Donald Trump is looking to clean house and replace his senior staff with people who will not try to rein him in. Uh oh!
Courtesy of Vanity Fair:
With the departures of Hope Hicks and Gary Cohn, the Trump presidency is entering a new phase—one in which Trump is feeling liberated to act on his impulses. “Trump is in command. He’s been in the job more than a year now. He knows how the levers of power work. He doesn’t give a fuck,” the Republican said. Trump’s decision to circumvent the policy process and impose tariffs on imported steel and aluminum reflects his emboldened desire to follow his impulses and defy his advisers. “It was like a fuck-you to Kelly,” a Trump friend said. “Trump is red-hot about Kelly trying to control him.”
According to five Republicans close to the White House, Trump has diagnosed the problem as having the wrong team around him and is looking to replace his senior staff in the coming weeks. “Trump is going for a clean reset, but he needs to do it in a way that’s systemic so it doesn’t look like it’s chaos,” one Republican said.
Sources said that the first officials to go will be Chief of Staff John Kelly and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, both of whom Trump has clashed with for months. On Tuesday, Trump met with John Bolton in the Oval Office. When he plans to visit Mar-a-Lago next weekend, Trump is expected to interview more candidates for both positions, according to two sources. “He’s going for a clean slate,” one source said. Cohn had been lobbying to replace Kelly as chief, two sources said, and quit when he didn’t get the job. “Trump laughed at Gary when he brought it up,” one outside adviser to the White House said.
Next on the departure list are Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump. Trump remains fiercely loyal to his family, but various distractions have eroded their efficacy within the administration. Both have been sidelined without top-secret security clearances by Kelly, and sources expect them to be leaving at some point in the near future.
"He doesn't give a fuck."
Okay this article legitimately made my legs shake.
I think it is safe to say that Donald Trump is clinically insane.
And the only hope for this nation is that the people around him exert some control over his impulses.
If he simply fires those that are doing that, and replaces them with sycophants afraid to correct him or raise objections to his lunatic ravings, we are seriously fucked here.
Robert Mueller better put his investigation on the fast track because as long as Trump is in office this whole country, if not the entire world, remain in serious danger.

The FBI is looking closely at one of Ivanka Trump's business deals.
![]() |
Uh oh. |
US counterintelligence officials are scrutinizing one of Ivanka Trump's international business deals, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
The FBI has been looking into the negotiations and financing surrounding Trump International Hotel and Tower in Vancouver, according to a US official and a former US official. The scrutiny could be a hurdle for the first daughter as she tries to obtain a full security clearance in her role as adviser to President Donald Trump.
It's standard procedure to probe foreign contacts and international business deals as part of a background check investigation. But the complexity of the Trump Organization's business deals, which often rely on international financing and buyers, presents a challenge.
The FBI has been looking closely at the international business entanglements of both Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, to determine whether any of those deals could leave them vulnerable to pressure from foreign agents, including China, according to a US official.
Well now considering the fact that Trump has declared that his family's business deals should be off limits from investigators, his over protectiveness when it comes to his daughter, and the fact that he has now lost Hope, this could be the thing that causes Trump to snap and start throwing around accusations and firing people.
Or has that already happened?
Of course if the FBI is investigating these business ties then it is a given that Robert Mueller will have access to anything of concern, and THAT could mean that Ivanka will soon have her turn in the barrel.
Let's see what that does to Donald Trump's barely contained rage monster.

Woman who works in the White House, and is representing the US at the Olympics, says it is inappropriate to ask her questions about her bosses sexual misconduct, because she's his daughter.
Okay first off I think we all know that she knows these allegations are certainly not false.“Do you believe your father’s [sexual misconduct] accusers?” -@PeterAlexander— TODAY (@TODAYshow) February 26, 2018
“I think it’s a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he’s affirmatively stated there’s no truth to it.” -@IvankaTrump pic.twitter.com/23AVPgcOdE
And secondly, EVERYBODY accused of sexual misconduct denies that they did it.
If we simply took a predator's word for this there would be no rapists or child molesters in prison.

