Zach Galifianakis will not have Donald Trump on his show "Between Two Ferns" because it would be taking advantage of the "mentally challenged."

LA Times: So now that we’ve seen how many people have watched this episode (With Hillary Clinton), have you been approached by Donald Trump’s campaign wanting to get in on things?

Galifianakis: No. That doesn’t interest me. Doing it the other way doesn’t interest me. He’s the kind of guy who likes attention – bad attention or good attention. So you’re dealing with a psychosis there that’s a little weird.

I wouldn’t have somebody on that’s so mentally challenged. I feel like I’d be taking advantage of him. And you can print that.

Well he's got a point.

Trump has no idea how to go along with the joke, and would come off looking irritated and unfunny.

Kind of like Ann Coulter did during the Rob Lowe Roast.

Hillary Clinton makes an appearance on "Between Two Ferns" with Zach Galifianakis.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton fielded questions from Zach Galifianakis on his Funny Or Die show “Between Two Ferns.”

Galifianakis jokingly peppered Clinton with questions about how fast she could type as secretary (of state) and how President Barack Obama likes his coffee.

You know #ImWithHer and everything so I am supposed to be supportive, but this did not work for me. It really didn't.

I know that Hillary is attempting to reach out to the millenials and that is a good thing, but this is really not her thing.

She does just fine on talk shows, she gives good speeches, and she is going to crush Trump in the debates, but this was a swing and a miss in my opinion.

Especially since it invariably invites a comparison to President Obama's appearance with Galifianakis, which is a really bad idea.

The President is a natural comedian with great timing, and a gift for self deprecating humor. He never seems to take himself very seriously, but he takes the job quite seriously, and it shows.

Hillary does not need to emulate President Obama, she just needs to be herself and explain to the American people, including the millenials, why she is a far better choice than her opponent Donald Trump.

That really should not be that difficult.

Speaking of the President, guess who won an Emmy last night?

Okay technically it was Between Two Ferns that won the Emmy, but it was the President's performance that clearly won the day. (I mean let's face it Galifianakis is a hack.)

Here is the category:

Outstanding Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program: Between Two Ferns, featuring President Barack Obama (FunnyOrDie.com)

In case you have not seen it.

You know I looked, and looked, and looked, and I simply could not find the nomination for the Sarah Palin Channel anywhere.

Maybe next year Sarah.

Just keep those eyes crossed. I'm sorry...fingers crossed.

Speaking of the Emmy's Sarah Silverman also won last night for her comedy show, and being an Atheist her acceptance speech was a little different:

“We’re all just made of molecules, and we’re hurtling through space right now.”

Nice. And accurate.

After having won a Nobel Peace prize, and a Grammy, now the President is nominated for an Emmy.

That web based Funny or Die clip has been nominated for an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Short-Format Live-Action Entertainment Program category.

Really, Republicans deserve the credit for this Emmy nod (which is good since they can’t credit Obama for anything except blaming him for things they did), because if they hadn’t been fear-mongering about Obamacare in the first place, the President never would have had to take such extreme measures to get the word out.

I am sure that this is yet another thing that the Republicans will say the President is doing to distract from Benghazi, or the IRS "scandal," or the border problem, of whatever is the crisis du jour.
