White House Chief of Staff John Kelly ripped into a congresswoman who's been at the center of a controversy over a phone call President Donald Trump made to the family of Sgt. La David Johnson, a Green Beret killed in an ambush in Niger on October 4. 

"I was stunned when I came to work yesterday morning and brokenhearted at what I saw a member of Congress doing," Kelly said in an extraordinary White House briefing on Tuesday, referring to Florida Rep. Frederica Wilson who said Trump told the grieving widow that Johnson "he knew what he was getting into," setting off two days of controversy over the president's perceived insensitivity. 

Kelly later described Wilson as an "empty barrel" in a "long tradition of empty barrels making the most noise."

By the way Rep. Wilson was a family friend who was IN the car with the family as they traveled to retrieve the body of this young woman's dead husband as it arrived at the airport. It was the family that put the call on speaker phone.

Kelly then went on to say that HE was the one who told Trump to say that the soldier "knew what he signed up for," which he claims was what he was told by the officer, a family friend, who contacted him after his son was killed in the line of duty.

Kelly's contention was that Trump meant well, but perhaps phrased things indelicately.

Of course that flies in the face of every single thing that we know about Donald Trump.

Kelly also went on to lament the loss of things that were once held "sacred" in this country, such as women, life, religion, and Gold Star families.

Of course Kelly seemed to forget that it was his boss who disrespected the Khans, a Gold Star family, during the campaign.

As for women, he just finished attacking a female member of Congress.  (By the way that was even made more egregious by the fact that he essentially confirmed, despite what his boss had said, that she had been telling the truth.)

In his remarks Kelly confirmed that President Obama did not call him after his son died, but said that it was not a bad thing since it is hard for presidents to call everybody especially if there are frequent casualties.

However he failed to mention that he attended a White House hosted Gold Star family breakfast at which he sat at table with Michelle Obama.

It was clear from the outset that Kelly had been sent out to preform clean up duty for Trump.

However to do that Kelly had to reveal that he was essentially comfortably seated in the basket of deplorables who will stick with Donald Trump no matter what he might do, or how he might damage the country. 

And since a number of us were hoping that Kelly was somehow able to exert some control over Trump, that is very troubling to learn.

I am now left questioning John Kelly's integrity, and wondering if he is someone that can be counted on to rein in Trump's worst instincts, or if he is pouring gasoline on the embers of anger and frustration that Trump seems always to have smouldering under the surface?

Turns out Donald Trump Jr. can't quit his Secret Service detail.

Donald Trump Jr.'s Secret Service protection has been reactivated, sources familiar with the matter told CNN. 

The President's son had previously requested his protection be scaled back, seeking more privacy. 

By law, as an immediate family member of President Donald Trump, his son is authorized, but not required, to have protection. 

It is not clear what prompted the move. 

Previously, Trump Jr. had also requested to travel without protection during a family trip in June, which the Secret Service reluctantly approved. 

Two sources who spoke on condition of anonymity previously told CNN that the Secret Service strongly pushed back on his request, but said it was "demanded" by Trump Jr. himself. 

The Secret Service detail has been restored to what it was before, the sources said.

As a taxpayer I really don't want my money going to protect some sniveling trust fund baby who does not even appreciate it.

As far as I'm concerned the douchebag can walk away from his Secret Service protection and take his chances out in the real world.

We should take bets on how long he would last.

My money's on less than a week.

Mothers of two CIA operatives killed in Benghazi attack outraged over “cruel and callous” use of their son's images in anti-Hillary advertisement.

The mothers of two CIA contractors and former Navy SEALs killed in the 2012 attacks on the U.S. compound in Benghazi are outraged by a “cruel and callous” political ad that invokes images of their sons to level charges against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. 

Barbara Doherty of Woburn, whose son Glen Doherty died in the attack, told the Herald, “It’s so crude and so unfeeling to do something like this. To see your own son and hear a voice coming up from the grave, it’s tasteless.” 

A picture of Doherty’s son appears first in the ad. “Dear Hillary Clinton, I’d like to ask you why you ignored calls for help in Benghazi and then four Americas were murdered,” a voice reads. 

