Okay some of those people can really dance!
Not a bad way to start the morning, don't you think?
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Is there any better way to end the day than with President Obama and the First Lady dancing with storm troopers?
What is it, only about eight more months that we have this wonderful man leading our country?Dance. Or dance not. There is no try. #MayThe4thBeWithYou https://t.co/9g1JUHV1n5— The White House (@WhiteHouse) May 5, 2016
That is just not long enough.
I am still waiting for Obama to decide it is time to take off the gloves and go after Donald Trump.
I think Elizabeth Warren does a pretty good job, but NOBODY kneecaps Trump and drops him to the floor quite like POTUS.

Quite possibly the greatest dad of all time.
Courtesy of WTVR:
McKenzie Michelle Carey was born weighing just over eight pounds, 12 years ago on April 20, 2002.
Eighteen months later she was diagnosed with a life-threatening disease identified as Mitochondrial disease. Mitochondria are considered the cell’s power producers, and the work they do helps generate fuel for the cell’s activities. But McKenzie’s mitochondria can’t do what they are needed to do; sustain life and support growth.
The disease damages cells of the brain, heart, liver, skeletal muscles, kidney and the endocrine and respiratory systems.
McKenzie isn’t paralyzed, but she can’t walk and she is non-verabal — though her mother says she understand everything said to her.
But her condition didn’t keep her off the stage for the summer pageant, thanks to her awesome dad, Mike Carey.
Let me honest and admit that I saw this video two days ago but was so overcome with emotion I could not type up a post.
I'm doing better today, but still struggling to see the keys.
However if this man can do this for his little girl, I think I can manage to power through and help him share it with the world.

Chris Christie on the Tonight Show. Attempting to improve his political options, or just having a little harmless fun?
Courtesy of the New York Daily News:
If the Bridgegate scandal has taken a toll on Gov. Chris Christie, he didn’t show it Thursday when he did a light-weight dance on “The Tonight Show.”
A tanned and slimmer Christie bounded onstage for an “Evolution of Dad Dancing” skit, doing the “Back It Up” and “Don’t Make Me Turn This Car Around” with host Jimmy Fallon. Then the New Jersey Republican and die-hard Springsteen fan stalked off in faux rage when Fallon did a “This Bridge is Closed” dance.
Later, during a sit-down, Christie shrugged off a ribbing about his weight — calling Fallon a “putz” for going there.
Personally I don't think that Christie could dance nearly fast or long enough to sweat out the stench of bridge-gate, but perhaps he does.
I will admit that it's pretty entertaining, and always a good idea to have politicians demonstrate the ability to laugh at themselves though.
However if Christie was trying to outshine a certain First Lady with his dance moves he failed miserably. Can you say EPIC FAIL?

Did Bristol Palin's ghostwriter not see Dancing with the Stars?
So this was posted on Brancy's blog earlier today:
I came across this Scripture and wanted to pass it along.
“The blessing of The Lord brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.” Proverbs 10:22
This reminds me of that old saying “you’re either sleeping well, or eating well.”
Well, the good news is that you can have both with God’s blessing!
It reminds me of when I was on Dancing with the Stars, especially the first time. I knew God’s plan for my life would always be bigger and better than a reality show. I knew whatever was to happen, would happen.
There’s freedom in that.
God has given me so much! That means I’m able to “sleep well,” and ”eat well” with all of his blessings.
Okay I am not exactly sure what this means because I am, what do you call it, sane.
Wonkette tried to make sense of it, but I think they might have hurt themselves in the attempt.
However what jumped out at me were these portions:
“you’re either sleeping well, or eating well.”
And....
It reminds me of when I was on Dancing with the Stars, especially the first time. I knew God’s plan for my life would always be bigger and better than a reality show.
Now that of course cannot help but remind all of us of these pictures.
Now why would Bristol's ghostwriter type up a post about eating well that mentions her first go around on DWTS when the whole country was trying to figure out how somebody supposedly training for up to seven hours a day could gain 30 to 40 pounds, when every contestant previously, and since, lost weight at a dramatic rate?
I mean is she TRYING to invite ridicule?
Or perhaps Nancy French is trying to tell us something about Bristol's current condition.
Things that make you go, hmmm.

