Sarah Palin may have used one unauthorized image too many.

So you all remember this image from yesterday right?

And some of you, as well as I, wondered if it was okay for Palin to use this image of our military personnel to raise money for SarahPAC.

And the answer? Hell no!

Use of DoD Personnel and Materiel in Advertising, Marketing or Promotional Material.

Endorsement of a non-Federal entity, event, product, service or enterprise may be neither stated nor implied by DoD or DoD employees in their official capacities, including through use of their images. Additionally, titles, positions or organization names may not be used to suggest official endorsement or preferential treatment of any non-Federal entity, except in limited circumstances outlined in DoD Directive 5500.7-R. In all cases, Military Service-specific insignia must be removed from advertising, marketing or promotional material.

The use of Department of Defense still and/or motion imagery that includes people who can be personally identified in the image is not authorized, unless the requestor contacts the person(s) and obtains written permission for the use of their identifiable image.

Now, do we think that SarahPAC bothered to ask permission to use that image?

You know like they certainly must have asked to use this image?

Or this image?

 This image?

And of course this image?

Or did they simply Google the image, find it attached to this article, and then use it, with the SarahPAC logo attached, to attack the President while also begging for money that Palin can then use to go on vacations and pay her ghostwriters?

I'll tell you what I think.

I think that Palin is in a blind panic, over this:

As I reported before this was the first time that SarahPAC spent more than it raised, with $496,505 spent (Mostly on "consultants.") and only $460,537 raised from her few remaining dimwitted supporters, and as somebody pointed out early it appears that SarahPAC spent just about $1 for "fundraising" to every $2 actually raised.

THAT is a business model which is unsustainable. So apparently that has inspired somebody to start using images without permission to promote SarahPAC.

However THAT decision could end up costing SarahPAC dearly, since if ANY of these military personnel or celebrities decide to legally protest the use of their images it could end up costing SarahPAC the very last of their reserves and essentially shut them down forever.

I know, what a shame.

And hey, if any of YOU would like to help usher in the end of SarahPAC you know what to do.

  1. Anonymous12:38 PM

Do you think SarahPac will take that bottom graph and put their logo on it?

    1. Anonymous4:19 PM

      Wait, What?!?1

Are you suggesting that putting pix of her and her family vacationing since she quit would make Hard working Amerikkkuns LESS inclined to give their lunch $ to support the Grifter IN Charge?

Sarah Palin could rule the world she's so darn smartsicles!

  2. Anonymous12:53 PM

    Who is Timothy Crawford?

    Official PAC Name:
    Location: ARLINGTON, VA 22207
Industry: Leadership PACs; Republican leadership PAC
    Treasurer: CRAWFORD, TIMOTHY

It says he is the SarahPac Treasurer?

But if you read the papers filed with the FEC, Tim Crawford received disbursement and reason given is as listed:

    Consultant-Fundraising and Compliance

    What's going on here?

    1. Anonymous1:18 PM

There it is in black and white

      Timothy Crawford
      Purpose of Disbursement:
      Consultant-Fundraising and Compliance

Is this guy part of SarahPac's administration or are they listing all these people who are on payroll as consultants for some tax shenanigans or loop holes?

Are they listing him and other people on the payroll as a consultants to appear that SarahPac has low administrative expenses?

    2. jcinco1:28 PM

If you go through her donors a majority are retired or unemployed. Did you see the one that under "employer" said: "US Army retired (b4 queers)"? The people who give her money and run interference on threads singing her praises in their illiterate way define who she is and what type of person is attracted to a dishonest, scheming 1/2 wit like her.

    3. Anonymous1:42 PM

jcinco-- yes, and those unemployed and retired folks don't have lots of spare cash to give to Sarah. Many of them will be dying off -- although some may get better health care under the ACA.

Many of them may decide to give their donations to actual candidates running for actual offices, rather than fork over money to Sarah, who they're dimly realizing will never again run for office,
so that she can pick and choose who will get her $5,000 donation each year.

    4. Anonymous1:49 PM

      Great point.

    5. Anonymous3:27 PM

Alaskans not providing her funds like they use too. Poor, poor sister Sarah!

  3. Anonymous12:56 PM

Is Sarah Palin's SarahPac Hay Day over?

