Night Four of the Democratic Convention Open Thread. Update!

So here we are, on the last night folks.

And so far this convention has been incredibly inspiring and even fun to watch.

Comparing it to the RNC convention last week does not even seem fair at this point since it is head and shoulders above that trainwreck we witnessed in Cleveland.

Even the ratings make that point. In fact they are so good that the Donald Trump campaign is pleading with people to skip tonight:

On Thursday morning, Trump's campaign sent a fund-raising email urging supporters not to tune into Clinton's acceptance speech on Thursday night.

"Unless you want to be lied to, belittled, and attacked for your beliefs, don't watch Hillary's DNC speech tonight," the email read. "Instead, help Donald Trump hold her accountable, call out her lies and fight back against her nasty attacks."

(Remember folks that Republicans live in the land of opposites, so when they say you are being lied to they really are afraid somebody is telling potential voters the truth. Can't have that now can we?)

Most of the big name speakers have already had their turn on stage, but tonight the candidate herself gets to speak so that should be good too.

However it is really going to have to pull out the stops to beat a moment like this from last night.

I'm just saying.

 Earlier this happened.
Those are 12 Women in the Senate coming out in support of Hillary Clinton.

Not a bad endorsement. and certainly not something Donald Trump could manage to pull off.

Update:
Seems fair.

Sarah Palin accuses the President of issuing a "slap in the face" to the American people by offering promises of a better future. Yeah WHO does that in politics?

Click anywhere to start video, but watch the precariously perched roadkill wig.
Hannity starts off accusing the President of breaking his promises and of a laundry list of failures. So who better to bring in to talk about being a failure than the Lunatic from Lake Lucille herself?

However apparently out of fear that the dipshit will say something truly stupid again Fox only had her on for a grand total of about five minutes, with plenty of video interspersed throughout to cut down on her ranting time. (The Palin word salad begins at the 3:00 mark)

Hannity starts off asking Palin whether or not we should hold the President accountable for his old promises (You know the ones the GOP keep blocking him from keeping) before believing in his new ones.

Batshit -crazy Barbie:

(Starts off barely audibly) "Well we do. And those repeated promises, and then as you are suggesting, a whole host of new promises..um really is a slap in the face of the electorate. There's an estimation of an unintelligent voting block out there I think that...uh...President Obama is assuming will continue to want to get free STUFF, despite free stuff will replace freedom. And he's just assuming that that voting block will be large enough to get him back in there, but I just pray that Americans will open their eyes between now and November when they know that they'll have to make that choice between free stuff and freedom, you can't have both."

So in a nutshell the woman who charged the state of Alaska a per diem to stay in her own house, and often demands bendy straws, free airfare, and hotel accommodations for family members before agreeing to give a speech, is accusing Obama supporters of wanting "free stuff?"

Okay I was either just overcome with irony, or the home studio lights reflecting off that cheap gaudy Star of David just blinded me. Hang on.

Okay I feel better now let's move on to Hannity accusing the Democrats of putting on, and these are HIS words, a "boring," "stale," and "uninspiring" convention. (Sorry it took me awhile to finally stop laughing out loud at that. Hey Hannity have you HEARD Jennifer Granholm?) And then asking Palin which "adjectives" SHE would use.

Blank stare Barbie:

"Uhhhh, well last night it was very painful to watch ("Painful" THAT'S an adjective, right?) the President's speech. (That's cause it was full of all those big wig elite words and such!) And..and..not just because we knew he was not telling Americans the truth, with his suggestions of how well things were going and how well things will go if we gave him four more years of these repeated felled (sic) policies. But you're right there was a lack of enthusiasm, and a lack of passion for this country. A lack of sincerity when it came to, for instance, his claims of supporting our troops and yet many of us look back just a number of months ago and remember a specific about the troops, for instance, where he was ready and willing to throw our troops under the bus if he didn't get his way on budgets and debt ceiling increases, he was going to withhold, or was willing to, the troops paychecks! So as he talked about the support that he has for, again for instance, the troops, all you have to do is go back in time to the very recent past and realize that he contradicts himself  he really is...uh the antithesis of consistency that you would hope would be in a President."

