Hillary Clinton is continuing her efforts to connect with young voters by having actor Lena Dunham campaign on her behalf in Iowa next month.
Dunham, the star and creator of the HBO show Girls, will appear at campaign rallies in Des Moines and Iowa City on 9 January. In an email sent out by the Clinton campaign, a staffer wrote: “Lena’s coming to spend some time with the Hillary for Iowa team, and you could meet her … Just picture the selfie you’ll take together after you talk about how much you both love Hillary and other super-smart feminists you know!”
Clinton previously appeared in an online interview with Dunham in September and also recently filmed a cameo for the Comedy Central show Broad City about two female best friends in their 20s who live in New York.
Dunham, whose HBO show often features her appearances in the nude, has long been vocal about her support for Clinton’s campaign and her ardent advocacy for abortion rights. Dunham even dressed up as a Planned Parenthood doctor for Halloween.
Well as we know Dunham drives the conservatives out of their ever loving minds, in fact Sarah Palin went on rant about her back in June, so this is definitely going to attract a lot of vitriol from the mouth breathers.
But then again they are already so freaked out about Hillary, that in the long run it probably doesn't matter.
After all even if Jesus himself came out in favor of Hillary they would probably nail him to the cross as well.
Too soon?
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Well you just know this is going to piss off the conservatives.

Courtesy of Page Six: Malia Obama’s already a first daughter — but she also just wants to be one of the “Girls.”
President Obama’s elder daughter was spotted in Williamsburg on Thursday, casually sipping a soft drink while hanging out on the set of the raunchy Lena Dunham comedy.
The 16-year-old — who turns 17 on Saturday — spent about three hours on location in Brooklyn as the HBO show filmed at the Aurora Ristorante, a hipster haven on Grand Street.
Well considering how much the conservatives hate Dunham, and of course their all but overwhelming hatred for the President, I think we can rest assured that this is going to cause some Right Wing heads to explode.

Sarah Palin goes on the Hannity show to defend Josh Duggar and attack the media for doing its job.
Essentially if you read my post from last Thursday concerning Palin's venom spewing Facebook post defending the Duggars and attacking Lena Dunham you have the gist of what Palin did last night on Fox.
However it is one thing to read a post where she completely loses her shit, and quite another to watch her do it live on TV.
First off she looks like every late night bar floozy the morning after their walk of shame back to their home. Her hair is disheveled, her lip gloss slapped on with a trowel, and she appears to be recovering from a night of whiskey shots and several rounds of sex in the cab of somebody's pickup truck.
But of course the worst is when she opens her maw.
First she completely misrepresents Lena Dunham's story about her childhood, in an attempt to paint a seven year old as a sexual deviant, and then almost hilariously attempts to sugarcoat Josh Duggar's far more egregious sexual predation:
"And yet they try to crucify and entire family for a fourteen year old boy's issue. Which was a bad, bad, bad issue."
Yeah multiple molestation on members of your own family is something more than an "issue." Even a "bad, bad, bad" one.
Hannity then uses footage of the Duggar girls from their interview with Megyn Kelly to show them as victims of the media. The media in this case, it should be pointed out, being Fox News itself.
Palin at this point suggests that people make their living by digging up things about conservative families, like hers, in order to "destroy them and their reputation." (Wait, was that aimed at me?)
"Yeah these girls are being re-victimized, for shame on the media for, under the guise of ‘Hey, gotta let them have their say anyway,’ let’s interview them and put them there, back into the fire, and let them explain. They’re innocent! And these girls yeah, so humiliated.”
Once again let me point out that this re-victimization took place on Fox News. Not some liberal media outlet.
Palin then expands her attack to go after the officials who released the police reports
"The release of these confidential records is...it's tragic, it's illegal, it's unethical. Why isn't the dialogue going right now towards 'Hey let's get that law enforcement official. He, or her, who released this file. It was confidential."
All of that of course is untrue as these are NOT confidential records under Arkansas law, and In Touch Magazine did everything legally and used good journalistic techniques to break a huge story.
And isn't it rather chilling to hear her calling for people to "go after" a law enforcement official?
At the end of the interview Hannity asks the question that all media folks are required to ask Palin, and that concerns the 2016 race.
"Well I'm glad that of course the GOP has a deep bench, because competition is good, it makes everyone so much better, work harder, produce more. Uh this is as opposed to the Democrat bench which is obviously quite shallow. I mean who the heck do they have? That's why it is going to be Hillary, and I'll bet you anything that it will be Hillary as their nominee despite kind of the games the media's playing right now. Sort of giving a coupled of other guys the shot. You know, the old college try, let'em at least be seen as being covered fairly so that when the time comes for Hillary Clinton to be knighted as their nominee they'll be able to say 'Hey we covered everybody.'"
After that Palin hilariously calls liberals "sheeple," which demonstrates how little she understand the progressive mindset, and the interview ends with Hannity playing music over her in an attempt to drown her out while trying to get her to recognize that the interview is over dammit!
I imagine that after this interview Plain went downstairs, kicked the pig, and then bitched about the fact that she was just getting warmed up and had so much more to say about that wonderful Duggar pedophile and that bitch Hillary.
I think I probably say something like this after every one of these Fox News appearance, but I really think that Palin's mental deterioration is even worse than the last time we saw her spitting venom all over her Wasilla studio.