Sources say that Trump chief of staff John Kelly may be headed to the chopping block, and that Ivanka is actively searching for his successor.
Courtesy of Vanity Fair:
Donald Trump’s relationship with John Kelly, his chief of staff, fraught from the beginning, may finally have gone past the point of no return. Two prominent Republicans in frequent contact with the White House told me that Trump has discussed choosing Kelly’s successor in recent days, asking a close friend what he thought about David Urban, a veteran Washington lobbyist and political operative who helped engineer Trump’s victory in Pennsylvania. Ivanka is also playing a central role in the search, quietly field-testing ideas with people. “Ivanka is the most worried about it. She’s trying to figure who replaces Kelly,” a person who’s spoken with her said.
Kelly’s departure likely isn’t imminent, sources said. “He wants to stay longer than Reince [Priebus],” an outside adviser said. Trump can also hardly afford another high-level staff departure, which would trigger days of negative news cycles. “This could be like [Jeff] Sessions,” one of the Republicans explained, referring to Trump’s festering frustration about not being able to replace his attorney general.
But the prospect of a Trump-Kelly rupture became more probable as news of their clashes over immigration leaked. Last week, Kelly reportedly infuriated Trump when he told Fox News that Trump had “evolved” on his position to build a southern border wall. Kelly further catalyzed Trump’s ire when he told Democratic lawmakers that Trump was “uninformed” when he made his campaign promise to build the wall. The next morning Trump rebutted his chief of staff with a tweet: “The Wall is the Wall, it has never changed or evolved from the first day I conceived of it.”
No way this should come as a surprise to anybody, Trump simply does not like to be controlled.
And Kelly has been trying to get the White House to run with military like efficiency which has some staffers referring to him as "the Church Lady."
Of course as we have discussed in the past, once someone like Kelly is removed that leaves Trump unsupervised, and like the over grown toddler that he is his impulsivity will be left unchecked and the unraveling of his presidency will only accelerate.
I guess Ivanka better get on the stick.

Robert Mueller's investigation may now also involve Ivanka Trump.
Courtesy of the LA Times:
Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III has recalled for questioning at least one participant in a controversial meeting with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in June 2016, and is looking into President Trump's misleading claim that the discussion focused on adoption, rather than an offer to provide damaging information about Hillary Clinton.
Some defense lawyers involved in the case view Mueller's latest push as a sign that investigators are focusing on possible obstruction of justice by Trump and several of his closest advisors for their statements about the politically sensitive meeting, rather than for collusion with the Russians.
Investigators also are exploring the involvement of the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump, who did not attend the half-hour sit-down on June 9, 2016, but briefly spoke with two of the participants, a Russian lawyer and a Russian-born Washington lobbyist. Details of the encounter were not previously known.
It occurred at the Trump Tower elevator as the Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, and the lobbyist, Rinat Akhmetshin, were leaving the building and consisted of pleasantries, a person familiar with the episode said. But Mueller's investigators want to know every contact the two visitors had with Trump's family members and inner circle.
I think that if Trump were to pull the trigger on trying to fire Mueller, it would be right about now.
Going after Ivanka is probably the one thing that Trump simply cannot tolerate.
This will push him over the edge, if anything will.

