkward or pathetic candidate that Ol' Mitt.
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking that Mitt's son has the same talent for lying that his father has. Pretty amazing. Thank God that we were spared having the Romneys as the First Family.
DeleteBeaglemom
And Sarah did not want to be VP, actually, because the money would have been so much worse than what she has been able con out of her followers, Holly wood, book publishers and the State of Alaska in the past four years. PLUS she would have had to actually do some work. Maybe thta's what got to Mittens...he would have had to do something other than fire people (and show his tax returns!)
ReplyDeleteHis ego wanted it, his ego thought he was entitled to it -- but deep down in his soul I never thought he really wanted, I always got the sense that the few brain cells that he had that were slightly still connected to what little tiny soul he had left way down deep he knew that he didn't really want the responsibility of the job of being president and it scared him - the glory and title yes, the actual work no I don't think he wanted it
ReplyDeletei agree.
DeleteSo Ann and Taggggggg begged him to be president? I thought Ann made some sort of poor me video stating she'd never go through a presidential campaign again. Is this Rmoney throwing his wife and son under the bus like he has everyone else?
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand is certainly reinforces my take on Mormon family relationships, the woman is the head of the family behind closed doors. The man, a figure head for her ambitions.
Oh no, that means that everybody else that Tagg knows wants to be President! They are never going to go away.
ReplyDeleteI never knew anyone personally who wanted to be President, but everyone that Taggs knows wants to be more than his own dad.
Did you see this? http://now.msn.com/mitt-romney-campaign-accused-of-overcharging-media-for-travel
ReplyDeleteRomney campaigns overcharges media for meals and travel during the campaign.
I guess Romney expects the lamestream media to pay his campaign expenses.
DeleteYeah, this is a crock of crap...Mitt Rmoney and his family all felt it was "their turn." Now, they are going to disavow that audacious claim? Really?
ReplyDeleteIsn't there a video of Queen Ann The Entitled saying just that?
Delete@HRH-
DeleteQ: What would you say to President Obama?
Mittens: Start packing! That's what I'd like to say to him.
Queen Anne: It's our turn now.
Power follows money.... Maybe it was just too hot a potato for Mittens to handle but then he had his boys to be his posse.
ReplyDeleteBuzzfeed noted wryly that an anonymous campaign aide said that the bills were indicative of a mismanaged campaign rather than deliberate overcharging, “One campaign aide, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the bills were not artificially inflated, but rather the product of a generally mismanaged campaign. The aide said the advance team — which was tasked with arranging meals and accommodations for the press — failed to communicate with other elements of the campaign and consistently spent more money than necessary.”
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politicususa.com/mismanaged-arrogance-romney-overbills-media-covering.html
SO Romney, who was campaigning on his business expertise, is incapable of managing his own campaign?
Yep, just like all the ad buying at the last minute and spending three to four times as much on the same air time as President Obama, who bought time earlier in the election season. No wonder most of the businesses Bain bought went under (on purpose). These idiots were following the "kill it" mode of Bain's plan, not the "make it better" mode.
DeleteThe link is about Romney overcharging reporters for their meals and travel expenses during the campaign. The aide is claiming that it wasn't deliberate, but mismanaged. Why would people living in Romney World think there was something wrong with $800 for a lunch?
DeleteTypical MBA: Management by ASSHOLE
Delete¨He wanted to be president less than anyone I´ve met in my life.¨
ReplyDeleteWell, that´s obvious from the way he ran his campaign.
Mitt believed he was entitled and could just show up in front of voters. He didn´t want to WORK for the Oval Office. He believed being white was enough.
It showed.
Exactly! Thank goodness for changing demographics. Now they're just trying to save face. I hope he gets stuck in his car elevator. Piss off Romney's.
DeleteYeah, he never wanted to actually work for the position. It was 'his turn' and the presidency should have actually just been handed to him.
