Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey
Exactly. Things laid out in the Bible, "Thou shalt not kill," Thou shalt not covet," Thou Shalt Not bear false witness," were just fine to break, but things things not even mentioned will bring down the wrath of God? No wonder the Catholic Church kept the Bible in latin for so many centuries, and the current GOP prefers to TELL people what it says and keep their masses dumb enough not to be able to read for themselves. Not to mention that this book has been written over and over again by people with an agenda. Frankly, if there is a God, he is going to be really angry that the GOP ignores the poor, children, and treats women like slaves. He is not going to be mad about people loving each other, or ending pregnancies because the fetus is grossly deformed and can't survive, or because a woman was raped. I believe God knows every bit of science out there, and had he not wanted contraception invented, we would not have it. God is not anti-science. We know about climate change because we are supposd to take care of this planet. The real evil in the world comes from the GOP.
If you get your head right you know God not only judged America for that laundry list of our early history slaughters, he alsotoo awarded us a medal for our efforts.
The medal of Exceptionalism.
American Exceptionalism is the judgment of God that freeing the continent from the grip of unholy, heathen pagans was a very good thing. Started right up at the very beginning with Columbus' boys hanging and burning supposedly "peaceful" natives in groups of 13 to honor the 12 disciples and Jesus, and kept right on up to Wounded Knee and beyond.
Today, with the vast bulk of the heathen pagans destroyed and the survivors controlled, the fight for the glory of God continues with the wrathful smoting of takers, lay-abouts, etc. by those dutifully working to fulfill America's manifest destiny of becoming the home of the second coming.
America has been judged. We're exceptional. Just ask us.
