In the wake of Donald Trump's election the military is seeing increased targeting of non-Fundamentalist Christians so severe that it is being considered a "national security threat."

Donald Trump’s election has led to such a steep rise in fundamentalist Christian evangelizing and religious bigotry in the U.S. armed forces that the matter is reaching the level of a “national security threat,” according to information shared exclusively with Newsweek by an organization that represents and advocates for secular and minority religious views in the military.

The number of complaints from servicemen and -women in the Army, Air Force, Marines and other service branches to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) has doubled in number since November 2016, according to lawyer Michael “Mikey” Weinstein, a former Air Force officer who founded the organization.

Many of the recent charges are coming from members of minority religions, including Roman Catholics, Jews and Muslims, and from atheists. Among the complaints: military family and marital therapy programs are being infused with Protestant Christianity, which would violate the U.S. Constitution; open anti-Semitism; anti-LGBT statements, posters, symbols and bullying; openly anti-Muslim teachers and Islamophobic attacks; a rise in on-base evangelizing; and increased pressure on recruits or lower-level personnel and service members to convert to fundamentalist Christianity. 

“With the advent of Trump as the commander in chief of our armed forces, MRFF has experienced a massive influx of new military and civilian personnel complaints of religion-based prejudice and bigotry, most of them coming from non-fundamentalist Christians being persecuted by their military superiors for not being ‘Christian enough,’” Weinstein tells Newsweek.

He says noncommissioned officers at one Air Force base reported that their superiors told them Trump would make it USAF policy that in order for “disbelieving Jews” to be allowed into the USAF or deemed fit for promotions, they would have to show via objectively established behavior that they were at least honestly “considering the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” 

At another base, the wife of a combat-decorated Muslim U.S. Naval officer, who was wearing a Muslim headscarf, was surrounded in the commissary and spit upon and cursed as not being a “true American and being a spy and a terrorist.” She was with her children at the time.

Well the Trump supporters wanted him to return the country to "when it was great again."

Well congratulations, it is now America in the 1940's when it was only great if you were a white male Fundamentalist Christian attending a Protestant church.

And the real irony here is that Trump himself is NOT a religious man by any measure.

He simply recognized that the fundamentalist Christians of this country were the easiest voting bloc to manipulate so he did the bare minimum to get their support and the rest is history.

We should be seeing more burning of mosques and synagogues, and a return to public lynchings any day now.

Ted Cruz's call for increased police patrols and surveillance in "Muslim neighborhoods" in response to the bombings in Brussels does not exactly go over well.

The New York Police Department reacted angrily to a call from Senator Ted Cruz of Texas for law enforcement to “patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods.” 

At a news conference on Tuesday, Commissioner William J. Bratton denounced the Republican presidential candidate as “out of line” and unfit for the White House. 

“I would remind the senator he lives in the United States of America,” Mr. Bratton said. “And the statements he made today is why he’s not going to become president of this country.” 

Mayor Bill de Blasio stood beside the commissioner and chimed in repeatedly with “Amen.”

President Obama was even more pointed in his remarks:  

“I just left a country that engages in that kind of neighborhood surveillance, which, by the way, the father of Sen. Cruz escaped for America, the land of the free,” Obama said during a press conference in Argentina, referring to his historic trip to Cuba earlier this week. 

He said the proposal “makes absolutely no sense” and goes against basic American values.

What's next, Islamic internment camps? Or perhaps concentration camps are more Cruz's style?

And remember THIS is who the establishment Republicans are rallying around to be their standard bearer in the 2016 presidential election.

Can we even begin to imagine the number of interventionist wars this creepy little puke would start to prove HIS manhood?

Donald Trump supporter found with an explosive device in his home amid charges that he planned to attack Muslims. Well, it really was only a matter of time.

Police found an explosive device Sunday in the home of a 55-year-old Richmond, California man who allegedly threatened to harm the local Muslim community, according to a local report. 

Police evacuated William Celli's neighborhood when they found a device at his home on Sunday and detonated it, Bay Area TV station KPIX reported. Celli was arrested and booked into county jail on Sunday afternoon, according to the report. 

