Favorite political rumor of the day.

Today, like a good little political blogger, I was watching the Sunday shows and happened to see this fascinating exchange on Chris Matthews.

Whoa, did Howard Fineman just say what I thought he said?

That Ashley Judd might be taking on Mitch "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president" McConnell for his Senate seat?

Oh PLEASE make this be true!

If this happens it will no doubt be my favorite political race to watch in 2014. By far!

You remember Ashley Judd don't you?

Famous actress, PETA spokesperson, daughter and sister to the famous country music duo "The Judds?"

Or perhaps you remember her best for being one of the first people publicly added to Sarah Palin's enemies list after going after her in 2009 over the aerial hunting of wolves in Alaska.

Oh that one REALLY got under the Grizzled Mama's skin.  As a matter of act she has mentioned it in anger numerous times since.

So yes the idea of Judd, a woman with more talent in her little finger than Sarah Palin has in her entire body, taking on "Little Bitch" McConnell and eventually walking away with his lunch money AND his Senate seat, is my idea of some very serious karmic justice.

And don't think Judd is just a pretty face (Though beautiful would be more like it.) she has the chops to talk policy and speak up for her beliefs as well. Just take a look at her canvassing for Obama last month. (Oh, and did I mention she is a HUGE Obama supporter?)

Yeah, like I said, this would be an extremely entertaining and exciting race to watch. Let's hope we get the opportunity.

Ashley Judd? The one with the Masters Degree in Public Policy from Harvard? You mean that Hollywood/liberal elitist? Why on Earth would I consider voting for someone who is actually educated in the matters that might concern a potential legislator? ;)

Well, that does explain why Fox is so insistent that all their shows keep hammering away at this Benghazi thing. Like a dog with a bone - they just won't let it go.

    4. Back in 2009 the attention-whore woman who's starved/drugged herself down to 95 pounds called Ashley Judd a "delicate, tiny, very talented celebrity starlet" -- as if Ashley Judd didn't have a remarkable and long IMDb list of accomplishments elevating her above "celebrity".

Also, too, you Democrats have another superstar. Her name is Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I am one Republican who would vote for her. And don´t believe for one second Debbie wouldn´t win FL.

I wish I could vote for her, but I don't live in Kentucky. I sure would if I could.

I would (if I had it) pay big bucks to see that smug turd McConnell voted out. He is a major-league asshole.

Now is a good time to point out that PPP's error rate in 2008 was only 0.125% in swing states: http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/.../ppps-bias.html

The importance of the polls we're seeing out of VA/OH now are those toplines of over 50% for Obama.

Wow, that would be a great race to watch.

The KOCK brothers would spend 100 million to try and defeat Ashely Judd, just to avoid the embarassment.

Granny Grifter might even fly to Kentucky to rally the Klan, and to gin up lies and rumors, also too.

His statement about making the number 1 goal to have the President serve just one term is actual dereliction of duty, and borders on treason.

She will have to move from Nashville to Kentucky first. It would be OK with me if she ran against Lamar Alexander, our rubber stamp senator in Tennessee. I am sure Senator Corker will be elected Tuesday, much to my dismay.

She'd make an excellent politician - Mama Naomi, not so much, apparently Ashley got the "smart" genes from her dad's side of the family. BUT most of all, because it would drive Sarah off the edge!

On the opposite side of the spectrum, this lovely creature "thinks" God is a Democrat and sent the deadly storm to make Obama look good.

  18. Ashley Judd was one of the people on Who Do You Think You Are a few years back. It was fascinating and showed she comes from "good stock" and strongly patriotic. As I recall she traced her family back to both the Revolutionary and Civil wars. The episode also showed her to be an amazingly intelligent and passionate and compassionate woman. One of the best episodes I saw. If you didn't see it you can see it here:

Did anyone else read the racist and bigoted comments below this linked story? Yikes.

There are a lot of men who don't even try to hide the fact that they hate and fear women, anymore.

It makes sense out of why those same men are also extreme homophobes...in constant fear they will be "turned."

I caught the last few minutes of the Gloria Steinem documentary, in which Glenn Beck goes off on an infantile tantrum over her.

My thought after seeing that: "Aha...now THAT really explains it all!"

A reporter from my news station (Toronto) is in Boston reporting on the Romney campaign.

I just choked as I'm munching on pototo chips!!

She's been told that they have a 'secret weapon' who has recorded a robocall.

YUP -- 'That One!' -- She who was not invited to the RNC!!!

Didn't say where it will play but won't be surprised to hear it 'blitzed' across all the swing states, especially Ohio, Wisconsin, as she did appear at a rally for Walker during the recall.

We will be hearing/reading about it.

Below is the robo call transcript. Governor Palin was asked to record a robo call for the Gov Romney campaign. (I think this was recorded last week…don’t know for sure.)

“Hello, this is Sarah Palin calling to urge you to go to the polls on Election Day, or better yet, vote early. We have a critical choice to make this year and America needs leaders who believe in limited government, individual liberty, a robust national defense, stronger families, the sanctity of life and marriage, and time-honored values. Our nation is at a crossroads. So please go to the polls and vote for the candidates who share your common-sense values. Urge your friends and family to vote, too. Thank you and God bless you!”

Thanks all, Bill was WONDERFUL - the place holds has 8700 seats, and it was jam packed. We were in Line at 1:45 p.m., it was about twelve city blocks long, over a bridge and looped up another street.
Clinton covered almost every single accomplishment, and got some great lines in, my favorites were "Vote with your Hopes, not your Fears" and he mentioned Colon Powell's endorsement, the jeep ad lie, a ton of other stuff.
He said President Obama surrounded himself with great people in the White House, but his favorite was "One Heck of a Secretary of State"
Seeing him in person made me realize how much he's aged and what a great friend he is to President Obama.

It was standing room only, lots of young college students. There were a few media sections, but the only ones near me that I could recognize were Chris Matthews and Margorie Margolies Medvinsky (Chelsea's mother-in-law).

Wow, Anonymous 8:00 I'm jealous! - I'd LOVE to have seen "Barry and Bruuuuuce!" - must have been great!!!
I saw some photos on Obama Diary - but they didn't cover Bill in Philly.
