Reverend Sarah Palin preaches that we are weak, pathetic, and nothing without God. Well there's a happy thought!

You, that's right you, are weak and pathetic. Now don't you feel inspired?
Courtesy of Sarah Palin's online place of worship, called "The First Assembly of You All Suck!"

Let's dive right in shall we and let the inspiration wash over our very souls.

Scoot Over; Get Out Of The Driver’s Seat

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10 (Keep in minds kids that this is the person who claims that SHE is the real personification of feminism in this country, NOT those courageous women who demonstrated their ability to stand on their own without a man and demanded to be treated as equals. Clearly they were not weak enough.)

There’s nothing like the feeling you get as a mama or a daddy when a child reaches out to you. Little children, by design, are dependent on you for food, protection, and love. (Well I do agree with this at least.)

Guess what, Mom and Dad: We’re all designed to be dependent on God. In fact, we can’t get through life without Him. If you’re like me, you sometimes forget this. We think we’re in control, and – just like our kids – we sometimes forget the true source of our help and protection. (Yes citizens of the 21st Century, always keep in mind that you have achieved NOTHING and that there is an invisible man in the sky who is eternally seeing you as a needy helpless child.)

Only when the winds of persecution begin to blow are we reminded of our weaknesses. In the midst of spiritual battle, we have no one else to turn to but the One really in control. We come face to face with our humanity – our limitations – and we are left seeking the strength and perspective that only comes from above. (Or you could face your adversity, overcome it, and become stronger for the conflict. Just a thought.)

This, friends, is actually a blessing of difficulties, hardships, insults, and persecution: we’re given the opportunity to truly rely on our Maker. Persecution strips us of false notions we have about our own strength, and reminds us where the real stuff can be found – in the arms of our Heavenly Father! Sweet Freedom in Action (WTF?)

Take a break in the arms of the Father, even now. Ask for Him to take control of all areas of your life where you’ve insisted on being in the driver’s seat. (Okay now I think I understand why pedophilia is so rampant within the church. These people are conditioned to be victims.)

Look there is no sense in my suggesting that I understand this even a little bit.

As you know I am not a religious person and find the entire concept to be an obstacle to attaining our destiny as human beings.

But seriously HOW does this kind of thinking help us to overcome life's many obstacles?

I was very fortunate to be taught at an early age to strive for perfection and to push my limits until I could push no more.

As a result I won championships, set records, and overcame my insecurities, none of which would have been possible if I were told to "delight in weaknesses."

I taught gymnastics to young people, self defense to women, and necessary life skills to the emotionally and mentally fragile.

At no time in my life have I ever told a single person that "when they are weak, they are strong."

Hell no! When you are strong you are strong, and when you are weak it is only because you are at the beginning of your journey to becoming strong.

As human beings we have proven ourselves to be capable of amazing discoveries, courageous adventures, and awe inspiring accomplishments.

Just imagine how much more we could have achieved if there were not those preaching to us that we are nothing, and can do nothing, without the assistance of a celestial patriarch?

So this showed up on Bristol Palin's Pikore account yesterday.

Yeah, I know right? I'm actually not sure if even one word of this could be labeled as true.

And trust me that was not lost on other Pikore users who were quick to criticize the post.

Posting this kind of thing makes it seem that if she were not playing the victim that she would have no self identity at all.

Friday, October 24, 2014

Unbelievably Sarah Palin simply cannot resist once again using her daughter Bristol to play the victim card.

So Palin already came riding in on her white moose to come to her poor, sad, pathetic daughter's aid once.

But clearly that is not enough. So she fired up the old ghostwriter again and had another Facebook post uploaded on her behalf:

I thought I'd seen it all, but this one leaves me with that punch-in-the-gut, flabbergasted shock that I can't shake anymore while witnessing the media's free fall into that damaging darkness covering America. The media is at fault for so many aspects of the division and hopelessness running rampant in our society. It's not the people – it's the media perpetuating a sense of injustice and despair, resulting in apathy or desperation in homes and communities all across our country. The degradation falls on your shoulders, media principals. Though many have tried to give CNN the benefit of the doubt with their overall news coverage (in fact I've even been happy to publicly point out issues CNN has fairly covered), shame on us if we continue to support their unprofessional, hypocritical, and unethical news coverage. It's truly sickening, yet strangely laughable, their underestimation of the wisdom of their audience. Compare these two videos Bristol highlighted in her latest blog post.