Okay first off all of that is bullshit! The reason that the debt ceiling almost did not get raised was due to obstructionism from the Teabagggers that SHE helped to get elected. But what can one expect from a woman who set the very standard for avoiding the truth that the current GOP seems to have adopted as their most important political platform?

What is more telling here is that Palin and Hannity are clearly doing their level best to deny the reality of how well the Democratic convention came off as compared to the steaming pile of political malfeasance and crazed elderly antics that represented THEIR convention.

They are essentially urinating all over the President's parade, but the fact is he, and the rest of the Democratic party, won't even bother to take notice as they march toward certain victory in November, leaving a fuming Sean Hannity, and soon to be unemployed Sarah Palin, choking on their dust.

Hey I have an idea. Maybe if Palin plopped an even LARGER fright wig on her pointy noggin, while wearing an even MORE obnoxious religious symbol against her bony anorexic clavicle, somebody might actually pay attention to her bullshit.

Hey, it's worth a try! After all, what ELSE does she have to offer?

Because So many people requested it, here is Jennifer Granholm's entire convention speech. You might want to hold onto something.

Look don't worry if you have not had your cup of coffee before watching this, because trust me in a minute you are no longer going to need it.

Okay well I'm ready to tackle my day, how about you?

Sarah Palin believes that Senator John Kerry diminished himself by mentioning her name. But not nearly as much as the Republicans diminished themselves by choosing her as their VP candidate.

Click on giant head to play video before it topples over.
Gee first day back with full access to the internet and the Grizzled Mama says something stupid. It's like I never left.

This time the dimwit seems to have forgotten that she ran for the Vice Presidency in '08. (Too many Red Bulls laced with vodka crazy lady?)

She starts off calling the Democratic convention (I'm sorry I believe she MISPRONOUNCED it as a "Democrat convention.") a "bunch of bunk." Which in Palin speak must mean "An incredibly uplifting experience that made the Republican convention look like an amateur production of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" put on by the local KKK in a little backwater town in Georgia."

Cavuto, who can barely be understood with his lips so tightly sealed to Palin's lily white anorexic ass,  brings up the fact that John Kerry made this remark during his speech at the convention, "Sarah Palin said that she could see Russia from Alaska. Mitt Romney talks like he's only seen Russia by watching Rocky IV." Which by the way WAS pretty funny.

The Lunatic from Lake Lucille responds by essentially telling one of the few truths she has EVER spoken:

"I think he diminished himself by even mentioning my name."  In that we have to agree as I believe ANY important politician today ONLY diminishes themselves by mentioning this loser. However then Palin goes on to make herself sound even MORE pathetic and perhaps even a little deranged:

"I think he diminished himself by even mentioning my name. Hows does he even know my name? (WTF? Apparently Palin has managed to do what the rest of he country has still not managed to do, she forgot she ever ran for the Vice Presidency. Oh, how I envy her!) I mean aren't these guys suppose to be this big wig elites, who don't waste there time on the little people, like me. Me representing the average American? (says the woman giving an interview on cable television to honor her million dollar contract from her own home studio in her house.) I did say Alaska, in Alaska you can see Russia from our land base. And I was making the point that we are strategically located on the globe, and when it comes to transportation corridors and resources that are shared, and fought over, Alaska, and I as the Governor, had known what I was doing in dilling (sic) with um...some international issues that had to do with our resources that could help secure the nation. So it's funny that he would take a little potshot like that. But um...it's funny he even knows my name."

Yes it IS funny that a sitting Senator who once ran for President himself would have learned the name of the VP candidate who ran four years later. I mean what does John Kerry do, read the newspapers?

Okay I tend to avoid talking about Palin's health anymore, since when I do she sometimes feels the need to fake a marathon, but did anybody else notice that she seems to be all head these days? Her shoulders are SO narrow that it looks like somebody placed a Sarah Palin head on the body of a twelve year old. (And wouldn't THAT be cruel?)

You know I always wanted Palin to disappear from the public airwaves, but it seems like she might be disappearing from our reality altogether. (Sort of like Marty McFly in the "Back to the Future" movies.)

Pretty soon the only thing we will be able to see in these interviews is a  giant wig, and an oversize pair of glasses, attached to what will appear to be a broomstick.
