So since yesterday's post we have learned a few more details.
First off is that we now have an actual copy of the official complaint.
When you read it, especially Track's testimony, it appears that Todd and Sarah had ample time to notify the police BEFORE Track arrived to kick Todd's ass, but failed to do so until things got really out of hand.
There were no children in the home so everybody can stop worrying about them.
However after the badly beaten Todd was able to get away from Track he apparently abandoned his wife and jumped in his car.
She was also able to get out on her own it seems and was in a second vehicle exiting the compound when the police arrived.
Track was still inside screaming at nobody and high as a freaking kite.
The complaint also says that after pointing his gun at Track that Todd "decided" that he was not going to shoot his son as he broke in through the window.
Personally I doubt that Todd ever intended to actually use the gun, but he did indeed point it at Track and threaten him with it.
That is some good parenting right there.
According to Court View Britta Hanson, his first baby mama, also petitioned for a protective order, which she quickly received.
Now I assumed that this was a preemptive move on her part, after hearing about this incident at the compund, but Zaki told me that he believes she could not have received one of these unless there was an actual physical threat made against her, which indicates that more may have happened that night than we know right now.
All in all it is beyond obvious that Track's addictions continue to control his life.
According to various sources I have talked to in the past Track has been abusing and selling drugs for more than a decade now, and in fact that may be how he is currently paying his bills.
Sarah had a real opportunity to help this young man, and instead she attempted to "save" him from himself and now this is the result.
It appears that Track remains in custody, and is still not represented by counsel which I think indicates that Ma and Pa Palin are finished covering for his loser ass and that he is now truly on his own.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

It's been revealed that one of the Duggars from the reality show "19 and Counting" is a child molester. Seriously who didn't see that coming? Update!
Courtesy of In Touch:
Jim Bob Duggar waited more than a year after his son, Josh, confessed to sexually molesting several female minors before contacting police, In Touch Magazine is reporting exclusively, based on information contained in the official police report.
What’s more, Jim Bob informed the elders of his church about Joshua’s actions and they waited three months before contacting authorities. The explosive new information is contained in a Springdale, Ark., police report obtained by In Touch magazine.
The report has been hidden since 2006 and was just obtained by the mag through a Freedom of information Act request. Jim Bob also refused to allow police to interview Josh when they opened a felony investigation in 2006. The Duggars star on TLC’s hit show 19 Kids and Counting.
In Touch provides a copy of the very damning police report which reveals that Josh had molested at least five children multiple times, which included touching the breasts and vagina of a sleeping 14 year old girl.
What's more when his father, Jim Bob Duggar, first heard of the molestations he did not immediately contact the police instead choosing to discipline his son on his own. He and his wife also lied to the police about sending Josh to a Christian counseling center when instead they sent him to hang out with a family friend.
Since this all came to light Duggar has made a statement to People magazine, which glosses over the seriousness of this abuse:
"Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends," Josh, 27, tells PEOPLE in a statement. "I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life."
Josh was also a spokesman for the Family Research Council, which of course was founded by James Dobson a man who promoted the idea of using corporeal punishment on your children so long as you don't leave any marks.
However that gig is over now:
"Today Josh Duggar made the decision to resign his position as a result of previously unknown information becoming public concerning events that occurred during his teenage years.
"Josh believes that the situation will make it difficult for him to be effective in his current work. We believe this is the best decision for Josh and his family at this time. We will be praying for everyone involved," concluded Perkins.
"Josh believes that the situation will make it difficult for him to be effective in his current work." Gee, ya think?
Of course it did not take long for people to start making certain connections.
Now one of the reasons that I did not jump on this story when it first broke was because, well first I was waiting for credible news outlets to follow up, and second it seems that these incidents happened when Josh was only fourteen or fifteen years old.
Since I work with young people who have also engaged in similar activities as teens, I was a little hesitant to condemn Josh for activities that he may never have revisited as he grew older. (Some of these kids live with the label of "sexual predator" even though they never abused another child for the remainder of their lives.)
