48 year old Willie Noble shoots teen girl over egging. |
An Arkansas man is facing first degree murder charges after he allegedly shot a 15-year-old girl to death over the weekend because she was participating in a prank on his 16-year-old son.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, Little Rock Police responded to the Kum & Go gas station after a call about a shooting, according to KARK. Officers found a white Hyundai Sonata with bullet holes, broken glass, and four teens between the ages of 14 and 18.
A 15-year-old girl who was inside the car was identified as Adrian Broadway. She later died from a gunshot wound after being taken to nearby hospital. The car’s 18-year-old driver, Dshone Nelson, suffered minor injuries from broken glass.
The surviving teen victims reportedly told police that they had attempted to prank 48-year-old Willie Noble’s son by covering his car in eggs and leaves, KTHV reported.
“Apparently Mr. Noble’s teenage son had done a prank on some of the kids that were inside the vehicle on Halloween Night,” Lieutenant Sidney Allen explained. “As a result they were doing a retaliation prank and it ultimately had deadly results.”
After the shooting, the driver attempted to flee the scene to get help.
“It was a joke. We was friends, we was gonna come over there and clean it up,” 16-year-old Kortazha Williams, who was in the car, told KTHV. “It was supposed to be a prank; we were supposed to get up right now, and we were supposed to laugh.”
Yet another senseless murder in response to an innocuous incident by an unarmed teenager.
Not a very comforting pattern.
At least this guy is African American so as we know he will be unable to use the Stand Your Ground defense.
In America that only works for white folks.
You're so right, as unfortunate as this senseless shooting is, white folks seem to get away with murder especially if it's against a person of color.
ReplyDeleteI agree - this man will be found guilty of first degree murder and be put in jail for life. He's black!
ReplyDeleteDamn, but it is close in appearance to the Dunn 'bullshit' case! Dunn is the guy that should have been found guilty of first degree murder and jailed for life! But, he's white!
I'm a white person typing this!
Not to excuse this guy murdering a teen, but I don't the teenagers excuse that it was just a prank. Covering a car in eggs and leaves is a bit more than a prank. It's vandalism - very expensive vandalism. Eggs dried on a car ruin the paint. Is it a murdering offence? Not in my opinion, but neither was it a harmless prank.
ReplyDeleteOh, no! Ruined paint! Call the cops and lock up the surviving girls. Jesus H. Chrysler.
DeleteSince they were doing it to the teen that did it to the drivers car then it was just a prank back at someone.
DeleteBut it does sound like you are making excuses for a murderer.
So maybe the guy should have shot his own kid when he egged and put laves on someone elses car on halloween. BTW it takes about 2 or 3 days of having an egg sit on a car before it damages the clearcoat let alone the paint.
DeleteReading comprehension doesn't seem to be a strong suit here. No where does the commentor at 10:45 say the shooting was justified. What they were posting was that it wasn't just a prank like ringing a doorbell and hiding. It was several thousands dollars of vandalism. And please, I am not condoning murder. I don't condone any violence.
DeleteMaybe I missed it but I don't see a mention of the age, condition or even the make of the car. IOW, it could be 10 or 12 years old with no paint left on it. We can't just assume that paint was ruined although, I'll agree eggs on paint is a bad idea. Kids don't think of things like that though and in this case, the kids were retaliating for what the man's son had done to them.
DeleteThe real issue is was it wrong to end the child's life? Was it wrong to fire into a car full of people either young people or adults.
To anon 11;36. Where in the world did you come up with the 2-3 day rule before egg ruins the paint? The egg only has to dry. That could be hours not days. Justin Bieber was recently in the news for causing $20,000 worth of damage to his neighbirs house by egging it. Egging causes serious damage. It's not "just a prank". Once again, I do not condone this mans actions. He should be tried for murder.
DeleteAll these aging men shooting our youth to death need to start working out to feel stronger. All these guns seem to do is give them the same sort of courage people get from being drunk. Whatever happened to leadership?
ReplyDelete10:45, those teenagers probably didn't know dried egg ruins paint. I didn't know until just now. About three years ago I was walking back to my car in a grocery store parking lot. Sitting on my hood was a car seat with a baby in it. Next to my car was a mother with four little kids running around while she was trying to load a grocery cart full of bags into her SUV. She saw me and quickly moved her baby off my car, leaving two long scratch marks across my hood. She looked at me and then bowed her head. Man, was she exhausted. Without saying a word, I helped her load the bags into her car. I knew exactly what she was going through.
I am a father.
You mean you didn't shoot her?! You'll never get your NRA card now!
DeleteBut seriously, thank you for understanding that sometimes things just happen and a ((hug)) for helping the woman after that.
I hope after you helped you load her groceries you exchanged insurance info? The least she could do is pay to fix the scratches on your auto. Not your fault she has more kids that she can handle. Sounds to me like she needs a nanny.

I love your compassionate nature. Well done!
Childhood is over. As many times that my friends and I tp'd each others trees or soaped windows---we'd all be dead by now. Of course, when we got caught by parents then--- they either laughed or invited us in for soft drinks. I feel sick.
ReplyDeleteI remember ringing doorbells and hiding many many years ago. We certainly irritated many people. We were chased a few times which scared the crap out of me. One time a man caught us and explained that his little girl was very ill and us ringing the doorbell kept waking her up. We were little smart Alec's and laughed and ran off. Much to my horror, the girl died a few days later. I still feel ashamed that we disturbed that poor family in such a trying time.
DeleteWhen my father's car got TP'd (it was brand-new, the first of its make in town), I felt... popular. Loved, even, as the TP-wielders were guys who made no secret of what they'd done.
DeleteGone are the days.
It's just kids being kids. I remember these pranks when I was growing up and we had to clean it up, cut the guy's lawn, whatever to restore his testosterone level to full and to show that what we did was wrong.
ReplyDeleteI've had things done to my car by kids, and just cleaned it up and went on my way. The damage is too little to claim on my insurance, and I bought the car to get me from point a to point b. I wash and wax the car maybe four times a year and keep the interior clean.
My husband, on the other hand, could spend days pampering his garage kept expensive car which he drives about three weeks out of the year. Even his everyday car has to look showroom fresh. He likes to keep his toys clean, but he'd never raise a hand nor kill someone for egging his car. Cars are things that can be replaced. Kids are irreplaceable. Let your kids fight their own fights and let the kid's parents know little Adriene egged and leafed your precious hyundai.
Kill little Adriene, and your wife will send you pics of her new boyfriend driving your hyundai. Feel Macho now, new kid on the cell block????????
Rumor is Justin Bieber is moving back to Atlanta, GA. I hope he reads about this (if he can read) and does not egg anymore houses or other people's property.