DeleteI'm sure when the economy just wasn't getting better fast enough throughout 2009, 10, 11, he and his advisers must have thought, "Well, heck, it's ours for the asking. No one would actually re-elect Obama in a failing economy. Milk, anyone?"
Romney's mental health was a concern, was it not? A remark from his "loving" wife, I think. The Romney progeny seem to think there is interest in the clan's doings. Well, of course, if you're worth billions of dollars there is always someone eager to publicize your drivel.
ReplyDeleteTagg's wealth insures he'll get the spotlight whenever he wants. He'll never understand the scorn of intelligent people for his worthless "information". The Mitt legacy is Tagg's life ambition. What a worthless life it will be.
Some at HuffPo are referring to him as SkinTagg. Ouch!
Deletewhat is SkinTagg?
DeleteIt's a small, harmless, benign tumor that can be found in your armpit.
DeleteBluedragon, you said it best. I am not ashamed to say that I cried election night when Obama won Ohio. I knew then it was over and we had escaped and been saved from the charlatan, Romney.
DeleteMitt is not presidential material.
ReplyDeleteNot once did he grasp the overarching political situation in any area.
For example, the "War on Terror" is a civilian idea that doesn't make much sense. Terror is a tactic, nothing more. So, declaring a war on terror is akin to declaring a war on flanking. What were Mitt´s actual political goals in this area? Who knows? He never really articulated them. Until some solid political goals, instead of vague ideas like freedom and democracy, are stated, it's not really possible to direct military effort effectively.
...and Queen Esther with her "common sense solutions." Name ONE. HAHAHAHA
DeleteThey are DONE. Merry Christmas one and all, IMers!
The idiot was running for president for a decade but couldn't get his tax returns in shape for public scrutiny. Of course he didn't want to be president, he's too stupid for the job.
ReplyDeleteAfter that, we know he won’t be back.
ReplyDelete“And another one bites the dust.”
We can only hope that none of the Romney sons do not want to be president so badly that they run later!!
DeleteSeriously? I am so glad to be able to come to this blog where folks actually do some research! And see through the BS. You'll see the "mainstream" press write about how he's been running for 7 years, as if that's some big deal! Are you kidding me? He has been running since his father's lost campaign. Everything he has had done professionally since then was meant to place him in the White House, starting w/ 2 count 'em 2! graduate degrees from Harvard. One wasn't quite enough, he had to add a JD, which he never used, but there it is sitting on his CV. If we hadn't just had a national near death experience, his actual choices along the way would be laughable. He really walked the path towards this goal but was either delusional ( my personal pick) or was incredibly incompetent. Thinking about his fortune and his little tax problem. He made the fortune, but I think he became a little overzealous in collecting all that cash, and then developed the little problem of what to do with it all while he got ready to bankroll his presidential runs. Of course, he just rolled right over the tax details. 2 years of taxes and that's all "you people" are going to get. Hubris with a healthy dose of arrogance. It almost worked.
ReplyDeleteRunning for MA Gov: while living and paying taxes in Utah - was granted MA residency status after agreeing to pay MA taxes "retroactively". Appealed in front of the MA election board. It was another stepping-stone.
Running for MA Gov: pro-choice ( blue state ) to attain that stepping-stone, since he had failed at his attempt to unseat Ted Kennedy.
Running for Pres: anti-choice (republican party)to attain that nomination spot. Totally craven.
Just to start with. There is so much more. I hope someone writes about this with eyes open. Peel the layers of BS off and expose this charlatan. It would make a great read. And I can hope that the nation will learn from it. He was a total fake man. An empty suit with no center.
I am grateful that so many people voted and reelected our president who is a very special man. And I'm grateful that the attempt to steal the election failed.
"Didn't want it anyway?" "Those people" lie like they breathe.
Yea verily..................
DeleteAsk any woman who's dated a Cult man.
DeleteThey're taught to lie practically from birth.