Doherty’s mother said this is the first time someone has put words into her son’s mouth like that — and he wouldn’t have liked it. “I won’t use the language he would have used, but he would be very upset.” 

Cheryl Croft Bennett, whose son, Tyrone Woods, died in the attacks, said the ad triggered the type of anger that she had avoided since he was killed. 

“I have not been angry because it’s counter-productive. But this ad made me angry,” she said. 

Woods’ picture appears second in the ad, and a voice-over reads: “I’d like to know why you lied, saying the attack was a response to an internet video.” The video then cuts to voice-overs with pictures of diplomat Sean Smith and U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, who both also died in the attacks. It ends with a picture of Stevens’ grave.

Man that is tasteless!

However not at all surprising.

Anybody who thinks that the conservatives REALLY care about the four Americans killed in Benghazi needs to stop drinking the kool-aid.

These men bravely gave their lives for their country and are now having their images appropriated without permission from their families and words put into their mouths by political operatives in order to attack a former Secretary of State.

That is shameless no matter how you look at it.

"You're in my house." President Obama shuts down protester during event honoring LGBT pride month.

President Barack Obama was heckled Wednesday during a White House event honoring LGBT Pride Month by an undocumented LGBT activist protesting his administration's policies on deportation and undocumented LGBT immigrants. 

"Not one more deportation!" Jennicet Gutiérrez shouted, before being escorted from the room by Secret Service agents. 

Obama appeared angry at the interruption and addressed Gutiérrez directly. "No, no, no. Listen, you're in my house. It's not respectful. Shame on you. You shouldn't be doing this," he said. 

Gutiérrez, a 29-year-old transgender woman, came to the U.S. from Mexico when she was 15. She is in the process of getting a green card through her sister, but is currently undocumented. At Wednesday's event, she said she intended to deliver a letter bringing the abuse of undocumented LGBT immigrants to Obama's attention.

You know I think there is certainly a time and a place to heckle a politician, but if you are transgender it seems doing it during a White House event honoring LGBT month just seems incredibly counterproductive.

I mean the President is already reaching out to your community, and has easily been the most pro-gay President that we have ever seen in this country.

So why try to embarrass him and anger other LGBT activists to make a point?

I think the President handled it well. And demonstrated great patience while doing so.

Sarah Palin is getting a head start on celebrating Flag Day by asking people to send pictures of flags. Totally coincidental that you will be giving SarahPAC your email address by doing so.

I bet when Betsy Ross was sewing the first flag that she thought "Boy someday this will really come in handy for some manipulative bitch to use to convince her ignorant followers to send her their hard earned money."

A Deficit of Dignity.

I read this New York Times article this morning by Timothy Egan that is ostensibly about the disrespect shown by Elizabeth Lauten toward the First Daughters. However the article makes the case that this is the kind of disrespect the President, and his entire family, have been receiving since the day he took office.

Here. take a moment to read what he says: 

We know President Obama wants a lasting deal on immigration, something to make taxes fairer, a little help from a caveman Congress on climate change. If he’s lucky, he might get some of the above. But one thing his worst opponents have never given him, and probably never will, is respect. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. 

From the day he took office, his legitimacy has been challenged, his American birth has been suspect, and he’s been personally insulted, lectured, yelled at and disrespected in public, by public figures, in a way that few if any American presidents have ever faced.

At this point Egan discusses the Lauten incident, which I think we all know quite a bit about so I will leave that out and instead share what he says a few paragraphs down:

I want to believe this is not about race, but it sure looks that way. Barely nine months into his presidency, a Republican congressman, Joe Wilson, shouted out “You lie!” at the president in the decorous setting of a joint session of Congress — a flagrant show of disrespect for the man and the office. For this, Wilson became a hero in conservative media. 

The biggest slap at the president was the smear about his birth. It’s insulting and humiliating that Obama — alone among presidents — has been forced to release his long-form birth record to satisfy a clutch of fact-deniers. Leading the attack on the president’s very citizenship is the professional vulgarian Donald Trump, who gets away with the kind of preposterous, race-based comments granted few black public figures. 