Your Tuesday morning Russia investigation news dump. So much to see here.
I already wrote about that deal for another Trump property in Russia yesterday, which also featured this Felix Slater fella.
However that was only the tip of the bad news iceberg for Donald Trump.
Courtesy of the New York Times:
The associate, Felix Sater, wrote a series of emails to Mr. Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, in which he boasted about his ties to Mr. Putin. He predicted that building a Trump Tower in Moscow would highlight Mr. Trump’s savvy negotiating skills and be a political boon to his candidacy.
“Our boy can become president of the USA and we can engineer it,” Mr. Sater wrote in an email. “I will get all of Putins team to buy in on this, I will manage this process.”
(Okay if this is not proof of collusion with Russia I will eat my hat.)
The emails show that, from the earliest months of Mr. Trump’s campaign, some of his associates viewed close ties with Moscow as a political advantage. Those ties are now under investigation by the Justice Department and multiple congressional committees.
Sater also apparently arranged special access for Trump's daughter Ivanka.
Yeah, I have not heard of too many people who can brag that they sat in Vladimir Putin's chair.
However Trump has downplayed the friendship with his rather powerful associate for years, even walking out of an interview in 2013 when questioned about it:
Back in 2013, British program BBC Panorama directly asked Trump why he was still doing real estate deals with Sater, and Trump frantically tried to deflect the question before walking out of the interview all together.
“Well, first of all, we were not in business together, that was a licensing deal,” Trump said.
“But your name’s on it, Mr. Trump!” replied reporter Jon Sweeney.
“Excuse me, but I don’t know, you’re telling me things that I don’t even know about,” Trump replied. “I mean, you’re telling me about Felix Sater. I know who he is…”
Sweeney then interrupted him.
“But for a year, you stayed in bed with Felix Sater, and he was connected with the mafia!” Sweeney pressed.
“Again, Jon, maybe you’re thick, but when you have a signed contract, you can’t, in this country, just break it,” Trump replied. “And by the way, Jon, I hate to do this, but I do have that big group of people waiting, so I have to go.”
Trump at that point got up and walked out of the interview.
Touchy, touchy.
I am not buying that one licensing deal gets your daughter access to the chair of the most powerful man in Russia. But nice story bro.
In other Russia investigation news, Mueller is looking at what Trump knew about that meeting in Trump Tower between Junior and the Russian lawyer:
Federal investigators working for Special Counsel Robert Mueller are keenly focused on President Donald Trump's role in crafting a response to a published article about a meeting between Russians and his son Donald Jr., three sources familiar with the matter told NBC News.
The sources told NBC News that prosecutors want to know what Trump knew about the meeting and whether he sought to conceal its purpose.
As you may remember Trump supposedly helped draft a letter which explained the meeting away as just a talk about Russian adoptions.
Later of course we learned that it was really about Russian sanctions and sharing dirt on Hillary Clinton, which made Trump's letter a complete lie.
ANOTHER complete lie.
This of course is only one of many avenues being explored by Mueller and his team of investigators, which seems to be moving ever closer to obtaining the evidence needed to start impeachment proceedings against Trump.
Perhaps that is why there is one GOP lawmaker looking to pull the rug out.
Courtesy of Politico:
Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) is pushing an amendment to severely curtail special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia. DeSantis has put forward a provision that would halt funding for Mueller’s probe six months after the amendment’s passage.
It also would prohibit Mueller from investigating matters that occurred before June 2015, when Trump launched his presidential campaign.
Of course the reasoning DeSantis uses for pushing this amendment is that he does not want this investigation to become a "fishing expedition."
Makes sense, after all this is not about something important like the Benghazi investigation or looking into Hillary Clinton's emails, right?
Sadly for DeSantis it appears that many of his colleagues, including Paul Ryan, are supportive of the Mueller investigation so it does not appear that his amendment will find much support.
It seems like just about every day we learn something explosive about Trump's ties to Russia. If this were a disaster movie, right around now the Trump character would be hanging by his fingertips from the edge of the crevasse just moments before he fell to his doom.
Let's see how long he can hang on shall we?

