It appears that Donald Trump might get his giant military parade after all.

Courtesy of WaPo:

President Trump’s vision of soldiers marching and tanks rolling down the boulevards of Washington is moving closer to reality in the Pentagon and White House, where officials say they have begun to plan a grand military parade later this year showcasing the might of America’s armed forces.

Trump has long mused publicly and privately about wanting such a parade, but a Jan. 18 meeting between Trump and top generals in the Pentagon’s tank — a room reserved for top-secret discussions — marked a tipping point, according to two officials briefed on the planning.

Surrounded by the military’s highest-ranking officials, including Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr., Trump’s seemingly abstract desire for a parade was suddenly heard as a presidential directive, the officials said.

“The marching orders were: I want a parade like the one in France,” said a military official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the planning discussions are supposed to remain confidential. “This is being worked at the highest levels of the military.”

Shows of military strength are not typical in the United States — and they don’t come cheap. The cost of shipping Abrams tanks and high-tech hardware to Washington could run in the millions, and military officials said it was unclear how they would pay for it.

Well yeah, how can you be a fascist dictator if you do not have a huge expensive military parade to celebrate your leadership?

We reported on this idea way back in September, but at that time we just laughed it off as absurd.
But now the Pentagon is actually considering it?

Of course giant military parades are a favorite of megalomaniacs.

Like Hitler.

And Vladimir Putin.

You know, all of Trump's idols.

However we typically do not indulge our psychotic leaders here in America.

But then again we also do not typically elect psychotics to be our leader here in America, so I guess we are just making this up as we go along.

Barack Obama finally brings up Hitler while talking about his fears for the future of America.

Courtesy of The Hill:

Former President Obama issued a stark warning against growing nativism in the U.S. and throughout the world at the Economic Club of Chicago on Tuesday, invoking growing complacency and the rise of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.

Obama told the forum's audience during a question and answer session that the danger at hand was "grow(ing) complacent," according to newspaper Crain's Chicago Business.

"We have to tend to this garden of democracy or else things could fall apart quickly," Obama said.

"That's what happened in Germany in the 1930s which, despite the democracy of the Weimar Republic and centuries of high-level cultural and scientific achievements, Adolph Hitler rose to dominate," he continued.

"Sixty million people died. ... So, you've got to pay attention. And vote."

Even if he did not mention him by name, we all know who Obama was talking about.

And it is time that he started to openly recognize what most of us have been talking about all along.

Donald Trump is a fascist and if not removed from office he will destroy this country.

We need people like Barack Obama and other leaders to start saying that openly and often.

Here is video of his speech.

Donald Trump gets the sads about losing all of those "beautiful statues and monuments" to the traitors who fought for the Confederacy in the Civil War.

Yeah those statues must seem really beautiful, unless of course you happen to be a black person whose ancestors were slaves in this country, or even a white person whose ancestor gave their life to defend this country against an army that rose up to battle for the right to keep human beings as property.

But to others who are not among those clearly prejudice folks, I am sure the statues and monuments must seem awesome.

I have been hearing for months now that Steve Bannon was the representative of the Alt-Right racists in the White House, but based on the interview that I posted earlier, and these tweets, I am beginning to firmly believe that the head Nazi in the White House is Trump himself.

Remember this:

Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler's collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed.

I guess this was Hitler's long game.

Sure he lost the 2nd World War, but now after more than 70 years one of his followers is finally in charge of America.

And the Republicans helped him do it.

Totally not the same, except exactly.

If you ever wondered how Germany allowed the rise of the Nazis, well wonder no more.

Watch out Donald Trump, there's a new Hitler in town. No, literally.

Courtesy of New Jersey.com:

A former New Jersey man who gained notoriety for his Nazi allegiances and custody battle over his kids is now officially named Hitler as of Monday, according to mycentraljersey.com.

Born Isidore Heath Campbell, the Shippensburg, Pa. resident his request to change his name to Isidore Heath Hitler was approved in March by a judge and took effect on Monday.

Campbell once tried to have a supermarket inscribe "Happy Birthday Adolf Hitler" on a birthday cake for his son. He would later lose parental rights to his nine children.

Campbell was sentenced to 180 days in jail and two years of probation last year as part of a plea deal he made on charges of resisting arrest and obstructing justice, it was previously reported.

"Isidore?" If this guy was going to change any part of his name, why wouldn't he change that part?