  4. Anonymous1:03 PM

Looking at that summary graph may explain why there wasn't a SarahPac Palin Heath Family Tour this summer and why Sarah had to stay in the Wasilla vicinity to go hunting? Remember the good old days below:

"The fine lines between a Palin vacation and Palin tour"

When most families go on a summer vacation, they don’t have a political-action committee to pay the bills.

Not so for Sarah Palin, the former vice presidential candidate and Alaska governor, who has joined her husband, children and parents in a widely publicized bus tour of East Coast historic sites this week.

The trip appears to be part vacation, part political rally and part reality show. Fuel, lodging and other expenses are being paid for by SarahPAC, Palin’s political committee, which is also soliciting donations online in connection with the journey.

    1. Anonymous9:51 AM

Well, this year they went to that stow lake somewhere down in AZ, with free houseboat amenities etc.

  5. Anonymous1:16 PM

I am glad to know if the duck dynasty, Chomsky and Kutcher are supporting SarahPac. It curdles my blood if we have a military that supports her.

  6. Anonymous1:17 PM

I have Sarah's image printed on my toilet paper.

  7. Anonymous1:21 PM

It's called groveling for dollars. Watch the quitter dance, dance, dance! Love it!

  8. Anonymous1:23 PM

Sarah does what she wants until the courts tell her she can't.

    1. Anonymous2:29 PM

She may have pushed her luck a little too far this time and they may actually do that.

"And some of you, as well as I, wondered if it was okay for Palin to use this image of our military personnel to raise money for SarahPAC. "

Okay everybody keep their panties on. It is okay for Sarah to do whatever she wants:

Four years later, the ambitious Palin won the Wasilla mayor’s office — after scorching the “tax and spend mentality” of her incumbent opponent. But Carney, Palin’s estranged former mentor, and others in city hall were astounded when they found out about a lavish expenditure of Palin’s own after her 1996 election. According to Carney, the newly elected mayor spent more than $50,000 in city funds to redecorate her office, without the council’s authorization.

“I thought it was an outrageous expense, especially for someone who had run as a budget cutter,” said Carney. “It was also illegal, because Sarah had not received the council’s approval.”

According to Carney, Palin’s office makeover included flocked, red wallpaper. “It looked like a bordello.”

Although Carney says he no longer has documentation of the expenditures, in his recollection Palin paid for the office face-lift with money from a city highway fund that was used to plow snow, grade roads and fill potholes — essential municipal services, particularly in weather-battered Alaska.

Carney confronted Mayor Palin at a City Council hearing, and was shocked by her response.

“I braced her about it,” he said. “I told her it was against the law to make such a large expenditure without the council taking a vote. She said, ‘I’m the mayor, I can do whatever I want until the courts tell me I can’t.’”

“I’ll never forget it — it’s one of the few times in my life I’ve been speechless,” Carney added. “It would have been easier for her to finesse it. She had the votes on the council by then, she controlled it. But she just pushed forward. That’s Sarah. She just has no respect for rules and regulations.”

    1. Anonymous1:45 PM

Why did't th e people of Wasilla run her out of town after her first outrageous unauthorized expense?

What about her skating rink house?

What about building the rinky dink rink on private land that the town then had to buy?

SHE left the town in serious debt. And she still "lives" there?

And of course, her new office decor would be "bordello." But she is all "come on" but no "put out." In high school, we called these types of girls a "prick tease."

    2. Anonymous3:36 PM

Apparently the courts have been bought off in Alaska. And McCain has covered the Federal end of any investigations. Sarah will just keep doing her political lap dance until ....

  11. Anonymous1:24 PM

Speaking of her stealing DOD (i.e. taxpayer-funded) images for her own personal fund-raising use, I'm eagerly awaiting Palin's response to the president's recent announcement stating that he will do her bidding and rely on congress to decide whether the U.S. interferes in Syria.

    1. Anonymous1:53 PM

I am surprised the president didn't appoint Sarah Secretary of State. She probably is too.

    2. Anonymous2:07 PM

Do her bidding? Don't forget that Sareh only endorses when it's a sure thing. Her dithering know-nothing whines didn't have anything to do with it.

    3. Anonymous3:48 PM

If Sarah Palin was secretary of state, she'd charge the government a per diem so she could live in her house in Arizona and never travel anywhere.

I hope you are not talking about that fancy new up and coming hairstylist in Wasilla?

