Is Dakota Meyer trolling the Palins? Yeah, I think he is.

dakotameyer0317 In this day and age people seem concerned only with things like Dancing With the Stars and Bruce Jenner, discussion held to the trivial matters of pop culture. At what point, Nero, do you put the violin down and notice that Rome is burning? 

There is the ongoing concern with ISIS both over seas and at home. The only people fighting and winning seem to be the Kurds and an off duty patrol officer in Texas. There is a ever growing divide amongst peoples in this nation that needs to mend now, not later. There is political corruption at every turn and a looming national debt that has mortgaged our great grandchildrens' future it so big. 

Let's start turning the conversation from the entertaining inconsequential to the relevant and timely concerns that face us. 

Well certainly no points for grammar in this post, but he is fear mongering with the best of them. 

However it is the more "subtle" message I found interesting.

Mentioning DWTS outright makes it almost impossible not to recognize that this criticism is aimed directrly at Bristol, after all there are a number of other reality shows he could have called out by name.

And the graphic showing People magazine and TMZ, where the Palin family have been covered extensively, is not exactly vague either.

So I would assume that now that Meyer has rid himself of all things Palin, he wants to make as much distance between himself and their crazy ass family as possible.

So how better to do that then to take a giant dump on the things that define them these days, reality shows, paparazzi coverage, and pseudo celebrity status.

However I would be remiss if I did not point out that Meyer himself is currently helping to raise money to make a movie with his pals, currently uses his fame to hawk t-shirts on the internet, and that he did appear on "Amazing America" with Palin last year.

Remember Dakota?

So if Meyer REALLY wants to differentiate himself from the Palin clan perhaps he ought to work on being less of a hypocrite.

P.S. Is it wrong that I really hope that this is only the first of many not so veiled attacks that Meyer launches at his former fiance and her family?

Sarah Palin brings a new video out from behind the Sarah Palin Channel paywall to show off her "cooking skills" and to hawk a new book by an editor at Breitbart. But I think we know why she is REALLY making it public.

I am assuming this video is what passes for interesting behind the walls of Mordor the Sarah Palin Channel.  But it's really not.

It is however an opportunity to see Palin in the flesh (Well you know the flesh that you can see behind the caked on makeup, fake hair, and pontoon size fake tits.) And it also affords an opportunity to see briefly Todd, showing no obvious injury from his night of drunken brawling.

However, to be fair, there is really no way to determine exactly when this video was shot, so it could have been weeks before the Throwdown at the Hoedown.

Ostensibly this video is to showcase a book written by Breitbart editor Joe Pollack, entitled "Wacko Birds."

Not it is NOT a book about the Palin family, but it IS a book about the Tea Party using the term that John McCain used to label the movement after Rand Paul's self serving filibuster on the Senate floor.

Palin is shown in the kitchen preparing food, though actually it appears that most of the preparations has taken place off camera, and Palin is left to point at various dishes, and claim that each one contains some fish caught by a member of her family.

Palin also attempts to wax philosophical about politics with Pollack, but it turns out to be a really sad regurgitation of Palin talking points.

Here is her defense of the fact that the Tea Party has not defined leadership:

"That's that Catch-22 because people, like me, uh those proudly associated with the Tea party, it ticks me off that the media still gets away with characterizing it as a party though, because then they get to jab us that, 'Oh we have no leadership.' But that's the point."

This discussion happens while Palin is stuffing cheese into her hotdogs. Because, you know, screw you Michelle Obama.

Palin also shakes her pom poms for Breitbart

"I liked that Breitbart was so into that infiltration and influence on pop culture, because, and I tell people all the time, it's not going to be preaching within our four square walls of a church necessarily. It's certainly not preaching to the choir, uh not necessarily the political arena, because in my world, my people, my friends, my family, they're not political. They're just hard working, patriotic, commons sense Americans. And...um..and that just inherently leads them to conservative positions that they stand for. (Wait, so being a hard working American automatically makes you a supporter of conservative positions? Because I know some union members who would have a REALLY hard time with that statement.) But everybody is influenced by pop culture. If not the church, if not politics, then it's, I would say, pop culture." 

You know I think that Palin is associating thievery NOT conservative as coming from pop culture, as if it is only a fad and will have no staying power.

The Breitbart zombie and Palin then agree that President Obama was the "Facebook candidate" and that he was essentially shaped by whatever the voters wanted him to be. Just another way to undermine his presidency and suggest that he is lacking in gravitas.