News outlets reporting that Ivanka is the one who ousted Stephen Bannnon from the White House.
![]() |
Source |
Donald Trump’s controversial aide Steve Bannon was ‘pushed out’ by his daughter Ivanka and her husband because his far-Right views clashed with their Jewish faith, according to Washington sources.
Chief strategist Bannon, 63, helped orchestrate the US President’s stunning election victory but was vilified for his extreme opinions.
Many blamed him for Trump’s failure last week to condemn neo-Nazis after a violent rally in Virginia at which a woman was killed and dozens were injured.
First daughter Ivanka converted to Orthodox Judaism when she wed millionaire businessman Jared Kushner in 2009.
The couple have three children. A source said: ‘Jared and Ivanka helped push him out. They were concerned about how they were being viewed by the Jewish community.’
Wait, so are they suggesting that the Jews would not be down with a White Supremacist, Nazi sympathizer working in the White House?
Well you know who needs to go next then, don't you?
This Daily Mail story has also been picked up by Breitbart.
And the comments from their readers were.....let's say.....colorful:
We didn't vote for this faux Jew witch. She's gotta go!
NO ONE elected Prince and Princess Kushy....
We've been sold down the river for a WH full of Lib Loons...led by Ivanka and Jared. Now we know what Bannon meant. Trump is no longer in control. The populist Presidency we all fought SO hard for is over. How disappointing this is. I didn't vote for Ivanka! #GoBannon
BANNON'S REMOVAL WAS A DISGRACE . . . Throw these DISHONORABLE TRUMP CLOWNS along with that TWO-FACED SMILING WENCH and HER SNIVELLING HUSBAND JARED outta the White House.
THEY HAVE NO HONOR
Well they seem nice.
If indeed Ivanka helped to push Bannon out that may be the only really positive thing she has accomplished since becoming Daddy's Little Assistant.
However as I alluded to earlier, the head Nazi is still in charge, so really she has not accomplished anything of importance.

The war within the White House intensifies as top advisers assemble their own teams to push their own agendas.
Courtesy of Politico:
President Donald Trump won office on promises to shake up how Washington works, and so far that’s been most apparent in his own West Wing, where his top advisers have built up personal staffs to support their own agendas instead of using a traditional White House policy and messaging operation.
Chief strategist Steve Bannon has two special assistants, a deputy assistant, an executive assistant and a body man working in his “war room” — plus his external press hand, something his predecessors under President Barack Obama, David Axelrod and David Plouffe, never had while working in the White House.
Senior adviser Jared Kushner has two staffers working directly below him, as well as another five in the newly created Office of American Innovation who are focused on his portfolio of White House issues. Included in that mix is a communications adviser, Josh Raffel, a former Hollywood PR exec who previously repped Kushner’s real estate work.
“It is a new development for a White House staffer to have their own individual PR people,” said Ari Fleischer, who served as White House press secretary during George W. Bush’s first term.
Guess who else has their own personal staff people.
Senior counselor Kellyanne Conway, whose portfolio spans opioids, veterans issues and communications, has a chief of staff, Renee Hudson, who manages one person below her. Hudson, who has the title of deputy assistant to the president, was a chief of staff to Rep. Todd Rokita (R-Ind.) and is considered a strong policy aide to Conway, taking the lead on many of her issues, including opioid abuse and military spouse employment. Even more critically, she fills in for Conway at senior meetings when she’s traveling around the country advocating for Trump’s agenda at rallies.
Ivanka Trump also has a chief of staff, Julie Radford, who holds the title of special assistant to the president and manages only a single person below her.
As Obama’s chief strategist, Axelrod had two special assistants and an executive assistant underneath him. Plouffe had a deputy senior adviser and two special assistants when he took over the role — half as many dedicated staffers as Bannon or Kushner have.
The extensive personal offices also illustrate the distrust among top West Wing officials in the White House communications shop, which is stocked with loyalists to chief of staff Reince Priebus who used to work with him at the Republican National Committee.
“There is no trust in the current structure to defend everyone equally,” said one White House official.
Nothing says unified message like each member of a team hiring their own staff members to push through THEIR agendas.
Trump is running his White House like they used to structure those episodes of The Apprentice, which pitted contestants against each other.
But that was a stupid reality show, these are the people who are supposed to be solving problems and keeping the country safe.
There has been infighting in the White House before, but I think that this time there might actually be a body count.

