Donald Trump's top Nazi calls the media the "opposition party" and orders it to "keep its mouth shut."

Courtesy of the New York Times:

Just days after President Trump spoke of a “running war’’ with the media, his chief White House strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, ratcheted up the attacks, arguing that news organizations had been “humiliated” by the election outcome and repeatedly describing the media as “the opposition party” of the current administration.

“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while,” Mr. Bannon said in an interview on Wednesday.

“I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

Sure they do. They've been reporting on how James Comey and the Russians stole it for him for over two months now.

Joseph Goebbels went on to say this:

“The elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong,” Mr. Bannon said of the election, calling it “a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there.”

“The mainstream media has not fired or terminated anyone associated with following our campaign,” Mr. Bannon said. “Look at the Twitter feeds of those people: They were outright activists of the Clinton campaign.” (He did not name specific reporters or editors.)

“That’s why you have no power,” he added. “You were humiliated.”

Well I have to agree with him that we were humiliated.

After all most of us were unaware of just how ignorant so many Americans were in this country.

So now the Trump campaign has essentially made it absolutely clear that they are waging a war on the media.

Oh, I'm sorry. Not ALL of the media.

Courtesy of CNN:

President Trump is getting information and affirmation from Fox News, and he's going a step further, openly promoting the conservative cable news channel.

"Turn on Fox," he told ABC's David Muir when confronted by criticism of his speech at CIA headquarters, "and see how it was covered."

Trump said other networks, including ABC, covered the speech "very inaccurately," but he said Fox got it right. He cited Fox's coverage three times. "That speech was a home run. That speech, if you look at Fox, OK, I'll mention you -- we see what Fox said. They said it was one of the great speeches," Trump said.

Go ahead. Say that it is unfair to keep comparing Donald Trump to Hitler.

I dare you.

Bannon says: "They [the media] still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States."

He's wrong. The media understand perfectly why Trump is president. The media gleefully smooshed Trump's incoherent ramblings into palatable sound bites. The media gleefully pounded out Benghazi and emailzzzzzz stories daily.

We all know why Donald Trump is president. He has a penis. The other candidate does not have a penis.

The media knows the truth, the politicians know the truth, the voters know the truth. "TRUMP THAT BITCH" decided the election.

Cracks me up! I looked up at his picture .... the word "wash" just struck me as hilarious. He looks like a guy who's been sleeping in an abandoned chicken house with a bottle in a paper bag.

Conway looks like a meth head. And Sonny Perdue who is in line for Ag Dept. Head Chicken Man is best butties with disgraced minister Gothard, the perv Duggar minister who has molested 34 women and is DJT's spiritual adviser.

  20. Jake Tapper replies: "uh, no."

Thus should every media outlet respond to Bannon's call to shut up. uh, NO!

And in the Trump still can't let it go category we have:

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-inauguration-crowd-national-park-service_us_588a951be4b0230ce61b0b5e?

"President Donald Trump personally called the head of the National Park Service on the day after his inauguration to ask for photographic evidence that would support his claims about the size of the crowd at the event, The Washington Post reported.

A National Park Service official confirmed to The Huffington Post that the call took place on Saturday but would not comment further."

"According to The Washington Post’s sources, Trump asked Michael T. Reynolds, the National Park Service’s acting director, to turn over more photos of the Mall, suspecting that additional photos would support his crowd size claim. Reynolds reportedly complied with the request, but the photos did not support the numbers the president had touted. "

"On Friday, the agency retweeted photographs comparing Trump and Obama’s inauguration crowds. Shortly after, the agency was ordered to stop using its Twitter account, later telling CNN its account was frozen in order to determine if it had been hacked.

Then, after staffers at the Environmental Protection Agency said they were told to cease social media use and communication with the media, the official account for Badlands National Park in South Dakota began tweeting facts about climate change. The tweets have since been deleted, and the agency said they were posted by a former employee.

On Wednesday, Death Valley National Park in California began a similar social media campaign, tweeting about the imprisonment of Japanese-Americans during World War II just as Trump signed an executive order restricting the entry of refugees from predominantly Muslim countries.

Twitter users have rallied around NPS staffers, and several “alternative” national park accounts have popped up in recent days."

Keith Olbermann has nailed Trump at every turn. He is mentally unstable. He is obsessed about "winning". And he just can't let this numbers at his inauguration thing go.

Trump is a LOSER. He LOST the popular vote. He LOST as far as his inauguration goes in both those physically present and those watching through various media. He is a LOSER when it comes to approval ratings and popularity.

And it's eating him up inside. He can't handle it. This is what is going to do him in. The constant reminder that he is a LOSER and a majority of the people HATE him.

  21. Time for a repost on Fascism.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over” Joseph Goebbels

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda." —George W. Bush, Greece, N.Y., May 24, 2005
    -President Bush

"It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion." Joseph Goebbels

"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." - Benito Mussolini.

    Danger signs of fascism:

    1. Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism.
    2. Disdain for the importance of human rights.
    3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause.
    4. The supremacy of the military/avid militarism.
    5. Rampant sexism.
    6. A controlled mass media.
    7. Obsession with national security.
    8. Religion and ruling elite tied together.
    9. Power of corporations protected.
    10. Power of labor suppressed or eliminated.
    11. Disdain and suppression of intellectuals and the arts.
    12. Obsession with crime and punishment.
    13. Rampant cronyism and corruption.
    14. Fraudulent elections.

(How many out of those 14 has Trump hit?)

    Here are some more signs:

    1. Instability of capitalist relationships or markets

    2. The existence of considerable declassed social elements

    3. The stripping of rights and wealth focused upon a specific segment of the population, specifically the middle class and intellectuals within urban areas as this is the group with the means, intelligence and ability to stop fascism if given the opportunity.

    4. Discontent among the rural lower middle class (clerks, secretaries, white collar labor). Consistent discontent among the general middle and lower middle classes against the oppressing upper-classes (haves vs have-nots).

    5. Hate: Pronounced, perpetuated and accepted public disdain of a specific group defined by race, origin, theology or association. (How often have you heard the words "Homo", "Gay" or "Liberal" used in such a manner?)

    6. Greed: The motivator of fascism, which is generally associated with land, space or scarce resources in the possession of those being oppressed.

    7. Organized Propaganda:

    A) The creation of social mythology that venerates (creates saints of) one element of society while concurrently vilifying (dehumanizing) another element of the population through misinformation, misdirection and the obscuring of factual matter through removal, destruction or social humiliation, (name-calling, false accusations, belittling and threats).

    B) The squelching of public debate not agreeing with the popular agenda via slander, libel, threats, theft, destruction, historical revisionism and social humiliation. Journalists in particular are terrorized if they attempt to publish stories contrary to the agenda.

(How many of those 7 are we living with?)

    **********

We may be a "flawed democracy" now but we are slipping fast and further down the list. Active responsibility can be laid at the Republican's door but passive responsibility can be laid at the door of the Democratic Party for failure to stop it.

    This didn't start with Trump.

I say this because of the bravado trump displays that is not backed by substance....and Mussolini eventually needed Hitler to bail him out of some situations caused by his incompetence.

It's an interesting insight into the Trump/Bannon mentality. They seem to think that the media should have been punished for not predicting the election results. The very fact that they predicted a Clinton win together with all the mean stuff they have said and written about the Donald proves that they were playing for the other team, right? They were losers and should have lost their jobs. They should be feeling a crushing sense of humiliation that their side didn't win despite all their efforts to play so unfairly.