This example makes me physically sick because they spit in the face of every American who has fought for freedom and sacrificed to protect everyone's First Amendment rights. It's not because this issue involves my daughter; it's because Carol Costella, her ilk, and her boss are disgustingly dismissive and disrespectful of the sacrifices made that allow them a platform from which to broadcast their hate and stupidity. CNN is lucky to have their few outstanding employees that shine through the darkness that is CNN. I admire the good ones, and hope they land at more deserving companies when CNN goes under. Zucker, not for my sake, but for the sake of a cornerstone of our democracy—the press—get ahold of your underlings. They make you look really, really bad, and they are ruining America.

 - Sarah Palin

And yes she also links to another ghostwritten post on Bristol's blog. (Do you think it is possible that both ghostwriters are the same person? Cause I kind of do.)

In Brancy's post two videos of Carol Costello covering two entirely different topics are compared.

One is concerning ESPN's Steven A. Smith suggesting that women sometimes invite abuse in reference to the Ray Rice incident.

And of course the other one is Costello's response to the Bristol Palin audio.

You can see that here:

At this point it is pretty obvious that the Palins are pushing for Costello to be fired, just like MSNBC did with Martin Bashir.

Costello already apologized, which was a mistake because Sarah Palin is drawn to that kind of weakness like a shark to blood.

Simply put she wants her pound of flesh and she is now trying to cut the weakest from the media herd, where she will then take their life. Or at the very least take their livelihood.

The other day when Palin remarked that " CNN contacts us directly on a regular basis with inquiries and requests for comment." That was on purpose, and it was meant to suggest to the CNN powers that be that if they play ball with Palin she just might, just might, throw them a bone of two.

If CNN gives in and allows this to happen they are simply empowering a bully to continue destroying anybody who dares to stand up to her and call her out on her lies, manipulations, and shortcomings.

Once again for the record. The story that Bristol lays out is NOT supported by any of the other witnesses. Simply put, it is a lie!

Everybody has the right to mock a drunk woman, who attempted to assault a man for no reason, attempting to convince the police that SHE is the victim.

Fox News finds out that there is at least one public television in America where their network is NOT playing 24 hours a day, freak out about it and compare the non-viewers to POW's.

Courtesy of News Corpse:

A local TV station in Fresno, California did a rather trivial story about a waiting room at a Veterans Administration pharmacy. The story concerned an allegation that Fox News had been banned from the televisions at the facility. So the reporter sent one of his veteran buddies into the pharmacy to pretend to want to view Fox News. Whereupon they discovered that the channel was not accessible.

That set off a flurry of outrage over at the Fox News mothership. They aired panicky segments on this massive censorship plot on multiple programs, including America’s News Headquarters, The O’Reilly Factor, and Fox & Friends. In each case they characterized the situation as a blatant attempt to silence Fox News due to their reporting on the scandalous backlogs and corrupt management at some V.A. hospitals. The only thing wrong with these reports was – well – everything.

First of all, there was no attempt to censor Fox News. A spokesperson for the facility made it clear that that the channel was removed because of patient concerns. At least some of the patients explicitly objected to Fox News and the resultant controversy created an uncomfortable environment.

“It was just a misunderstanding. We’ve had a lot of veterans with diverse personalities. A lot of veterans complaining about one news station or the other, so the intent was really to be fair and equitable and take all stations off. [...] We’ve had several incidents of veterans actually arguing, fighting over the different news stations. Some wanted to watch news, some did not. Others wanted to watch specific stations.”

This kid of reminds me of the so-called "IRS Scandal" where the IRS dealt with the influx of applications by 501 (c) (4) organizations by flagging those that seemed suspicious for later review, which the Right Wing distorted to make it appear as if it were an attack on them.

In this case all cable news stations get removed, but the only one to play the victim is the one that promotes Right Wing ideologies.

Notice a pattern?

