With Scott Brown out Massachusetts Republicans are so deperate they are thinking of recruiting Romney. No, not that loser Mitt, they want his wife or son.

Massachusetts Republicans are desperately scrambling to find a strong Senate candidate to replace Scott Brown, with some even trying to persuade Mitt Romney’s wife or son to jump into the race to avert another electoral disaster. 

The former GOP senator’s decision to stay out of the June 25 special election surprised and angered some Republican leaders, who said it will make it much harder to beat a Democratic opponent without Brown on the ballot. 

“I’ve had several people call me and ask about Ann Romney,” Ron Kaufman, a longtime friend and aide to the former Massachusetts governor and 2012 presidential candidate nominee, told the Herald.

You know I don't usually like to encourage Republicans as a rule but I would like to give my full throated endorsement to this idea.

Please, oh please, oh please let one of the Romney's run for this seat. I would LOVE to see another one of them get crushed by a Democrat, while Ann bitches about how lucky "you people" are that another member of her precious family has deigned to sully themselves by seeking political office, for the "good of the country."

But if I may make ONE suggestion, instead of Ann or Tagg being drafted as the candidate, can we have Josh Romney instead?

He just seems to have the laser like focus that one expects from a robot from Dimension X a candidate for the Senate.

Okay seriously, does he ever even blink?

Mitt Romney's son claims he never wanted to be President anyway. So there!

Oh please! Mitt Romney, the guy that has been planning to run for the Presidency his entire adult life, and ran in both 2008 and 2012, DIDN'T want to be the President?

The guy who was so arrogantly assured that he WOULD be President, that he didn't even bother to write a concession speech, instead only having an acceptance speech written, did NOT want to be President?

The guy that was SO devastated by the fact that he lost the election that he spent the weeks directly afterward moping around the country like a hobo with a broken heart did not WANT the job of President?

This is the kind of thing that a school boy says after he challenges somebody to a foot race and loses. "Yeah I didn't want to win anyway! If I had, I would have totally beat you!"

And here I thought Mitt Romney and his family could NOT get anymore pathetic.

Finally the voter registration fraud the Republicans have been warning us about is discovered to exist. Wait, which party was caught red handed? Update!

A man originally reported to have been working for the Republican Party of Virginia was arrested by the Rockingham County, Va., Sheriff’s Office on Thursday and charged with attempting to destroy voter registration forms by tossing them into a dumpster behind a shopping center in Harrisonburg, Va. 

“Prosecutors charged him with four counts of destruction of voter registration applications, eight counts of failing to disclose voter registration applications and one count of obstruction of justice,” according to a report late Thursday afternoon from TPM’s Ryan Reilly. More charges could be forthcoming, according to officials. 

But there is more to the story, as evidence emerges to document that it ties into a still-expanding nationwide GOP Voter Registration Fraud Scandal that the BRAD BLOG first began reporting in late September, after we’d learned that the Republican Party of Florida had turned in more than 100 allegedly fraudulent and otherwise suspect voter registration forms in Palm Beach County. The story has continued to widen ever since, to a dozen Florida counties and several other states, now including Virginia, and even to the upper-echelons of the Republican Party itself. 

The man arrested today was 23-year-old Colin Small of Phoenixville, Pa. As it turns out, he does not only work for the Virginia Republican Party. According to an online profile, he appears to be working for the Republican National Committee and, prior to that, served as an Intern for Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., in the U.S. House of Representatives. 

Joseph Tanfani at the Los Angeles Times is reporting that Small was “working as a supervisor as part of a registration operation in eight swing states financed by the Republican National Committee.”

That the Republican party is  responsible for the very acts that they accuse of others of doing, should not come as a surprise to ANY of us. Especially since the party has engaged in aggressive acts of voter fraud or voter suppression for over twelve years now. And in many places far longer.

In Alaska this is simply the status quo, and we have been the victim of tossed ballots, suddenly appearing absentee ballots, and voter machine vote switching for decades now. With no change in sight.

In my experience it has always been that while the Republican party is pointing to the left and saying "Look, those people are cheating!", over on the right they have been cheating all along.

I think that we are way overdue for both campaign finance reform and tougher fair election laws to be passed in this country.  But I am not holding my breath because it is clear to me that the Republicans simply do NOT want to compete on a level playing field.

Let's face it, without their mountains of money, and ability to game the system, they would have to actually run on their antiquated policies. And how can they possibly win in any place but the deep South with those?

P.S. By the way while we are on the subject of corrupt voting machines, guess whose son (Yes the same son who wants to "take a swing" at our President.) owns the ones Ohio is using?

Mitt's son, Tagg Romney, claims he wanted to "take a swiing" at our President, but feared the Secret Service. Also reveals that his dad is "terrified" to debate Barack Obama.

Tagg Romney did not like it when President Obama accused his dad of dishonesty during Tuesday night's debate. 

In an interview with a local North Carolina radio station Wednesday, the candidate's eldest son was asked what it was like "to hear the president of the United States call your dad a liar." 

"Jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the stage and take a swing at him," Tagg responded, laughing. "But you know you can't do that because, well, first because there's a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because that's the nature of the process."

Holy Mormon Jesus Christ! Does ANYBODY think this over privileged milquetoast little piece of shit would have had the balls to take a swing at our lean wiry Commander-in-Chief even WITHOUT the Secret Service there to protect him? Obama would have knocked this milk drinking entitled mama's boy all the back to Utah!

Yesterday somebody mentioned that Michelle Obama might have reached him first and that his ass would be grass if she had.

I agree 100%. She would have used those toned arms of hers to slap the shit right out of this pompous douchebag!

These Romney kids are just like their father, all talk with nothing to back it up. I mean sure if they can get somebody to hold a gay kid down they might cut his hair, but on their own they are just going to stand there looking crazy mad but too afraid to do anything and risk getting their ass kicked.

"Oh no, Father is being defeated! If only I were man enough to say or do something!"

And speaking of cowardice, Tagg also revealed that Mitt is "terrified" to debate the President:

Tagg was also asked how his father feels before the high-stakes presidential debates. 

"Are you kidding? He's terrified before he gets out there!" he responded, before correcting himself, "Terrified is too strong a word. but you know, like anybody, he gets butterflies a little bit. And then once he's in it, two or three minutes, he's forgotten about the nervousness."

Sure he attempted to take it back in the next few sentences, but  his first description was "terrified" and I tend to believe THAT was the honest answer.

Let's face it this family has been protected by wealth and privilege their entire lives, they have NO idea what real struggle is like, and simply expect everybody to accept their bullshit without calling them out over it.

Of COURSE Mitt Romney is terrified! He is up against the man who the ENTIRE Republican party tried and failed to defeat in the last four years.  He is up against the man who gave the word to take out Osama Bin Laden, WHILE also knocking them dead at the White House Correspondent's Dinner.

He knows that without all of the money and big business contacts backing him up, that he would NEVER have a chance against this man. And he probably now also is beginning to realize that he might very well lose this election even DESPITE the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on his behalf.

Which is why he is now encouraging his big business contacts to TELL their employees to vote for him.

Because that is how the Romney's get their way, by bullying others into doing what they want, and if THAT doesn't work then threatening them with physical violence. (You now like tripping a son's wife to win a footrace.)