The Tonight Show has some fun with the President over his reaction to yesterday's Supreme Court decision.
Okay, THAT was pretty funny!

Margaret Cho on Bristol Palin: "She has grown up to be quite a homophobic person. Where did that come from? " Anybody want to answer that question for Margaret?
Courtesy of The News Tribune:
On “Dancing With the Stars,” you had some conflict with Bristol Palin. What happened?
She has grown up to be quite a homophobic person. Where did that come from? I knew she didn’t want to do the show. She’s really quite a private person. But Sarah Palin had forced her to because Sarah blamed her for losing the 2008 election. So I had to tell everybody about that because it’s really good gossip and it’s funny and it’s true. She got very furious with me, or actually her mother’s speech writer got really furious with me in a long, obtuse homophobic rant at me. I can’t believe Bristol would sign her name to that because first, she can’t read, and she doesn’t know that many words.
Okay that is not only funny but also completely accurate concerning Bristol's response to a posting on Cho's blog. For those who may have forgotten back then Margaret said the following:
Why did Bristol do Dancing with the Stars? I heard from someone who really should know (really should seriously know the dirt really really) that the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it. Sarah supposedly blames Bristol harshly and openly (in the circles that I heard it from) for not winning the election, and so she told Bristol she “owed” it to her to do DWTS so that “America would fall in love with her again” and make it possible for Sarah Palin to run in 2012 with America behind her all the way. Instead of being supposedly “handicapped” by the presence of her teen mom daughter, now Bristol is going to be an “asset” – a celebrity beloved for her dancing. I am sure the show wasn’t in on this (but who knows anything really).
Although I don’t agree with the family’s politics at all, I really like Bristol as a person. She’s warm and incredibly supportive, and I think that she looks beautiful out on the dance floor. It’s heartbreaking that people are so awful to her about her weight. I think she looks fantastic, and why does everybody think they have a right to comment on our bodies? What are young girls going to take away from that? If people call her fat what kind of impact does that have on women who have similar body types – which is most of us??!! Still, it is a dance competition, and so I am sure that people feel they have the right to judge bodies and not just ability. That’s just wrong.
Bristol is learning. She improved a lot, in my opinion. Her tango was fierce and really the best dance she did. You really do learn to dance in this competition! I am proud of her for shaking her ass! But keep in mind there are other forces at work here and it’s not just for the love of dance.
Now I am scared I am going to wake up with a decapitated moose head in my bed.
Actually much of that is quite complimentary to Bristol, but since she dared to reveal a truth about why Bristol was on DWTS, which really pissed Bristol/Sarah/"The dark forces behind Sarah" off, clearly she needed to be taught a lesson and so Bristol/RAM/"The dark forces behind Sarah" responded on Bristol's fake Facebook page. Here is but a taste to give you some idea of the accuracy of Cho's statement in the interview:

Another reason to be angry at Anthony Weiner.
That guy in the white shirt embarrassing the hell out of all of the Caucasians in America is 9th Congressional District Assemblyman David Weprin, who just so happens is running for Anthony Weiner's old Congressional seat.
Is it too late to just reinstate the guy who showed the world his penis? Comparatively speaking I think it was somewhat less embarrassing.
And can I just say as a representative of my pasty white homies, that not ALL of us are lacking the "get down and boogie" gene.
I myself have danced on stage, in numerous nightclubs that I was not asked to leave, and at one time even professionally. (No I will not elaborate on that last part because whatever was your first assumption will, sadly, turn out to be the correct assumption.) The secret to not dancing like an arthritic Alzheimer's patient suffering a slight hearing loss which makes it impossible for you to find the beat, is to not TRY to dance. If you try to hide your lack of dancing ability through big distracting movements you will just look like an epileptic trying to pick fruit off of a tree. Just like 9th Congressional District Assemblyman David Weprin in the above video.