News Corpse then goes on to explain that there was no reason to single Fox News out over reports on problems with the VA, as they did no more than any other cable news network. (And besides CNN broke the story, NOT Fox News.)

But what was REALLY troubling was HOW Fox played the victim:

Particularly disturbing was the framing of this phony whining about censorship by the Fox & Friends crew, where co-host Brian Kilmeade packaged the segment as “Abandoned Brothers.” They actually employed language generally reserved for prisoners of war or fallen soldiers on the battlefield to describe people waiting to get their prescriptions filled in a downtown Fresno drug store who weren’t able to watch a gaggle of Fox News blondes in short skirts mutilate journalism.

Kind of icky. Especially considering how they tried and convicted Sgt. Bergdahl, an actual POW, without bothering to get the whole story about his capture and subsequent release.

Christian conservatives have got playing victim down to a science. Gee, if only I could think of an example of someone who did that.

Courtesy of Salon:

Religious freedom and separation of church and state have always been hated concepts to the religious right. Indeed, it’s fair to say that the religious right exists to fight any legal or cultural support for people who don’t want their narrow definition of Christianity foisted on them. From objecting to gay marriage to trying to wedge creationism in schools, the religious right exists as a political movement for the purpose of stripping away religious freedom and establishing their religious beliefs as the dominant organizing force in law, politics and culture.

So why then are we hearing all these people who live their lives attacking religious freedom complaining all the time that “religious freedom” is under attack from liberals? Whydoes every religious-right publication and event echo the claim that right-wing Christians are somehow being stripped of the very right to religious freedom the right has worked tirelessly to take from everyone else for decades?

The simple answer is they’re lying. Claiming the mantle of victimhood is so politically potent that religious-right leaders are going to do it, no matter how untrue it is, because, to be blunt, they’re not held back by any moral interest in honesty. Getting Grandma to think she’s going to lose her church is a great way to get her to sign her Social Security check over to your organization.

The longer answer is that the religious right has concocted a new strategy to squelch religious freedom: By redefining “religious freedom” to mean its opposite. The hope is that by repeatedly using the term “religious freedom” when they mean “giving the Christian right power to impose their faith on others,” they can eventually drain the phrase of all its meaning and finally, after decades of fighting secularism, make it easier for the religious right to strip away individual protections for religion. In other words, they hope by saying that up is down long enough, the public and the courts will finally believe it.

This attitude—that their “religious freedom” can only be protected if they get to foist their faith on everyone else—is nakedly obvious every year when the whining about the mythical “war on Christmas” begins. Needless to say, there is no war on Christmas. There is no effort whatsoever to prevent anyone from celebrating Christmas, buying Christmas presents, going to mass on Christmas, or playing that Manheim Steamroller record until you want to claw your ears out. Without fail, every example the right comes up with to prove there’s a war on Christmas is, in fact, something else: An attempt to recognize that not everyone is a Christian and respect that there are multiple holidays people may be celebrating in lieu of, or in addition to, Christmas.

This belief that Christians, particularly right-wing Christians, are entitled to be acknowledged at the exclusion of everyone else and entitled to have their holidays held out as more important than everyone else’s cropped up immediately after Thankgiving, right on schedule this year. The National Republican Congressional Committeetweeted out a picture of a T-shirt they’re selling that says, “’Happy Holidays’ is what liberals say,” in Comic Sans font, of course. On the back it reads, “Merry Christmas.” The “joke” doesn’t make sense unless the viewer agrees with the premise that conservative Christians are better than everyone else, and in order to honor how much more important they are, all other holidays and faith traditions need to be hidden away, as if they’re shameful.

You know it may seem as if these people are simply ridiculous and that the only appropriate response is to mock them, but I have to remind myself that these people are potentially dangerous, and that if they WERE to get their way in establishing Christianity as the state sponsored religion, that the social injustices and oppression would start piling up almost immediately.

That idea, which seems less and less likely as our population becomes less and less religious, is still one that keeps me on edge and my attention focused on the various strategies utilized by religious groups attempting to hold onto power or gain more influence over out education, politics, and media.

Bill O'Reilly and Sarah Palin may be driving around in a clown car, but there are more nefarious goings on in the shadows that their bulbous noses and fright wigs may distract us from noticing.

