Courtesy of CNN:
One source familiar with the Russia investigation resorted to a mathematical equation to divulge -- sort of -- the number of agents assigned to the matter.
It's five to 10 fewer than were assigned to the Hillary Clinton email investigation, said the source, who is not authorized to speak publicly and did so on the condition of anonymity. There were about two dozen dedicated to that case, so that makes 15 to 20 on the Russia investigation.
Now the "reason" given by this source is that there was a lot of data to sift through and a time crunch in the Hillary email investigation, and less data and virtually no time pressure on THIS investigation.
Are you fucking kidding me?
That entire private server "scandal" was bullshit from jump street, and yet there is less concern that our president might be compromised by a foreign government?
How in the hell does that work out mathematically?
Every damn day our journalists are uncovering yet more evidence of Trump administration lies and collusion with the Russians and yet the FBI treats this like it's on the same level as watching a rarely visited drug house on the off chance a buy might go down.
I'm telling you I simply do not trust James Comey anymore, and with Trump asking almost all of the federal prosecutors to resign I just get the feeling that there is some serious obstruction in the works.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

"Doomsday Prepper" planning last stand against the Federal government, decides instead to turn himself in for some burgers and fries.
![]() |
| Martin Winters. |
The two-day manhunt for a Florida man ended Wednesday morning at the FBI office in Tampa, when 55-year-old “doomsday prepper” Martin Winters surrendered to authorities. According to the Tampa Bay Times, a wet, footsore and weary Winters gave up his freedom for the promise of some dry shoes, Gatorade, a couple of cheeseburgers and some French fries.
Winters is the head of a group known as the River Otter Preppers, survivalists who believe in hoarding weapons and supplies ahead of an apocalyptic event foretold in the Christian Bible’s final book, the Book of Revelations. (Oh they sound like a fun group.) An undercover FBI agent infiltrated the group and spent months building a case against Winters, who the agent said was planning a bloody, heavily-armed “last stand” against law enforcement officials.
“We’re glad to report that Mr. Winters did the right thing,” FBI spokesman David Couvertier told reporters. “We were hoping for a peaceful resolution, and today we got that.” A federal grand jury handed down an indictment two weeks ago naming Winters and five others on charges of designing and building destructive devices without a permit and other charges. Winters invoked his right to remain silent on Wednesday when he appeared before Magistrate Judge Thomas Wilson.
Authorities attempted to apprehend Winters on Monday, but he fled the scene, prompting the offer of bounty money.
"Give it up Feds, you're never going to take me alive! Hey, are those fries I smell?"
If the real Founding Fathers, for which men of this sort express such admiration, had been this easy to lure into captivity we would all be drinking tea, referring to each other as "guv'nuh," and calling a car hood a "bonnet."
Honestly though I am glad this did not end with somebody getting shot. Hopefully the dozens of incidents just like it that are almost certainly coming in the near future will end in a similar, non-violent, fashion.
Of course that does not serve the purposes of those on the Right Wing fanning the flames of distrust and hatred toward our government who are hell bent on starting a conflict in which some poor bastard is gunned down by federal agents of one kind or another, so that they can be martyred and used to increase the level of anger and vitriol, until the country explodes in a newer, more violent, version of the Civil War.