  14. My previous message was appended. It was regarding Tim Crawford, SARAH PAC "consultant" and Treasurer, who was fired after only two weeks on the job as RNC Finance Director. RNC refused to comment.

    1. Anonymous5:38 PM

      Ok, what's the dirt?

  15. Anonymous1:38 PM

She probably thinks they're flattered to be mentioned by her. lol.

No lowly soldier would have the resources to sue, and the DOD has more important things to worry about right now, but she'd better watch out, because photo agencies and news organizations do go after those who infringe their copyrights. Just because something can be found on the web doesn't mean it's in the public domain.

Maybe one of her consultants can explain this concept to her.

    1. Anonymous2:36 PM

The DOD may not bother with her, but there's no doubt that Ashton Kutcher has the money and lawyers on retainer to pursue legal action if he chooses to. I'm sure the King family does as well.

You've also got a great point about photo agencies and news organizations. Images ARE their business and she's using THEIR work to solicit money for herself...a BIG no-no!

    2. Anonymous3:03 PM

Yes, her 25th wedding anniversary. My husband got me a pearl necklace for ours..Sarah hasn't even mentioned hers anywhere. I thought "have you seen Todd' was just the best husband ever?

    3. Anonymous3:24 PM

She and Toad have a 'fraud' of a marriage - it's not been one for years. Affairs, kids that don't belong to either one or the other of them, Toad's pimping and on and on.

    4. Anonymous3:29 PM

Was that by any chance Channel 2 in Anchorage where Palin was a 'sports announcer' for a very short time? The channel normally gives their employees 'fond farewells' when leaving, but it wasn't done w/Palin! She was never mentioned again.

Just within the past year Channel 2 ran a special on some of their past employees (they've had some neat ones!) and Sarah Palin was NEVER mentioned (not even as a past 'quitter' governor)! I found it especially interesting because I feel the channel tends to lean right/Republican as to its take on state and national news.

    1. Anonymous2:04 PM

Was that by chance the Channel 2 sports announcer who disappeared during The Great Alaska Shoot Out?

    2. Anonymous2:16 PM

Sarah was an intern at KTUU. She wasn't a paid sports reporter or regular on-air talent.

    3. Anonymous3:18 PM

2:16 Being from Anchorage - not true!
Her short tenure was during the Great Alaska Shootout and she slept w/one of the players....word got out....not good for publicity for the TV station, of course, of course!

As was said above - Channel 2 didn't even recognize her when reviewing other people that worked for their channel even though she had been gov of their state - even though a 'quitter' and was found to be unethical by the Alaska Legislature!

She truly is such a sweetheart! Barf!!!

    4. Anonymous3:40 PM

Anom 3:18 which player got to the former Miss Wasilla? Todd still married her after that?

    5. Anonymous4:30 PM

      3:40 - Glenn Rice

    6. Anonymous6:14 PM

Sarah was an intern, she had ONE assignment and that was to interview a young college athlete, Glen Rice. Instead of interviewing Glenn, she gave him a quick BJ in her sisters college dorm room. Ever since then Sarah has been fixated on a black man actually screwing her.

    7. Anonymous9:51 PM

Just like $arah was not mentioned nor invited to participate in the big Alaska women in politics celebration last year.

Talk about an omission -- not even mentioned! bwhahahahahah .....

Sounds like your readers are enjoying Sarah Palin's free fall.

    Carry on.

    1. Anonymous5:43 PM

Many of us pegged her as fraud and a demagogue and a NPD queen the second we heard her screech.
This has been a long time coming.

    2. Anita Winecooler6:39 PM

Nah, we're just waiting for the "SPLAT". It's kind of like watching Road Runner Cartoons.

    3. Anonymous7:04 PM

I keep reading comments that make it sound like this will be Palins downfall. First off, no one knows whether sarahpac paid for the rights to use these items. Second, even if they didn't they would likely just receive a cease and desist. And as long as they do so, end of story. While it would reinforce the lack of intelligence she surrounds her self with, this is not going to get her thrown in the slammer.

      Am I missing something here?

    4. Anonymous11:19 PM

No, it's not a crime to imply some type of affiliation or endorsement or to use someone's likeness without permission or proper attribution.