Bristol Palin earns her nickname "Brittle" as she breaks down and storms out of rehearsal for tonight's DWTS episode. Update!

Courtesy of People:

Bristol Palin recently talked to PEOPLE about her newfound confidence this time around on Dancing with the Stars – but when it comes to her partner Mark Ballas, she still has insecurities.

During a tense rehearsal, she began to cry after getting criticism from Ballas.

"I know you feel bad you don't have Sabrina [Bryan] or Shawn [Johnson]," Palin, 21, tells Ballas, 26, right after he says, "Your energy is off." (God we all know that's true!)

Palin goes on to say, "I feel like you're just bummed that you have me as a partner."

When Ballas asks her, "What have I done to make you feel that way?" Palin says, "Just in general. Like, oh, dang, you got paired with Bristol."

The ballroom pro, who says he always gives 100 percent during the competition, adds, "I'm not dancing around without committing myself. … I can sit here and train you all day. I can give you these choreography steps, but if you don't apply yourself on the floor and give me that personality that I know you can, then I can't force it out of you. I stick up for you through thick and thin – always."

Palin, wiping away tears at this point, says, "You, like, play this victim role. I know that I'm here, I'm on time, I'm ready to go. I wouldn't be on the show if I wasn't going to take it seriously."

After calling her partner out for missing a rehearsal, Palin sits down and types on her phone.

"Can you not be like that?" Ballas asks, putting his hands on her legs. "Don't be like that."

Palin then gets up and says, "I'm just not doing this anymore," while walking away.

(You can see video of this pathetic little tantrum by clicking the link at the top.)

Did she seriously accuse HIM of playing the victim?

Throwing a tantrum and projecting YOUR personality flaws onto other people, it's like Sarah and Bristol are virtually the same person now.

She probably realizes she is about to get the boot, and she is undoubtedly right since they are having a double elimination tonight.

Jesus, what a spoiled little bitch.

Of course I guess Bristol can take some solace in making the list of Hollywood parents that pimp their kids. I think in the Palin family this is like winning an Oscar.

Well hopefully tonight is the LAST time we have to watch the Chin stumble across the stage like a recently sedated walrus, while Mark kills himself trying to dance for two.

Fingers crossed kids!

P.S. Yes this post will also serve as the open thread for tonight's episode.

Update: Well it looks like Granny Grifter is not satisfied to simply read about Bristol in the National Enquirer, she has also used her Facebook account to bolster claims that Bristol has been receiving "death threats" and to pimp for votes.

I’m in California today to support Bristol. I’m sorry to see that she’s again getting those annoying death threats and more “mysterious white powder” sent to her while on DWTS this All-Star season. These threats sure waste a lot of time, production and public resources; but do the haters really think this will stop Bristol and Mark and the show’s producers from keepin' on keepin' on? Silly critics -- after all these years of goofy antics like this we find these efforts are actually quite motivating! Bristol’s not letting this get her down. Anyway, tonight is a “double elimination” night, so hopefully everyone who has supported her so far will do so again! I'll be sure to post the call in number and voting instructions later today before the event. Thank you again to everyone. It means a great deal during this fun and highly competitive event, and it's sure appreciated!

As Bristol shares with anyone targeted by the naysayers in life: “Hey, the haters will hate anyway; the critics will criticize, so you might as well dance!”

I assume she had RAM write this for her before the video emerged of Bristol's tantrum, in which she went from "might as well dance" to "fuck this might as well walk away."

Update 2: Are they just trying to make themselves look ridiculous now?

From Palin's Facebook page.
"Look out Hollywood, herein we comes!"

Update 3: Here is the dance. Just as bad as you probably imagined.

Sarah Palin, the woman who claimed she quit her job as Governor to save the state money, is asking the state to pay for her defense against a lawsuit.

"Help me, help me, Alaska! I am just a defenseless millionaire who once used my job to bully those who dared to question me! Can't you see I'm the victim here?
Courtesy of ADN:

Assistant Attorney General Dale House said Palin asked the state to help defend her against the lawsuit by activist Chip Thoma.

The claims made against Palin date to when she was governor, and House said Wednesday that it's typical for the state to get involved if the person is being sued largely because of the title they held or because of something they did in the course of their official duties. He said there are exceptions, including for criminal cases.

