President Obama endorses Hillary Clinton. Update!

Courtesy of NBC News:

"I know how hard this job can be. That's why I know Hillary will be so good at it. In fact, I don't think there's ever been someone so qualified to hold this office," he says in the video, which was tweeted by Clinton's official Twitter account.

"I have seen her judgment, I have seen her toughness, I have seen her commitment to our values up close," he said of his former Democratic rival and first secretary of state.

Obama and Clinton will appear together in their first joint campaign trip together next Wednesday in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Clinton's campaign said.

Well that is a fairly ringing endorsement right there.

The President also met with Bernie Sanders today and somehow convinced him to stop being a dick and to work with Hillary Clinton to defeat Donald Trump in the general.

And they say the man cannot perform miracles.

I am going to update this post a little later tonight after Elizabeth Warren, or as I call her "Madame VP," endorses Hillary on the Rachel Maddow show.

That's right kids, everything is starting to come together nicely.

Update: Well as expected Elizabeth Warren just endorsed Hillary Clinton, with real passion might I add.

And when Rachel Maddow followed up with questions about whether she was being vetted as a VP candidate, Warren said "not to her knowledge" but never said that she was not interested in the position.

And when asked if she felt she would be prepared, if she were the VP, to step into the presidency if called do so she said "Yes, I do."

I have never been more convinced that she is going to be Hillary's VP, than I am right now.

On Chris Matthews' Hardball, starting 13 minutes in and going without interruption until minute 43. Elizabeth Warren on the longstanding, ongoing, Republican effort to undermine the judicial system. The latter part of her speech concentrates on Trump. There's a preview article at:
    http://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/elizabeth-warren-trump-loud-nasty-thin-skinned-fraud
which, I hope, will eventually be linked to a video of the real thing.

If you have Hardball recorded, go play it now!

When I was watching Trump's speech Tuesday and Melania looked so miserable standing near him, I had to wonder what was happening at home. He must be such a total pain to have to put up with any day, but especially these days. Melania looked like she had lost any faith in him and like she did not want to be there. I wondered if he even yells at her and places blame on her. She's much like him with her own lying about her achievements (her website is a total joke) and she latched onto him to climb the ladder and stay in the US and live the good life, so I don't have too much sympathy for her. I actually love the idea of her dream of ever entering the White House being smashed to smithereens. I just hope he isn't abusive up in their penthouse.

As a 40 something lifelong Democratic women, I know full well why I would live to see Elizabeth Warren cloned many times over so she/they could serve in the Senate and as Veep. But I'm still flummoxed by specifically why Gryphen is so gung ho for Warren, especially since I don't see him as the great progressive Democrat that he claims to be.

"Emails between U.S. diplomats in Islamabad and State Department officials in Washington about whether to challenge specific U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan are at the center of a criminal probe involving Hillary Clinton's handling of classified information, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.
The 2011 and 2012 emails were sent via the "low side" -government slang for a computer system for unclassified matters - as part of a secret arrangement that gave the State Department more of a voice in whether a CIA drone strike went ahead, according to congressional and law enforcement officials briefed on the FBI probe, the Journal said.
Some of the emails were then forwarded by Clinton's aides to her personal email account, which routed them to a server she kept at her home in suburban New York when she was secretary of state, the officials said, according to the newspaper."

You think the judge who sentenced the rapist from Stanford to just 6 months in jail is bad? How about an attorney who got her client 1 year in jail and 4 years probation, instead of 40 years in prison for raping a 12 year old? Pretty awful, huh? Well, that attorney is now the Democratic nominee for the President of the United States of America. And her name is Hillary Clinton. Where's the outrage?

      Yup.
      And laughed about it.
"Newly discovered audio recordings of Hillary Clinton from the early 1980s include the former first lady’s frank and detailed assessment of the most significant criminal case of her legal career: defending a man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl.
In 1975, the same year she married Bill, Hillary Clinton agreed to serve as the court-appointed attorney for Thomas Alfred Taylor, a 41-year-old accused of raping the child after luring her into a car.
The recordings, which date from 1983-1987 and have never before been reported, include Clinton’s suggestion that she knew Taylor was guilty at the time. She says she used a legal technicality to plead her client, who faced 30 years to life in prison, down to a lesser charge. The recording and transcript, along with court documents pertaining to the case, are embedded below.

This account of the story has holes. She asked to be taken off the case but the answer was no and it was then her duty to do the best job she could. And she wasn't laughing about the victim or anything to do with the case as if it were funny. She said she believed the guy was guilty (she "knew" nothing--of course she couldn't know if he was guilty) and her laughter was the laughter of disbelief when he actually passed the polygraph and she said the result would forever make her question polygraphs.

