Point well taken.

73 million wasted to propagate a myth that should have died out back in the 19th century.

I guess it is more important to sabotage the critical thinking skills of defenseless school children than it is to feed the hungry.

And, as usual, the crazies miss the point of the story.
WHY did Noah build the Ark?
Because God was pissed off that "His people" weren't following His rules.
    And what were His rules?

    DON'T LIE.
    DON'T CHEAT.
    DON'T STEAL.
    DON'T KILL.
    ABOVE ALL: LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
HELP PEOPLE THAT NEED YOUR HELP!

But nope - gonna build an Ark.
Gonna argue about the nit-picky details and ignore God's simple and straightforward rules.

Ken Ham is building a $73,000,000 monument to his misunderstanding of what his own Bible says.

When religion is confronted with critical thinking skills, there are so many holes knocked in the theology that the boat won't float.

Were it not for the inevitable animal cruelty and neglect, it would be fun to watch them sink themselves in debt and exhaustion at the impossibility of housing two of each species for this ego project.

There are already enough fantasy theme parks out there for children. But I suppose this is a monument to these poor, persecuted Christians of flyover country.

  4. At another website somebody suggested that if Ken Ham REALLY wanted to prove that the Ark story was plausible he would only allow his unskilled family members help him to construct the giant monument to BS, just like the Bible says Noah did.

Now THAT would be both entertaining and informative for the children.

The number one goal of Christians is not to care for the sick, poor or homeless, but to increase club membership.

We have plenty of money to fritter away. Take a look at how they spent $200 of million of your tax dollars failing to get the Afghanistan military able to read and write.

A $200 million program financed by the United States to bolster literacy rates among security forces has been plagued by weak oversight and accountability, according to a report by federal inspectors. The report, published Tuesday, suggests that half of Afghan police officers and soldiers still might not be able to read or write.

Its been proven, scientifically, that undernourished children don't learn as well as other children. Building an ark is thus all part of the fundies dastardly plan to keep Amurica's children thin and stupid..

I wonder if Ken Ham will lend it to David Letterman for a "will it float?" segment? I guess they want to keep the beatitudes intact. "Blessed are the poor, hungry, meek, peacemakers etc" Because Jesus would cry if man "Fixes" a wrong in a piece of fiction. not to mention it's impossible to make a working model in the first place.