Ana Marie Cox takes on the Sarah Palin pro-Duggar family tirade.
Now I am not sure how many of you know this, but I am a big fan of Ana Marie Cox.
I started to follow her back when she started Wonkette, and I have kept up with her various TV appearances and written contributions ever since.
So when I saw that she was weighing in on the Palin debacle I knew I would need to share it with all of you.
Here is a portion of a much longer article:
By now you may have read Sarah Palin’s florid attack on Lena Dunham. She and her daughter Bristol both attempted the same pathetic sleight-of-hand to distract from the ongoing grotesquerie of the Duggar family values. Go take a look, if you have time and can get past the all-caps intro. The caps-lock key is the Palin family's rhetorical open-carry, deployed in the mistaken belief that it makes the bearer seem more formidable, when really it underscores the weakness of the case.
Sarah’s tirade in particular radiates schoolyard smugness, the smirk of a lunchroom bully who thinks she’s scored a sick burn on the class nerd—she doesn’t just think she’s made a devastating point, she’s already figuratively turning around to accept high-fives from her pals.
Yeah Ana Marie does not pull any punches here.
Cox goes onto differentiate between what Josh Duggar did to his sisters and the more innocent, and far more common, exploration that Dunham did when she was a young child.
But then Cox expands her piece to address the fact that it seems some conservatives are now making outlandish statements in an attempt to attract media attention, and that it seems they find their credibility among their own through a shared sense of victimhood.
A victimization by the way that they perceive as coming from the very "liberal" media sources whose attention they are so desperate to attract.
To illustrate that point further Cox turns back to Palin:
What does Sarah Palin’s own fame stand on now these days, anyway? A caps-lock key and a sense of grievance. It’s not much, but these days, it’s all any conservative celebrity needs. Ironically, it’s their grievance that makes them worthy of attention from the mainstream media as well. The Duggars’ and Palins’ off-the-map political and world views are what draw attention. Outsiders want to stare at the spectacle.
It is not a new observation, we have made it here on IM ourselves several times in fact, but one has to admit that as the public and media tire of the spectacle, people like Sarah Palin become ever more willing to say and do things simply to shock with no recognition of the damage that it does to what is left of their brand.
Sarah Palin has not simply diminished herself into becoming a punchline on late night TV. She is now the punchline that the host can barely bring himself to share.
And what is even more disturbing is that she has somehow led many of her fellow conservatives down the very same path.

Back in 2009 we used to entertain ourselves by imagining what the end of Sarah Palin's career might look like. Back then it was all just fun and games, but seeing it today in stark reality is actually a little sickening. Sarah Palin has not simply diminished herself into becoming a punchline on late night TV. She is now the punchline that the host can barely bring himself to share.
And what is even more disturbing is that she has somehow led many of her fellow conservatives down the very same path.