Ivanka Trump claims that she was not expecting "this level of viciousness." New York Times editor reminds her who her father is, calls her "a filthy liar."
Courtesy of CNN:"There is a level of viciousness that I was not expecting...but this isn't supposed to be easy." -@IvankaTrump pic.twitter.com/viiMQ2ij1d— FOX & friends (@foxandfriends) June 12, 2017
Asked whether it was hard to get things done in light of the ongoing Russia investigation, Trump admitted she was "a little blindsided" by distractions she attributed to media "ferocity."
"It is hard. And there is a level of viciousness that I was not expecting. I was not expecting the intensity of this experience, but this isn't supposed to be easy. My father and this administration intends to be transformative, and we want to do big, bold things and we're looking to change the status quo. So I didn't expect it to be easy. I think some of the distractions and some of the ferocity was — I was a little blindsided by on a personal level," she said.
"But for me, I'm trying to keep my head down, not listen to the noise and just work really hard to make a positive impact in the lives of many people. At the end of the day, if you want to think about difficult, it's the factory worker who's been laid off. Difficult is the mother who lost a child to opioid abuse. So these are the real challenges and I think that does put it in perspective."
Okay can hypocrisy almost make you throw up in your a little? Because I think that just happened to me.
Somebody else who had a little trouble with his gag reflex was New York Times Commentary Editor John Podhoretz.
Well I bet he can expect an angry Trump tweet later on today. Her father said Ben Carson was a psychopath and Ted Cruz's father killed JFK and she wasn't expecting viciousness. She's a filthy liar. https://t.co/8srNXVNTyA— John Podhoretz (@jpodhoretz) June 12, 2017
Not that he's wrong of course, because he's not.

Donald Trump meets the Pope.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
I would say that this one is worth perhaps twice that many.
Have you ever seen a glummer group of people?
The only one smiling is the idiot in the early stages of dementia.
Here it looks as if the Pope cannot believe he has to actually interact with his moron as if he is the president of the United States.
After the meeting Trump had this to say:
"He is something," Trump said of the Pope later in the day, during a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni. "We had a fantastic meeting. We're liking Italy very, very much and it was an honor to be with the Pope."
For his part the Pope sent Trump a rather clear message:
The Pope's gift left no questions about its symbolism, presenting Trump with an olive tree medal crafted by a Roman artist that the Pope said symbolizes peace.
"We can use peace," Trump said.
"I signed it personally for you," the Pope offered.
Like I said, a clear message.

Here is Donald Trump criticizing Hillary Clinton for accepting money from Saudi Arabia. Something that his daughter just did as well.
Oh yeah taking money from Saudi Arabia is a terrible idea while they are killing gays and mistreating women.Trump criticizing Hillary for accepting $ from Saudi Arabia. Ivanka's proposed foundation will be taking $100 mill from S.A. and U.A.E. pic.twitter.com/Wt301oZ3Tn

So why is Ivanka doing that very same thing?
Courtesy of Think Progress:
Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have pledged $100 million to the World Bank’s Women Entrepreneurs Fund, an initiative proposed by first daughter and senior White House adviser Ivanka Trump. The fund, which was first announced in April, has already raised serious legal and ethical questions about how a White House adviser can both shape foreign policy and actively solicit donations from foreign countries for the fund.
Okay perhaps I missed the memo but has Saudi Arabia STOPPED treating women like slaves and killing gay people?
Or is all of this only wrong when a Democrat does it?

