It appears that not even Fox News can continue to provide cover for Roy Moore.

Courtesy of Newsweek:

On Friday night, Sean Hannity opened his prime time Fox News program by playing an audio recording of his interview, conducted on his radio show the day before, with former Alabama chief justice Roy S. Moore, now running for a Senate seat from that state. Hannity then turned to a panel of three pundits, asking them whether Moore sufficiently defended himself against the damning allegations of child molestation and sexual misconduct that surfaced in The Washington Post the day before.

“You ended his candidacy,” declared Geraldo Rivera, citing Moore’s inability to unequivocally say that he had never dated teenage girls when he was in his 20s and 30s, after he’d left the U.S. Army and turned to law. “I would urge Republicans to postpone the special election,” Rivera said.

Gregg Jarrett, a Fox News legal analyst, was no more kind. “I found his answers to be unconvincing and implausible, his entire story to be, in a word, unbelievable. Which means he’s lying.” Moore has called the allegations against him “fake news,” suggesting that The Washington Post was motivated by a political agenda.

Jarrett said Moore “should step aside.” A few congressional Republicans have made similar calls, but Moore has vowed to stay in the race. He will have to continue without funding from the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which will no longer support his candidacy.

Remember this discussion tool place on Fox News, on Sean Hannity's program.

Trump calls Hannity almost every night so that Hannity can tell him bullshit bedtime stories before the Tangerine Fuhrer falls asleep with a mouthful of masticated Big Mac and his tiny orange dick in his hand.

Once Fox News bails on Moore, all he will have left is Steve Bannon, Breitbart, and Right Wing radio.

And they may well bail on him as well at some point.

Bristol Palin baby bump day two.

So yesterday we learned that Bristol has learned absolutely NOTHING about birth control in the six and a half years since Tripp's birth. (Wow! Are there really over 700 comments on that post?)

Sometime after the initial spate of giggles died down people began focusing on the fact mentioned in the above graphic of Bristol's almost shocking hypocrisy. (Some of the best comments can be found here on this comment thread from Reddit.)

Columnist Dan Savage also mentioned the hypocrisy of the Right Wing and in particular Fox News:

If Bristol Palin's last name was "Obama" the whole Hee Haw gang at Fox News would spend half of every day for the next nine months telling us that Bristol Obama has terrible parents—"Maybe Michelle should be less concerned with what your kids are eating and more concerned with what her kids are doing!"—and the other half of the day pretending to fret over the terrible example that Bristol Obama was setting for other African American women and girls. But unplanned pregnancies and kids in fatherless homes and two different children by two different fathers?

This obvious and accurate point seems to have irritated Geraldo Rivera, who tweeted this concerning the story "fxck you jerk off. Fox news doesn't have a reaction to anyone's pregnancy."

(Yes, of course as we know Fox News always takes the high road.)

A little closer to home I have been receiving a lot of incoming missives from people here in Alaska saying that there is NO WAY the baby is Dakota's and that Bristol is setting him up to pay years of unnecessary child support.

I agree 100% so I sent that Radar Online link to Dakota's Facebook page along with advice to demand a blood test, where it now remains the top comment out of 56 replies to his initial post promoting some company.

My hope is that Dakota will say something publicly about the pregnancy, which would be both awesome and kind of necessary for him if he wants to dodge this particular bullet.

As of this writing Sarah has not yet bothered to weigh in, though I cannot imagine her staying silent for much longer.

That will also be pretty awesome.

Benghazi hoax falls apart on Fox and Friends as Geraldo Rivera refuses to promote the conspiracy.

Courtesy of Media Matters:

RIVERA: Admiral Mike Mullen, appointed by President Bush, says there was no military asset available. I have investigated this from the Air Force assets in Aviano to the special forces in Tripoli and in Italy and in other places. Whatever was available in our fleet resources, AFRICOM, there was no forces that could have intervened. There was no gunship available as the myth suggested. There was no 'stand down order' given by concentrating on the -- and the military is not the SWAT team. They're not the fire department.

If the jets Aviano had scrambled, they would have had to jettison their tanks at night, going over to a situation that they could have easily been taken down by a handheld RPG. To what end? We didn't have a target. It could would have been mounted, that mission was a suicide mission, it could not have happened.

I am not typically a fan of Rivera's but I think it is admirable that he refuses to buy into this scandal when all of the evidence proves that there is no there there.

Geraldo Rivera compares wearing a hoodie to flying a pirate flag. No, seriously.

So this shows up on Rivera's Twitter page yesterday.

I know right?

Now there is so much wrong with this statement that I almost don't know where to begin. Almost.

Perhaps Fox News's answer to Rico Suave should realize that pirate's flew the Jolly Roger in order to terrify the crews on shipping vessels that they were about to board, and that Trayvon Marton was wearing a hoodie sweatshirt, just like teens of all colors do all over this county, too keep the rain off of his head.

The idea that the hoodie is a menacing type of clothing is ridiculous, and in this case racist.

Comparing a hoodie to a pirate flag is like saying that people with tattoos are potential criminals

Or that people who ride motorcycles are gang members.

Or that men who sport mustaches are douchebags.

Though he DOES make a strong case for that last one.

Trayvon Martin was an innocent kid walking home from a store with a bag of Skittles and a bottle of tea. He could have been wearing a full Nazi uniform and carrying a copy of Mein Kampf it STILL would not have justifed George Zimmerman putting a bullet in his heart.

Asshole!

LeBron James tweets picture of solidarity for Trayvon Martin.

This picture was posted on Lebron James's Twitter account.

This from the Huffington Post:

The tweet from the NBA superstar comes days after the Million Hoodie March, during which protesters wore hoodies to show solidarity with Martin's family. Pictures of people in hoodies in solidarity have been flooding social networking sites

Of course while these acts of solidarity with Trayvon Martin are sweeping the nation, you can always trust the Conservatives to take the adversarial point of view.

In this case it comes from that Hispanic Uncle Tom, Geraldo Rivera:

I am urging the parents of black and Latino youngsters, particularly, to not let their young children go out wearing hoodies. I think the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon Martin’s death as George Zimmerman was.

Yep in Geraldo's world the fault lies in the choice of clothing, NOT with easy access to the handgun used to kill this young man, or the racism that seemed to inspire George Zimmerman to follow him and murder him in cold blood.

Sometimes I think they should have closed up Al Capones' vault with Geraldo Rivera still in it!
