Ben Carson walks back his statement that Sarah Palin was on Trump's short list for VP. Well sorta.

So this weekend, as we all know, the Washington Post wrote an article in which Ben Carson said the following:

Carson told The Washington Post that Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas), Sarah Palin and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie “are all people on our list.”

Since then literally EVERY new outlet has been having a hay day with the news.

Well put the hay down, because the fun is over.

Courtesy of the Daily Mail:

On Monday morning, Carson said on CNN that he's not interested in the job himself, and dismissed the Post story as so much rubbish.

'Any name you’re going to throw out, I’ll say, "Yeah, sure",' he said on the 'New Day' program.

'That doesn’t mean they’re under consideration or that they’re on the short list.'

Sooo, does this mean that nobody can trust anything that comes out of Ben Carson's mouth.

Okay scratch that, I forgot who I was talking about.

Still the question remains is Ben Carson just the worst campaign spokesman of all time, or did Trump decide to have him walk it back after attracting all of that ridicule?

Personally I don't really think that Trump would make Palin his VP, I mean that would be insane right?

After all that would be right up there with pretending you were somebody else in order to heap praise on yourself to journa.......Oh.

By the way I would like to point out that Trump himself only publicly denied that one name was on his list.

And guess whose name it was not.

It wouldn't surprise me if he picked her because he sees women as subservient and therefore no threat. And she is desperate enough to do whatever it takes to relive 2008.

It's amazing that Sara lost an opportunity of a lifetime in 2008 because of her own stupidity.

    1. Anonymous11:55 AM

plus, chump could blame his inevitable failure on her

    2. Anonymous12:02 PM

Actually it was a couple of Alaska libtard h8 bloggers that slammed the door in her face!

    3. Anonymous12:36 PM

      Stop blaming us Sarah!

    4. Anonymous12:49 PM

Oh there he is flip flop. He probably had that idiot first on his list. They deserve to be on a ticket...to hell.

    5. Anonymous12:52 PM

And good for THEM, 12:02 PM, although Europe will always take the credit.

      *evil grin*

    6. Anon 12:02: LOL! As I recall, Sarahskank said; on Election Eve, that "God would do the right thing", and they LOST. God did NOT choose her. Blame Him. Alaskan bloggers just did what the media wouldn't do, and that's show what a conniving, fake Christian, money hungry, stupid bitch, Sarah is. Keep kissing the skank's ass, Little Palin Flying Monkey.

    7. Anonymous1:18 PM

12:O2 Then we let the door swing back and kicked her fucking ass to the curb...

    8. Anonymous2:04 PM

The bloggers and anonymous commenters have some more dirt to dish.

A series of secret meetings? lol

Democrats May Get Rid Of Both Mitch McConnell And John McCain As Poll Shows Big Trouble For GOP

A new PPP poll of Arizona shows that Mitch McConnell's obstruction of President Obama may cost John McCain his Senate seat, and McConnell his Senate majority.

...Mitch McConnell has put John McCain in a nearly impossible position. Thanks to McConnell’s obstruction of President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland, McCain now has to oppose hearing to win a heavily contested Republican primary, but he could lose his seat in November if he opposes hearings for Garland in the fall.

If McCain loses his seat, the Republican Senate majority is toast. To complicate matters even more, Sen. McCain is going to be saddled with the unpopular Donald Trump at the top of the ballot. It is possible that Arizona’s Hispanic voters will turn out in record numbers to vote against Trump and take McCain out in the crossfire.

The ripple effects from Senate Majority Leader McConnell’s decision to obstruct President Obama could result in Democrats killing two birds with one stone. Democrats could both send John McCain into retirement, and end McConnell’s time as Majority Leader all because McConnell couldn’t resist obstructing President Obama one last time.

    2. Anonymous12:44 PM

McConnell is the man I've MOST disliked in the U.S. Congress during the past near eight years!

I so hope they demote his ass in November!!

He is responsible for leading our country down one horrid path in his initiating the obstruction of President Obama (which was instituted immediately after President Obama took his first oath of office!).

McConnell also created/started the massive racism we are currently watching throughout our country!

McConnell will eventually pay for his deeds - either on this earth or when he dies and goes to Hell!

He projected his evilness and led the Republican majority in Congress to massive hate - beginning in Washington D.C., throughout Kentucky and the rest of our country! The racism and obstruction of President Obama were his doing initially and it spread like wildfire and has continued through today!