Ivanka Trump's clothing line is manufactured in a Chinese sweatshop that makes its employees work 60 hour weeks for around 62 dollars.
Courtesy of WaPo:
Workers at a factory in China used by the company that makes clothing for Ivanka Trump’s fashion line and other brands worked nearly 60 hours a week to earn wages of little more than $62 a week, according to a factory audit released Monday.
The factory’s 80 workers knit clothes for the contractor, G-III Apparel Group, which has held the exclusive license to make the Ivanka Trump brand’s $158 dresses, $79 blouses and other clothes since 2012. The company also makes clothes for Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and other brands.
Inspectors with the Fair Labor Association, an industry monitoring group whose members include Apple and Nike, found two dozen violations of international labor standards during a two-day tour of the factory in October, saying in a report that workers faced daunting hours, high turnover, and pay near or below China’s minimum wage.
The inspection offers a rare look at the working conditions of the global manufacturing machine that helped make Trump’s fashion brand a multimillion-dollar business.
Its release also comes as the president’s daughter has sought to cast herself as both a champion of workplace issues and a defender of her father’s “buy American, hire American” agenda. Trump, whose book “Women Who Work” debuts next week, was in Germany on Tuesday for public discussions about global entrepreneurship and empowerment.
“We can add billions to the global economy by creating an enabling environment, increasing women’s labour force participation and business ownership, and improving the productivity of their work,” Trump wrote in a Financial Times essay Monday.
Well it would certainly be hard to improve productivity past 60 hour work weeks now wouldn't it?
And since it is quite likely that a clothing manufacturing plant would hire mostly women, I guess this is how Ivanka Trump empowers women in the workforce.
Clearly Trump's own High Society Barbie is just as full of shit as her Cheeto tinged father.

Disrespectful POS.
But then, just for contrast, take look at how he boards Marine One with Ivanka.
It's like night and day.
Yeah I don't typically make too much out of this sort of thing, but something is really fucked up about all of this.

Apparently Ivanka Trump has inspired a cult of Chinese admirers. Update!
![]() |
Goddess Ivanka with her very first worshiper. |
Her father's brand may be struggling for popularity in the US, but Ivanka Trump is cultivating a cult following in China.
An online fan club on the website Weibo, which is similar to Twitter, even refers to the president's daughter as 'Goddess Ivanka'.
NBC News reports the page with the same title has about 12,000 followers, many of whom are effusive in their praise for the 35-year-old.
Hu Xingdou, a Beijing professor, told the network much of Ivanka Trump's popularity comes from people thinking she is supportive of China.
'Most people in China love Ivanka because of her friendly gestures towards the Chinese people,' Xingdou said.
'Ivanka is an important bridge during this period of uncertainties in China-US relations.'
Seriously?
I swear that Trump has people so freaked out that they will cling to any possibility that somebody can rein him in.
However as John Oliver pointed out over the weekend, it is unlikely that Ivanka is that person.
Yeah let's face it the only thing that can rein Donald Trump in is a conviction for treason and some much needed prison time.
Hopefully that is what looms in his future.
Update: Apparently the Germans are not quite as gullible as the Chinese.
This is what happened when Ivanka attempted to defend her father during a W20 conference in Germany.
Ivanka gets booed and hissed by audience when she says her father is a"tremendous champion of supporting families."— Annie Karni (@anniekarni) April 25, 2017
Well that seems like a more rational response to Trump's little apologist. The crowd audibly rumbled, booed when Ivanka mentioned her father's support of women.— Emily Jane Fox (@emilyjanefox) April 25, 2017

