Sen. Lindsey Graham wants to take a little peek at Donald Trump's business ties with Russia. In response Trump lawyers up.

Courtesy of Reuters:

U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said on Tuesday he wants to know more about President Donald Trump's business dealings in relation to Russia, but that congressional investigations may have to avoid the matter if they conflict with an FBI probe.

Graham asked former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper at a Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing on Monday whether he had concerns about Russian ties to Trump's business interests. Clapper said he could not comment because the issue could be a subject of an ongoing investigation.

CNN reported on Tuesday that Graham intended to look into Trump's business ties to see if any connections exist between Russia and the Trump campaign or the president's associates.

After this news broke yesterday MSNBC's Katy Tur tweeted this:
"He has no business in Russia. He has no connections to Russia."

Okay that right there is demonstrably untrue.

Has anybody else noticed that many of Trump's most recent responses to the Russia probe, such as the firing of James Comey, the attempt to play down his associations with Paul Manafort, Carter Page, and Michael Flynn, and this most recent hiring of this new lawyer, seem almost like subconscious admissions of guilt?

Or is that just me?

It's not just you. A person on his level, an innocent person, wouldn't lawyer up this fast. He'd wait until and if impeachment hearings start.

Unless he knows something about that that we don't.

  5. People like him know the truth, they just try to keep it pushed down. And some Republicans who never could stand him see blood in the water. This may get very interesting. I'm a bit worried.

That long elevator ride down to reality is brutal for the lair trump. The guy is a complete documented classic mental case. His mental disorder of being a serial liar is dangerous. He must resign today. He has put this country in harms way. Even pence wont work. It must be temporarily assigned to ryan paul and then he will be impeached also. Plain and simple trump took down many lousy actors all acting for trump scam. They are no better for their dirty deeds against americans.

When trump comes out with this nonsense, my first reaction is usually; "How stupid does he think people are?" And then I remember, 60 plus million people were stupid enough to vote for him.

But that figure was NOT the majority voters in America! Hillary got the majority and still has the same support and probably even more! Trump does not.

Trump needs to be IMPEACHED 'before' he completely takes our country into the abyss! He's inept and NOT pro America and Americans!

    I don't get it?

The President has White lawyers provided to him for free and he hires and has more confidence with outside lawyers?

So that doesn't leave America with any confidence with the government provided White House lawyers who has provided legal advice to Trump regarding:

    A. Dropping the Mother Of All

    B. Bombs Rounding up illegal aliens

    C. Tomahawk attacks on Syria

    D. Banning Muslims

    E. Trump and his kids violating the Foreign Emoluments Clause

    F. Until yesterday the WH lawyers have been advising Trump regarding the Trump - Russian investigation

    G. Firing anybody getting too close to the Trump - Russian scandal

    H. Providing other legal advice

What the fuck are American taxpayers paying the White House Counsel for?

Trump fired US Attorney Preet Bharara!

Trump fired Acting Attorney General Yates!

    Trump fired FBI Comey!

If Trump doesn't have confidence with the WH lawyers and has to hire lawyers from a private firm to represent and advise him, then

WHY NOT FIRE THE WHOLE BUNCH OF WHITE HOUSE LOSER LAWYERS?

Things to know about Trump's firing of FBI Director Comey
By NANCY BENAC - The Associated Press

    FINDING A REPLACEMENT
The search is on for both short- and long-term replacements.
Comey's deputy, FBI veteran Andrew McCabe, became acting director after Comey was fired. But Attorney General Jeff Sessions and senior leaders at Justice are interviewing additional candidates to do the interim job until a successor is nominated by Trump and confirmed by the Senate to a full 10-year term.

As for a permanent replacement, Trump promised someone "who will do a far better job, bringing back the spirit and prestige of the FBI." Among names generating speculation: former New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke and Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., who led the investigation into the deadly attacks on a U.S. facility in Benghazi, Libya.

Is the rumor true that Trump plans on nominating Rudy Giuliani to permanently replace James Comey?

    Trey Gowdy - FBI Director

Picking Rep. Trey Gowdy, the South Carolina Republican and former federal prosecutor, would electrify Trump's Republican base.

Almost immediately after Comey's departure went public, right-wing blogs and websites jumped at the chance to push Gowdy, who became a champion of the right when he led the committee looking into Clinton's handling of the 2012 Benghazi attack.

Several blogs even started petitions urging Trump to appoint Gowdy director of the FBI.

Gowdy was critical of Comey's decision not to prosecute Clinton over her use of a private email server, but said in the wake of his firing that the former FBI director "had a very difficult job."

Like Giuliani and Christie, it would be difficult for Trump to confirm Gowdy, given his clear partisan bent and the fact he endorsed the President during the 2016 Republican primary.