He will not leave this earth unscathed and I'm sure Satan is awaiting him in Hell!

I don't know how President Obama has kept his cool with McConnell throughout his nearly completed second term! McConnell had no clue what an intelligent, deliberate thinking, calm and cool guy he was trying to harm! President Obama has literally cleaned his clock on many occasions and it was delightful seeing him reelected to a second term when McConnell tried so desperately to stop his success!

And, I suspect President Obama isn't finished yet!!! Kick his ass, Mr. President!

    3. Anonymous2:33 PM

      Well said!!!!!!!!!

    4. Anonymous2:57 PM

      Yes, My President, please proceed!

    5. Anonymous7:13 PM

As a person with feet in both Alaska and Arizona, I am thrilled with the prospect that McCain's rein may be over. And to think, that horror he unleashed has now had a hand in his own undoing.

      Sweet Revenge.

Isn't that the title of Sarah's next dumpster filler?

  3. Anonymous11:49 AM

Isn't she cute looking shy like a little first grade girl.

    1. Anonymous12:41 PM

Shy like a little first grade girl with a huge, massive, ginormous meat-head?

      Where's Chris Christie?

    2. Anonymous1:08 PM

Naw, that's the same smug, sly, sneaky expression she usually wears. Look at me! Look at me! Ha ha, The Donald thinks he's winning, but it's meeeeeeeeeeeeee!

    3. Anonymous1:22 PM

      Pardon me while I regurgitate!

She's proven to be so nasty through the years that she has lost her physical cuteness!

Plus, she's not aging well (in the eight short years since McCain named her to their losing ticket against President Obama!) and is looking more and more like her mother, Sally!

  4. 66gardeners11:53 AM

Hope he names Chris Christie within the next two weeks before his name is revealed as the co-conspirator not yet indicted.

Trump's Possible Mafia Links Comes To Light - Is This Why He Refuses To Release His Taxes?

Why won't Trump release his taxes? This is the question dogging the candidate over the last few weeks, especially since just last week he came out and said that he refuses to do so until after the election. Rumors of paying no taxes, offshore accounts, little to no charitable donations (going against his claim that he donates A LOT) and earning significantly less than the hundreds of millions he claims have been the most accepted reasons.

The Washington Post has presented another idea - Mafia ties. Today they published an article that outlines a long and, at times, very close relationship between Trump and a former Mafia figure, Felix Sater.

  6. Anonymous12:13 PM

I think ALL the spokespeople involved w/Trump (to include Trump!) will say or do anything to get press coverage (much as we've seen w/Sarah Palin throughout the years!) or review by social media outlets!

His token black man - appears to be an idiot - time and time again.

Something is said and then it is countered in some manner. Amazing to watch this ridiculous campaign of The Donald!

He surely surrounds himself with 'characters' as his spokesmen and women! And, that is putting it nicely!

    1. Anonymous1:02 PM

I had a college dorm roommate that was highly intelligent and skilled, but had no common sense at all.

Anything to get his foot in the door. As much as I can't stand him, tRump would be wise to plug that leak.

    2. Anonymous1:19 PM

As always the liberals and their their racism.

      'token black man'

Whats wrong 12:13, this black man not falling into line into his designated spot like you expect him to?

    3. I am serious when I say (and have said since the beginning of Trump's campaign) he is out to destroy the GOP -- with every move he makes. In his own mind, he will have "won" if he loses the election and defeats his nemesis GOP "elites" wjp laughed at him the last two times he tried to run.

They made him look small. That is his kryptonite.

He not rich and showing that will make him look small, so he will not ever show his tax forms. Ever.

    4. Anonymous1:35 PM

1:19 PM If you believe that Republicans are not racist, then ask Sarah Palin what she meant by "Sambo beat the bitch". CONservative wingnuts are as vile as any lynch mob, and you know it.

    5. Anonymous2:10 PM

So liberals and democrats claim to own the black vote.... and whenever a black man or woman identifies as a conservative or republican, they get singled out for tarring and feathering, labelled as tokens by the white democrats as an example for the rest. Stay on the plantation or become an example of ridicule, isn't that right 1:35?

That is the very base of racism and control. hypocrites. Dividing people based on skin color is the entire democratic party platform.

Conservatism is only concerned with the content of ones character, not the color of ones skin.