" He really walked the path towards this goal but was either delusional ( my personal pick) or was incredibly incompetent. "
DeleteThose aren't mutually exclusive positions.
Is that why he seemed absolutely desperate to win? And would say anything to win? Poor Mitt, the Martyr. We should have bowed down and thanked him for running.
ReplyDeleteThe grapes are so so sour.............
ReplyDeleteHe got that from his mommy....."there,there" she said as she hugged poor Mitt,"You didn't want it anyway"........
ReplyDeleteYEAH he didn't want to be President...
ReplyDeleteif he had wanted to he would've picked Sarah Palin for VP -- so there!!!
(Can you imagine those two families together?
The rubes and the snobs.)
Which ones are rubes and which are snobs?
Delete@Anonymous 2:45 PM
DeleteIf you don't know, you are a rube.
"Yeah I didn't want your stupid President job anyhow. Besides my house is TWICE as big as the White House!....And even has an elevator for Ann's Cadillacs."

Now that's some serious journalism you're readin' there my friend :-)
DeleteAs long as "you people" keep getting your "info" and talking points from "those people" then we win, Dems and libs, that is.
You're about to lose the House in 2014, also too, after having lost the Presidency and the Fiscal Cliff debate.
Keep looking to Glenn Beck for your info though, maybe even Karl Rove or Dick Morris, any of 'em, all 'em! They have your back, trust me :-)
@1:55 PM That's what the RNC thinks about Sarah Palin and her PIMP Husband. Oh, BTW, was
DeleteSarah Palin invited to the RNC Convention? Glenn 'CRYING' Beck, Andrew Breitbart, Sean Hannity, and Sarah Palin are living off of the 'NOT TOO BRIGHT' Sheep who have been following them BLINDLY. Get your Head out of your ASS before you walk into a Wall.
Just the name of the link is HIGH-larious.
DeleteReally?
Beck has "the goods" on President Obama - so much so PBO is going to JAIL??
OMFG_ ROFL!!!!
Mitt spent 30 million of his own money chasing the nomination in 2008.
ReplyDeleteFuck you Tagg ...
Somebody really really must resent the fact that Da--...I mean, "Mitt"--spent $42 million on running in 2008! That means that Tagg will inherit nearly $9 million less, for Pete's sake!
ReplyDeleteI suspect he may have wanted to win -- winning is good, you know. But, he may not have actually wanted to do the job that winning would have put him in.
ReplyDeleteThis is something I have thought about previous Republicans, most especially Sara P and maybe even John McCain and also too, George W. Bush. All of these men had successful fathers to live up to and winning would have achieved that for them. Unfortunately GW did "win" -- well, not really -- and even bested his daddy by "winning" a second term. But, he was so in over his head that I did wonder at the time if he really wanted the job as much as the win.
There is mo doubt in my mind that our current president does want the job, and so did Bill Clinton. Hopefully some day soon the Republicans will find candidates who don't have anything to prove to "daddy". To do that they should probably start looking for self-made men who worked hard to get where they are -- as Clinton and Obama did.
“Look, eight years was awesome,” Bush told the Hoover Institute’s Peter Robinson on Tuesday. “You know, I was famous and I was powerful, but I have no desire for fame and power anymore.”
DeleteThe Romneys Take Their Ball and Go Home, Claiming Mitt Never Wanted to be President
ReplyDelete...Romney used to only hate half of America, but now his son seems to be saying FU, America. We never wanted you anyway! No doubt Tagg loves his father deeply, but he still doesn’t get it. Tagg still thinks that America never got to know the Real Romney. Tagg thinks that if we just knew what he did for personal friends, we’d have loved Mitt. In fact, it is what Romney had in mind for those who were not personal friends that was precisely the issue.
The King starved the village but he was kind to his servants so the village should love him? See, Tagg, the village gets to vote in America, so this whole benevolent king notion might well have been the problem.