However, and this is the REAL scandal as far as I am concerned, his parents are completely culpable for not notifying the police or getting their son the actual counseling that he needed at the time. Not only that but any children who were molested after they first learned of the incident are the fault of their incompetence as parents and their failing as human beings to protect children in their care.
So for that reason, more than Josh's possibly continued predilections, this story needs to be seen far and wide. If for no other reason than the inherent hypocrisy of the family's anti-gay rhetoric.
Update: Here is the police report, which seems to confirm that the molested children were Josh's own sisters. (Who else would be sleeping in his house night after night?) So we can now add incest to the list of charges.

Unbelievably Sarah Palin simply cannot resist once again using her daughter Bristol to play the victim card.
So Palin already came riding in on her white moose to come to her poor, sad, pathetic daughter's aid once.
But clearly that is not enough. So she fired up the old ghostwriter again and had another Facebook post uploaded on her behalf:
I thought I'd seen it all, but this one leaves me with that punch-in-the-gut, flabbergasted shock that I can't shake anymore while witnessing the media's free fall into that damaging darkness covering America. The media is at fault for so many aspects of the division and hopelessness running rampant in our society. It's not the people – it's the media perpetuating a sense of injustice and despair, resulting in apathy or desperation in homes and communities all across our country. The degradation falls on your shoulders, media principals. Though many have tried to give CNN the benefit of the doubt with their overall news coverage (in fact I've even been happy to publicly point out issues CNN has fairly covered), shame on us if we continue to support their unprofessional, hypocritical, and unethical news coverage. It's truly sickening, yet strangely laughable, their underestimation of the wisdom of their audience. Compare these two videos Bristol highlighted in her latest blog post.
This example makes me physically sick because they spit in the face of every American who has fought for freedom and sacrificed to protect everyone's First Amendment rights. It's not because this issue involves my daughter; it's because Carol Costella, her ilk, and her boss are disgustingly dismissive and disrespectful of the sacrifices made that allow them a platform from which to broadcast their hate and stupidity. CNN is lucky to have their few outstanding employees that shine through the darkness that is CNN. I admire the good ones, and hope they land at more deserving companies when CNN goes under. Zucker, not for my sake, but for the sake of a cornerstone of our democracy—the press—get ahold of your underlings. They make you look really, really bad, and they are ruining America.
- Sarah Palin
And yes she also links to another ghostwritten post on Bristol's blog. (Do you think it is possible that both ghostwriters are the same person? Cause I kind of do.)
In Brancy's post two videos of Carol Costello covering two entirely different topics are compared.
One is concerning ESPN's Steven A. Smith suggesting that women sometimes invite abuse in reference to the Ray Rice incident.
And of course the other one is Costello's response to the Bristol Palin audio.
You can see that here:
At this point it is pretty obvious that the Palins are pushing for Costello to be fired, just like MSNBC did with Martin Bashir.
Costello already apologized, which was a mistake because Sarah Palin is drawn to that kind of weakness like a shark to blood.
Simply put she wants her pound of flesh and she is now trying to cut the weakest from the media herd, where she will then take their life. Or at the very least take their livelihood.
The other day when Palin remarked that " CNN contacts us directly on a regular basis with inquiries and requests for comment." That was on purpose, and it was meant to suggest to the CNN powers that be that if they play ball with Palin she just might, just might, throw them a bone of two.
If CNN gives in and allows this to happen they are simply empowering a bully to continue destroying anybody who dares to stand up to her and call her out on her lies, manipulations, and shortcomings.
Once again for the record. The story that Bristol lays out is NOT supported by any of the other witnesses. Simply put, it is a lie!
Everybody has the right to mock a drunk woman, who attempted to assault a man for no reason, attempting to convince the police that SHE is the victim.