The FBI is conducting two separate criminal investigations concerning Hillary. The White House acknowledged that today in the daily briefing.
One is about the unsecured homebrew server at Hillary's private residence and the 30,000 "deleted" emails.
The second investigation concerns the Clinton Foundation and whether or not there was any quid pro quo going on between the State Dept. and the Clinton Foundation.Perhaps the FBI upon perusal of all the emails they retrieved can determine what was going on?
Now,once the FBI finishes up their investigation, they refer their findings with a recommendation to the DOJ.
The DOJ then makes a determination whether they will seek to prosecute.
That's how it works and I know the the difference between the two,do you?

Elizabeth Warren DESTROYS Donald Trump During ACS Convention

In the speech, Ms. Warren says Mr. Trump’s criticism of the judge was in line with how Republicans have approached the judicial branch under President Barack Obama. Democrats have criticized Republicans for slow-walking the confirmation of judicial nominees since the GOP gained control of the Senate in the 2014 midterm elections.

“Trump isn’t a different kind of candidate. He’s a Mitch McConnell kind of candidate,” Ms. Warren said in her remarks. “Exactly the kind of candidate you’d expect from a Republican Party whose ‘script’ for years has been to execute a full-scale assault on the integrity of our courts.”

Barack Obama made his support for Hillary Clinton official on Thursday. So did Vice President Joe Biden and liberal hero Sen. Elizabeth Warren. The major political groups surrounding Sanders are saying it’s time to unify.

The campaign is rapidly winding down around Sanders, the Senate gadfly-turned-unlikely revolutionary who outperformed everyone’s expectations, and he finally began to acknowledge it Thursday.

Republicans have no way of matching what Democrats are about to do. Hillary Clinton will dominate the media coverage every time she campaigns with the popular Obama. Democrats are going to be able to send a President and First Lady Obama, former President Bill Clinton, progressive Senators like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders to blanket the country on behalf of Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump will be sending the unpopular trio of Ben Carson, Chris Christie, and Sarah Palin out to speak for him. Trump told the Republican Party yesterday that he is not going to raise the $1 billion in campaign funds that he promised them. Instead, he is going to do loads of television interviews.

Democrats are putting together a victory juggernaut.

The Republicans have one candidate. The Democrats suddenly have a whole team of the heaviest hitters ready to pound him.

Eight years after they faced off in a bruising primary campaign, President Barack Obama endorsed his one-time primary opponent—former Senator and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

And, to paraphrase Clinton, the Democrats just put a village to work against Donald J. Trump. Led by a powerful trifecta of elders— Barack, Hillary and Bill— the Democrats have two jobs: Coalesce and energize support among non-white voters and introduce the country to the real Trump on the campaign trail.

Not Satisfied With Destroying The GOP, Donald Trump Is Also Destroying Fox News

Now there is evidence that it isn’t just the GOP that Trump’s hateful rhetoric and childish demeanor are bringing down. TVNewser is reporting that the Nielsen ratings for last Tuesday’s primary night show Fox News getting knocked off of their top tier status among cable news networks:

“CNN was No. 1 in the key A25-54 demo […] And in a rare occurrence, MSNBC topped Fox News in the demo in both prime time (8 p.m. – 11 p.m.) and extended coverage (7 p.m. – 2 a.m.) MSNBC finished No. 2 in total viewers from 10 – 1 a.m. ET.”

It’s one thing for CNN to rank first in the ratings, which they have done several times in the past year. But for Fox News to be losing to perennial third-placer MSNBC is a monumental failure that indicates much deeper problems for both the network and the Republican Party for which it shills. This upset on primary night is significant because it reveals that the television audience in general is keenly interested in Hillary Clinton’s victory and historic achievement as the first woman to be nominated for president by a major party. At the same time it shows that Fox’s viewers were too depressed to even tune in, except for the brief remarks made by Donald Trump and his new friend, the TelePrompter.

All I know is if Senator Warren is the dem vp choice I so want sarah to be tRump's because I can't think of anything sweeter than Elizabeth Warren debating sarah palin. It would be practically criminal how Senator Warren would chew her up and spit her out. The smack down would be epic. Senator Warren and Secretary Clinton debating like grown ups and sarah and the donald shaking their little fists and screaming playground insults.

On a David Gerrold post, he suggested Hillary/Michelle Obama. Two First Ladies.

That would be totally awesome except Michelle hates politics.

Think about it. 2 First Ladies running the country. I love it.

Vote more women into Congress. It's time we had the women running the country.