There really is no other way to describe this than "Sarah Palin completely loses her shit in response to criticism directed at the Duggar family. "
Let me just preface this post by saying that though I believe that Palin had help from a ghostwriter, that the anger and vitriol that emanates from this Facebook post feels like it is all Palin.
You might want to sit down for this:
HEY LENA, WHY NOT LAUGH OFF EVERYONE'S SEXUAL "EXPERIMENTS" AS YOU HAUGHTILY ENJOY REWARDS FOR YOUR OWN PERVERSION? YOU PEDOPHILE, YOU
(Holy shit!)
Radical liberals in media who have total control over public narratives are disgusting hypocrites, so says my daughter. Go get 'em, Bristol!
(Here Palin links to a Nancy French post over at Brancy's blog. However while that post is ugly, is pales in comparison to what you are about to read.)
The intolerant left's destructive personal intrusions and narrow-mindedness applied to their chosen targets are bad enough, but their double standards are beyond the pale. I’m not defending the Duggar boy's obvious wrongdoing over a decade ago. The main victim in any story like this isn't the perpetrator, it's the innocent ones so harmfully affected. (Yes, I agree. The real victims in the Duggar case were the young girls that the parents failed to protect.)
I’m not an apologist for any sexual predator, but I’m sickened that the media gives their chosen ones a pass for any behavior as long as they share their leftwing politics. Case in point, they suggest Lena Dunham's sexual assault on her sibling is cute, and she's rewarded for it with fame and fortune. Meanwhile, they crucify another, along with an entire family. (To be clear Lena Dunham's incident took place while she was seven years old, when she examined her one year old sister's vagina. That is not legally considered sexual assault.)
The Duggar debate needs to shift from solely the boy's obvious wrongdoing when he was 14 years old to now include:
1) The shocking, unethical leak of a private, legally protected counseling document by a politically motivated law enforcement official. Media - time to go after her or him for illegalities and for destroying the public's trust in law enforcement. (So just like the Duggars Palin is more upset with the leaked police report rather than the fact that the assaults happened in the first place.)
2) The media's hell-bent mission to go after the entire Duggar family for one member’s wrongdoing, while giving a total pass to perverted actions of someone like Lena Dunham - or any other leftwinger celeb caught doing awful things. (The parents are actually the ones who deserve the criticism, not Josh or his victims, because THEY should have known better.) Remember reports of the pedophile billionaire our former democrat president has been friends with and hung out with on the pedophile's "orgy island” full of underage girls? (That last allegation remains unsubstantiated.)
Such obvious double standards applied to equally relevant stories underestimate the wisdom of the public, discredit the press, and spit on the graves of every American who fought and died for the press's freedom. (What?)
I hate for anyone to go through this game liberals are allowed to play, relentlessly attacking on an uneven playing field until a conservative's career, relationships, and reputation are destroyed. To the media's targets I encourage, "Rise above by never claiming 'victim', tell the truth, and keep the faith!"
And, for what it's worth, "Welcome to my world; believe me - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!" (Oh I forgot, everything is always about Sarah Palin.)
- Sarah Palin
Is it clear to come out yet?
Holy crap! Is she off her meds or what?
That response is so over the top I am quite literally shell shocked.
However let's straighten a few things up shall we?
Josh Duggar repeatedly molested his younger sisters and, at least once, a baby sitter while they slept between the ages of fourteen and fifteen. He also touched a much younger sister under her clothes while she sat on his lap and she was fully awake. His parents knew about these incidents and failed to get him the help he needed or to protect his sisters from his predatory impulses.
A few years after these incidents the Duggar family launched a reality show where they presented themselves to be a deeply religious, and morally upright family, and invited close public scrutiny knowing all along that they had a dark secret to hide. (They even had gay production staff fired because they saw them as deviant.)
Lena Dunham voluntarily wrote in her book that she inspected her sister's vagina when she was seven and her sister was a one year old, and then at thirteen masturbated herself while her sister slept beside her. (Remember she touched herself, and NOT her sister. )
Dunham also wrote that she bribed her sister to kiss her on the lips for five seconds. Still within the normal realm of childish exploration.
So no, Lena Dunham does NOT deserve to be labeled a pedophile.
Liberals are not being hypocrites, liberals are recognizing that there is an obvious difference between what Josh Duggar did TO his sisters and the normal exploration that Lena Dunham did with hers.
However the fact that Palin became THIS angry about all of this, certainly once again raises the question of her own childhood and what might have happened to her when she was young and vulnerable.

Apparently Sarah Palin is angry at Savannah Guthrie for calling her out for taking a cheap shot at President Obama in her ghostwritten Facebook post.
![]() |
| "At least he didn't eat it!" |
However here is what she told them:
In contrast, in an interview the day before this Lena Dunham lovefest, Guthrie asked me if I, after enduring days of hate and threats spewed at my family again, took a ‘cheap shot’ at Obama by merely mentioning his admittance to eating dead dog in the plainspoken post I wrote defending my innocent son and his good dog. She was inferring, of course, that my reference to an established fact is beyond the pale, but apparently Lena Dunham’s knowing indictment of a totally innocent man is perfectly respectable.
What is immediately clear here is that as Palin bitches that Guthrie called her out for her cheap shot directed at the President, she does so while taking yet another cheap shot at a young woman discussing an incredibly painful experience in her life.
Apparently the conservatives, who have long vilified Lena Dunham, are convinced that she is making up her allegations of being raped and are attempting to shame her out of show business.
I know very little about Dunham's experiences, but I do know enough to know that MOST women do not make up false rape accusations, and if they do, they do not typically put them in book form.
However how like Sarah Palin to immediately go on the attack against a fellow woman and land on the side of the conservative men who hate her?