If Mitt only wanted to run because of his love for God and country, then what does it mean that we’re now told that he didn’t want to run? No matter, Mitt’s taking his ball and going home. He never liked you anyway. So there.
http://www.politicususa.com/tagg-claims-mitt-romney-wanted-president.html
Hahaha - big story in the Boston Globe - also too - his campaign was to blame - "One of the gravest errors, many say, was the Romney team’s failure, until too late in the campaign, to sell voters on the candidate’s personal qualities and leadership gifts."
ReplyDeleteThere was nothing there to sell - what a joke of an article - written so Miss Ann won't be crying all Christmas because "you people" didn't vote for her.
Mitt wanted the trimmings - the white house and the plane - but no way did he want to actually have to be the President.
Ann looked horrible (she was truly devasted at their loss) as shown on stage directly after Mitt gave his 'loss' speech. He supported her as they left the stage. The stress, I'm sure, had an effect on her MS. (I know about the disease, as I have it.)
DeleteDuring the campaign she came off as a princess, but in defeat, was a mess and unseen! It was shown they did not think they'd lose.
Thank God for President Obama and VP Biden! Can you imagine having the likes of Romney and Ryan in the White House? They would have been as gutt wrenching in office as McCain and Palin!
God obviously didn't 'open the door' for idiot Palin to be a winner as she projected herself. Perhaps if she attended church in Wasilla and actually prayed her chances might have been better. God knew she was nothing more than a liar and fraud!
IF this were true, then everyone who contributed to his campaign should demand their money back. They were victims of a massive fraud.
ReplyDeleteExcellent point!!
DeleteExactly. Our go-to guy tag has just made a laughing stock of his father, the entire GOP and perhaps the country. While we may be here thinking up great jokes about this revelation, just imagine those folks in other countries laughing with derision at the great U.S. Had the chips fallen on Romney's side of the table, millions would have voted in a man devoid of any scruples, principles and ethics, to the point that he didn't have any real or deeply felt passion for in the most powerfully seat on this planet! Tattler may have been seen as a loose canon, but his father would have been a loose nuke. After I read about this I veered between disgust and fear - the same emotions I felt for Palin.
Deletephoebes-in-santa fe Says:
ReplyDeleteA few things come to mind after reading the article.
1. The complete and utter cluelessness of the Romney campaign’s solid belief that their man was going to win. They ran their campaign extolling Mitt’s competence in the business world and his ability to “read numbers and facts”. And that was how they were going to govern, if elected. Yet, they completely ignored what the polls were saying. Completely ignored. Their campaign was based on wishful thinking and willful disregard of the facts. Didn’t anyone on the campaign figure on Obama’s extensive ground game? No one ever noticed the discrepancy in volunteers and field offices between the two campaigns? Complete morons.
2. All the testimonials of the people Romney had helped along the way? The ones I read about were all Mormons. Or rich. Or both. Did he ever write a will for a dying Jewish boy? Help search a seedy area for a runaway black child? Give money to a needy Hispanic family? Not that I ever read about. So that campaign was right not to highlight those “testimonials” if they were all from Mormons or other rich people (like the rich guy with the yacht who was so appreciative of Romney helping him moor his boat!)
3. Their get-out-the vote Orca system. Why was it only to operate on Election Day? Why not earlier for all those states with early voting?
No, Romney was a lousy candidate and he would be a lousy president. Our great country dodged a bullet – or a whole magazine - when we reelect Obama!
I'm not sure I understand why a 14 year old boy would need a will. What am I overlooking?
DeleteRomney was said to have gone to visit a parishioner, a fourteen year old boy who was dying of leukemia I think it was, and he wrote the boy's will.
DeleteFortunately, writing a will for a teenager isn't the kind of thing that happens often, but he did it for a Mormon kid. There are other kids dying... but they don't count.