Trump’s displays of idiocy on Fox News are a staple of that network. I wait for the day when something Trump says that is both stupid and incendiary is held up as representative of all white people — and he’s asked to apologize for his race. 

Also on Fox, Sean Hannity recently blamed President Obama for the troubles in Ferguson — because, I guess, he’s black. 

The list goes on and on: Arizona’s governor, Jan Brewer, wagging her finger at President Obama while lecturing him on an airport tarmac, as if he were some errand boy and not the commander in chief. The complete fraud of the Benghazi nonstory — as even a Republican House panel had to conclude recently. The endless millions spent finding nothing scandalous about the president on Benghazi proved just one thing: how grass-roots conservative hatred of the president drives Republican congressional action.

The article goes on to talk about the disrespect demonstrated toward Michelle Obama as well, which included this rather satisfying paragraph: 

The first lady cannot go on vacation without the Drudge Report hyping elaborate travel bills, playing to race insinuations. But when the family of Sarah Palin was involved in a beer-fueled, fist-flying brawl in Alaska this year, conservative media did not call them out for bad white family values, or failures as role models.

Yeah, I always love when the brawl shows up in an article just to remind all of us that despite all of her attempts to make it go away this thing stuck to Palin and her family, like a dingleberry on a dog's ass.

I don;t know about the rest of you but I found myself yelling "Goddamn right!" over and over as I read this article.

And that is really the thing after all. When people argue that this President could have done more, or  that he failed to keep all of his campaign promises, or that he is "ineffectual," I want to grab them by the shoulders and shake them vigorously while yelling "What could YOU have accomplished with this level of disrespect, obstructionism, and  partisan entrenchment?"

In light of what this President has faced since the very day of his inauguration, he is a fucking miracle worker.

His list of accomplishments is actually quite staggering, even without considering that he is piloting the country into unrelenting partisan headwinds that essentially never let up.

I told my brother during Thanksgiving that history is going to completely exonerate this man, and that he would hardly recognize his presidency in ten to fifteen years. After the historians get the chance to wipe way all of the mud that is being thrown at him everyday by the Right Wing politicians and conservative media, they are going to reveal some amazing accomplishments of which I really think most Americans are not even completely aware.

Ultimately, and I think this is going to anger the racists most of all, President Obama might really turn out to be the "Magic Negro."

Bill Cosby finally responds to allegations of sexually assaulting numerous women in his past. Well sort of.

Addressing reports of the assertions by several women that they had been drugged and sexually assaulted by him, Cosby told a Florida Today reporter backstage, “I know people are tired of me not saying anything, but a guy doesn’t have to answer to innuendos. People should fact check. People shouldn’t have to go through that and shouldn’t answer to innuendos.” Cosby did not comment on the allegations during his show.

Well the facts say this:  

Sixteen women have publicly stated that Cosby, now 77, sexually assaulted them, with 12 saying he drugged them first and another saying he tried to drug her. The Washington Post has interviewed five of those women, including a former Playboy Playmate who has never spoken publicly about her allegations. The women agreed to speak on the record and to have their identities revealed. The Post also has reviewed court records that shed light on the accusations of a former director of women’s basketball operations at Temple University who assembled 13 “Jane Doe” accusers in 2005 to testify on her behalf about their allegations against Cosby. 

The accusations, some of which Cosby has denied and others he has declined to discuss, span the arc of the comedy legend’s career, from his pioneering years as the first black star of a network television drama in 1965 to the mid-2000s, when Cosby was firmly entrenched as an elder statesman of the entertainment industry, a scolding public conscience of the African American community and a philanthropist. They also span a monumental generational shift in perceptions — from the sexually unrestrained ’60s to an era when the idea of date rape is well understood.

Bill Cosby is a well educated man, so you would think that he would know that the "Innuendo" means:  

a statement which indirectly suggests that someone has done something immoral, improper, etc.

What is listed above are not innuendos, they are accusations. Most of them from women who have nothing to gain by making them, and THAT'S a fact. 

Cosby attitude about this seem to be the same ones that allowed him to do this in the first place.

He thinks of himself as untouchable, and thinks of the women he was abused as temporary playthings that should simply go away and know their place when he has no further use for them.