Well you have to admit that his timing is on point.

After all if you are going to live in a newly fascist country you might as well look and sound the part.

It is WAY too early in the morning to be face palming.

One of the policies introduced in Trump's SOTU speech last night comes right out of Adolph Hitler's playbook.

Courtesy of Indy 100:

Donald Trump confirmed in his first State of the Union address that he will publish a regular list of crimes committed by immigrants.

It was initially announced in an executive order he signed during his first week as President, but during his speech he laid out more details of his plan.

"I have ordered the Department of Homeland Security to create an office to serve American Victims.

The office is called VOICE — Victims Of Immigration Crime Engagement. We are providing a voice to those who have been ignored by our media, and silenced by special interests."

Okay that just sounds terrifying and wrong all on its own, I mean why would the crimes committed by non-citizens warrant a different classification than those committed by your typical all American drug dealer, rapist, or murderer?

But it gets even worse when you remember this:

Adolf Hitler also published lists of crimes committed by immigrants.

An article from a Nazi periodical entitled ‘The Criminal Jew’, featured in the book Hitler’s Ethic: The Nazi Pursuit of Evolutionary Progress by professor Richard Weikart, features photos of Jewish people captioned with the crimes they have committed.

"In 1943, a Nazi directive to the German press declared, 'Jews are criminal by disposition. The Jews are not a nation like other nations but bearers of hereditary criminality.'"

That's right, Hitler.

This is how you create an underclass that is always viewed with suspicion by supposedly more upstanding citizens.

Soon the so-called REAL citizens will be seeing criminal activity around every corner, and with every sighting of somebody with brown skin, a thick accent, or wearing traditional clothing from someplace NOT in America.

It is only a hop, skip, and a jump from there to labeling restaurants "For Citizens Only," public lynchings, and using fire hoses and police dogs to break up every gathering of non-Caucasians.

I skipped last night's speech because I knew it would be filled with lies and dangerous policy proposals.

Clearly I was correct.

As for the lies reports are that Trump made 61 statements, 51 of which false.

By the way just to poke the big orange bear, Trump's first SOTU did not get nearly the ratings that Obama's did.

Courtesy of Variety:

Across nine networks — ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, Univision, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and Fox Business — Trump’s speech drew an average audience of 46.82 million from 9:15 to 10:15 p.m. in Nielsen’s still-not-quite-final numbers.

President Obama’s first address pulled in an audience of 52.37 million people across the four broadcast networks, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo, and Univision.

Gee even with over twice as many networks broadcasting the speech, he still could not measure up.

Just a reminder that no matter what he does he will always fall short.

Donald Trump's top Nazi calls the media the "opposition party" and orders it to "keep its mouth shut."

Courtesy of the New York Times:

Just days after President Trump spoke of a “running war’’ with the media, his chief White House strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, ratcheted up the attacks, arguing that news organizations had been “humiliated” by the election outcome and repeatedly describing the media as “the opposition party” of the current administration.

“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while,” Mr. Bannon said in an interview on Wednesday.

“I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

Sure they do. They've been reporting on how James Comey and the Russians stole it for him for over two months now.

Joseph Goebbels went on to say this:

“The elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong,” Mr. Bannon said of the election, calling it “a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there.”

“The mainstream media has not fired or terminated anyone associated with following our campaign,” Mr. Bannon said. “Look at the Twitter feeds of those people: They were outright activists of the Clinton campaign.” (He did not name specific reporters or editors.)

“That’s why you have no power,” he added. “You were humiliated.”

Well I have to agree with him that we were humiliated.

After all most of us were unaware of just how ignorant so many Americans were in this country.

So now the Trump campaign has essentially made it absolutely clear that they are waging a war on the media.

Oh, I'm sorry. Not ALL of the media.

Courtesy of CNN:

President Trump is getting information and affirmation from Fox News, and he's going a step further, openly promoting the conservative cable news channel.

"Turn on Fox," he told ABC's David Muir when confronted by criticism of his speech at CIA headquarters, "and see how it was covered."

Trump said other networks, including ABC, covered the speech "very inaccurately," but he said Fox got it right. He cited Fox's coverage three times. "That speech was a home run. That speech, if you look at Fox, OK, I'll mention you -- we see what Fox said. They said it was one of the great speeches," Trump said.