However, she can be held liable for financial damages, and be forced to forfeit any ill-gotten financial gains (read:contributions) in which she has used fraudulent inducement to deceive potential donors. This is tort law, not criminal, although a judge might add punitive damages to a claim awarded to a claimant (or a group of claimants) who was (were) deceived as a result of blatant misrepresentation and/or egregious, irresponsible behavior in an effort to deceive others, thereby extracting benefits from the claimant to the deceiving party.

In other words, anyone who is persuaded to give to her PAC by any of her unauthorized representations can get their money back, and if a judge thinks her bad acts are not only ill-conceived but also done on purpose to deceive or confuse potential donors, she can be sanctioned by the courts and punitive damaged added to the amount of claims awarded to plaintiffs. This is in addition to the damages (and legal costs on pursuing a remedy) caused to the owners of the copyrights or licenses to use the likenesses owned by the estates or foundations, ad well as any harm to their reputation by a person who "hijacks" someone else's trademarks, etc. for unauthorized commercial use. Sarah always brags about her years and decades of CEO managerial experience, so her having declared her abilities to make conscious, sound, business decisions, would certainly be used as proof by plaintiff's attorney that Sarah Palin knows better than to steal using the marks owned by another legal entity. The tarnish on the reputations those organizations will be her financial responsibility for causing intentional harm to benefit herself and organizations she exercises control over.

If everyone will help bring these violations to the attention of these organizations, they can use these notices as evidence to prove that Sarah's unethical uses of these likenesses damage their brands and marks. Given the fact that Sarah Palin claims to have over 3million supporters and claims such a large influence over the popular appeal and public opinions, it should be obvious that her deceptions are harmful and damage the goodwill earned prior to her transgressions and encroachments on property owned by others.

My wishes here for Sarah are not meant to be malicious, as I would be forthcoming if I witnessed someone stealing her physical or intellectual property or other assets. But in this case, she is purposely thumbing her nose by her lack of ethics, and I would love to see her ass handed to her in a court of law as a result.

Obama's 'Blink' On Syria Is Politically Brilliant

For much of the past week, Congress has grown louder and louder with calls that President Barack Obama go through them for any authorization of military action in Syria.

On Saturday, Obama gave them their wish.

Congress is now the "dog that caught the car," tweeted former senior White House adviser and chief Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod.

Obama blinked, but he blinked with a dare. He is daring Congress to say no to limited action against a dictator for the brutal use of chemical weapons against his own people — an attack that the U.S. says killed 1,429 people, including 426 children.

"Here's my question for every member of Congress and every member of the global community: What message will we send if a dictator can gas hundreds of children to death in plain sight and pay no price?" Obama said in a statement from the Rose Garden Saturday.

"What's the purpose of the international system that we've built if a prohibition on the use of chemical weapons that has been agreed to by the governments of 98 percent of the world's people and approved overwhelmingly by the Congress of the United States is not enforced?"

In taking this move, Obama answered the waning enthusiasm from the American public and his allies overseas for intervention. He answered the calls from more than 100 members of Congress who sent him a letter saying he needed their approval. And he answered the American public, 80% of whom want congressional approval.

The move satisfied both sides of the aisle. It satisfied Republicans, who praised him for his decision while asserting the authority to declare war lies with Congress. GOP senators as ideologically different as the hawks John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and the libertarian Rand Paul (R-Ky.) applauded Obama's move to include Congress.

"Smart politically to get Congress buy in," Keith Urbahn, the former chief of staff to Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, told Business Insider.

It also satisfied liberals, who spent countless breaths charging that President George W. Bush had abused his executive authority while in office.

Said Adam Green, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee co-founder: "It's great news that President Obama is seeking congressional approval for military action, an important precedent for all future presidents. After years of societal and international norms being thrown out the door — and things like torture, violations of civil liberties, and war becoming normalized — today's announcement is an important down payment on proper norms and regular order being restored."

    1. Anonymous10:06 AM

The thing is... Just WHAT will we do? The Syrian army is already moving its people and weaponry into schools and mosques. Are we going to attack schools and mosques?

Why The Syrian Government's Use Of Chemical Weapons Is A Matter Of US National Security

On Saturday President Obama said that a large-scale chemical weapons attack "presents a serious danger to our national security."

This is a key notion in the debate about whether the U.S. should again choose to meddle in the Middle East.

    The president gave three reasons:

    1) "It risks making a mockery of the global prohibition on the use of chemical weapons."