And if there is a need for more facts, then this former NBC employee has plenty to spare:

“He had everybody fooled,” said Scotti in an exclusive interview with the Daily News. “Nobody suspected.”

Milwaukee police chief responds to questions from press with epic response.

Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn made a national name for himself on Wednesday after an impassioned video went viral on YouTube. 

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel posted a three-minute clip of Flynn responding to police protesters, who turned out to a Fire and Police Commission meeting to slam the department over the shooting of a mentally ill man. 

Dontre Hamilton suffered from schizophrenia but was non-violent, according to family members. When Officer Christopher Manney approached Hamilton, he reportedly violated protocols that escalated the confrontation, and he ended up shooting Hamilton 14 times, killing him. 

Flynn responded by firing Manney, taking flak from the police union in the process. When police protesters showed up to verbally attack him and other members of the police at the meeting, Flynn was having none of it. He shouted back at many of them and took a phone call, much to the chagrin of the protesters. 

This led the press to ask Edward Flynn about his actions following the meeting. His response is not only angry, thought-provoking, and impassioned, but it also symbolizes what many law enforcement personnel feel about doing their jobs in the 21st Century. 

I think that sometimes people forget just how stressful of a job police officers have.

They deal with people at their very worst, and often they are confronted with numbing amounts of domestic abuse, death, and human despair.

This of course is no excuse for the cop who guns down an unarmed person, or uses excess force to make an arrest. But it does help us to understand just how frustrated police officers must get with constant attacks on their profession, and disrespect from their communities.

I thought Police Chief Edward Flynn's remarks were quite appropriate, and I think they help to remind us that these are just human beings trying to hang onto their humanity, in the face of incredibly heartrending experiences.

The Body in the Street.

The below is from an article written by Charles P. Peirce, for Esquire magazine.

I am simply going to cut and paste a portion of it to give you an idea of how powerful it is, and then suggest that you click the link at the top and read the whole thing yourself.

Here you go: 

I keep coming back to what seems to me to be the most inhumane thing of all, the inhumane thing that happened before the rage began to rise, and before the backlash began to build, and before the cameras and television lights, and before the tear gas and the stun grenades and the chants and the prayers. I keep coming back to the one image that was there before the international event began, before it became a television show and a symbol in flames and something beyond what it was in the first place. I keep coming back to one simple moment, one ghastly fact. One image, from which all the other images have flowed. 

They left the body in the street. 

Dictators leave bodies in the street. 

Petty local satraps leave bodies in the street. 

Warlords leave bodies in the street. 

A police officer shot Michael Brown to death. And they left his body in the street. For four hours. Bodies do not lie in the street for four hours. Not in an advanced society. Bodies lie in the street for four hours in small countries where they have perpetual civil war. Bodies lie in the street for four hours on back roads where people fight over the bare necessities of simple living, where they fight over food and water and small, useless parcels of land. Bodies lie in the street for four hours in places in which poor people fight as proxies for rich people in distant places, where they fight as proxies for the men who dig out the diamonds, or who drill out the oil, or who set ancient tribal grudges aflame for modern imperial purposes that are as far from the original grudges as bullets are from bows. Those are the places where they leave bodies in the street, as object lessons, or to make a point, or because there isn't the money to take the bodies away and bury them, or because nobody gives a damn whether they are there or not. Those are the places where they leave bodies in the street. 

Bodies are not left in the streets of the leafy suburbs. The bodies of dogs and cats, or squirrels and raccoons, let alone the bodies of children, are not left in the streets of the leafy suburbs. No bodies are left in the streets of the financial districts. Freeze to death on a bench in the financial districts and you are whisked away before your inconvenient body can disturb the folks in line at the Starbucks across the street. But the body of a boy can be left in the street for four hours in a place like Ferguson, Missouri, and who knows whether it was because people wanted to make a point, or because nobody gave a damn whether he was there or not. Ferguson, Missouri was a place where they left a body in the street. For four hours. And the rage rose, and the backlash built, and the cameras arrived, and so did the cops, and the thing became something beyond what it was in the first place. And, in a very real way, in the streets of Ferguson, the body was still in the street.