The clip is a little over fourteen minutes long, but it seems like it goes on forever, and contains very little that is coherent from Palin, making the Breitbart clone seem like a Rhodes Scholar by comparison.

Which leads one to ask just WHY did this deserve to be moved from behind the pay wall to make it accessible by the public at large, and I really believe it is a passive way to tell everybody that it is business as usual in Palin-land and that the brawl had no effect on her, her family (You also see the Heaths), or her grifting ways.

However as I said up top, there is NO way to really determine when this clip was filmed so of course it has no value in putting the controversy to rest.

It also does not feature either Bristol or Track, which allows continued speculation as to how they are recovering from their participation is Wasilla Wrestlemania.

Nice try Snowdrift Snooki, but no cigar.

You know it's actually a pretty good song. Too bad it will always be associated with this rather controversial Miley Cyrus video.

Oh, and by the way, this little girl is freaking AMAZING!

New Jersey Catholic school makes students take "no cursing" pledge. Oh I'm sorry, that's only for the girl students. Because you know, religion.

Female students at a Catholic high school in northern New Jersey have taken a “no-cursing” pledge at the request of school administrators, though some question why no such demand was made of male students. 

Lori Flynn, a teacher who organized the campaign at Queen of Peace High School in North Arlington, told The Record of Woodland Park there is no double-standard. She says that while males weren't asked to take the vow, they have been asked not to swear when girls are near. 

Flynn says school officials want “ladies to act like ladies.” And Brother Larry Lavallee, the school's principal, says girls have the foulest language. 

Many girls said they would try to follow the pledge they took Friday morning, even though they believe it should apply to all students. 

Sixteen-year-old Kaitlin McEnery said the pledge is a “good idea,” but believes that “putting it into action is the problem.” And classmate Dana Cotter, 16, thought that male students should join the pledge because “boys should be more like gentlemen.” 

Teachers said they hoped that if the girls focused on cleaning up their speech on campus for a month, their improved manners would take hold and rub off on the boys. They timed the initiative to Catholic Schools Week and the old-fashioned romance of Valentine's Day, promising lollipops as rewards and handing out pins showing a red slash through a pair of pink lips. 

“It's unattractive when girls have potty mouths,” said Nicholas Recarte, 16.

Says the boy who you just KNOW refers to women as sluts and cunts while hanging with his boys, and who sings along with Rap music peppered with profanity, violent imagery, and misogyny, at the top of his lungs.

Okay look I saw an episode or two of "The Jersey Shore" and I have to admit that it might not be a bad idea to curb some of the foul language in Jersey, but why in the hell is it ONLY the girls? After all I'm pretty sure Paulie cussed like a drunken sailor right along with Snooki these last six seasons.

And once again I find myself wondering WHY in this day and age women subject themselves to this kind of treatment by a patriarchal religious tradition that blames THEM for the downfall of mankind and refuses to treat them as anything more than second class citizens?

Rock band Devo to release song about Mitt Romney's dog, Seamus. Update!

Devo are set to release a track later this month entitled "Don't Roof Rack Me, Bro! (Remember Seamus)." It is inspired by Mitt Romney's notorious road trip from Massachusetts to Ontario, during which he transported the family dog, Seamus, in a kennel strapped to the roof of his station wagon. 

According to the Orchard, the distributor behind the track, the digital single will be released on August 25th. 

The track also comes as Devo's founder and commercial director, Gerald V. Casale, kicks off his Remember Seamus campaign, which is supposed to help "make 2012 the year where animals like Seamus are valued and honesty is praised." 

Devo is also helping to back Dogs Against Romney, with Casale designing a special edition shirt for the group. Casale is also involved in an upcoming smartphone game called "The Crate Escape: Seamus Unleashed," which sees release on August 26th, otherwise known as National Dog Day. 

You know I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I believe Devo's founder, Gerald V. Casale, was REALLY offended by this story of Seamus the dog. Don'tcha think?

Personally I think it is a great idea and I hope he sells a million copies. I think everybody should know that this man who says he wants to reach out an help the American people, could NOT even take care of his own dog properly.

Gee how many dog lovers do we have in this country? And how many of them are going to want to vote for Mitt Romney after learning the story of "Seamus the roof rack riding dog?"

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

I understand that Mitt Romney was reached for comment, and said "Just how long are you people going to hold this dog thing over my head?"

Okay well perhaps he DIDN'T actually say that, but you know he's thinking it!