Earlier this week Ian Bremmer told Business Insider the U.S. "has to respond given international norms against the use of chemical weapons" because the "costs of not responding at this point are too high."

The international norm argument underlies Obama's "question for every member of Congress and every member of the global community: What message will we send if a dictator can gas hundreds of children to death in plain sight and pay no price?"

    2) "It endangers our friends and our partners along Syria’s borders, including Israel, Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq."

The U.S. stated, in a law signed by Obama in July 2012, that the strategic environment in the Middle East poses "great challenges to the national security of the United States and our allies in the region, particularly our most important ally in the region."

And several of America's other allies in the region are calling for U.S. intervention aimed at toppling Assad so that the devastating 29-month conflict ends.

"Obama never needed to go searching for a coalition of the willing for Syria; one ... has been knocking, in fact, at the door of the Oval Office for quite some time," Interpreter Magazine Editor-in-Chief Michael D. Weiss wrote in Foreign Policy. "Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates, all see Syria as a grave short-term threat to their national security."

    3) "It could lead to escalating use of chemical weapons, or their proliferation to terrorist groups who would do our people harm."

This reason involves the fear that Assad would transfer chemical weapons to Hezbollah, the Lebanese-based terrorist group and Iranian proxy that has more than 60,000 rockets pointed at Israel.

Furthermore, Michael Gordon of The New York Times reported that effective strikes "may also send a signal to Iran that the White House is prepared to back up its words, no small consideration for an administration that has proclaimed that the use of military force remains an option if the leadership in Iran insists on fielding a nuclear weapon."

In Obama's words: "If we won't enforce accountability in the face of this heinous act, what does it say about our resolve to stand up to others who flout fundamental international rules?"

So, unlike the invasion of Iraq, it appears that the Assad's regime's perceived large-scale use of chemical weapons — and a response to such an action — actually involves legitimate national security interests.

    1. Anonymous3:25 PM

In Obama's words: "If we won't enforce accountability in the face of this heinous act, what does it say about our resolve to stand up to others who flout fundamental international rules?"

says the President who pardoned Cheney and Bush and company for their war crimes. No law suits here. Nothing to see here. Move along.

    2. Anonymous5:35 AM

Just outfit everyone with atropine ( a really cheap drug to produce) and chemical weapons are impotent!!!
Think of this as a global pandemic of a virus that can kill off everyone in 10 days. You'd be damn sure we would be able to mobilize to protect majority of the people of earth in time!!! We don;t need to "invent " a cure, just have all countries in the world which can manufacture this cheap drug and dispense it with instructions.

He needs to be replaced, she continued. But Greta, it doesn’t have to be me. There are thousands of good Alaskans with that servant’s heart with the ability and the desire to serve we the people.

    2. Anonymous4:31 PM

She's already "played" every flute she could...

    3. Anonymous9:53 PM

Including the $kin flutes of many. $he probably even $ucked at that - pun intended!

  28. Anonymous2:28 PM

Has anybody seen the village idiot? Maybe her family should do a Wellness Check?

    1. Anita Winecooler6:55 PM

Last I heard, she was riding kiddie rides at some summer fair with a random boy in glasses.

  29. Anonymous2:34 PM

Will this be a drain on SarahPac's dwindling funds? She'll have to call her consultants for their opinions on how to get out of this mess and their opinions are not free.

  30. Anonymous2:45 PM

Damn it, I'm running out of popcorn.

  31. Anonymous2:53 PM

SarahPac employees did you really expect this gravy train to last till 2016? Sarah announcing she's thinking about running in 2012, 2014 and 2016 has taken its toll.
There's still some sheep to fleece but the flock is thinning out.

You can only cry wolf for so long.

    1. Anonymous3:33 PM

Time to get the flock out of here

  32. Anonymous3:06 PM

    Palin family carwash
    Palin snowmobile business
    Wasilla hockey rink
    Matanuska Creamery
    McCain presidential campaign

    All started strong but.....

    1. Anonymous4:34 PM

Whatever happened to Palin's Bridge To No Where? That started off strong too.

  33. Anonymous3:18 PM

Smacking a logo on these photos is just one more example that Oscar Heath Palin's has zero common sense.

Thanks for getting this info together. Can you say, 'cease and desist!'