But clearly that is not enough. So she fired up the old ghostwriter again and had another Facebook post uploaded on her behalf:

Gawker transcribes some epic Track Palin quotes from the audio of the drunken brawl aftermath.
Gawker took on the herculean task of listening to all of the police audio tape and picking out the bits and pieces that really give you a truly representative look into the psyche of Track Palin.
Seriously these just gems.
First concerning (the guy he thinks is) his dad's birthday:
"Alright this is my old man," Track tells police. "It's his birthday, okay. So we're at this party in Wasilla. Dude, surprise him with a new truck, new trailer, new wrap on the trailer. Everything was fucking kosher."
And please, who doesn't want a "fucking kosher" truck and trailer. (Honestly I did not even know that trucks came kosher. Possibility helps to explain why Palin always has that garish Star of David around her aging neck.)
On his recently cold cocked friend Steve Lebida:
"He's like a little pussy you know what I'm saying?" Track told the officer. "Like he's not gonna fight nobody. Most innocent, basically a gay guy, but he's not."
Who knew that Track was so open minded about having a gay but not really gay friend?
On why he was shirtless:
"I just bought this brand new shirt, so I took it off. I don't want to rip it," Track tells the officer. "Let's fucking fight. Four guys came on me, I hit one. One picked me up, tackled me, I hit one."
It makes total sense now. If four guys came on you that could get messy. And possibly leave a stain.
On why he lost even with that warrior body of his:
"If it was one-on-one, I'd beat the shit out of them," he said. "One-on-one, like I'll beat their ass. I'm not trying to be gay or nothing. But they're four guys, man, like come on. I've done jujitsu my whole life, wrestled forever. Like let's fucking roll."
Yeah if only these guys had come at Track one on one, you know as it was described by some of the party goers who were not members of the drunken Palin clan, then he TOTALLY would have beaten them until they pooped their pants.
Which is unsurprising since this is how Track described his assailant(s): "They're all like little bitches."
Gee no wonder Sarah is so proud of her son.
He is such an inspiration to other layabouts living off their parents and drinking themselves into a comatose state every night.

Some may have moved on to other stories, but the National Enquirer believes there is more to know about the Throwdown at the Hoedown. And I agree.
Courtesy of the National Enquirer:
You’re all headed to the drunk tank!” That’s what an enraged Sarah Palin is telling her three eldest kids – Track, 25, Bristol, 24, and Willow, 20 – after a police report reveals they were boozed up at a party that turned into a headline-making brawl.
Cops in Alaska released the report Oct. 9 after prosecutors said no charges would be filed related to the Sept. 6 incident. The former Alaska governor was at the party with her hubby Todd and their brood when the fight broke out.
“Sarah is livid that her kids have been called ‘belligerent and intoxicated,’” a friend said.
“It’s a real embarrassment. In a fury, she told them, ‘You’re all headed to the drunk tank!’ She’s not sending them off to rehab, but it’s a clear warning they better clean up their acts.”
According to the report, obtained by The National ENQUIRER, at least two dust-ups broke out during the incident – one involving Track and Todd, and another involving Bristol. One officer wrote that Track “was angry, heavily intoxicated and acted belligerent.”
Sadly that is the last of the Enquirer's accuracy in reporting this story, because after that they pass on the false information, as reported in other news sources, that Track jumped in to help his dad who was under attack, and that Bristol was dragged around by her feet.
I was actually contacted by the Enquirer last week for more information, and an attempt to get me to reveal my source. However I gave them nothing new, and my sources have no interest in talking to the Enquirer at this time.
So I do not know who this "friend" might be. Though to be honest this certainly sounds like something Palin might say.
And besides anything that keeps the brawl in the spotlight makes me happy.
Which is why I was tickled that it came up while Meghan McCain was making an appearance on the Howard Stern Show:
“When I first met her, I really liked her because I thought she was a politician like I’d never seen,” said McCain. “She was beautiful, she had children, she had a newborn baby. And, you know, most politicians aren’t like that. They’re much older, and I didn’t have a lot to relate to them about.”