House said the state will pay for his participation but not for Palin's personal lawyer, John Tiemessen, who will be co-counsel.

Thoma is suing Palin for at least $100,000, claiming that she undertook a campaign to "punish, embarrass, discredit and silence" him while governor after he complained about tour bus traffic on the windy, narrow streets around the governor's mansion.

Fuck this!  I certainly do not want to pay for this quitters legal bills!

Especially since I believe that Thoma has a pretty damn good case against her.

And according to the comments beneath this article at ADN, I am not the only Alaskan that feels this way.

Sounds to me like Palin's very intimidated that this is going to turn out to be something over which she will not be able to wriggle off the hook. Magnificent timing!

Well, if anyone read Frank Bailey's book they would know $Palin did it on purpose. He has the emails that back it up. I wonder if they will be able to use her own emails against her.

Why? Why is the state STILL paying this worthless woman? WHY?

The state should not incur any part of this lawsuit. Wouldn't that also make the state liable in some manner? Palin used her office to embarrass a private citizen and she should not ask for state help to defend herself.

Everybody up here knows that Palin used her position as Governor to go after her enemies, bully other Alaskans, and give her family and friends state jobs and perks to keep them loyal.

And now that somebody is finally going after her in court for her illegal behaviors she is playing the victim again and asking the state that she abandoned to protect her.

She will NEVER change.

RAM working overtime to portray her meal ticket as the real victim of the Arizona shootings.

From the Daily Mail:

There has been an 'incredible' spike in death threats against Sarah Palin in the wake of the Arizona massacre, an aide said today.

The revelation will come as a blow to those like President Barack Obama who have called for 'healing' after the tragedy, when a gunman opened fire at a political meet-and-greet in Tucson, Arizona, killing six and wounding 13.

'There has been an incredible increase in death threats against Mrs Palin since the tragedy in Arizona, since she's been accused of having the blood of those victims on her hands,' aide Rebecca Mansour told USA Today.

'When you start to accuse people of having the blood of innocent people on their hands, it incites violence,' she was quoted as saying.

You know as much as I want to believe people, I have a VERY difficult time believing anything that comes out of the Palin camp.  And I am not alone.

From The Nation:

If Palin is receiving death threats, especially at allegedly "unprecedented levels," all of us should be concerned. But Palin should be calling the police or the FBI, not mere "security experts," as reported. To neglect engaging law enforcement is a disservice to her own safety and the safety of her staff and family. Yet neither Palin's staff nor the news outlets elaborate on this point, except to admit that the former has not signed off on changing Palin's security arrangements. The media, however, has clearly been alerted. (Note: at least CBS, when it repeated the death threat meme via a USA Today story this afternoon, added the sentence, "The aide did not provide details concerning the volume of threats, how much have they increased or whether they are being referred to the authorities.")

Conflating criticism, even harsh criticism, with genuine calls for violence or elimination is more than merely dishonest and offensive. It's also (dare I say it in this climate?) dangerous. Why perpetuate the we're-under-attack-so-let's-lock-and-load nonsense that's already done so much harm?

Well said.  However perhaps there truly ARE death threats against Sarah Palin. Perhaps somebody should check.

My friend, and fellow Alaska blogger, Shannyn Moore did exactly that:

I just talked to the mayor of Wasilla. The only reports they have of "death threats" on Palin have been in ?s from the media. #palin
13 Jan via TweetDeck

Well isn't that interesting?  So if Sarah Palin is being viciously threatened by those damn liberals, and in fear for her life, why would she not notify the local police?

But in the interest of being fair I decided to scour the internet for proof of these "death threats."  And I found them, well sort of.

The comments are clearly very ugly, and in my opinion fairly indefensible, but most of them are asking WHY Sarah Palin was not the one shot, or suggesting that somebody should shoot her, there does not seem to be any that are saying that THEY want to, or are planning to, shoot Sarah Palin.  Are THESE the death threats the RAM is referring to?