KPIX reported a tipster told police Thursday that a man was making devices and threatening to harm Muslims. But while law enforcement said Celli's statements attracted their attention, police wouldn't elaborate on the threats, according to the report. 

"We thank law enforcement authorities for their swift action and we will monitor this alleged case of domestic terrorism closely as it moves through the legal system," said Zahra Billoo, executive director of the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Celli often expressed his feelings about Donald Trump and Muslims on Facebook.

So to be clear if we catch ISIS leaders spreading hateful rhetoric among American Muslims and they threaten harm against Christians in this country we arrest them right?

So what do we do with a presidential candidate who spreads hateful rhetoric among Christians that results in threats of harm against Muslims in this country?

Hmmm?

Florida gun store owner selling "Muslim Free Zone" signs. Oh yeah, that's helping.

The Citrus County gun store owner who made international headlines is at it again. He’s selling a new product meant to stir things up. 

“What we are finding is that people are afraid of radical Islam. They are afraid of political correctness,” said Hallinan. 

Hallinan made a video in July declaring Florida Gun Supply in Inverness as a ‘Muslim free zone.

Since then, he said he’s received thousands of calls and emails. 

“And for every person, we have what seems like 300 or 400 that are in support,” he said.

From the report on MSNBC last night, it appeared that people were placing these signs on their houses or lawns.

Kind of makes one wonder what happens if a Muslim accidentally wanders into one of these "Muslim Free Zones?"

Or perhaps we already know that as there has been an uptick in violence and threats against Muslims since Trump went all Adolph Hitler in recent days .

Just over the border from New Hampshire in the Massachusetts city of Lowell, a woman identifying herself as a follower of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM), otherwise known as Pastafarianism, has been approved by the state’s Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) to wear a spaghetti strainer on top of her head in her state issued driver’s ID. 

The approval to wear the helmet was initially denied. However, citing religious grounds, Lowell resident Lindsay Miller filed an appeal. Following intervention by the American Humanist Association’s Appignani Humanist Legal Center, the RMV reversed their decision and allowed her to put on her colander and get her driver’s license picture taken. 

Silly? Absolutely.

But is it really any more silly than than wearing a Burqa, or a Jewish yarmulka, or even a cross around your neck?

I think not.

And I for one am glad that this clearly very dedicated congregant of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster did not have her constitutionally protected religious rights trampled on by the non-believers.

For the first time ever a Muslim conducted a prayer service at the National Cathedral and it went off without a hitch. Just kidding, some crazy Christian lady totally lost her shit over it.

The woman who disrupted the first ever Muslim prayer service conducted at the National Cathedral claims she was sent to protest the ceremony by God after reading about it on the Drudge Report. 

In an interview with World Net Daily, Christine Weick, 50, said she read about the event on Drudge and became enraged, saying, “My blood began to boil as I read the comments of how this is to be such a wonderful event and how religious tolerance can, for the first time, be shown in our nation’s capital.” 

Friday’s prayer service was just beginning when Weick stood up and began walking towards the front of the cathedral shouting. 

“Jesus Christ died on that cross. He is the reason we are to worship only Him. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior,” she said. “We have built …allowed you your mosques in this country. Why don’t you worship in your mosques and leave our churches alone? We are a country founded on Christian principles.”

In other words, "My god is better than your god."

According to Weick she expected to get arrested but everybody treated her with respect, which is more than you can say for how she treated the folks attending this service.

Weick went on to explain that God not only gave her a sign that what she was doing was right, but that he helped her get through security, and briefly made her invisible.

Which is an indication right there of how completely sane she is.

However not everybody sees things that way. Her family for instance: 

After being ejected, Weick said she got into her SUV and began the 400-mile trip back to Tennessee where she says she lives in her car after being disowned by her family because she took a stand against same-sex marriage and other “moral issues.” According to Weick, her husband divorced her last year “over a spiritual conflict.”

Clearly the woman is mentally unbalanced, and much like that stenographer who interrupted a Congressional vote, she has used religion as a vehicle for her psychosis.

My question is does religious faith encourage breaks from reality, or does it cause them?