Really, what more is there to say?

Anti-abortion protestors interrupt moment of silence for deceased member of Unitarian church. So Christian of them.

Hundreds of anti-choice activists are currently congregating in New Orleans to stage protests against abortion around the city, an event that’s expected to last all week long. So far, tensions have come to a head in an unexpected place: the sanctuary of a church, where abortion opponents interrupted a service to tell congregants that they don’t have a “true faith” because their denomination supports reproductive rights. 

This week’s protests are being spearheaded by the national anti-abortion group Operation Save America, which used to go by the name Operation Rescue National. That far-right organization, frequently criticized for its “militant” tactics, is perhaps best known for being tied to Dr. George Tiller’s assassination. And on Sunday, as part of its week long protest in Louisiana, group members decided to take their message straight to the First Unitarian Universalist Church of New Orleans. 

As the Uptown Messenger reports, anti-abortion activists interrupted worship at the church — specifically, disrupting a moment of silence for a church member who recently passed away — to declare that this particular church isn’t a “true faith” and tell the service attendees to “repent.” Operation Save America’s opinion about the First Unitarian Universalist Church is made clear on its website, which refers to the “church” and its “pastor” in scare quotes and calls it a “synagogue of Satan.”

Apparently this Flip Benham character is the father of the two homophobic twins who lost their reality show for their hateful comments recently.

So I have to ask once again, do ANY of these people ever read the New Testament?

As much as I disagree with Christianity, I simply cannot imagine the Jesus of the Bible being cool with this.

The 2014 Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference is underway in Washington, D.C. and one of the fun features they have apparently included this year is the ability to pee directly on President Barack Obama’s face. That’s right, there are Obama urinal cakes in the men’s room.

Now remember this is the Faith and Freedom Coalition who describe themselves thusly: 

We believe that the greatness of America lies not in the federal government but in the character of our people — the simple virtues of faith, hard work, marriage, family, personal responsibility, and helping the least among us. If we lose sight of these values, America will cease to be great.

Yes such great virtues and character these self proclaimed religious folks express don't you agree? 

And exactly what kind of "real" American actually urinates on an image of their Commander-in-Chief anyhow?

By the way the next time that you hear somebody pining for the America that our Founding Father's intended, while at the same time comparing our President to Adolph Hitler, you might want to educate them as to exactly what inspired Hitler's attempt to wipe out the Jews:

Hitler's concept of concentration camps as well as the practicality of genocide owed much, so he claimed, to his studies of English and United States history. He admired the camps for Boer prisoners in South Africa and for the Indians in the wild west; and often praised to his inner circle the efficiency of America's extermination—by starvation and uneven combat—of the red savages who could not be tamed by captivity. 

He was very interested in the way the Indian population had rapidly declined due to epidemics and starvation when the United States government forced them to live on the reservations. He thought the American government's forced migrations of the Indians over great distances to barren reservation land was a deliberate policy of extermination. Just how much Hitler took from the American example of the destruction of the Indian nations is hard to say; however, frightening parallels can be drawn. For some time Hitler considered deporting the Jews to a large 'reservation' in the Lubin area where their numbers would be reduced through starvation and disease.

Yeah America sure was a great place in the old days, if you were a white male Christian who did not have the misfortune of being born poor that is. 

Missouri rodeo features clown with Obama mask. Spectator describes crowd reaction: "It was feeling like some kind of Klan rally you’d see on TV."

A clown wearing a President Barack Obama mask appeared at a Missouri State Fair rodeo this weekend and the announcer asked the enthusiastic spectators if they wanted to see “Obama run down by a bull.” 

The antics led the state’s second highest-ranking official, Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, to denounce the performance in a tweet Sunday. He said it was “disrespectful” to the president. 

“We are better than this,” the Republican tweeted. 

State Fair officials said the show in Sedalia was “inappropriate” and “does not reflect the opinions or standards” of the fair. “We strive to be a family friendly event and regret that Saturday’s rodeo badly missed that mark,” they said in a statement Sunday. 

Perry Beam, who was among the spectators, said “everybody screamed” and “just went wild” as the announcer talked about having the bull run down the clown with the Obama mask. 

