Courtesy of the Washington Post:
Handel on Friday launched her first campaign ad, and it plays up her recent endorsement from the former GOP vice presidential candidate.
Apart from the disclaimer at the end, the ad features only Palin's voice.
For those who can no longer stomach Palin's squawk:
"You know her background, you know her record. The conservative who has walked the walk. Cutting budgets, not raising taxes, how often do you see that in government? Where somebody actually gets in there and does what they tell the people who hired them that they'll do, they actually fulfill promises. We don't have to be surprised when Karen comes through, doing what it is that she says that she will do. The next United States Senator from the great state of Georgia, Karen Handel."
Followed by a smattering of applause and Handel saying she approves this message.
It is worth noting that Handel has never yet held elected office, which makes Palin's praise for never raising taxes and keeping campaign promises kind of retarded.
Handel is in the running for this nomination against four other major candidates, all of them polling better than she is.
If this idiot thinks that a Sarah Palin endorsement is going to be the wind beneath her wings, she is about to learn a hard lesson in the power of endorsements from political has beens.
So when she 'cut budgets,' does Palin realize that means jobs are lost? The only real fat in our government is in the military (oh, and on bridges to nowhere) and we all know how the GOP feels about that! The rest of our tax dollars go to schools, roads, and so much more. If they were really concerned about budgets, they would cut their own salaries, stop funding weapons and planes and ships we do not need, and put money where it will do some good..in a JOBS BILL for infrastructure. Or do they just plan to wait and see where the next bridge collapse is before they act?
ReplyDeleteKaren did not hold any job in government where she would have the chance to cut so much as one job. In fact, the only jobs lost when Karen Handel was around were Karen Handel's jobs. She is a bigger quitter than Palin. She quit her job as Secretary of State to run (unsuccessfully) for governor. She quit her position at Susan Koman because of Planned Parenthood. In fact, she is almost like Sarah, going to two different colleges but never getting a degree. At least she doesn't pretend to be a journalist.
DeleteOh, another would be pol with no college..like Scott Walker, who thinks TALKING about finishing his degree means he won't have to do it. And Cruz..how's that Canadian citizenship coming? I haven't heard that he denounced it as of yet, or that Canada let him go. The GOP...all about lies and manipulation. All day, every day.
Delete"She quit her position at Susan Koman because of Planned Parenthood"
DeleteShe quit her position at Susan Koman because she used that position to serve her political interests - and she managed to turn one of the largest charities in the US into a political disaster. Her political attack on PP rebounded in a way Handel didn't expect because the RW media told her women would accept what she did - folks rejected her then & they will reject her now.
Another loser endorsed by a loser. Karen Handel sucks.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of hubris/arrogance does it take to run for US Senate NEVER HAVING HELD ELECTED OFFICE. Not State Senator, Not US Congresscritter... Not even county dog catcher?
ReplyDeleteWell, Sarah thought she could inherit POTUS from a dying McCain when all she ever did was hire a City Manager to do her Mayor's job, quit a couple of commissions, and then let high school grad Todd run Alaska for her, while she spent her time preening and posing and working the papers to get noticed. The GOP likes their women stupid.
Delete@4:58 Handel was elected Secretary of State of the state of Georgia, but she quit that job to run for governor, a race that she lost. But she was never in an office where she had to make a budget or vote on taxes-- the way that Palin claimed. Speaking of quitting, she went to two colleges, but she never earned a degree.
DeleteIa Palin Handel's messiah? Good luck with that, Karen! LMAO
ReplyDeleteArgh. Have a tall, frosty one, this puns for you.
DeleteIf this idiot is depending on Sarah again, she's shit-outa-luck this time, too, also. Once again, Sarah doesn't have to be very smart, just smart enough to find a few bagger candidates dumber than herself. The TeaBagger seems to provide those in abundance.
yeeeeeoooooowwwwwww! There shoulda been a warning-- I think my ears are bleeding! What a screech!
ReplyDeleteIsn't this the awful Komen lady?
ReplyDeleteIn person. No wonder Sarah loves her. (or pretends to for her base.)
DeletePretends for the Koch's.
DeleteOh boy! Yeah, let's talk about Palin's integrity and how she's not the best one to recognize it in others. Handel's opponents could have some fun with this and nick away at Palin's fakery in the process.
ReplyDeleteWhere in Ryan's budget does it reference cuts to the budgets, incomes or pensions of those in Congress? Ah yes, those issues don't fit the narrative.
ReplyDeleteI am so fucking tired of Palin's "do what we hired you to do" shit. Since she never learned civics or anything else except how to lie, cheat and break every oath, she doesn't understand that elected representatives are (or are supposed to be) public servants. They are not employees and we don't hire them, control them or supervise them. (Unless you're a republican and buy them.) They serve and if we're not happy we let them know and we vote accordingly in the next election.
ReplyDeleteHired? Christ in a handbag that woman is an idiot.
I respectfully disagree with you, look at this a little differently. We as taxpayers pay their salaries therefore they are our employees and have hired them by voting.
DeleteThe problem is once in office, some of them forget this and are pretty much influenced by lobbyists.
Oh dear but do you ever have this wrong. "We" don't pay their salaries; Congress sets these by federal law. The Constitution requires this, and that salaries be paid out of the US Treasury. "You" don't pay them; we do not pass a hat; this is not your snow machine dealership we're talking about.
DeleteWe don't hire, we vote. We don't fire, but in some cases the House may impeach, but again, Congress does that, not "us."