Anon@3.04p - the boy was dying of leukemia
Deletehttp://www.nationaljournal.com/2012-presidential-campaign/crossroads-ad-mitt-romney-helped-boy-with-cancer-20121023
It's certainly an insult to all of those donors who gave a billion dollars to the Republicans. Yes, Mitt was so sure that he won that he didn't write a concession speech. He only looked at the polls that were favorable to him. And, he didn't want that old job anyway. Ann is probably returning her tiaras and gowns as we speak.
ReplyDeleteWell Tagg Romney, I'm glad that we could help you Dad out with that :-)
ReplyDeleteHa! Yes, he should be thanking us.
DeleteIt's a shame so many believe Obama was elected. He was 'selected' and the two-horse race so many believe they had a hand in is a farce. Your vote does not count and will not count until the people are in charge. Be advised, read everything, listen to everybody, but don't trust anything unless you can prove it with your own research.
ReplyDeleteGot any links to this insightful, eye opening, truth telling, research of yours?
DeleteAnon 2:43--and who the fuck are you that we should believe anything you say?
DeletePresident Obama was re-elected, despite what you want to believe. Continue to lie to yourself in your dim little world. This is why the GOP grows smaller every day...
It was never a two-horse race. Romney was un-electable.
Delete2:43 PM Do you work for Fox News? Where else would you get BRAINWASHED like that?
DeleteAn example of GOP thinking - if we don't win - your vote does not count - well all those who voted for President Obama sure had their votes counted - they stood in line for hours and hours - despite the best efforts of GOP governors to stop them voting.
DeleteYour paranoia and those like you would cause a massive economic disaster in the US - if it weren't for President Obama realizing exactly what you are trying to do. Go take your meds and cry all through Christmas because your guns and hatred didn't keep the population from voting.
2:43pm
DeleteEgg Nog Libel! (it's gotta be the Nog talkin', right?)
3:00 There are no magical links that are going to give you knowledge, you should earn that for yourself and trust no one. I’d advise you study how money and power have controlled people and processes in history. Learn about central, banks, bilderberg group, etc. Prove it yourself, understand the content of Ron Paul’s last speech.
Delete3:13, 3:17 You’ve been deceived. 4:18 No, I’m free thinking and not influenced by any party
4:45 You’re wrong, but I wish I was wrong. No hate here. 5:35 I wish.
Sounds like a Conspiracy Theorist.I am in a town full of these folks, Expats in Vilcabamba Ecuador. Stocked up on dry goods ,for the end of the world, trolling the internet subsistence hunting, the Bilderberg group, Conspiracy theories, where to bury their gold. A few folks claim they are Target Individuals ( TI's) who do not sleep in the same place at night, cuz the gov't is out to get them. Talking Chem trails, and the evils of the world banks, as they drink their beers in the Plaza.
DeleteI have a sneaking suspicion that if Tagg Romney hit on me in a bar, he'd get really petulant after I turned him down, and then call me a lesbian.
ReplyDeleteFunny and perfect description of his personality.
DeleteSeems like a guy who carries Roofies...
DeleteTagg says... I feel soooo bad about how all this turned out, and even worse about all the money my friends and I looted from this clusterf*ck of a campaign. We are giving refunds to any campaign donor that feels they didn't get their money's worth out of the American Rambler division of Mitt Rmoney INC.
ReplyDeleteRead all about American Rambler here. It's not satire, but it's ONION worthy. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/romney-campaigns-tv-ad-strategies-criticized-in-election-postmortems/2012/12/11/a2855aec-4166-11e2-bca3-aadc9b7e29c5_story_1.html
That´s right, Taggy boy, keep crying those delicious Republican tears.
ReplyDeleteWell. That does explain the campaign, doesn't it, all those deliberate foot-shooting incidents?
ReplyDeleteRomney wanted to make sure that Gingrich, Santorum, Paul, Bachmann didn't get the Republican nomination--because they would actually want to be President. Romney got the nomination, so he could intentionally lose and ensure that (because he loves our country) President Obama would have 4 more years.