    6. Anonymous2:10 PM
Conservatism is only concerned with the content of ones character, not the color of ones skin.
      What utter, total, lying bullshit.

It wasn't liberals circulating emails showing watermelon on the front lawn, the First Family as gorillas, the President as a witch doctor and on and on and on. It was conservatives.

It wasn't liberals insisting that the same identical birth certificate that anyone else born in Hawaii receives from the state couldn't be real and that the President must have been born in Kenya. It was conservatives.

It wasn't liberals who decided that they would obstruct *everything* that the President tried to accomplish, no matter how bi-partisan the support and no matter how much it would benefit Americans. It was conservatives.

Calling out racism is not "divisive." Being racist is.

    7. Anonymous3:47 PM

@2:10 PM Is that why there are so many Republican people of color???? Wake up, bigot, they are not in your party.

    8. Anonymous4:11 PM

      I don't have a party 3:47.

But I do find amusing the 'ownership' mentality by white democrats, of black people and to a lesser extent other minorities in the democratic party.

And yes, there are plenty of black people in the republican party. The ones that are public figures never fail to be labelled as tokens or uncle Toms by the liberals, all for having a different independent political view. How awful is that? Sooner or later the black population will start to abandon the democrats en masse, as decades of democrat policies and glad handing have failed them.

    9. Anonymous4:48 PM

      Anonymous 2:10: Listen and learn.

Saint Ronald Reagan who is now seated on the right hand of God The Father Almighty from whence he will come to judge the quick and the dead was born and reared in Illinois. He went to California to seek his fortune.

In September 1980, after he was nominated as the Republican presidential candidate, he made a speech that set the tone for his campaign and his presidency.

QUESTION: Where did he make that speech? Did he go back home to Illinois and celebrate Mom, Middle America and Apple Pie? Or, did he make his first speech as the candidate in California, the Golden Land of Opportunity?

ANSWER: Neither. It's a trick question.

Reagan's first speech as the GOP presidential candidate was at the Neshoba County Fair, Philadelphia, Mississippi.

And what is special about Philadelphia, MS? It is the scene of one of the most heinous lynchings and murders of the entire civil rights era.

In his speech, Reagan said "I support states' rights." I'm a Southerner. When you say "states' rights" to a Southerner, you do not mean a dry, academic discussion of the 10th Amendment. No, what you mean is: "I support the right of the states to treat your n*****s any way you want without interference from Washington."

And that, Anonymous 2:10, is the GOP: Racist to the core. The following article is an excellent explanation -- caution: the article contains some long words and may make your brain ache.

    10. Anonymous4:49 PM

4:11, you could be a troll, you are a troll. Why should we believe your gripe? Why is your divisiveness the better? We don't know who you are, we've got a hundred thousand instances on Twitter alone today that white neocons float this kind of bs out to flaggilate liberals over minority issues.

    11. Anonymous5:31 PM

Nice try but no cigar Old Redneck.

Using an opinion piece written by a liberal writer, for a liberal political site, and regurgitating portions of the opinion piece in your own post, as if they were your own intellectual thoughts, simply exposes you as a follower of liberal voices and the liberal mantra that republicans are racist and democrats are not. Essentially you are nothing but another easy mark for the liberal agenda.

All one has to do is take a look at all the decades old democratic controlled urban decay cities around the US to see how well the democratic party has served the black population. It is embarrassing, it should be embarrassing to the democrats. And all you have is "blame Reagan".

    12. Anonymous6:46 PM

5:31, you stupid idiot, Old Redneck posted his source and in no way indicated they were his own personal thoughts ~ although, i daresay he would not have posted them if not in agreement.

  7. Anonymous12:17 PM

There is something seriously wrong with Carson. I wouldn't trust anything he says. He's certifiable. (not that I think Palin was ever on Trump's VP list).

  8. Anonymous12:28 PM

McCain will do anything to get reelected. Among all the GOP sanity he can sound like the smart and reasonable one and for a moment I'll think he's okay, but he really is desperate to have that Senate seat and will say and do anything to keep it. He is unwilling to say anything that doesn't praise Palin and repeat that choosing her was such a smart decision, and he will let Trump say anything he wants to about McCain's time as a prisoner. There was that instance when he stopped a woman from calling Obama a Muslim when on the campaign trail, but even that was weak, to be honest--it was the one time anyone didn't go long with a lie but he should have been much better at handling it. Only because of that one instance do I have any ability to believe that he wouldn't sell his soul to the devil to retain that Senate seat, but in the years since the lost election he does seem so desperate to hang on and not retire, and I think he'd tolerate just about anything to keep being senator.

