We all wondered out loud what could be motivating her, as there is absolutely NO way that Maness can win this, and the GOP candidate really does not need his help in making sure that Landrieu does not get to 50% which insures a runoff after November.
So yesterday Palin took to Facebook to promote the Breitbart article, but also to make it crystal clear that she in no way wants to help the Republican establishment candidate win.

Last week for the first debate the GOP establishment’s "chosen one" didn't even bother to show up. No wonder really – he'd have a hard time deciding which side he's on. While it is true that Cassidy missed the first debate at Dillard University (He has only agreed to participate in two out of five.), he WAS at yesterday's where both of the lead candidates debated each other and pretended Maness was simply not there. Which according to the polls he might as well not be.
Okay at this point, especially since Mark Levin has joined Palin is backing a doomed candidate, I have to think that the Koch brothers are grooming Maness for another political run in the future.
This must be all about getting his name out there, so that when he runs for Congress, for Governor, or for school board president, people will recognize the name and that might possibly garner him a few more votes.
Yeah either Palin is being paid to pimp this loser, or she simply has even worse judgment in choosing candidates than she does in choosing parenting techniques. ("Okay kids here's the plan. I want you to drink as much as you can, then we will go to the city where almost everybody hates me, and I will unleash you into the neighborhood. Now remember, you're a Palin. Act like one.")
P.S. Speaking of the brawl, Bristol got a shout out from Stephen Colbert during his piece on gay marriage last night.
It could be as simple as Palin offering to campaign for or endorse Cassidy (figuring she would get credit for a win against Landrieu) and being told in no uncertain terms that he did not want or need her support.

If you look back on the last six years, it is only appropriate that they're now laughing stocks. I think the brawl and other very odd behaviors this past years how Sarah Palin to be mentally burning out and a very bad light. Motivation? Her only motivation has to be punching at anything that looks at her sideways. She is showing her peers and colleagues (that gave her the moon) that she can no longer function in a sane manner. What's up with that? Her supporters believed in her, and believed that she would do her best to work for this November to place their candidates in Congress and Senate. They were so excited and assured she had the fortitude and determination. All they've seen is Sarah preoccupy herself with TMZ, Radar On-line, Reality TV shows, and get her face in front of any audience that would pay. Her half-hearted efforts at writing op-eds about each candidate or researching the candidate's background, state and the needs of each state was found wanting. She never engaged with any of these lower 48 voters. She thought that showing up, her the celebrity, would be enough to sway voters. She thinks being the glam model leaning on top of the Cadillac at the auto show is all she has to do.

This reminds me of that enemies list that someone published a few years ago. The list of everyone that had pissed Palin off.
Sure, Palin never forgave or forgot the tiniest alleged slight, but she could soothe herself with the adoring crowds at her speeches and on her initial book tour. Plenty of media came to her defense also. She had a $3,000,000 contract and regular appearances on fox.
Now? Everyone is pointing and laughing at her. The slights are not small or imagined. She gets very little media support because no one is covering her as having any sort of political expertise. Her speaking venues are small and piddly. It's all slipping away no matter how angry she gets.
With you on that, Nefer, and unless she runs in 2016 (lmao), I can't see her being of any influence at all. That's still two years many, many gaffes away!