Go ahead. Say that it is unfair to keep comparing Donald Trump to Hitler.

I dare you.

Former Mormon Tabernacle Choir singer explains why she does not feel "hysterical" in comparing Donald Trump to Hitler.

Courtesy of Mediaite:

On CNN this morning, Carol Costello interviewed Jan Chamberlin, who quit singing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir when it was announced they would be performing at the inauguration of Donald Trump. She explained in late December that she was unwilling to “throw roses to Hitler” and made it clear that she sees Trump’s comments and tactics as ones that will lead to fascism if unchecked.

“Hitler? I mean, some people say that you’ve compared Mr. Trump to Hitler and that just sounds kind of hysterical and over-the-top.”

“I don’t feel hysterical; I feel quite calm,” said Chamberlin before explaining that she felt sure about her decision not to sing.

Yeah nothing about this lady comes off as being hysterical.

In fact I think her answer was quite well thought out and on point.

Donald Trump is indeed a tyrant, and it will only be a matter of time before that fact is no longer something which can be denied.

By anybody!

Man who escaped Nazi Germany warns that much of what he saw there is happening here today.

Courtesy of Know.Org:

A call to action:

I was born in Munich, Germany, in 1920. I lived there during the rise of the Nazi Party and left for the U.S.A. in 1938.

The main elements of the Nazi regime were the suppression of dissent, the purging of the dissenters and undesirables, the persecution of communists, Jews and homosexuals and the ideal of the Aryans as the master race.

The policies started immediately after Hitler came to power, at first out of sight but escalated gradually, leading to the Second World War and the Holocaust. Meanwhile most Germans were lulled into complacency by all sorts of wonderful projects and benefits.

What we see now in our country is very similar to the early days of the Nazi rule in Germany:

The Neo-Nazis and the KKK have become more prominent and get recognition in the press. We are all familiar with Trump's remarks against all Muslims and all Mexicans. But there has not been anything as alarming as the appointment of Steve Bannon as Trump's chief strategist. Bannon has, apparently, made anti-Semitic remarks for years, has recently condemned Muslims and Jews, and he and Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the pick as national security advisor, advocate the political and cultural superiority of the white race. At the same time Trump is trying to control the press.

Thus the entire Nazi ideology is in place already in and around the new government. How far will it get? We can hope that our government of checks and balances will be more resistant than the Weimar Republic was. Don't count on it.

We have to counter this trend toward Fascism in every way we can. Being alert to all manifestations in word and action. Alerting our representatives and urging them to act. Writing to newspapers. Making our friends aware. Demonstrating when appropriate.

 Franz W. Wassermann, M.D.

You know one of the rules for political writing is no Hitler comparisons.

However I think we are long past that being considered hyperbolic or unreasonable.

Donald Trump seems to have taken this country to a new time and place, but perhaps most concerning is that in Germany they would recognize it as an old time and place.

Okay I think it is very immature for us to keep comparing Donald Trump to Adolph Hitler, unless of course there is evidence that he stole his ideas from him. Oh, look here's some

Courtesy of Gizmodo:

Neo-Nazis around the world have made it clear that they’re optimistic about what a Trump presidency will do for their cause. And while countless people have already pointed out just how dangerous Donald Trump’s rise to power has been, the historical parallels to other authoritarian regimes is still shocking. Take, for instance, this article from 1934. The author explains that Hitler was promising to make Germany “great” again.

The article was part of a series on “Modern Leaders of Men” and was syndicated in newspapers across the United States in 1934. It showed up in places like Utah, Arizona, South Carolina, and Missouri. The screenshot above is from the Green Bay Press-Gazette in Wisconsin.

The article tells the story of the rise of Hitler, first explaining that people thought he was merely a joke and “laughed at him.” But that he soon took advantage of Germany’s dissatisfaction with their lot in life.

We are always chastised for comparing politicians and others to Hitler, but what do you do when there is no way to escape the comparison?

I mean the only way that Trump could make this more obvious is if he grew one of those tiny ridiculous mustaches.

Well that's terrifying.

High school teacher gets put on paid leave for comparing Donald Trump to Adolph Hitler.

Courtesy of the Monterey Herald:

A history teacher at Mountain View High School has been placed on paid leave after drawing parallels between Republican President-elect Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler in his lesson plan.

