Personally I think that ANY politician who knows Palin will not try to attach herself to their campaign, or offer to endorse them in their next bid for reelection, if they support this bill, should run, not walk, to the front of the line to do so.
I mean isn't it worth possibly losing the support of the NRA to keep the "Palin Curse" from causing your political career to implode? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Authorities in Oregon are considering whether to charge an off-duty security guard who accidentally shot and killed his girlfriend’s 9-year-old daughter while practicing drawing his weapon.
Oregon City police spokesperson Lt. Jim Band said that 32-year-old Joseph Wade Wolters was at home on Sunday prepping for his new job as an armed security guard by holstering and unholstering a loaded weapon. Fourth grader Shayla May Shonneker was about 50 yards away when the gun discharged, sending a bullet through a wall and striking the girl in the face while she was playing outside.
The girl was later pronounced dead after being rushed to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital by LifeFlight helicopter.
Another dead child as the direct result of a "good guy" with a gun.

Security cameras, bomb sniffing dogs, and other types of surveillance even drones with cameras are a more effective way of preventing this kind of attack. ReplyDeleteThere are limits to those precious 2nd amendment rights right now. Private individuals cannot own a cannon, an armored tank, military grade weapons. There should be an age and qualification requirement, the same thing as getting a drivers license. Minors are not supposed to be drinking either. There are age limits and nobody thinks that their rights are being taken away.