As far as I could tell none of the "shoot Sarah Palin" tweets were actually sent to her or RAM's Twitter accounts.  So essentially these people were having a conversation with their circle of friends and it was overheard by others actively looking for death threats against Sarah Palin to help reinforce the idea that she is a victim. I am not exactly sure THAT falls into the "death threats against Sarah Palin" meme.

I am sorry but unless RAM, a law enforcement official, or Palin herself can produce evidence of REAL threats being made against Palin I am going to have to call bullshit on this story. Especially considering that virtually every story that comes out of the Palin camp is in fact bullshit!

But having said that I absolutely condemn the idea of ANYBODY making threats against Sarah Palin. I don't care if you are only joking just DON'T DO IT!

I have been busting my ass to help send that nasty bitch to jail, and I don't want anybody to ruin it by turning her into a martyr.

So when you leave comments here, please avoid any mention of death, or dying, or terminal illness.  And really that should be our policy no matter WHERE we might comment about Sarah, Todd, Bristol, or any other member of that hillbilly clan.

Remember they only need a small molehill in order to turn into a mountain of victimhood.

Glenn Beck attempts to drum up sympathy for Sarah Palin by suggesting SHE might be in danger. Updated!

“I hate violence,” Palin wrote back. “I hate war. Our children will not have peace if politicos just capitalize on this to succeed in portraying anyone as inciting terror and violence. Thanks for all you do to send the message of truth and love. And God has the answer. Sarah ”

Sarah Palin is NOT in any danger.  And the reason that Glenn Beck requires security is to protect him from his own followers, NOT the people on the left.  And he damn well knows it!

This is the absolute height of hypocrisy for Glenn Beck to suggest that he and Sarah Palin are somehow victims of an atmosphere that THEY did their very best to create.

The LA Times reported this about one of the women who was shot by Jared Loughner:

Patricia Maisch watched a gunman shoot a woman who was using her own body to shield her teenage daughter.

"I thought: 'I'm next. I'm next to her. He's going to shoot me. I'm next,' " she said in an interview Sunday.

The woman who threw her own body on top of her daughter to protect her from a hail of gunfire is how a truly loving parent reacts to danger.  But here we have Sarah Palin, facing nothing more than criticism, wasting no time in throwing her children out in front to protect HER.

And we have seen that same cowardly response used time, and time again, whenever Sarah Palin has felt vulnerable.

This ridiculous act by both Beck and Palin should fool nobody.  They are doing nothing more than attempting to cover their own ass by doing what both of them have turned into an art form, playing the victim.

Well we have REAL victims who require our love and prayers today.  Victims who did nothing to deserve their fate except to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Nobody wants to hurt Sarah Palin or Glenn Beck.  We just want them  to finally understand how much damage they have done to our country, and for the love of all that is holy, to PLEASE STOP before any more mothers have to bury their children, or throw their body on top of them to protect them from being torn apart by a killer's bullet.

(H/T to Politico)

Update: Unbelievable!  This woman has no fucking shame!

From TMZ (Who, by the way, is Thomans Van Flein's go to tabloid outlet.):

TMZ has learned ... 19-year-old Shawn Christy has told family members he plans to travel to Wasilla in the hopes of removing the restraining order issued against him last year after Sarah and her close friend Kristan Cole proved he sent them threatening emails and letters.

Now, Cole is launching a preemptive strike -- through the courts -- in the hopes of blocking Shawn from "dissolving" the restraining order.

I call "bullshit attempt to play the victim by Sarah Palin" on this. And I would love some real journalist in Pennsylvania to look this family up and get the real story.

By the way this is Kristan Cole's last tweet from five hours ago.

Just ordered a wireless keyboard for IPAD from clamcase.com
5 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

Does she sound frightened or concerned to you?

Wonkette is all over Sarah's pity party concerning the e-mail trial.

From Wonkette:

Sarah Palin is now using her vast political knowledge and expertise as one of America’s greatest leaders to help brutally prosecute a dumb college student who figured out her incredibly easy e-mail password hint two years ago and uploaded a few screen shots to some web forum leading to a day or two of pranks which meant nothing in the end and probably just boosted her career through faux-victimization, the only weapon in her arsenal; she is awful.

As usual Wonkette does not pull any punches.

And don't forget to check the comment section kids, that is always good for a chuckle or two.