    1. Anita Winecooler6:57 PM

She didn't receive the Paul Revere No Bell Prize for nothing!

  34. jcinco3:31 PM

the party is over,sarah..too bad you and toad didn't make any wise're not going to be able to maintain that lifestyle you've grown accustomed to..sigh.

    1. Anonymous4:14 PM

Not implying anything, but wouldn't be surprised if there is some hidden money somewhere. No telling with all those LLCs Sarah Palin has or had. Hard to trace. A lot of money has been spent over the years and few went to political candidates. Sarah has been known to have a lot of aliases and different email addresses during her short tenure as governor.

    2. Anonymous7:54 AM

There were companys or organizations set up temporarily to sell tickets for her 100k speeches banking on her running for president. The organizations vanished post speechifying.

  35. Anonymous3:51 PM

Who the hell is Phil Robertson?

    1. jcinco4:45 PM

dad of those idiot duck dynasty rubes that sarah holds in such high esteem along with teddy poopy pants...

    2. Anonymous4:55 PM

Oh, so he's basically a Kardashian or a Real Housewife.

    3. Anita Winecooler6:58 PM

      He's a quack with a reality show.

  36. Anonymous3:52 PM

    Oh my goodness.

    This is so, *sniff*, Beautiful!

Like the lottery winners who die broke - they didn't expect it and they bought too many toys and can't maintain it.

Also, too, there's the hush money.

Honey boo boo - what happens when that dries up, you old crone?

Tongues will wag the dog, yes they will.

  37. Anonymous3:52 PM

Does Ashton Kutcher know Sarah is using his image and words to raise money? Celebrities are usually pretty touchy about that kind of thing.

    1. Anonymous10:13 AM

If you are on twitter, tweet it to him...

  38. Anonymous4:03 PM

$arah has no qualms about misappropriating others' copyrighted images and slapping SarahPAC on them. Wonder what she'd do if we took her no-doubt- copyrighted and TM'ed "SarahPAC" logo and start attaching it to increasingly funny or obscene photos? She'll cry bloody murder, and we'll have some fun with this game ;)

    1. Anonymous5:42 PM

      lovely idea

    2. Anonymous7:28 PM

Yes, great idea. Remember AzureGhost (I think that was her name)? She did some mighty fine graphics that would be perfect for this task. Hehe.

    3. Anonymous Lee8:47 AM

      Okay, I'll play!

    4. Anonymous10:15 AM

      8:47: I LOVE the '.coN'!!!

  39. Anonymous4:24 PM

There's a picture of Sarah Palin during the 2008 presidential campaign standing next to the Secret Service suburban with her librarian hair style and a very mean manly looking face. I betcha after reading this post her face probably looks worst than that.

I'm not going to KMart until she cools down.

  40. Anonymous4:31 PM

There's a lot of us in Wasilla laughing our asses off. Of course not at you Sarah or your family.

  41. Anonymous4:37 PM

Safe to say Sarah can slap her SarahPac logo on Christmas, until Judgement Day.

  42. Anonymous4:43 PM

Labor Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday in September, that celebrates the economic and social contributions of workers.

So why did Sarah and Todd take off for the holidays? Didn't they just get back from some lake trip? They're not workers.

    1. Anita Winecooler7:00 PM

And there's no way she's in labor of any kind.

    2. Anonymous7:32 PM

Or anyone else in that family or their needy buddies. Looks like they all will have to get off their butts and make a buck!

    WEDNESDAY, OCT 20, 2010 11:20 AM PDT
Did Sarah Palin desecrate the American flag?

    1. Anonymous5:18 PM

      Not our patriotic Sarah?

    2. Anonymous5:54 PM

She shits on the flag everytime she opens her mouth.

  44. Anonymous5:00 PM

May 31, 2011. MSNBC's Martin Bashir accused Sarah Palin of a possible breach of federal law, saying that the flag (painted on her bus) should never be used for advertising purposes. There can be no breach, as the Flag Code is only advisory. There is a long unchallenged tradition of politicians using the flag. However, the partial flag on her bus is recognizable as a flag, so does constitute a US flag. Bashir is correct that the Flag Code states that the flag should never be used for advertising purposes.