Frank Navarro, who’s taught at the school for 40 years, was asked to leave midday Thursday after a parent sent an email to the school expressing concerns about statements Navarro made in class. Mountain View/Los Altos High School District Superintendent Jeff Harding confirmed the incident Friday but declined to describe the parent’s complaints.

Navarro, an expert on the Holocaust, said school officials declined to read him the email and also declined his request to review the lesson plan with him.

“This feels like we’re trying to squash free speech,” he said. “Everything I talk about is factually based. They can go and check it out. “It’s not propaganda or bias if it’s based on hard facts.”

According to the superintendent Mr. Navarro will be back in the classroom as early as tomorrow and I certainly he picks up his lesson right where he left off.

Personally I don't know what the issue was?

After all if you elect a fascist you should be prepared for educators and the media to point out that they are indeed a fascist.

Donald Trump Jr. compares the media to the Nazis during the Holocaust. Gee, how reasonable of him.

Courtesy of CBS News:

Donald Trump Jr. on Wednesday suggested the media has helped Hillary Clinton by letting her “slide” on “every lie” and said that if Republicans did the same, the media would be “warming up the gas chamber” for them.

“The media has been her number one surrogate in this,” he said in an interview on 1210 WPHT radio in Philadelphia with host Chris Stigall. “Without the media, this wouldn’t even be a contest, but the media has built her up. They’ve let her slide on every in-discrepancy, on every lie, on every DNC game trying to get Bernie Sanders out of this thing. If Republicans were doing that, they’d be warming up the gas chamber right now.”

This is actually blowing up all over social media right now, but I really don't understand why.

After all what do we expect from a guy raised by a man who sleeps with a copy of Adolph Hitler's speeches by his bed?

And by the way the accusation that the media has let Clinton "slide" or has "built her up" is laugh out loud funny.

In truth it is the Doanld who has benefited the most from favorable media coverage, and Hillary who has been subjected to the Spanish Inquisition over every perceived misstep.

Hey, there are even facts to back that up.

There I go again, using facts.

When will I ever learn that nobody cares about those anymore?

Just a reminder that Nazism and Christianity were not polar opposites.

Source
I hate it when people blame Atheists for the Nazi movement.

Everybody knows that for a movement of any real and lasting harm it needs to marry itself to a religion. And that religious folks are drawn to dictators like flies to shit.

That's why the Fundamentalists are jumping on the Trump train by the thousands.

According to Rolling Stone magazine part of Rachel Maddow's preparation for covering Donald Trump is to read up on Adolph Hitler. Seems reasonable.

Courtesy of The Hill:

“What is amazing is the Republican Party that picked him. They had 330 million people to choose from, and they've decided that he is the best one to be the standard-bearer of one of the two major parties of the greatest nation on Earth,” Maddow told the magazine in an interview published Tuesday.

“Like, talk to me, Republican voters! What's the worst-case scenario for America if he wins? It can be pretty bad. You don't have to go back far in history to get to almost apocalyptic scenarios.”

“Is part of you worried we're living through the first few chapters of some dystopian science fiction novel?” interviewer Andy Greene asked.

Maddow responded: “Over the past year I've been reading a lot about what it was like when Hitler first became chancellor. I am gravitating toward moments in history for subliminal reference in terms of cultures that have unexpectedly veered into dark places, because I think that's possibly where we are.”

As I have mentioned in the past comparing modern day politicians to Adolph Hitler is usually considered hyperbolic and ridiculous.

But I would argue that Hitler really is the historic figure that is most similar to Donald J. Trump, and their tactics for garnering support are frighteningly similar.

So I think that Rachel is really on to something here, and it should serve as a warning to all of us as to just how bad this whole thing can get before it is finally over.

A warning by the way that a number of historians are also attempting to broadcast to the American people:

Historians including David McCullough, Ken Burns, Robert Caro, Ron Chernow and Vicki Lynn Ruiz have all posted short videos explaining why Trump’s campaign is disturbing to a Facebook page called “Historians on Donald Trump.”

McCullough, who received the Pulitzer Prize for books on presidents John Adams and Harry Truman, told The New York Times that he does not usually weigh in on contemporary political issues. But the historian, who said he is registered independent, was so disturbed by the possibility of a Trump presidency that he felt compelled to speak out, he told the outlet.