It's an "office" my dear, not a "job" and not a business or an organization "you" are running (thank goodness).
Government agencies have employees (they also have appointed secretaries and directors). Elected representatives are just that--representatives. They take an OATH, not sign a contract and they are in an office, not a job.
And thank you for encouraging me to do all I can to make sure that the people you want to "hire" don't get anywhere near public OFFICE.
So you think the CEO of say, IBM works for you if you are a shareholder? And must do as YOU say? Bwahahahahahahha
Delete@ 9:13 Oh dear but do you ever have this wrong. "We" don't pay their salaries;

Thank you for encouraging me to do all I can to make sure I know where my tax dollars go!!!!
Nancy Pelosi is not your employee. You didn't hire her. You can't fire her. You don't pay her.
DeleteWhat really separates us is that I look at our government as a good thing and in expect our representatives to serve the public interest and the public good. Sarah Palin looks at government like her failed car wash-- just another opportunity to grift or scam and if it fails, no big deal, just dissolve it.
Palin doesn't believe in the common good and she doesn't know how to serve it. She only understands her own self interest.
"Integrity?!?" BAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHHHHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA!
ReplyDeleteOk then she will do what she says she will do? Let's cut to the chase, you hire a quitter and you can bet Sarah does nothing for free to give you the image of a fighter? of a winner? .
ReplyDeleteA loser with the intellect of Forest Gump without the soul who quit her commitment to the people of Alaska for her own glory, someone who did not to what she said she would do ?
When did this become the hallmark of a leader? A leader fights against all odds they never give up unlike Sarah Payme
if that idiot ever really had to be in combat she would be the first one to run and crap her pants, yes that happens. But unlike the real patriots that have seen combat old Mama Grizzley would turn tail and run. Talk is cheap, she pushes an image of toughness without the experience and no Track never saw actual combat nor has her daughters.
Hey Miss Patriot why don't they join? you can wave the flag all you want but no one in your family has seen the real horror of war, so shoot your gun idiot, kill a moose you wouldn't last one week in real combat and those who have been there don't glorify guns, there's nothing to prove and a lot to live with.
O/T When are republicans going to learn- facebook is not their friend and never ask a question if your not 100% sure of the answer!! Read the comments he got-hilarious!!!!
ReplyDeleteMitch McConnell Asks If Americans Prefer Him Or Harry Reid: Hilarity Ensues
It’s been tough for Mitch McConnell lately. Like Ted Cruz, he attempted to drum up some support for himself on Facebook when things went utterly, disastrously, horrifyingly wrong for him.
Last month, Ted Cruz posted a “poll” on Facebook asking if people were better off now than when Obamacare was signed into law four years ago. While he expected the usual echo chamber response, the comments quickly filled to the brim with support for the Affordable Care Act.
While conservatives should have learned from Green Eggs and Bullsh*t‘s utter humiliation, McConnell decided that he would just try something similar and hope for the best:
He was probably expecting an influx of “Get rid of Reid” style comments, but what he got was…stomped. The comment section flooded with remarks indicating that America does not want him to lead the Senate–or anything else:

OT but the Alaska Aces hockey team just beat Colorado for their 4th consecutive Brabham Cup for best record of the regular season in the ECHL, guaranteeing them home ice advantage through the Kelly Cup playoffs !
ReplyDelete1st playoff game is this next Thursday the 17th ( i'm pretty sure ) at the Sullivan Arena - LET'S SELL THE JOINT OUT ALL YOU/US SOUTH CENTRAL ALASKANS !!!
check that, first playoff game's friday night, not thursday
DeleteGood grief, Handel is one tone-deaf idiot! The shit she pulled at Komen was a classic f-up. She single handedly cost Komen a lot of fundraising dollars for a fair amount of time.
ReplyDeleteJust what we need...to give her a bigger playpen to poop in
Palin & Handel ----> Dumb & Dumber, obviously.
ReplyDeleteBoth are losers and quitters. Two peas in a pod.
When Sarah is the "mastermind" political consultant of your campaign, you will be lucky to finish as high as fifth in a four horse race. Sarah the Wonky-Eyed Kochsucker and Karen Chunky Beef Handjob. Couple of real winners here, huh?
ReplyDeleteI think that Karen and Sarah have a lot in common. Each of them was elected to a state office that they quit. Neither seems to have a degree. Judging from the garbled way that Sarah speaks, I'm going to want to see that degree in journalism.
ReplyDeleteThe people who hired them? Does that mean just the people who voted for the person in office? That's not how government works. The person is supposed to work for ALL of the people in the state, whether they voted for them (hired them) or not. That's what Sarah was supposed to have done but she quit on the people who hired her. So did Karen Handel. They quit. If the people knew that they were going to quit in the middle of the job, they wouldn't have hired them in the first place.
ReplyDeleteRootin' Tootin' Boobie Flootin'
ReplyDeleteIt's called selling your soul to the devil. Enjoy those 30 pieces of silver, $arah/ You are SO pathetic and we can see right through you,
Handel must be dimwitted if she thinks associating with the well worn grifting ninny can help catapult her to victory.
ReplyDelete"It is worth noting that Handel has never yet held elected office, which makes Palin's praise for never raising taxes and keeping campaign promises kind of retarded."
ReplyDeletebwahahahahaha - Stupid probably thought she was endorsing Kelley Ayotte, the NH retard." They have the same hairdo.
Palin can't seem to stop her high-pitched screeching. Can she?