ReplyDeleteRomney didn't mind spending all of that money during the campaign because he was stimulating the economy and creating jobs.
Romney also made despicable TV ads (not because he wanted to attack Obama) but to make the moderate republicans, independents and democrats become more cohesive in their support of our President.
Romney is a true patriot and everything he did was for love of America.
He did take out the other Republicans with a bang
DeleteAre you serious? Really?
DeleteThat is a ridiculous notion.
DeleteYou know only Sister Sarah would be that selfless. /snark
Romney, his princess wife Ann, and their Mormon faith creeped me out! He (and his family) would have been horrible representations of America!
DeleteI think God every day that President Obama and VP Biden won the election for the second time. They are outstanding as to representing America throughut the world and are loved and respected by many! The voters didn't get this past election wrong at all!
LOL
DeleteYou should be writing for The Onion or SNL!
Sweet, sweet snark or total delusion? The line is so fine sometimes even I can't tell :-)
DeleteOP is snark. It *IS* obvious.
Delete[Romney didn't mind spending all of that money during the campaign because he was stimulating the economy and creating jobs.]
You don't *get* this is SNARK???
GEEZ-SUS
LOL. 100% snark. I've done it but I have better to do and it makes my head hurt ti write that crap.
DeleteMitt rMONEY cries when he writes a check to his church- and they aren't tears of joy. Joy is when he thinks he wins with his Benghazi bullshit. Then he smirks. Also, too, like when he remembers organizing that forced haircut in prep school. Or when he remembers how smart he was fixing up that dog carrier on the roof of his car. Or pushing some child's face into the butter. Or putting fresh cat shit in someones shoes.
If Romney did not want to be president, why then did he spend and receive reimbursement from us taxpayers for the millions he spent on his transition planning?
ReplyDeleteTagg's claims here proved to me that all of the Romney's are exactly who I figured them to be. Filthy rich white trash.
ReplyDeleteThat seems a worthy description
DeleteUhhh, so you believe Barack "stole" the election just because Karl Rove wasn't allowed to have his way and "guarantee" the election for Romney???
ReplyDeleteInteresting reverse logic from a Republicon.
Sorry, this was meant as a reply to Anonymous @2:43 pm
DeleteFred Thompson didn't want to run either, but said he would do it if people wanted him. Apparently they didn't.
ReplyDeleteJohn Boehner (Speaker of the House/US Congress) is as pathetic as Mitt Romney. Both very much disliked by Americans!
ReplyDeleteTagg has inherited his father's foot-in-mouth disease. Tagg is the son who told a reporter from the Boston Globe the true story of the dog on the roof of the car (poor Seamus). The original story that was told by a family friend described Mitt driving through a car wash with Seamus on top of the car-- and no container. (Calling PETA!) The reported wanted to confirm the story with Tagg, who agreed with some of his brothers that they had better tell the true story-- or the car wash story was going to hit the newspaper.
ReplyDeleteTagg also seems to have had a problem knowing when to talk and when to keep quiet. He was the devoted son who wanted to punch President Obama after an October debate. Tagg doesn't seem suited for a life where saying things to reporters come back to bite you in the butt.
Remember the ICE COLD stare from Tagg captured after the second debate? Yeah, didn't matter a bit.
ReplyDeleteSore. Entitled. LOSERS.
That stare was scary as hell! Reminded me of Christian Bale in "American Psycho" (but not nearly as handsome nor talented)
Deleteawww who the fuck do these people think they're kidding? both mitt and ann alluded to some mormon-prophesy-destiny thing about mitt being prez.
ReplyDeleteThank You, Tadd, you entitled snot rag racist cult member!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite line of 2012
"Proceed, Governor!"
This is so totally Mitt: insulting your friends with a remark intended for your enemies. Not a moment of reflection given to thinking about who might be offended by this remark, and who will be provoked to raucous laughter.
ReplyDelete