Just can't stop "palling around" with domestic terrorists can you Sarah Palin? Update!
![]() |
| Justin Giles of Wasilla, Ak. Standing guard at the Bundy ranch standoff April 18, 2014. |
Well I sure didn't.
However a sharp reader did, and they sent me another picture of Justin Giles, which they found while looking through his Facebook page.
Now why does that lady look so familiar?
According to his Facebook page this picture was posted on February 24th, of this year. You know, less than two months before he strapped on his assault rifle and helped a group of sovereign citizens threaten government workers just trying to do their jobs in Nevada.
Hey do you know what else is interesting? It seems that Mr. Giles was formerly Sgt. Giles of the United States Marine Corps.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't taking up arms against federal agents kind of a no no when you are in the Marine Corps, or in the reserves?
And here is another interesting tidbit.
My sources tell me that he is also friends with a certain Maria Rensel, who you may (or may not) remember is behind the "Free Schaeffer Cox" page.
So to be clear Sarah Palin is obviously good friends with a former Marine Sergeant, who took up arms against federal employees in Nevada, and is good friends with a supporter of convicted domestic terrorist Schaeffer Cox.
I know, I know, probably just a coincidence.
Though there is somebody that we all know who does not believe in coincidences. (Gold star if you can guess who.)
P.S. Here's the part that kind of burns my ass.
@AverageChirps Justin Giles of Wasilla, AK will be easy to find. Sarah will know how to reach him. Plenty of pix. pic.twitter.com/kFhczjlQKI

That I was so late putting all of this together.I really need to hire myself an intern.
Update: I made some corrections to the post concerning Giles military service. Originally I was under the impression that he was active duty, but in fact he is currently out of the service.
Really must look into that intern situation.

The Next Cliven Bundy standoff will be in Utah. Lucky Utah.
Courtesy of Mother Jones:
It looks like a new front has opened up in Cliven Bundy's war against the US government.
This Saturday, angry residents of San Juan County, Utah, plan to illegally ride their ATVs through Utah's Recapture Canyon—an 11 mile-long stretch of federal land that is home to Native American archeological sites—because they don't think that the federal Bureau of Land Management should have designated that land off-limits to motor vehicles. The protest was meant to be a local affair. But on Thursday, Bundy, the rancher who wouldn't pay the feds grazing fees and sparked a gun-drenched showdown in Nevada, called on his supporters to join the anti-government off-roading event, E&E Publishing's Phil Taylor reported. Bundy, whose crusade against the federal government became tainted by his racist comments, is looking to spread the cause from cattle to cross-country cruising.
"We don't expect any violence," San Juan County Sheriff Rick Eldredge told the Denver Post last week. Others aren't so sure, especially since the out-of-staters in attendance could help rile things up—which is what happened during the Bundy stand-off. "This may blow up to be significantly more than they thought," Bill Boyle, a resident of San Juan and publisher of the San Juan Record newspaper told the Post. "I think there are those who would like everyone with an AK-47 to be here."
San Juan County residents who plan to attend Saturday's event are Bundy supporters and Ted Nugent fans, according to an analysis of their Facebook pages by the Denver Post. They also hate President Barack Obama and Senate majority leader Harry Reid, according to the newspaper, which reports that "BLM employees in San Juan County have had windows shot out of their homes and their yards torn up by ATVs in the middle of the night."
Bundy supporters AND Ted Nugent fans? Well you know there is no reasoning with that crowd.
In fact things have already become potentially violent:
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management is warning its workers in Utah to be on alert after two men threatened an agency wrangler on the state's main highway by pulling out a weapon and holding up a sign that read, "'You need to die."
The incident occurred Tuesday morning on Interstate 15 about 90 miles south of Salt Lake City, said BLM spokeswoman Megan Crandall. A BLM employee was driving his agency vehicle and pulling a trailer when two hooded men came up alongside him in a dark blue Dodge truck and flipped him off, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Corey Houskeeper said.
The truck slowed down before the men came up beside the BLM officer again and pulled out the sign and flashed a firearm, he said. No one was hurt, as the men sped away.
This of course is EXACTLY what the Federal government feared might happen after the Nevada stand off.
It can only be a matter of time before some local law enforcement or federal agent gets shot, and THEN what will Bundy say when he is in jail for inciting violence?
By the way apparently Bundy is also offering online history lessons for all of you who wasted your time learning the "wrong" history in school.
No I am NOT kidding! Here see for yourself.
He is going to look so precious all dressed in orange and with that obnoxious hat taken off of his pointy head.