    1. Anonymous12:53 PM

He needs to go. Ugh stop paying him az. You idiots.

    2. Anonymous1:14 PM

    3. Anonymous1:15 PM

Oops, I meant "GOP insanity" above!

    4. Anonymous2:01 PM

      He will hold his seat.

    5. Anonymous4:19 AM

@2:01, yep he will. Cindy's money says so! And she holds the purse strings.

  9. Anonymous12:35 PM

Carson may have been a surgeon but he is in other ways incredibly simple-minded. As much as it may at first seem that his speaking so slowly just makes him appear dumb (his slowness never seems thoughtful and deliberate and it takes all of my willpower not to turn the channel), once the words do come out of his mouth they are pretty much useless--he is always vague and uses the vocabulary of a 4th-grader and he says absolutely nothing that provides any insight and has any value. He is clearly unable to understand what it is he should and shouldn't say in terms of Trump's campaign. He has blundered in this way several times. It's pathetic. He obviously loves being in the limelight and yet he can't handle it.

    1. Maple2:08 PM

Successful surgeons with a reputation such as Dr. Carson had do NOT take early retirement -- their ego just won't let them. I'm quite certain that he was asked to retire from Johns Hopkins because of incipient dementia. And now he won't get off the political stage because of that same ego.

  10. Anonymous12:41 PM

Look at that cutsie pie look on her face and that evil glint in her eyes. While charmed by it, Trump is playing along with it. He knows her. He loves playing these little games with women. Even Megyn Kelly asking him all those stupid questions like she's asking him some profound thing. He looks like he's gritting his teeth and holding his hands together to keep himself from lunging at her and ravaging her. He hates women. A mother thing, of coarse. But we won't go there. Any woman who believes Trump likes you for your' mind is delusional.

  11. I was never romping in that hay anyway.

How seriously would I take a guy who commissions - and hangs in his home - a portrait of himself and Christ looking like a couple of drinking buddies?

    1. Anonymous1:47 PM

" When the library became a bar, Mr. Trump put a portrait of himself on a wall, posing in tennis whites.

“I’ve been in other homes in Palm Beach — same exact painting,” Mr. Senecal confided archly. “Just a different head." Mr. Trump would emerge hours later, in khakis, a white golf shirt and baseball cap. If the cap was white, the staff noticed, the boss was in a good mood. If it was red, it was best to stay away."

Just add Putin and/or Palin. ORGY!

    2. I can only imagine the tacky floor to ceiling portraits of Trump and Melania that would adorn the White House if they got in.

    3. Anonymous3:31 PM

I believe that dvlaries was referencing the creepy painting of Dr. Ben Sleepy Eyes Carson with Jesus that was prominently displayed in his home. Something very wrong with that guy.

If Newt Gingrich is on Donald Trump's shortlist for vice president, the former speaker of the House claimed Tuesday to not know anything about it.

"I don't have any idea how long the short list is. I think if it's 200, I'm probably on it," Gingrich told Fox News' Neil Cavuto during an interview in which the host referenced Trump's remarks last week that he had narrowed down his list of potential running mates to "five or six."

Gingrich brushed it off, remarking, "I know nothing about this stuff" and haven't talked to "anybody at the campaign about it."

"You know, I think that that's something — there's only one person who matters, and that's Donald Trump. He will decide — it's the first really big decision that will shape his presidency," Gingrich said. "I think he intends not to decide until some time in July. And I suspect people will get pretty tired speculating about it some time in the next two or three weeks."

"Trump gets a lot of pleasure out of asserting ownership over women"
Harth's suit against Trump further alleged that Trump tried to corner her in his daughter's bedroom:

The defendant (Trump) over the plaintiff’s objections forcibly prevented plaintiff from leaving and forcibly removed plaintiff to a bedroom, whereupon defendant (Trump) subjected plaintiff to defendant’s unwanted sexual advances, which included touching of plaintiff’s private parts in an act constituting attempted "rape."
Donald held back Ivana’s arms and began to pull out fistfuls of hair from her scalp, as if to mirror the pain he felt from his own operation. He tore off her clothes and unzipped his pants.