“It was at that point I began to feel a sense of fear. It was that level of enthusiasm,” Beam, a 48-year-old musician from Higginsville, said Sunday, referring to the reaction from the crowd that filled the fair’s grandstand. 

He said another clown ran up to the one wearing the Obama mask, pretended to tickle him and played with the lips on the mask. About 15 minutes into the performance, the masked clown had to leave after a bull got too close, Beam said. 

Beam was at the rodeo with his wife and a student they were hosting from Taiwan. He said they were having a good time until the end of the rodeo. 

“It was the usual until the very end at bull riding,” he said. “As they were bringing the bulls into the chute and prepping them ... they bring out what looks like a dummy. The announcer says ‘Here’s our Obama dummy, or our dummy of Obama. 

“They mentioned the president’s name, I don’t know, 100 times. It was sickening,” Beam said. “It was feeling like some kind of Klan rally you’d see on TV.”

This, this is who now makes up the base of the Republican party.

By the way it should be noted that if Mr. Beam had NOT placed this picture on his Facebook page and described what had taken place that those of us who were not there would have NO idea that this kind of thing was going on.

Personally I disagree with what the Lt. Governor and the State Fair officials had to say. Considering the description of the crowd response it seems to me that their state is not "better than this."

Is it any wonder that blocking everything that the President tries to do all but ensures the reelection of numerous southern Republicans back at home?

Romney confuses the "Sikh" religion with "Sheik," a Muslim term for leader. Just so hard to keep the names for all of those different brown people straight isn't it Mitt?

 Mitt Romney misspoke tonight when referring to the shooting in Wisconsin that took place at a Sikh temple, mistakenly using an Arab honorific in reference to the religious group. 

Instead of saying that the shooting occurred at a Sikh temple, Romney referred to it as a sheik temple. Sheik is a Muslim term for the leader of a village or tribe. Sikhs are not Muslims. 

“We obviously have challenges around the country. I was in Chicago earlier today. We had a moment of silence in honor of the people who lost their lives at that sheik temple,” said Romney, speaking to a group of donors gathered at a fundraiser at a West Des Moines country club. 

“I noted that it was a tragedy for many, many reasons. Among them are the fact that people, the sheik people are among the most peaceable and loving individuals you can imagine, as is their faith. And of course, the person who carried out this heinous act was a person motivated by racial hatred and religious intolerance. It’s really, really a tragedy,” he said. 

Rick Gorka, a spokesman for Romney, later clarified that the candidate “misspoke” adding that it was the “end of the day.”

Yeah it was the end of the day, Mitt was tires, and besides why would he give a shit?

After all until these people die so that his fellow Mormons can baptize them into their faith, it's not like they are his equal anyhow.

By the way wasn't Rick Gorka the guy that told the press to "kiss my ass" at the Polish holy site? Why yes he was!

Hmm, it appears that demonstrating respect for anybody's religion other than their own is not a high priority with the Romney camp now is it?

I am not always a huge fan of Griffin's but I have to admit that nobody sticks it to certain Republican women as well as she does.

And do you know what? She was right.

With all the shit that the Right Wing has been throwing at Obama lately he certainly did not deserve to have some prissy little reality show leftover biotch giving him attitude.

And by the way, I think the President was just being nice. There are certainly not many, but there are definitely a FEW, Republicans that I would choose over Hasselbeck any day, and I imagine so would President Obama.

In aftermath of "Fingergate" Jan Brewer's office was deluged with angry correspondence from people all across the country.

As I am sure many of you have certainly not forgotten. Arizona Governor Jan Brewer caused quite an media brouhaha after she was photographed welcoming the President to her state by jabbing her finger in his face.

At the time many of us here on the Immoral Minority, and other liberal leaning blogs and news outlets were justifiably horrified at her behavior.  However many thought that her actions would improve her Right Wing credentials with the fringe. Which it did.

However if you are like me you may have wondered how the majority of Americans felt about that exchange, given the deep partisan split that separates the Left and the Right in this country.

Well now we know.

In the days after Gov. Jan Brewer pointed her finger at President Barack Obama, her office received more than 12,000 letters and e-mails from people across the nation. Most of the communications condemned the governor, according to her office. 

