While supposedly honoring military veterans Donald Trump instead attacks media while saying "I'm president, and they're not."

Courtesy of the New York Times:

President Trump used the first part of his holiday weekend getaway to issue more denunciations of the news media, using a celebration of American veterans and freedom at an evening rally to thunder that he would not allow the “fake” media to stop his agenda.

Speaking to raucous supporters at a faith rally at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington Saturday night, Mr. Trump brought the crowd to its feet by condemning news organizations.

“The fake media is trying to silence us,” Mr. Trump told the crowd at the concert hall, after returning to Washington briefly from his weekend getaway at his golf club in New Jersey. “But we will not let them. Because the people know the truth. The fake media tried to stop us from going to the White House. But I’m president and they’re not.”

"I'm president, and you're not." So incredibly juvenile.

Remember countries around the world are watching this, and learning something about America that we have been denying for decades.

That there is a large segment of the population who are easily manipulated, and who respond to authoritarian language containing any buzzwords about freedom, patriotism, or family and religious values, regardless of who spouts them.

That was how the Russians used social media to inspire support for Donald Trump, and turn voters against Hillary Clinton.

And it is how they, and others, will continue to manipulate us for many years to come.

That is unless we educate a whole lot of people, in a very limited period of time.

Donald Trump: "I'm president and you're not."

Trump playing in a truck.
Courtesy of the New York Times:

Presidents usually choose their words carefully, the result of personal discipline and careful vetting by White House staff. President Trump is an exception.

In an interview with Time magazine, published on Thursday, Mr. Trump veers from topic to topic, praising himself and dismissing his critics in language that sometimes is hard to follow.

Here are some of those excerpts.

On his claim that Obama wiretapped him:

Why do you say that I have to apologize? I’m just quoting the newspaper, just like I quoted the judge the other day, Judge Napolitano. I quoted Judge Napolitano, just like I quoted Bret Baier. I mean Bret Baier mentioned the word wiretap. Now he can now deny it, or whatever he is doing, you know. But I watched Bret Baier, and he used that term. I have a lot of respect for Judge Napolitano, and he said that three sources have told him things that would make me right. I don’t know where he has gone with it since then. But I’m quoting highly respected people from highly respected television networks.

It does not seem to bother him at all that one of Napolitano's sources later said that the judge misquoted him or that Napolitano lost his job at Fox News over this.

Concerning those "terrorist attacks" in Sweden:

I am talking about Sweden. I’m talking about what Sweden has done to themselves is very sad, that is what I am talking about. That is what I am talking about. You can phrase it any way you want. A day later they had a horrible, horrible riot in Sweden and you saw what happened. I talked about Brussels. I was on the front page of The New York Times for my quote. I said Brussels is not what it used to be, very sad what has happened to Brussels. I was absolutely lambasted. A short time later they had the major attack in Brussels. One year ago today. Exactly one year ago today. And then people said, “You know, Trump was right.”

So now he is Nostradamus, predicting events BEFORE they happen?

Trump also apparently knows the meaning of life:

I happen to be a person that knows how life works. I said I was going to win the election, I won the election. In fact, I was number one the entire route, in the primaries. From the day I announced, I was number one. And The New York Times and CNN and all of them, they did these polls, which were extremely bad and they turned out to be totally wrong, and my polls showed I was going to win. We thought we were going to win the night of the election.

Actually the reporting I have seen demonstrated that Trump did NOT know he was going to win, and in fact was caught by surprise when he did.

And finally:

I inherited a mess with jobs. Despite the statistics, you know, my statistics are even better, but they are not the real statistics because you have millions of people that can’t get a job, O.K. And I inherited a mess on trade. I mean we have many, you can go up and down the ladder. But that’s the story. Hey look, in the meantime, I guess, I can’t be doing so badly, because I’m president, and you’re not. You know. Say hello to everybody, O.K.?

"I can't be doing badly, because I'm president and you're not." I don;t even know how to respond to that.

Actually as we know Trump did NOT inherit a mess, he inherited a country that had already been rescued from the LAST unfit president to hold office.

Let's face it folks, the Russians convinced a lot of really stupid people to elect a psychotic toddler.

And now we are stuck with him.

Well, at least for the time being.

