Virginia man "accidentally" shoots and kills man repossessing his truck.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

A 23-year-old Maryland man who had taken a job repossessing cars so he could buy a wedding ring for his new wife died over the weekend after a Virginia man shot him twice.

Fauquier Now reported that Junior Jordan Montero died while he was attempting to repossess a 10-year-old pickup truck in Fauquier County early Friday morning.

When Sgt. Darrell Shores arrived on the scene, 53-year-old truck owner Carroll Edward Gregg Jr. told the deputy that the shooting had been “just an accident.”

“He’s in there dead,” Gregg said, pointing to the ditch. “I shot him,” he allegedly explained.

“I shot, fell and shot again. It was an accident.”

Divers attempted to rescue Montero from the water-filled ditch where his tow truck end up, but it was too late.

Gregg told officers that it should be against the law for vehicles to be repossessed “in the middle of the night.”

Yes we could make it illegal to repossess vehicles at night when they are most likely to be at the residence, or perhaps we can make it illegal to shoot at people lawfully taking them back after the owner irresponsibly stopped making payments on them.

Oh wait, that is illegal.

I don't think any of us should be surprised by this, after all if people are now opening fire on police officers, and threatening BLM agents, why would we not assume that repo men were targets as well?

This is the country we live in now folks, remember to stay low.

“I shot, fell and shot again. It was an accident.”

That second shot, Mr. Gregg, you see that makes it murder.

And charged only with second-degree? The second shot should have made it first-degree murder.

9:47: I didn't read the link. Yes, first-degree murder, "with intent." He'd already wounded the man and had him in a ditch; there was no need for another shot, other than to kill him. That's what Gregg intended to do, and that's what he accomplished. And that's why he should be in prison for the rest of his life.

    3. I also don't understand the second degree. This should be first degree.

We have to. If we stay in our own echo chamber, we'll never get a pulse of the lunatics that vote.

And I bet the prosecutor will say that "it was just an accident" or that "the shooter was just defending his truck" and not press charges. The value of a human life has diminished so in this country. Don't these crazy people understand that when you shoot a gun at a person, you are likely to do grave bodily damage if not kill the person. Shooting should not be the first option anyone thinks of.

And stay out of Wal-Mart, or CiCi's Pizza, movie theaters, malls. And watch yourselves when you're around your psycho neighbors, relatives and friends who luv their guns. People go from slight irritations to murderous rage within seconds. I hope that man is convicted, it's clearly a case of murder.

  5. I just couldn't get past that a 23 year old young man just wanted to give his new wife a wedding ring. So many hopes and dreams and so much love and happiness, all cut short. Forever.

Just so someone could act out their stupidity and anger and fear.

    Unutterably heartbreaking.

Christian Journal Allows Convicted Child Molester to Pen Op-Ed Justifying His Crime (Images)

It seems like the religious right will forgive anything these days, also long as you say the right magic words.

Christianity Today published an anonymous piece in their Leadership Journal, penned by a convicted child molester who abused a member of the youth program. The piece doesn’t even attempt to offer a mealymouthed apology for the molestation of a child, and never uses the words “rape,” “statutory,” “crime,” or “illegal.” It instead focuses on his “easy trip from youth minister to felon” and is a wallow of self-pity acting as a warning to other pastors.

The anonymous felon writes in the piece that:

$arah Palin and Ted Nugent would have told this guy to reload, I'm sure.

Speaking of gun nuts and fringe right idiots, for the 2nd time in TWO WEEKS a person has died at an Atlanta area waffle house.

    Fauquier Now reported...
Ummm... how you pronounce that again?

"Up ta Fauquier County there was a feller shot 'nother feller tryin' to repo his picken-em-up truck.
    That's what Fauquier Now sez...

I heard tell the truck was parked at the second-hand store: Fauquier Again.

That's located near the town square, named for a turn of the century mute woman that everyone looked up to as a matron:
    Dumb Mother Fauquier.

But what's that one Fauquier doin takin that other Fauquier's truck in the middle of the night anywho? Inquirin' minds wanna know.

Best thing to do is just avoid them and all them other Fauquiers cause they're all plumb nuts. Just leave them Fauquiers well-enough alone, by cracky.

I swear, we live off the main road, it's 232 yards from the road to our house, and we have no trespassing signs posted the whole way up our drive. I still get people who ignore those signs and drive up to the house to try to sell us something, and I always tell them, "That's a good way to get shot" HOWEVER- I've never shot anyone!!! I go out and find out why they are here, and try to get them to leave. I had a truck repoed once and I did the same thing, and guess what? They took my truck, no shot's were fired, and we all walked away-ALIVE. This is cold blooded murder of a man doing his job. I was 2 payments behind and the loan company wouldn't work w/ me, so they took my truck and my paycheck, but that wasn't the tow truck drivers fault, it was my fault. I never once thought about killing him, that's the difference. This guy killed a man doing his job because the RW has told him over and over that it's ok to do so, so sad...

  11. One shot may be an accident. Two makes it murder.

And over a ten year old truck?

Explain that to the young widow.

The guy owes money on a ten year truck????? I love that mentality. He shoots twice, kills the guy, then blames it on the time of day. How about keeping up on the payments? Can't pay this month? Call the company, explain your circumstances, they'll be MORE than happy to increase the rate, problem solved and no "accidents".

In our papers, Wayne La Pierre just got two "good guys" with an arsenal to die for. And they're on the loose!

Fauquier County just let a cop off on three years for shooting Patricia Cook - while in her truck. An Anonymous call claimed a suspicious vehicle was in the parking lot. The lady was a Sunday School teacher. The cop shot her like 4 times in the head in her truck.

He claims his hand was stuck in her window.

Always an excuse. Corruption is when they use the excuses to justify murder and theft.

17 year old shot to death by like 4 cops - while wielding a knife.

Now... the protests in Ferguson say that black lives matter ....
Doesn't it also suggest that women's lives and men's lives matter?

They have abortion laws that give unborn - more rights than adult humans.

It just aint right I say.