The Arizona Republic filed a public-records request and obtained 100 letters randomly selected by the Governor's Office after it received them in the wake of the Jan. 25 encounter on an airport tarmac. 

The letters were written by housewives, veterans, middle-school students from New Orleans and even a former gubernatorial counselor who now lives in Peoria. The letters were e-mailed, handwritten and composed on old-fashioned typewriters. 

Each of the e-mails was read by Constituent Services staff. Brewer spokesman Matthew Benson could not say if the governor actually read any of the letters. 

Many of the writers were disgusted with the governor, calling her "trashy" and "tasteless." Others offered etiquette tips on how to behave when welcoming a head of state. 

"If you approached me like you did the president I would have taken great comfort by poking you in the nose," wrote Eleanor Tafolla from Cathedral City, Calif. "You might want to work on you (sic) prissy attitude you project. Whoa lady you did not deserve a talk with the president or anyone else for that matter." 

Some questioned whether Brewer would have pointed her finger at a White president and behaved as though she were in the Old South. 

Deborah Gross of Michigan wrote, "Your racism and crude behavior is typical of the GOP. Karma will not be kind to you and your fellow regressive, racist Republican friends." 

Still others said they would never again visit Arizona or support the state while Brewer is governor. "The stamp I use to mail this message will be the last cent I ever spend on anything related to the state of Arizona," Linda Bowers of Ohio wrote. "I suppose a populace that would elect the likes of you deserves the contempt and disbelief with which the rest of the nation views you and your state."

Of course, as you can imagine, there were some who supported her wholeheartedly. Some even wished she had been even MORE inapprorpatie and even LESS professional.

One writer lamented it was "too bad you couldn't have slapped him instead." 

Agnes Brunetti of Shenandoah, Iowa, wrote that she was "so very proud" of the governor for "standing up to that narcissist, egotistical, smug, puffed up President!!" 

However like I said that kind of response was not the  majority opinion, and in the end it was clear that Americans do not like it when anybody disrespects their President, whether they agree wit hall of his policies or not.

Which I think might be a good lesson for certain Republican candidates as they vie for the job of facing off with Obama in the upcoming 2012 election.

Police Sergeant who posted bullet ridden t-shirt with President's face on Facebook has been demoted.

A Police sergeant who posted a photo of a group of men holding what appeared to be a bullet-riddled T-shirt of President Barack Obama on his Facebook page last month has been demoted and suspended without pay for two weeks, the Peoria, Ariz., police department announced Tuesday. 

Pat Shearer, a 25-year veteran of the Peoria police department who has been serving as a patrol sergeant, will be demoted to the rank of officer, spokesman Jay Davies said in a release. Shearer will also receive an 80-hour suspension without pay, effective immediately, and has 10 days to make an appeal, Davies said. 

“The Peoria Police Department’s Code of Conduct states, all employees shall conduct themselves in a manner that shall never bring discredit or embarrassment to the City of Peoria or the Peoria Police Department,” Police Chief Roy Minter Jr. said in a statement. “We expect our employees to exercise sound judgment and not bring discredit upon our Police Department.” 

Good for Peoria Police Department. I am glad that they disciplined this idiot.

Gee maybe there's hope for Arizona after all!

Obama is having a good week. First Rick Santorum surges from behind to challenge Mitt Romney and demonstrate how batshit crazy the Republican party has become, then Franklin Graham is forced to apologize after being lectured by other Christian leaders, and now this cop gets a public spanking for being disrespectful to the office of the President.

First Lady Michelle Obama is helping raise money for the presidential campaign by doing photo sessions, at $5K a pop. This is completely standard practice, not unusual at all in an election season. But at Fox Nation, the official Fox News forum, it’s the occasion for yet another deluge of vile racism, right out in the open, in your face. Again, we see the deliberately misspelled slurs to avoid racist word filters, numerous comparisons to chimps and other primates, comparisons to “Sasquatch” and “Wookies,” blatant misogyny, and vicious stereotypes about African Americans. And many of the most disgusting comments are rated highly by other users.