    1. Anonymous10:18 AM

Yeah. SO???!!! No court told her not to do it, so $he kept on doing it. No consequences for her OR for Toad. :(

  45. Anonymous5:09 PM

    Ooops not again

Sarah Palin Breaks "Flag Code" In Runner's World Magazine

The final photo in the 7-image slide show features Palin posing jauntily in vaguely ill-fitting shorts and a red zip-up with one elbow resting carelessly on the flag, which has been draped over the back of a chair. Palin has clearly mastered the standard celebrity red carpet pose (one leg bent slightly, body tilted, hand on the hip, face at a slight angle), but for once, people are not talking about her short shorts or slight body. All attention is now on the colorful cloth prop, with the question: Is it wrong to treat the symbol of America is such a manner?

..... In order to prove the point, the Daily Kos writer looks up the official code of conduct with regards to the American flag. They most likely found this Wikipedia page, which specifies that the flag must never be "drawn back or bunched up in any way." Also, the flag should never "be used as 'wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery', or for covering a speaker's desk, draping a platform, or for any decoration in general (exception for coffins)," another rule that Palin has violated....

See link above for the two pictures.

I guess it is true Sarah Palin can do whatever she wants but imagine if President Obama did this? What would Sarah Palin do? Throw a hissy fit on her facebook and twiter?

    1. Anonymous5:20 PM

Don't tell me Sarah is using the American flag as a bathrobe or something in that picture.

    2. Anonymous5:26 PM

That's Our Photo Op Sarah From Alaska

    3. Anonymous5:40 PM

$arah's fav flag is the 'Don't tread on me flat' cause she thinks it's one of her 'selfies' and considers it an extremely good likeness, capturing her signature tongue action.

  46. Anonymous5:29 PM

As far as the multiple disrespectful flag incidents, what can you say? Sarah is from the Valley.

    1. Anonymous5:41 PM

But pa, Sarah is so purdy draped in the American flag.

  47. Anonymous5:38 PM

This is what Sarah's life has been about. Does she think about anything, about patriotism or anything? Does she think she is still in a beauty pageant on the walkway after all those years? Let it go Sarah.

    1. Anonymous5:55 PM

      But she can't.

  48. Anonymous5:53 PM

No Sarah, tell us you were not a walking billboard for your husband's Iron Dog sponsor? You're the sitting governor, not a model for Artic Cat. That sure does looks like you in that picture wearing that giant billboard.

Alaska Democrat Wants Sarah Palin to Take it All Off

Linda Kellen Biegel, a Democrat who blogs under the name "Celtic Diva," said in her complaint that Palin "improperly used her position and state resources to serve her personal financial interests by being a walking billboard for Arctic Cat, a private for-profit company and family business sponsor."

    1. Anonymous8:18 PM

Tsk tsk. It was complaints like this that got the Quitter to think about Quittin' over complaints! Coward decided to cut and run rather than defend and 'splain herself to Linda and all those other folks with legitimate issues.

    2. Anonymous8:54 PM

Good thing Sarah had a hand picked ethics board.

  49. Anonymous5:58 PM

This is why Sarah can't be a senator , vp or president. Life is not a beauty pageant walkway.

Sarah you can't stuff your bra and get Congress to do your bidding. Washington DC is not Wasilla.

  50. Anonymous6:05 PM

I'm sorry Sarah, I won't be able to work for your senate campaign. I changed my mind.

    1. Anonymous9:59 PM

The half term, half wit will never run for anything because she would have to come out from behind her Facebook/Twit bunker and actually speak to people! Take unscripted questions! And...gasp! work for a living.

$he is so delusional and cowardly it is beyond belief...

  51. Anonymous6:16 PM

    Bad News Good News

Bad news: Sarah Palin is most likely mad as hell over these comments.

Good news: Sarah can't shoot straight and you have plenty of time to get out of her range.

  52. Anonymous6:34 PM

Just imagine if you are the lucky one with the illegally signed Sarah Palin American flag. Probably worth some money. That is what the American flag means to some, money.

  53. Anita Winecooler6:49 PM

The dingbat didn't have much knowledge of flag etiquette when she famously posed for "Runner's world" and even once "challenged" candidate Obama to a race. Bwaaaahhhaa!

Oh, dear. That graph! Time for another "vacation"? Or a twerk or two with Donald Trump after tweaking on Meth?

Time to inflate the tata's, add a few pasties, and take the pole on Fox News!

