Pro-Trump trolls attempting to create division between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders supporters. Well that explains some things.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

An Internet troll who claims to have found deep divisions among factions of the Left on Twitter laid out a plan Saturday for fellow Donald Trump supporters to exploit those fissures.

Posting on the sometimes-dubious message board 4chan, the anonymous poster wrote a post entitled, “Let’s troll Bernie and Hillary supporters systematically,” where the writer says he/she posed as a Democratic voter and trolled supporters of Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton in an effort to deepen divisions and help Trump secure a victory in November.

“We need to take advantage of this. This is Trump’s gift,” the 4chan troll wrote. “If we’re serious about a Trump presidency we need to start infiltrating their conversations in order to sow more divison (sic). I’m talking systematic and long-term /mischief/, not just a hew minutes trolling dumbass SJW’s. Look at the chaos and damage I was able to make yesterday, just one person, with no real rudeness in my replies. Imagine that writ large: My account is @realJohnMilIer.”

“SJW” stands for “social justice warrior.”

The article then goes on to provide  examples of this John Miller guy working behind to convince others to join his cause and create "mischief" that could help swing the election toward Trump.

The concept is rather simple:

1.If hundreds of accounts on the Hillary or Bernie/Stein side were saying even worse things it’d make the divisions deeper. 2.If we got people to agree with us the opposing sides would blast each other as dangerous extremists but each would defend horrible tweets. 3. Even if a few or a lot of us were caught, it would increase distrust tremendously among ANYONE on the opposing side.

So of course the question we all need to ask ourselves is whether the person who is confronting us in the comments section an actual Bernie/Hillary supporter who is angry with the other side, or is it somebody from the Trump camp throwing gasoline on an already volatile situation hoping to cause an explosion of mistrust?

Personally I think we have seen several examples of exactly that.

I think there is at least one of those here. The intent is to sow discord and doubt. It isn't working(speaking for myself).

I've seen some comments that viciously attack Sanders and I've seen some comments that viciously attack Clinton. And I swear that they are literally written by the same person.

And you see them because of Gryphen's insistence on allowing them unaccountability by hiding behind "Anonymous" instead of insisting that everyone post with an actual name and an e-mail address that he can monitor to keep the trolling at bay.

People can criticize you until the cows come home, Gryph, but you give all sides their right to speak, which is more than can be said for many political sites. Pee puddle a prime example and why I enjoy it here.

I used to like Bernie until he turned into the doddering "get off my lawn" codger that he is today, let alone "Jane His Wife" (shameless Jetsons reference) that was handed $5 and instead snatched the wallet that shut down Burlington college.

  5. A despicable way to skew an opponent's campaign. But then didn't we see this coming when Trump as their leader would only applaud it? One more reason for Bernie's supporters to suck it up and not let this pig of a man and pig of a party win anything.

Trolls like these guys aside, there are a lot of libertarian and unaffiliated voters who are with Sanders simply because he is a "protest" candidate.

They probably don't even know where he stands on most issues. They hear he is against the government (which isn't really true), they see a chance to be publicly angry and shouty, they want to stick it to the "establishment," and that's enough for them.

Most of these people - knee jerk Sanders supporter, not legitimate supporters - don't want income equality that goes beyond their own wallets. They don't care about civil rights except as it pertains to their own.

They could probably vote for Trump as easily as they vote for Sanders.

If they don't know where he stands on the issues they must be really stupid because he has been repeating the same stuff over and over again for months. Sounds like a broken record at this point.

How can he be against the government when he has only held government positions for his whole working career?

He is a career politician and a sneaky one at that.

Let's hope that the real supporters stay civil. I'm not talking about yelling and cheering or even jeering. I'm talking about getting hurt or hurting others. With that many people, it only takes a couple undercover pro-Trump agitators to start something that could turn ugly really fast.

Well, you are not a progressive or a democrat or an informed thinker. I pity you. Do you have the faintest idea that Trump is conning you big time? He is a serial liar. How do you have any idea what he stands for(besides himself)? He contradicts himself daily if not hourly. He is depending on non-thinkers like you to elect him President. If you are not the 1% and he becomes the President, you along with most of the country(world) is in deep doo-doo.

Bernie is as much an ass as is Trump! Bernie isn't even a Democrat for crying out loud and he's doing nothing but create havoc and divide within the party and it's leader!

I know she can't at this point, but I'd love seeing her kick his ass kicked out of the party to which he has no equal thinking or support! The guy is an old, testy, fart who needs to go back to his tiny populated state and smoke dope with wife, Jane, and relax!

I detest the jerk as much as I do Trump!

Vote Hillary Clinton folks - she has the experience and can walk into the job in 2017 and do it!

      That's today's NYT.
Last week at this time everyone was piling on Trump about the front page story about his sorry ass treatment of women.
This week they report TRUTHFULLY about the Clinton Foundation setting up a subsidiary in Canada.
      http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/30/us/politics/canadian-partnership-shielded-identities-of-donors-to-clinton-foundation.html?_r=0&version=meter+at+1&module=meter-Links&pgtype=article&contentId=&mediaId=&referrer=&priority=true&action=click&contentCollection=meter-links-click
So it's a right wing talking point to link to a story in the NYT concerning the Clinton foundation?
What was it called last week when they justifiably kicked Trump's ass?
      Here lemme help ya...