Angry that one of his critics will show up to debate, Donald Trump threatens to bring Gennifer Flowers.

This of course is in response to news that actual billionaire, and Trump critic, Mark Cuban will be showing up to the debate tomorrow night.

Courtesy of People:

The famous entrepreneur who has taken up the cause of taking down Donald Trump revealed in a tweet on Friday that he'll be sitting front and center when the two nominees face off for the first time.

"Just got a front row seat to watch @HillaryClinton overwhelm @realDonaldTrump at the 'Humbling at Hofstra' on Monday," Cuban tweeted. "It Is On !"

Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks owner and Shark Tank star, was invited by the Clinton campaign to sit in the front row, a Clinton aide confirmed to CNN. "He has the best seat we have access to," the aide said, adding, "He has proven to be singularly effective in making the case against Trump and for Clinton. That is why we invited him."

This was clearly designed to get under Trump's skin, and guess what, it did.

So Hillary and the Democrats have demonstrated once again how easy it is to get Donald Trump flustered and cause him to do something impulsive and immature.

As for Gennifer Flowers, she's all for it.
However if Donald Trump seriously thinks this will rattle Hillary Clinton, he simply does not know Hillary Clinton.

P.S. By the way according to Mike Pence Flowers will NOT be at the debate.

Romney campaign leaks inside information to undermine Chris Christie's "bro-mance" with President Obama.

Okay political gamesmanship really does NOT get much more transparent than this.

Courtesy of Politico:

One of the most tantalizing subplots of the 2012 campaign has been the curious and sometimes controversial performances of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Now, campaign insiders tell POLITICO that Christie was Mitt Romney’s first choice for the Republican ticket, lending an intriguing new context to the continuing drama around the Garden State governor.

The strong internal push for Christie, and Romney’s initial instinct to pick him as his running mate, reflects how conflicted the nominee remained about choosing a running mate until the very end of the process. At least on the surface, Christie and Paul Ryan are about as opposite as two Republicans could be: a brash outsider from the Northeast versus a bookish insider from the heartland.

And yet Romney switched from Christie to Ryan in a span of about two weeks, according to a detailed inside account provided to POLITICO.

Romney was so close to picking Christie that some top advisers at the campaign’s Boston headquarters believed the governor had been offered the job. The campaign made tentative plans to announce a pick in late July, just before Romney headed off on his overseas trip, starting with a stop at the London Olympics.

In fact, Christie was never the final choice. Romney hit “pause” on the possibility shortly before his trip to the Olympics. Then he settled on Ryan the day after returning. Romney formally offered him the job within a week, leaving Christie hanging until shortly before the official announcement a week later.

Some Christie supporters were irritated to discover that the House budget chairman had been picked so long before the New Jersey governor had been told, meaning that he and other also-rans had remained as decoys. These supporters said at the time that Christie deserved more of a heads -up after being led on so strongly.

So did you catch the "hidden" message in this "leak?"

Chris Christie doesn't REALLY appreciate or respect President Obama due to his extremely competent response to Hurricane Sandy.  He is only pretending to like the President to get back at Mitt Romney for leading him on and when he was actually courting another fella behind his back.

The bitch!

Jesus Christ is this really how the Romney campaign responds to being publicly embarrassed by a supporter? By inviting the comparison of the other person to the equivalent of  a scorned ex-boyfriend?

Whatever happened to maturity in the Republican party?

Here we thought Sarah Palin was an anomaly, but in reality she was simply an example of how immaturely the GOP would function from now on. Who knew?

Watch the immature middle school tactics used by GOP to harrass and silence the female speakers on the House floor. A shameful performance

If I had voted for one of these assholes I would be dialing their Congressional office and demanding that they conduct themselves in a civilized manner while representing me and my district.

I hope the Republican voters are taking a good long look at the people representing them in Congress.

Update: Don't forget that Orrin Hatch already admitted the REAL reason that the Republicans are against this bill. "And if they get there, of course, you're going to have a very rough time having a two-party system in this country, because almost everybody's going to say, 'All we ever were, all we ever are, all we ever hope to be depends on the Democratic Party.' "

It has NOTHING to do with helping Americans, and EVERYTHING to do with retaining power.