    1. Anonymous7:53 PM

You always make me laugh, Anita! How about a picture of Sarah's head on Miley Cyrus' body with a SarahPac logo and have it say "Twerking Donate Today!!"

    2. Anita Winecooler4:57 PM

Yeah, I can see it now, "Will Twerk for Donations", and Todd sending pre owned foam hands. Does he get a write off for licking "postage" (eww I think I made myself throw up a little... that's a first)

  54. Anonymous7:25 PM

Call to Action: If you think that it is wrong for Sarah's PAC to slap their logo on images of Kutcher, Chomsky, military personnel or an image of MLK which is supposed to be copyrighted by Getty images then it is simple . Write to Kutcher, Chomsky, DOD and Getty, include a screen shot and express your outrage. I didn't include the Duck Dynasty guy because he might actually like the Palins. I don't think that they realize that Sarah's PAC is using their images to raise money. Sarah didn't like it when she accused Begich to use her in fundraising.

    1. Anonymous7:10 AM

Let General Katkus know about this, he will have no choice but to demand that she remove the image.

Sarah has been to, I don't know, 6 colleges, high school, junior high, elementary school, city council member, was mayor, governor, vp candidate, her father was a school teacher, mother to five school children and attended their school, and Sarah has yet to learn about flag etiquette. What does it take Alaska?

    1. Anonymous9:22 PM

Since you are asking what does it take?

Since you are wondering why Sarah keeps making the same mistakes over and over again?

I'm curious how many generations of Sarah's relatives and kids, including herself was pregnant before marriage. Maybe they were all premature, I don't know?

    2. Anonymous9:41 PM

They say Mayor Sarah had to hire a town, manager, Todd was unofficially the co-mayor and co-governor. State employees had to cc Todd. A lot of SarahPac money went to consultants.

      Sooooo what's your guess?

    3. Anonymous9:55 PM

I blame the Alaska beauty pageant organization for not teaching Sarah about flag etiquette. How can you represent Alaska or the United States of America if their contestants do not know about flag etiquette? (Snark)

    4. Anonymous10:56 PM

What does it take? Why are you asking us? Ask Sarah. We're not her mother or father.

    5. Anonymous7:23 AM

@9:41, my quess is that Sarah Palin has always been incompetent from the get go. Always having to fall back on Todd. They said Todd was present at her mayor and governor meetings, sitting in a corner.

Can't dispute this, there are numerous emails showing that state officials working closely with Gov Sarah had to also include Todd in their emails and needed to get his approval. Pretty sad now that you think about it.

  56. Anonymous9:02 PM

We can count on Sarah Palin not disrespecting our American flag anymore. Every once in a while we have to keep her straight. Great job Immoral Minority faithful.

  57. Anonymous9:30 PM

  58. Anonymous9:33 PM

I'm not from Alaska, what flag did the Alaska Independence Party honor?

  59. Anonymous9:46 PM

What about all of Sarah Palin's religious crosses and her big belt buckle? I'm sure they mean something to her. Don't they?

    1. Anonymous7:03 AM

Some say her different religious crosses are for photo ops and for pandering just like how she uses the American flag. It all depends what group she is trying to impress. Don't know how to say this, I think Sarah uses all her trinkets (different religious crosses) and the American flag like she does her different chest sizes? As fashion accessories?

  60. Anonymous10:17 PM

I thought all these tv news people and bloggers were jealous of Sarah Palin when they said she is an idiot. Now I understand why.

  61. Anonymous9:02 AM

    Response to comment below.
There are a lot of good people in Alaska who depend on and trust their state and city officials. I asked these state and city employees at all levels who has worked for Sarah Palin all these years, why did you remain silent and still do?

There are Alaskans with backbones like the lady who confronted Sarah as the worst governor, the lady who filed the ethic charges against Gov Sarah Palin and a few others who stood up.

To all of you Alaska state and city employees who are aware of the skeletons in Sarah's closet and her incompetence during the 2008 campaign, why didn't speak up? You owed it to America to reveal what you knew and this is what upsets a lot of true Americans.

    Anonymous7:23 AM

Who better to your circle wagons with than high school friends?

Did Gov Sarah hide her incompetence by bringing her unqualified Wasilla friends with her to the capital? They won't tell.

What can you tell us about Hezbollah?

    SP: Hesbulla?

SP: Tawd did Hesbulla go to Wasilla High with me?
