Remember that little girl was in awe of Michelle Obama's official portrait? Yeah, well her story got even better.

You may remember when I posted this on Sunday.

Well since then somebody alerted the former First Lady to this story.

You can probably predict what happened next.
Damn, here it is so early in the morning and my damn eyes are leaking again.

I totally sympathize with this little girl. Update!

Courtesy of YouTube:

Adorable little girl sobs realizing Obama is leaving office.  He's the only president she's ever had in her life. Her grandmother comforts her by telling her that they'll write him.

Trust me when I see what the choices are in 2016, I wish President Obama could run for a third term as well.

Update: President Obama responds to his little girl because...well because he is President Obama.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

In a Facebook comment on the video posted by the girl's grandmother, Caprina Harris, the president told the young girl, who shares a birthday with Obama, that once he left office, he wasn't going anywhere.

"Caprina, tell her to dry her tears, because I'm not going anywhere. Once I leave the White House, I'll still be a citizen just like her," Obama wrote. "And when she grows up, she can get involved right alongside me. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out for her letter, and we'll always get to celebrate our birthdays together!"

And now I'm going to miss him even more.

How can you be against Obamacare when it is presented in such an adorable fashion?

Those painfully cute images are the brainchildren of the folks over at the Adorable Care Act who decided that perhaps the ACA would be less frightening to Americans if presented in the above adorable fashion.

Of course as most of US know the ACA is anything BUT frightening, as demonstrated by the fact that while 46% of Americans oppose Obamacare only 37% oppose the Affordable Care Act.

And for those who are still a little spooked they can always visit Politfact who addresses the Top Sixteen Myths about the Health Care Law. (Including by the way that ridiculous death panel BS. Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it Sarah Palin!)

I think it is well past time for everybody to realize that the law is NOT going to be repealed or defunded, it IS going to start for everybody on October 1st, and, want it to be true or not, the only way that it will ever honestly be considered a terrible plan is once it is replaced by a single payer one.

Possibly the cutest internet video EVER!

This from the YouTube site:

Little Arthur takes a break from walking his dog to play in a puddle, taking a stroll through the woods with 12-year-old Shar Pei Watson. Arthur treks through it before deciding to head back and splash around some more.

Sometimes it is just nice to take a break from all of the conflict and ugliness in the world and take a moment to focus on the things that make life wonderful.

Like a boy and his dog. And a puddle.