Here is a breakdown of what it has cost the American taxpayers so far to have Donald Trump as our president.
Courtesy of Yahoo News:
President Trump's trips to Mar-A-Lago
Total cost for security in Palm Beach: $3.7 million
Roundtrip flights from Joint Base Andrews, Mayland to West Palm, Florida: $700,000
Overtime for local law enforcement during Trump’s trips: $60,000/day
Total golf cart rentals ordered by the Secret Service "for POTUS visit": $35,185
Loss to business due to airport closure: -$30,000/weekend
Keeping the first family in Trump Towers
Request for additional Secret Service funding to secure Trump Towers: $60 million
New York Police Department security costs: $127,000-$146,000/day
"Elevator services" ordered by the Secret Service: $64,000
Air Force One flights to New York City: $180,000/hour
The Trump children's trips around the world with Secret Service
Eric Trump’s hotel costs in Uruguay: $97,830
Eric Trump’s hotel costs in the U.K. this week: $11,261
Eric Trump’s limousine services in Dublin: $4,029.85
Rental ski equipment and clothing for secret service during Ivanka Trump's trip to Aspen: $12,208
Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump’s hotel costs in Vancouver: $53,155
Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump’s hotel costs in $16,738
The provided costs don't even include airfare rates for Secret Service agents taking each trek with the Trumps, nor does it include the data on those agents’ salaries and other expenditures taxpayers may be footing the bill for. The budget was expected to naturally increase based on the size of the Trump family as compared to the size of his predecessors, but critics are concerned the billionaire first family hasn’t acknowledged that it's not him paying for his trips, it's the American people.
It is estimated that Trump's trips to Mar-a-Lago alone will cost more than President Obama's entire yearly travel expenses before his first 100 days.
So I guess this is what Trump was talking about when he said he wanted to Make America Great Again.
Apparently that just meant for him and his family.

So it appears that Ivanka Trump was actually the one who decided to launch a missile attack against Syria. I'm sorry, when was she elected president again?
![]() |
Syria made me very upset Daddy. Bomb them...bomb them all. |
(Eric Trump) also confirmed that President Trump’s decision to bomb a Syrian airbase to punish President Bashar al-Assad for a nerve gas attack last week was influenced by the reaction of his sister Ivanka, who said she was “heartbroken and outraged” by the atrocity.
So let me get this straight.
We just launched an illegal attack against a sovereign country, without first seeking the approval of Congress, because Ivanka Trump was traumatized by some photographs?
Don't get me wrong I was upset by those photographs as well, as I am sure many of us were.
However having an emotional response to a picture is not what should determine a military response.
Especially if that emotional response was from your grown ass daughter who is not currently holding an elected position or seat on your cabinet.
I have to imagine that if we were living in an alternative universe where Hillary Clinton won the election, that if Chelsea approached her sobbing over a photograph and saying that we need do something, her mother would have informed her that they already had a plan in place, and to suck it up because there is no crying in the Oval Office.
By the way in this same article Uday...I'm sorry...Eric also said this:
Donald Trump’s decision to launch a cruise missile attack on Syria proved he is not in league with Russia and will not be “pushed around” by Vladimir Putin
Uh no.....no it doesn't.
But nice try.

Trump's son-in-law is scheduled to face questions by the Senate Intelligence Committee. Ruh Roh!
![]() |
Remember to come to my room tonight and tell me stories about having sex with my daughter. I love those! |
Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Trump, will be questioned by the Senate Intelligence Committee as part of the panel's investigation into Russia’s interference during the 2016 election.
"Mr. Kushner has volunteered to be interviewed as part of the committee's investigation into the Russian activities surrounding the 2016 election," senators Richard Burr (R, N.C.) and Mark Warner (D, Va.), the committee's chairman and vice chairman, told the New York Times in a statement.
According to the Times, the questions for Kushner will focus on two meetings he had with Russian agents in December, prior to his father-in-law's inauguration as president.
The first took place with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak alongside ousted national security adviser Michael Flynn at Trump Tower.
The second was a previously undisclosed meeting between Kushner and Sergey Gorkov, the head of Russia’s state-owned Vnesheconombank, which has been under sanctions since the annexation of Crimea in 2014.
Apparently the White House had failed to mention that second meeting, but don't worry because the White House spokesperson said that the meeting "went nowhere" and is certainly not something that anybody needs to probe into more deeply.
Seriously, stop looking!
Here is my prediction of what is going to happen during this questioning.
Kushner is going to lie.
And if he gets caught lying, he is going to lie again.
I know this like I know that Donald Trump has not seen his penis without the help of a series of mirrors for several years now.
This is what these people do, and so the only questions remaining are what will the Senate Intelligence Committee do about it when they discover the lie? And how will that affect Kushner's new job as the head of a "fix the government" SWAT team?