Since then, McCain’s opinion has changed.
“And now, it’s very awkward because everybody asks me and, you know, she’s getting arrested or her children are getting arrested, whatever, for brawling and bar fights,” McCain said, referring to a reportedly booze-tinged family brawl Palin was a part of.
“When people ask me about it,” McCain said, “it’s like my crazy aunt or something that people all want to tell me about.”
Okay that just makes me smile.
Speaking of smiling I think you will all enjoy Jezebel's comparison of the accomplishments of Bristol Palin to those of recent Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai:
Two bright young women dominated headlines late last week. On the same day that Malala Yousafzai, 17, won the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, Bristol Palin, 23, was cited in an Alaska police report for getting drunk at a party and punching her host "multiple times."
Bristol Palin's "heavily intoxicated" behavior had already prompted her famous mother to release a statement describing her daughter as "one of the strongest young women you'll ever meet." Sarah Palin went on to praise Bristol's "work ethic and heart for those less fortunate."
Sounds like the Nobel Committee gave that Peace Prize to the wrong gal.
Seriously you have to read the side by side comparisons that Jezebel lays out. But I caution against having in liquid in your mouth while doing so.

The Palin family drunken brawl, five days after the police report.
I thought the above graphic was by far the best I have seen pertaining to the Throwdown at the Hoedown.
A quick Google search of "Sarah Palin" shows that all of the first options are links to stories about the brawl. Indicating that this is now a permanent part of the Palin story, and in fact may continue to define them to the world for years to come.
Speaking of that I watched the MSNBC coverage of the brawl the other day, and was struck by the fact that even they, a cable news channel that has every reason to revel in this news about Sarah Palin, still manages to give the Palin family's version of events way too much credibility.
The reporter Betty Nguyen even waters down the confrontation that the Palins started with Klingenmeyer saying that while he was being interviewed "He began getting into another verbal altercation with the Palins," instead of accurately reporting that Todd and Track walked up to him to start another conflict right in front of the police.
I think one of my favorite pieces about this brawl, albeit also riddled with inaccuracies, was the one by James Wolcott of Vanity Fair in his opinion entitled "The Whalin' Palins:
"Breathes there a soul so pure and fair that it does not take relish and delight in the unfurling exploits of the Palin clan--Sarah, Todd, Toody, Tripod, Terracotta, Bristol, and Brylcreem?* The latest installment of Palin Family Fight Club is the most epic yet, a boisterous party turned Riot-on-the-Sunset-Strip when the Palins rolled in like badasses and before it was over Bristol whaled away her her fists of fury, the Real Housewives of Anchorage piled on, Todd did his impression of Viggo Mortensen fending off orcs, and Track dove into rescue his father like Ricky Nelson in defense of Ozzie.** And where was Moose Empress Sarah, pray tell? Presumably in the Palin gangsta limo that was parked outside, checking her emails while all hell was breaking loose on this now-historic boogie night.
Yeah it gets quite a lot wrong, but it is still a kick in the ass to read.
I am still wrestling with the idea of how Palin will deal with all of this.
The smart thing would be to ignore it, or to make some self effacing joke about it during the relative safety of a Sean Hanity interview, but Palin is not known for doing the smart thing.
I doubt she will simply create a video response and leave it behind the Sarah Palin Channel paywall as that would not do anything to quiet her critics and would legitimately suggest that she is hiding from the media.
The only question is will she go full "blood libel" or has she learned from past mistakes?
I think we will learn the answer to that question sometime this week.
In other news the SarahPAC quarterly report was just released, and guess who is once again spending more than they are taking in.
Yep they took in only $433,496.82 but managed to spend $483,825.45.
And yes there are still multiple thousands of dollars going toward "postage."
So fiscally responsible, don't you think?
