Heidi Cruz claims that her husband's campaign will "show us the face of God." Well isn't that special?

Courtesy of Right Wing Watch:

Sen. Ted Cruz’s wife Heidi, who has been campaigning for her husband full-time over the past several months, explained the role of faith in the Texas Republican’s presidential campaign yesterday, telling a South Carolina radio host that Cruz is running to “show this country the face of the God that we serve.”

“This Christian God that we serve is the foundation of our country” and people need to be reminded that “Christians are loving people, are nonjudgmental people, but there is right and wrong, we have a country of law and order, there are consequences to actions and we must all live peaceably in our own faiths under the Constitution.”

The face of God?

 Really?

Well gee I guess we now know the answer as to why Heidi Cruz married Ted.

She's nuts.

Yes. Ted loves,to spank his children and drive his wife to depression. He's monumental as long as you agree with him. Ted is always right, and anyone not believing in his God is wrong. Laws only apply to the other guy, not Ted, who follows God. Peace,Heidi? Have you heard him talk about his plans for immigrants and Muslims, in America? I hope this interview comes back to bite him.

When ever someone tells you that they know what God wants...
you should know right then and there that that person is dangerous.

Not "dangerous" in a fun, thrill-seeker, devil-may-care way either, but dangerous as in torture and gas chambers and inquisitions and jihad. There is no limit to the unspeakable things a person WILL do when they KNOW what God wants.

I don't know about the face of God, but Ted Cruz's face is plastered with a really bad make-up job. He must have borrowed his wife's powder puff!

Yes, he absolutely looks like a drag queen. And he absolutely is wearing pancake makeup. Most of the time, in the Senate, he looks like he is wearing mascara. Eeeeew is right.

Anybody notice the lack of intimacy? First, the little girl and now he is kissing Heidi on the cheek. Looks like she is grimacing as well.

Agree with you 6:11 and 7:22. My first impression upon seeing that picture was that they can't stand each other, but must keep up the happy family facade...just like Sarah and Todd.

I thought that pic of Heidi and Ted "kissing" said it all about their personas.

Ted is looking side ways at the camera and Heidi is not going to let his slobbering lips anywhere her makeup.

I see no affectioni in that pic.

I also feel sorry for the daughter who did not want a kiss. I bet she got the whipping of her life for that display.

I am repeatedly driven batshit crazy by the fact that Republicans conveniently, consistently ignore that whole pesky "Separation of Church and State" thing, and the fact that the word "God" was not originally part of the pledge, but added during the wave of contagious insanity called "McCarthyism".
    Jerks.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Their response to the "wall of separation between church and state" is to simply write Thomas Jefferson out of the history books.

  23. Mrs Cruz says: “This Christian God that we serve is the foundation of our country”
It appears, in fact, that the Founding Fathers of the United States of America were high ranking Freemasons and Deists. Therefore the Founding Fathers acknowledged a Supreme Being or Creator, but did not mention Christianity. Where does Mrs. Cruz think 'separation of church and state' comes from???

Hi, Heidi! Mind if I call you stooonade? Where, exactly, did God sign the declaration of independence, and while we're at it, where's his fossil?
Gryph, I agree totally, but she's not just nuts, she's full throttle no holds barred crazy, look at who she married, and what's that thing growing from the back of his head?
In this instance, love is deaf, dumb, blind and crazy as a loon. Heidi "settled", she could have done better, sold herself short and bought the bull when the horn's for free.

I have always been a lifelong agnostic, but sometimes I think God maybe does exist when my dogs wag their tails and smile at me with their eyes. Thankfully and interestingly enough, none of them resemble Ted Cruz. They're all infinitely better looking.