“Like so many others, I keep asking myself, how in the world can it be that the Republican Party, the party of Abraham Lincoln, is on the verge of nominating the likes of Donald Trump for president of the United States?,” McCullough says in his video. McCullough asked why Americans would entrust Trump, someone he said is “clearly unsuited” to be president.

This is not a normal election my friends, and Donald Trump is no normal politician.

He needs to be identified as the fascist that he is and dealt with accordingly.

And that means energizing the voters against him, publicizing every despicable lie he tells, and calling him out on every sneaky and underhanded thing that he does.

Things we learned about Donald Trump: He's not Hitler, and he's not a "groper." Well that's good to know.

Courtesy of CNN:

Melania Trump on Tuesday defended her husband, Donald Trump, against a comparison between him and Adolf Hitler, arguing his campaign is about uniting the country.

Trump also said a GQ reporter who incurred anti-semitic harassment and threats following a profile of the presumptive Republican nominee's wife brought it on herself by penning the feature.

"We know the truth. He's not Hitler. He wants to help America. He wants to unite people. They think he doesn't but he does. Even with the Muslims, it's temporary," Trump told Dujour.com. "Maybe he needs to say it in a softer way. He doesn't go after religions. He feels like we need to know who's coming to this country. If not, we don't have a country. That's how he feels. We see how he is, and he wants to unite the country and bring people together and bring jobs back."

Okay so to be clear Donald Trump is NOT Hitler, he just wants to control one religion's ability to move freely around the country, and if a reporter wants to spare themselves attacks from his supporters they better be careful what they write about him.

Yep nothing Hitler like about that.

Courtesy of Business Insider:

In an interview with CBS that aired Wednesday, Trump said she found the Times report "disturbing" and challenged a claim that the real-estate mogul, who is now the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, groped one of his employees.

"I'm not in every interaction my father has, but he's not a groper. That's not who he is," Ivanka said.

In the Times report, a female employee who worked with Trump at an Atlantic City beauty pageant described a "very traumatic incident" during which the mogul allegedly groped her under a dinner table.

Okay so there you have it Donald Trump is not Hitler and according to his daughter he is NOT a groper.

And after all, wouldn't she know?

Glad to have put all of those nasty rumors to rest, aren't you?

Tuesday, February 23, 2016

Hey you know that thing that you always just assumed about Adolph Hitler? Well it's true.

"No Eva ignore those Jewish bastards I tell you my schwanz is this tall."
Courtesy of the Telegraph:

It has long been suspected that Hitler's conquest of Europe was an attempt to compensate for a lack of potency elsewhere.

But the notorious playground rhyme about his testicles appears to have only told half the story, as a book claims the leader of the Third Reich had a micropenis.

Hitler suffered from a condition called hypospadias which left him with an abnormally small manhood, according to historians Jonathan Mayo and Emma Craigie.

Gee color me completely unsurprised.

After all men have been overcompensating for their sexual inadequacies for years.

Now if only we could discover some outward sign of a man's inadequacies in order to predict potentially anti-social or psychotic reactions to their pre-dick-ament.

Yep if only I could think of something.

No wait, it will come to me.

Pro-life Jeb Bush: "Hell yeah" I'd kill baby Hitler.

Courtesy of The Hill:

Former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.) said in an interview Monday that he would personally kill an infant Adolf Hitler.

“Hell yeah, I would!” he told The Huffington Post when asked about killing the Nazi leader as a baby.

“You gotta step up, man,” the 2016 GOP presidential candidate said. "That would be key."

“The problem with going back in history and doing that, as we know from the series -- what’s the series with Michael J. Fox called? The ‘Back to the Future’ series -- is that it could have a dangerous effect on everything else,” Bush added. "But I’d do it. I mean -- [it is] Hitler.”

Actually he is not technically "Hitler."

I mean yes his last name would still be Hitler but he would not yet have gone through the life experiences that ultimately made him a monster.

Killing a baby because you know he will be a mass murderer someday may seem like a no-brainer, but if you consider what that would mean about you as a person it should give you pause.

I mean taking a life to protect the life of others is a difficulty decision on its own, but killing a baby because you believe it may someday cause great misery and loss of life, well that it another thing altogether.

Besides let's fact it. Jeb! is a Bush.

The Bush family does not do their own dirty work.

If anything Jeb?%$! would more than likely delegate the job to somebody else.

Probably Dick Cheney. Somehow I have NO doubt that HE could crush a baby's skull without losing one damn night of sleep over it.
